The 13 Best Restaurants, Bars, and Cafes in Sisters | Eater Portland

"This unassuming little pizza joint may make the best pizza in Sisters. Located on the main drag, its thin pizza crust rises to puffy chewy edges. High-quality mozzarella and homemade marinara sauce can be loaded with a variety of toppings, from pepperoni, chicken bacon ranch, the Barbie Barbecue pizza, or the Sisters supreme, a loaded pizza with salami, pepperoni, Italian sausage, sliced tomatoes and pepperoncinis. But it’s the not-to-be-missed cheese bombs that are worth the stop. A bun made of chewy pizza dough is stuffed with the mozzarella that melts and stretches and is best dipped into the housemade marinara. It’s the perfect snack after a day in the Cascades. The restaurant will be remodeled in 2026, but will be open during the project." - Barb Gonzalez

Google
The bbq brisket combo pizza was great. I also got the veggie pizza but was no where near as good as the combo slice. Crispy and crunchy and thin and tasty.... This is a great place.

Steve

Google
The GOAT pizza slice of Ashland. Get one and enjoy. Ingredients are fresh and the crust is typically a work of art. It comes thin and well-baked, never doughy, and lets the sauce, cheese, and toppings be the star of the show. This has usually been a 5 star spot for me, but I’ve ordered a couple take-out pies that have been underdone. I can’t give them a perfect score for that. I may try to ask for a more well-done pizza next time if it’s going straight into the box.

Melissa

Google
Best thin crust pizza in Ashland! 10/10 would come back again. I got a medium pep pizza with Canadian bacon, roasted and chopped garlic, spinach and black olives

Google
Fresh, delicious pizza by the slice. Thin crust, balanced amount of toppings. 10 mins in and out. Just like it has to be.

Google
Whenever we're in town Martolli's is a must stop for a couple of slices as we walk around town. There's always an excellent selection, the service is friendly and the pizza is warmed up perfectly. The crust is cooked with care and the pizza has that perfect NY style and taste.

Google
Quality ingredients assembled well - pizza by the slice! The Martollis Salad is epic! Make sure to get the pizza seasoning herbs and the garlic/fennel custom sprinkle. Well with the stop in downtown, even if it’s just to check out the posters and have a beer!

Great pizza. Pretty sure the staff were indulging in the region’s finest cannabis products all day. It was a genuine Spicolli moment. IYKYK

Google
Nope...they missed it. If you've read my many other pizza reviews you know that crust is king in my view and the crust here was just fair. 😟 The space was typical pizza parlor but not all that nice or appealing to me. They had a theme which was interesting, but space was was just not that appealing. The staff were mostly youngsters just doing a job which is fine, but I did not get a sense that there was anyone there who truly was super passionate about making the best pizza possible. They were kind and helpful, but I did not see the passion...which is ok for good, but won't get you to amazing...if that is what you are hoping for. The approach to toppings for a margarita pizza were not my favorites - lots of cut tomatoes on top of a cheese pizza (see photo). There is a better approach in my opinion, but it's just my opinion. The crust was the biggest lacking element, it needs a lot of work to get it to a higher level. This was a very basic crust you could make at home in an hour with no proofing or fermenting. Excellent crust is difficult and takes a long time, but if your business is pizza, make it the best and take the time. I'm hoping these folks will up their game and get passionate about having the best pizza in Ashland. Pie and Vine up the street is a better option in my option at this time.

Yelp
Are you KIDDING me?!?! Why is this place in ASHLAND?! Holy delicious pizza yo. My daughter found this spot searching for vegan food. And pizza is always good right?! Lol. Well not ALWAYS but Martolli's is. We got the Vegan pizza. The only one on the menu because we were hungry and needed food lol. Well it did NOT disappoint. I ate 2 slices. Both of my kids had 3 each!! I do have to say we should have gotten a larger pizza because my monsters didn't leave me enough. They'd easily have each had another slice and I'd have been happy for two more. The crust is a perfect wood fired crust. Light and crispy but not HARD. The perfect balance between hard and soft. NY style. Exactly. If you know...you know! The sauce was great. A nice Italian Red Sauce that didn't overpower but complimented the pizza crust and toppings. The staff was great. Very friendly and happy. It's a chill family spot and it feels like a local treasure that I sure am glad we stopped in to eat at. And we WILL be back. We plan to come again next summer!

Yelp
Welll! It's pizza! Crust was thin which I like and crisp which I also like. However, the combination pizza I ordered was mostly pesto with a few chunks of sausage (I think). My husband's pepperoni was fine he reported but unremarkable. We share a large Mediterranean salad which was the best part of the meal though I did have to correct the order at the counter because she keyed in the wrong salad. We also ordered a sausage and mushroom calzone to go (plan ahead because these take 25 minutes or so). Better than the pizza we thought. Order at the counter and then you pick up at the counter so I was put off by the tip request as we paid. I associate tipping with table service. And you bus your own table also. Wall decor is amusing. Service is fast and the place is busy so lots of others must approve.

Yelp
It's a by-the-slice pizza parlor in every sense. They usually be 4 very large, pre-cooked pizzas on display. The setting is no-frills. Pick slices, they warm them up and you're enjoying your food within a few minutes. The salads are also great here. Or, you can order an entire pizza. I recommend that you do that ahead of time or the wait will disappoint you.

Yelp
That was a really good slice of pizza! The crust was just how I like it, thin, foldable, and delicious! A pet peeve of mine is that the sauce and cheese at least needs to go closer to the edge and I usually don't eat a big piece of plain crust but theirs was good enough to eat plain, though sauce would have been better. We owned a printing company in that same spot in beautiful Ashland on the town square nearly 50 years ago! Fun to revisit and get a piece of great pizza.

Yelp
Martollis is usually a great experience but the most recent visit was not what I normally expect from them. A few sanitary issues and otherwise. While the pizza was delicious, one of the slices had a hair on it and there were a handful flies buzzing in the center of the room unfortunately. The other issue was when we went to order a second slice, the second slices were forgotten and we had to ask for them. With that being said, they were very apologetic and gave an extra slice which I was very appreciative of. I hope it was just an off day because they normally are a great spot for a slice.

Henry B.

Yelp
It's been years since I've visited Martolli's I remember really liking it 10 years ago probably I recently went there and got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of some other kind of pizza that had meat of some sort on it I was underwhelmed. Pizza was subpar I mean I think I've had better or at least equal store-bought pizza Anyway a sad disappointment for sure Not sure if it's changed ownership or maybe with the higher cost of food prices the ingredients of that cheaper less quality At any rate didn't finish
google avatar

Teresa M.

Yelp
Cool decor, but, not overly impressed with the food or price. Stopped in for a slice & it was just blah. The crust was bland, the cheese had no flavor, there was a lot of grease. For a plain cheese, it wasn't the worst I've had, but, I wouldn't necessarily rush to go here again.

Yelp
Pizza by the slice for the win! Had a special needs teen with use that was hangury for pizza and having only a 3 minute wait for his pizza saved the day. Young lady behind the counter and the gentleman cooking were super friendly and the concert posters and art work on the walls provided a nice distraction for the teen. A great pizza place for lunch. Great proactive customer service we witnessed while finished our meal. Gentleman cooking made another customers slice a little too crispy, told the customer that if he didn't like it he'd make him a new one.

Yelp
It's so nice to find a pizza restaurant that is aware of dietary restrictions like celiac disease. And for that gluten-free pizza crust to be super good? Soft enough to not feel cracker-y like lesser gf crusts, and thick enough to support the many yummy toppings. I am a big fan of garlic, so maybe my appreciation was mostly just stemming from the garlic lol, but I thought the El Greco pizza provided a lot of flavor Staff seemed friendly, too. All the rock posters and the mural added some nice character to the place, too
google avatar

Levee S.

Yelp
I love their pizza it has a great vibrant flavor and on top of that the employees are very nice to me and my friends when we go to eat there
google avatar

Tim J.

Yelp
Great New York style pizza. Thin, salty everything you want from an NY slice except this is in the middle of overpriced Oregon eating. Just fabulous. Give them a shot for a great lunch or low cost dinner
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
I ordered a Gluten Free pizza & never know what to expect when I get it. This is the best Gluten Free crust I've eaten. Most GF crusts are very hard. My TMJ appreciated that. This crust was flavorful & soft with a bit of crunch!
google avatar

Donna C.

Yelp
Outstanding pizza! Hot from the oven! Fresh ingredients! Quick delivery for takeout or table service. Steps away after OSF play. Yum!
google avatar

West Coast Eats ..

Yelp
One of the best pizza spots in Ashland. They have some pizza options that you can get by the slice, or you can order a whole pizza from their menu. They are located in a great spot in downtown Ashland with some outdoor seating option as well.
google avatar

Peter C.

Yelp
I was very disappointed in my pizza. The crust was tasteless, thin, and soggy. The toppings are not very generous. The place was Hoppin. Lots of people seem to like their offerings.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Possibly the soggiest pizza I've ever eaten. We couldn't finish it. I think they use a technique where you remove the pizza from the oven and submerge it in water before boxing. We were doing our best not to laugh at our impressions of Mary and Paul from British Bake-off. "Now that's a soggy bottom!"
google avatar

Benjamin K.

Yelp
Best pizza in world they have some kind of secret recipe. You need to go here please just try it and you'll fall in love with it. I've been there ever since I was a kid

Cyndy And Randy R.

Yelp
Cute place with some rock (music) art framed posters and painted on the walls. Plenty of seating: booths, tables and a counter with seats along the front window. Excellent customer service, too. The guy at the counter was very nice and helpful and professional. We started with a "small" salad that was quite fresh and large and delicious and just what we were looking for. I should start this part of the review by saying that I don't really like many pizzas. That said, I ordered a pizza - can't remember the name, sunshine something. It doesn't have the red sauce...I can't find it on their menu. Maybe olive oil and garlic? Definitely has artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, red onions and feta and then I added Italian sausage (it's not spicy, in case you care. I do :-) and it was soooo good. Randy ordered a build your own with tomato slices, garlic, pepperoni (it's spicy) and red sauce and he loved it. We both got the small and had left overs for lunch the next day - still delish. We will definitely go back when in the area.

Yelp
All the girls in there ate to busy talking to each-other just seen clueless, the guys are on point .

Yelp
What a lifesaver!!! I've come up to Ashland for school, and the one thing I was told was that a lot of the restaurants close early. Martolli's closes at 9 and by the time I got settled, they were a welcomed sight! The young woman who helped me was friendly and said The Barbie was a good choice, and was it ever! I love barbeque chicken pizzas, but this one, with the added pineapple was delicious! I also got the small Mediterranean salad which was enough for two. Sooooo good! It's a really great space and they sell slices too! Looking forward to trying more on their menu! Definitely worth checking out!

Ghostie G.

Yelp
it's amazing, I normally don't like thin crust but this place is going to be the reason I love it. great service, everyone is awesome. I feel welcomed, it's covered in awesome art and great music taste. would recommend!!!!
google avatar

Jerry C.

Yelp
Really good pizza. Love hand tossed pizza by the slice. Friendly fast service. Got pepperoni and combo seriously no complaints great crust great toppings. Definitely would come back.
google avatar

Robert E.

Yelp
I have walked by so many times, and it always smells so good. You can get pizza by the slice or order a whole pie. We ordered a medium combination, and it was ready fast--about 15 minutes. It was pretty good and I really like their sausage. Although I may order extra cheese next time. The decor is great. There is an awesome mural on the wall with Jimmy Hendricks and there is a bunch of music themed art.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Wanted Pizza, and we got pizza I was not disappointed. Daily Special was $9.99 for ANY Slice Pizza, Salad and a drink. They had Cheese $4, Veggie$5, Combo $5 and Pepperoni $4.50 I will definitely eat there again.
google avatar

Donna H.

Yelp
NYC pizza in Ashland. Incredible. I'm a tough critic and native NY'er. This pizza was some of the best I've ever had.
google avatar

Rena T.

Yelp
Grabbed a couple of slices of cheese pizza (for two) prior to going to the Green show on the lawn. They were quite large and delicious. That plus a salad was great for dinner! Very friendly service. The 2 slices cost less than $10.

John T.

Yelp
We stop here all the time on our way through town. The Mediterranean Caesar salad is just terrific. So creative with its homemade dressing, candied walnuts, Greek olives, and red peppers. Excellent pizza. Amazing how a homemade crust pizza dough can make the difference

Joey V.

Yelp
First off I would love to say this pizza is amazing but also I would like to add one of the cashiers Erelina i believe her name is was super sweet and helpful at my time at the restaurant she's really out here representing y'all keep up the good work guys

JoAnna G.

Yelp
Favorite place to get calzones! The dough is perfect and the ratio of dough to fillings is perfect too. I've only gotten pizza here once and it was pretty good, more like thin crust than the pan style pizza I usually like. The inside is spacious and I like that they have some outdoor seating as well. In the summer, they open up the front and you can enjoy the breeze while people-watching. The staff is always pleasant and nice. I always forget to take a picture of the food because I'm too excited and just dig in.
google avatar

Chris O.

Yelp
If you love thin crispy pizza this is your place. I tried two of their different pies, pepperoni and combination both were really tasty and had a very nice toasty crust. Looking forward to trying their other flavors.
google avatar

Briana V.

Yelp
I love pizza by the slice . After lots of walking around and through the park . It's a perfect quick bite to eat. The pizza is fresh and super tasty . Def. Recommend stopping by the shop for a slice
google avatar

Thomas P.

Yelp
Returned to give it another try and purchased a full pie. Good service and the pizza looked pretty. But the pizza crust is just lacking any type of noticeable flavor. Go if you're all about toppings, but for flavorful pizza crust and sauce there's better options downtown - and by the college.
google avatar

Niki T.

Yelp
Okay so my biggest complaint, as a tourist is... there's 2 locations. They're pretty close to each other, but I didn't realize how far it was from where I was staying, then to go to the wrong restaurant ‍ Yeah, more my fault... But after the long voyage, food waiting over 30 minutes and 20 minute ride back to the hotel I expected adequate food... But everything was delicious! Really loved the flavor and softness of the calzone. Really loved the grinder, I asked for the popular one and it was an awesome recommendation!!

Lisa S.

Yelp
I normally love this place. We showed up at 11:45 am, there was only a couple of pepperoni slices in the window.. i ordered 2 cheese slices and the girl said it would be 5 minutes. 4 minutes later the slices were done and they called my name. Wish I got a pic because they were so under delivery me I couldn't even eat it. You would think they were set up for the lunch rush.. nope, not here!!
google avatar

Crystal O.

Yelp
OUR FAVORITE PIZZA IN ASHLAND!!! BUT Now that you're only delivering via Doordash a medium pizza plus gratuity comes to more than $50. I'm so sad to say we won't be able to order from you any longer.

Michael P.

Yelp
Pizza was basic. Not the worst, not the best. Definitely a place to go if you just want a cheap lunch. Service was friendly but the server was so high it was hard did her to take our order. The ciabatta bread is not true ciabatta bread. It's pizza dough with cheese on it.
google avatar

Jen F.

Yelp
When we finally arrived in Ashland, we wanted a walkable, casual place to grab a bite and Martolli's ticked all our boxes! My family of 3 each got slices: cheese for the kiddo; veggie for me and pepperoni for my husband. The grownups got draft beer and the kiddo grabbed a lemonade from the cooler. The slices were perfectly toasted and brought out quickly, and the drinks were cold. What more could we have asked for?
google avatar

Mandy K.

Yelp
Ordered takeout mushroom-garlic calzone and foccaccia with garlic and cheese with a side of housemade tomato sauce and Caesar salad. Exceeded expectations from quick delivery to fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. By far the best pizza (adjacent) experience so far in Ashland.
google avatar

Carlos F.

Yelp
So this was a visit from before COVID, just to set the foundation. A local suggested two pizza places for me, and after walking around Ashland for a few minutes, this is the one I chose. I ordered to-go, because the park is just around the corner and I really wanted to sit at the park and people-watch. The order was for a mushroom and pepperoni pizza. I don't remember it taking a long time, but it was a weekday and towards sundown in the summer and there weren't a lot of people around. I take my cardboard box and sit it on the table right outside because I just can't wait to tear into it. The pizza itself is thin and a bit crispy, not doughy; just how I like it! The pizza is generously sauced, and most importantly, the sauce is flavorful without being sweet or overpowering. The cheese level looks lower than you would see at most big chain places, but in reality is well balanced because not only is the sauce complimentary and crust thin, but the cheese itself is above average. If you think mozzarella is all the same, you owe it to yourself to try a real restaurant-grade, whole milk cheese. I'd bet that's what they use. The mushrooms were fresh and thinly sliced, meaning they were cooked through and not chewy. And lastly, the pepperoni is large, thin, and has just the right amount of spice. All this can be summed up to say that this was probably the second-best pizza I've ever had. It was so good, I decided right there and then that I was going to have it for lunch the very next day before I left Ashland, and probably every time that I'm in town.

Yelp
Large delicious thin crust pies that will delight northeast pizza connoisseurs. Order by the slice or pie. Daily special: Slice, Salad & Soda for $8 May be upgraded too, which is nice given the terrific beverage options that include beer & wine.
google avatar

Ariel M.

Yelp
The pizza here is amazing! If you are allergic to olive oil then your options are limited. Too much dressing in the Caesar salad makes it unenjoyable and soggy. Service is great. Casual place.
google avatar

Madison M.

Yelp
Large Cheese Pizza $19.75. Also, CHECK YOUR RECEIPT before you leave!!! We were charged for 4 sides of ranch dressing, but there was only 1 tiny container of ranch in the box. The OTHER LOCATION has much better service and I've never had a problem. I think this location is taking advantage of the tourist population. UPDATE: After seeing 2 CHARGES (2nd was for an additional random $3?) on my bank statement, I called this location and talked with the manager (Travis). He assured me that is was an oversight due to a busy day and offered to refund me the 2 overcharges. I declined, but appreciate the immediate solution. I definitely want to support a LOCAL Business, but the 2nd location by Market of Choice (no tourists) is a better experience overall.

Shannon S.

Yelp
We ordered the simple pizza and it was just simply delicious. Definitely will go back when we are in town again. *chefs kiss*
google avatar

Allen M.

Yelp
New York style thin crust pizza. Crust was very good, tastes like it is hand made in house. Order at the register, service was quick and easy. About 12 tables, very casual atmosphere.

Taya G.

Yelp
BUSTING, DEVOURED. Affordable and delicious, mmm mmmm mmmmm. tables? Vibey! Fountain of youth? Near by. Friends? Sort of.
google avatar

Shawn S.

Yelp
The Pizza is decent enough, NY style - I'd recommend getting the fresh one and passing on the ones that have been out too long. The vibe is chill, with posters of Grateful Dead, Phish, Santana and Pink Floyd all over. What a long and strange pizza trip its been. Comfortable seating, come in for a slice and rest a bit.
google avatar

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
The inside decor reminds me somewhat of mystic pizza. I half expected teenagers with longboards to come laughing through . As it was , the restaurant filled up with all types of people - even at off service hours. After one bite, I could tell why it was so popular. The crust was thin, tender and perfect for folding, the toppings were fresh and warm but the real showstopper was the sauce. It was so, freaking flavorful that the pizza didn't need gobs of it . All in all, really good place!
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
The pizza was quick, hot, and delicious! The crust is thin and crispy with a solid cheesy topping. We also got pepperoni slices and enjoyed the toppings. Toddler approved. Reminded me of NY pizza!
