"Everything had been prepared by a woman named Raghida Haddad, who was born in Beirut, spent years working for the New York City mayor's office, and lives in Brooklyn. When I spoke to her later, the reason for the above-and-beyond bounty became clear: she simply couldn't help herself." - Hannah Goldfield

The food was delicious. They have indoor seating and a bathroom. The place was pretty busy but the line moved quickly. I made a large online order and it was definitely ready before the suggested time (which is awesome).

When you walk into this restaurant, the smells is going to immediately draw you in. It was literally like you traveled to dr and had the privledge to taste abuelas cooking. Moddo rice with beef stew and chicharones for a total of $20 flat($6 for the chichos and the rest you can do the math). The tin plate they use is not that big but they stuff thee eff out of that tin plate!😂 Everything was legendary and thankfully I did not have any complaints. Keep being Great yall.

Food always good, customer service always good. My family loves the chicken teriyaki lol I love the shrimp in garlic sauce. They offer fresh salads as well.

We have placed large orders from this restaurant in the last few months. The grilled chicken with beans and rice was amazing but lately they have constantly forgotten items we ordered and the grilled chicken that used to be soft and juice now is dry and rubbery. I do not know what happend maybe the cook was changed but regretfully we will not order from this place again. Thank you.

The food here is amazing but the customer service here is a hit or miss. The younger workers are very polite. But the older workers come off stand offish at times especially towards non Hispanics. They would serve a customer and then take a drink break up to 5 min while more customers enter the store. They also are inconsistent with their prices. One day their small container would be $10, another day $9 and then back to $10(same item) and the same for the sides and their prices. Like I said the food is amazing, but I will definitely never eat here again. And the reason why, because I was so embarrassed the last time. Because of the inconsistencies with the prices. Even though some of the prices are listed on the over head menu, you don't want to be scanning for the item you want. It's easier just to ask. I went here with exact cash based on what I paid for last time. Turns out the item was actually a little more than what I paid the last time. Upon getting clarification, the older worker walked away from me and went to serve the next person as I tried to explain that I was charged differently the last time. I went to another server and she said the same price and asked who served me? As she also walked away from me(which she was actually the one that served me last time).

I’ve eaten from here a couple times and the food is pretty good I never had any complaints up until I decided to order mashed potatoes to only find out that these are not homemade they taste like those powdered box mashed potatoes that you mix with water until smooth which I’m pretty sure that they are. Disgusting no taste at all and definitely doesn’t taste like mashed potatoes not to mention when I opened it I could tell by the look and smell that they weren’t homemade. Such a big disappointment, either you make them the correct way or just take it off the menu! #dontorderthemash

Place could do with an upgrade but the food and the customer service are worth the trip there.

Yelp
I hadn't visited this restaurant in years but I remembered that their food was always good. I decided to stop by and grab a bite to eat. I love fried boneless chicken chunks so that's what I ordered. However, that's not what I received. I received dry, overcooked chicken strips which probably came from boneless chicken breast instead of cutting the meat from a whole chicken. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the rice and peas which was tasty. I'll stick to my favorite restaurant in the future.

Yelp
This place is the definition of 'it's all good in the hood' . Definitely a hole in the wall gem that took me way too long to discover. I actually hurts me to know that I've been taking the bus in front of this place for years and hadn't ventured inside. In my defense, I've always been chasing the bus so never really stood there for a significant amount of time to explore the food choices here . Just trust that I will be making up for lost time because the food here is phenomenal. The best mojo/ rotisserie chicken I've ever had. Juicy, citrusy and garlicky. I ate from here 3 times last week and each time food was consistently good. Each time I went the staff greeted me like a long time customer. Generous portions and very good prices - great value. Pernil- omgoodness. Delicious and well seasoned. Sweet plantains, beef stew and all the Dominican favorites abound. Get extra MOJO sauce ( I say garlic sauce and the Tia behind the counter knows which one I mean ) I told a friend about my " new discovery " and she laughed that I thought it was a new place, said she'd been going there for years and said the breakfast options are unbeatable ($2.00- $7.00) eggs fried cheese, ham, mofongo , salami and great coffee included. I have to check that out soon too, it's not on my morning commute route but I'll take a detour for this joint. There's seating at the back ( 3 steps up to get to it and didn't look wheelchair accessible). Most people were just doing take out. Service is quick but friendly. My tummy and wallet are very happy here. Get here - number 3 train to New Lots - last stop. Footsteps from the train station. B15 bus literally stops in front of the restaurant. They close at 9pm so get your grub early.

Yelp
I remain in my position: This is the best restaurant in East NY. Again, this is a Mom & Pop and you will eat what they have featured, but they ALWAYS cover the basics. Their roasted pork (Pernil) is second to none.

Yelp
Good Spanish food in a neighborhood where, quite frankly, there isn't much around. They have a fairly decent sized seating area in the back - me and a group of coworkers came here for a celebratory lunch after passing our yard practical exam down the street in the train yard. I'm rarely over this way, but I'll be back if I find myself at New Lots on my lunch break.

Yelp
Where do I start?! The food, service, people all excellent. Every dish is delicious! Every person a sweetheart. I've never been to a restaurant where all the workers/servers are patient, kind, and generous! The rotisserie chicken! I buy one every week. The Arroz con gandules brings tears to my eyes. Reminds of my mom's. The chicken fingers - super tasty and tender. The pepper steak! The huge pork chops! The yellow rice with vegetables, the salmon, green bananas, boiled yuca, etc!! I am making it my business to try everything. This place has stolen my heart! Apple Pay accepted. They have family combos too.

Yelp
Always on point. Whenever I'm in the hood (Bushwick) in the mood for some Dominican food, first stop is here!

Yelp
Martitas has great tasty food with grest variety. I mostly order to take out but have also stayed in with family to eat. It is always packed as the people in the area absolutely love great Dominican food. I come every week for breakfast and lunch. Also good price.

Yelp
Foods tasty. Chicken could be less dry but I'd definitely eat from here again. Their passion fruit juice is also good.

Yelp
The best bacon egg and cheese in Brooklyn. great Spanish food and a lovely seating area. One of the best spots in East New York. A must visit when you are in the area.
