I have always been extremely impressed with both the quality and especially the portion sizes at Martha's, as we try to come here a handful of times during the summer.
In the past I've always gotten a medium ice cream in a dish, And the serving size has been impressive to say the least.
I got one of their sundaes for the first time ever, and was actually disappointed by how average the portion size was, especially considering it was several dollars more than their medium ice cream!
Two small sundaes was nearly $18.50, and they were no bigger than my local ice cream stand that sells their small Sunday for $4! (Shout out Uncle Sankies!!!)
I will still always recommend Martha's to friends who are traveling through Lake George, but would only recommend getting their ice cream in a dish/ cone, as their sundaes are significantly overpriced in comparison! Either the portion needs to be increased, or the price needs to be lowered significantly.
***I included a picture of the local ice cream stand I was referring to, where their Sundaes are literally less than half of the price to what I paid at Martha's, and are identical size was!
I am also including a picture of Martha's medium ice cream in a dish to show that you receive well over 2x the amount of ice cream for several dollars less then their sundaes***
***AUGUST 2025 UPDATE***
I went here again at the end of the season and simply got a medium cone and a medium Ice cream in a dish, And the portions were as impressive as I remember!
The peanut butter ice cream here is as good as you are going to get anywhere in the country, and the blue moon with fruity pebbles is fantastic as well!
I still stand by my former statement that they are overcharging for their Sundaes, but this is still one of the best ice cream stands you are going to find anywhere! 🍨💪
