The 38 Best Restaurants in Mumbai, India - Eater

"Many Maharashtrians will concede the city isn’t the best place to get misal, the spicy, one-pot breakfast of moth beans served with bread and a ton of condiments. Martand does a solid version, guaranteed to make one break into sweats. Ignore the cheese and butter fry versions, and go for the classic special misal if it’s your first time. Note: If your spice tolerance is low, ordering buttermilk or solkadhi with the misal really helps battle the heat." - Sumedh Natu

Worst Experience. Ordered parcel while dining in, they took 15 minutes to make. I finished my food but didn't get parcel, moreover they asked to wait outside. The clark at payment counter was very rude and defending himself that their act was correct. Parcel bag received had food particals and oil at its base. Food is also average. Gulabjam was tasting like sheera as if it was sugar added in rava. Buttermilk was just white water. Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Great place to have Misal in Mumbai. Their spicy is not as tikhat as Mamledar misal, so you can give it a shot if you have decent spice tolerance. Typical puneri patya adds to the fun during your wait time.

One of the most popular misal pav joints in Mumbai, attracting people with their mouth watering misal pav. The presentation of the misal is too good and is served with a lot of farsan, onion and lemon. Kat is served differently adjustable as per spicy we require. The best addon to this is Kothimbir wadi which is perfectly cooked , crispy from outside and soft inside tastes much better with their green chutney. Moreover people go ahead with the Thali option where additionally, Dahi and gulab jamun are served on the plate.

If you are a non veg lover then you must definitely visit this place. They serve authentic non veg and veg thali. We were all non veg lover so went to check out this place for the first time. Starting with what we ordered we asked them about their speciality and they suggested us Martand Mutton Kharda special thali if you love to have spicy then you must try and for non spicy you must go for malwani mutton Vada thali or malwani chicken vada thali all the four thali's very super amazing in taste. Staff and owner were too friendly. Overall had a great experience, quality of food was amazing no doubt about it the quantity was too much one thali is enough for two would love to visit it again.
