Here Are New Restaurants and Bars To Try in San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, and the Bay Area | Eater SF

"The popular Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen shop brought its creamy pork-infused broth and menu of ramen, rice bowls, and small bites to Cupertino, drawing the same long-line appeal it has in San Francisco's Japantown." - Paolo Bicchieri

Google
Marufuku Ramen in Cupertino is a top-tier choice for those who value a refined, creamy broth and a polished dining environment. Their signature Hakata Tonkotsu features a rich, umami-heavy soup base that avoids the excessive saltiness found at many competitors, paired with ultra-thin artisanal noodles. The Chicken Paitan is equally impressive, offering a velvety alternative, while the Marufuku Bites (pork buns) and crispy karaage are standout appetizers that justify their slightly premium price. The experience is modern and efficient, making it a great spot for both quick lunches and casual dates. However, the shop’s popularity means you should expect significant wait times—often 45 to 60 minutes on weekends—though their digital waitlist allows you to explore the nearby Stevens Creek shops. Service is remarkably fast once you’re seated, as the staff is trained to keep the "slurp and go" momentum moving to accommodate the crowds. The main drawback for some will be the cost-to-portion ratio; a standard bowl starts around $18.50, and those with larger appetites may find the chashu slices thin and the noodle portion a bit light. Expect to spend over $30 per person if you add an extra serving of noodles (kaedama) or a side dish. Overall, it is an exceptionally consistent and high-quality "modern classic," provided you don't mind the premium price and the likely wait.

Google
We tasted the chicken and pork broth ramen. They were both tasty, flavorful and portions reasonable. The eggs were slightly overcooked and my husband got spicy but it was not spicy at all. We also tried the Ika Karaage but felt slimy/oily and battery so I would skip that next time. Would def go back again for the ramen.

Google
Excellent umami ramen. The noodles are ok. For the standard ramen you get a whole egg, two thin slices of chase and green onio ns. It's a busy place but you get seated in half an hour if you join the Yelp waiting list. Skip the Chicken Karaage. Somehow, I find it too thick and firm for my taste. I will be back again to try the other menu items.

The only left was for me to be on my way, food tasted like I was at home with my family. Service made it feel like they were waiting me to arrive. Started with a dry beer , just what I needed. All the was left from the pork bum were onions . The ramen was fantastic, the chicken reminded me of the fist time I stayed home sick and tasted chicken soup. Stop by bring the family, worth every cent.

Google
First, I want to call out the Ika Karaage (fried squid). It was perfectly cooked with a light batter. The chunky pieces of squid had a great texture, and the accompanying sauce was a perfect complement. Definitely in the top 5 of the fried squids I have tried (4.5/5) We ordered the Hataka Tonkotsu DX in one spicy (3.5/5) and one medium (3/5). The noodles were perfectly cooked, it had a nice bite to it, overall great texture. The broth was savory and not overwhelming. The spicy broth was a lot better than the medium, even after I added extra spice to the medium bowl. I am assuming different amount of spicy oil used in the spicy version that made a slight difference. The bowl was not very spicy either, not just me, the table next to me also said the same thing. So go for the spicy, it had slightly more flavor profile to it. I was a bit disappointed with the chashu pork slices, they were a bit too thin compared to other places. The flavor was decent, they were also a bit drier than what I've had elsewhere. The pork belly was similarly a little dry, but flavorful. I was very disappointed with the egg, it was just a soft boiled egg. I was expecting (Ajitsuke Tamago) which is the marinated soft boiled egg that typically comes with the ramen. Maybe it was the style of the ramen, and this one calls for a regular egg.

Google
Tasty ramen served at this ramen shop in Cupertino. Although it is part of a chain, the food is still pretty good. The pork broth was super flavorful, the pork meat perfectly seasoned, and the noodle texture was spot on. Not a big menu of ramen dishes, but there are some standard appetizers and rice bowls as well. Efficient service. Large free parking lot.

The ramen here is so good — I’ve been back many times! They even have ramen for kids, which is great for families. My favorite is the Tantanmen, and if you order the Special Ramen, it comes with chicken!

8/11/2025 Marufuku Ramen 19772 Stevens Creek Blvd Cupertino, CA 95014 We went for lunch around noon on a Monday. It was full and Wifey put us on the wait list touch pad. It took about 20 minutes before we got a table. It's a clean and new table, bench and counter setup. It's in the same plaza as Tokyo Central and Daiso but nearby parking can be difficult during peak times. The menu has ramen and curry rice items. We both got the Hakata Tonkotsu ramen, spicy and ultra spicy. The broth was rich and with a good porky flavor, the pork slices had a mild smoky flavor, the egg had a runny yolk in the center and the thin noodles were firm and chewy. The spice levels were not very hot and Wifey added more Cayenne pepper in hers. A popular with quick turn around and it cleared up after about 12:45 with no waiting. Service was good and attentive. Excellent ramen and repeatable.

Yelp
Excellent service. Check in for the waitlist before you arrive. Food was delicious. Vibe was awesome.

Yelp
My friends and I wanting to try out a new ramen place, when we stumbled upon Marufuku Ramen on yelp. The server who we were assigned, Ethan, did a fantastic job discussing the menu with us, as well as recommending the top dishes which greatly satisfied my friends and I. The food was great, service was exemplary, and Ethan's hospitality made the environment a great place. I would highly recommend this place, and appreciate Ethan for being a great help!

Yelp
This is my go-to spot for Ramen in the bay area. Ive eaten here over a dozen times. I've tried all the other popular Ramen places over the years including Orenchi in Santa Clara (which is now permanently closed) and the famous Ramen place at Valley fair mall that always has a line wrapped around (ramen nagi). I liked Orenchi and I'm not sure why they closed since they were always busy. Marufuku Ramen is delicious and authentic. The broth is so good. The noodles are handmade, fresh, and a good texture. I always order the tonkatsu deluxe and have tried most of their appetizers. service is super friendly and attentive. I always enjoy eating here. They have a kids menu too, if that's important to you. They are reasonably priced for a Ramen spot in the Bay Area. Parking has never been an issue in the lot. I like the layout of the restaurant and they're never too busy. I try to join their Yelp waitlist so that I don't have to wait at all once I get there.

Yelp
Very yummy Tonkotsu broth; creamy, rich, and umami. The kind of broth that it's so yummy you want to finish every last drop or just straight out drink from the bowl. Also had light gingery flavor (just be careful with the actual ginger slices if you don't want to bite into one). This time, they had more noodles in the Hakata Tonkotsu, with nice al dente texture. They offer different spice level from no spice, less, medium to spicy. The chashu pork was soft but so little meat with two very thin slices. Took another 10 min to get a seat after the check in time. Food came out about 10 min after. Did not try other menu items but will definitely return to try something from the Teishoku Set next time.

Yelp
Came here for a Saturday lunch. There was a little wait and we were 6th in line; probably waited for 20 minutes for a party of 2. The ramen was yummy. My husband ordered the vegetarian ramen and I had the chicken. The only negatives was the staff; which ruined the mood of having a delicious meal on a cold, rainy day. We were seated and given the menu. Shortly right after, a server came to take our order, we told them we weren't ready and we asked for water and ordered an appetizer, that's as far as we got at looking at the menu. The server came back right away with the water and asked for our order - again, I told her we weren't ready. She seemed annoyed. A different server came to take our order. Unfortunately, when our appetizer arrived, so did our ramen. Terrible timing. During our meal, we felt rushed to eat our meal and leave; they kept interrupting to remove one item at a time from our table. We weren't there long either; there were other customers who were there before us and stayed longer than us too. We had one gyoza on the serving plate, but they took away my husbands little plate, so I had to finish it. There were times they would ask if they could take away items from our table and others no. I think they came a total of 5 times to remove items from our table and only refilled our water once; right before we left. I will not be returning to this location; I prefer Campbell.

Yelp
We stopped by for dinner tonight, for the first time. We were warmly welcomed when we entered. Luckily, we didn't have to wait for a table. They have a lot of seating inside. We were promptly seated. We checked out the menu and placed our order. My husband chose the spicy tantan men ramen, and I chose the hakata tonkotsu ramen. We also ordered the gyoza and the chicken karaage, as well as some hot tea. The chicken karaage came out first, and then the gyoza. Service is fast here. The chicken was so delicious. I think it's one of the best chicken karaage I've had. The dipping sauce it came with was very good too. I did use the lemon to squeeze all over the chicken. The chicken with the lemon and the sauce was a perfect combination. The gyoza was our least favorite. It didn't have much flavor at all. It was lacking salt. I wouldn't order that again. Our ramekins came out next, piping hot. I didn't know this, but you can pick either thin noodles or thick noodles. I wish I knew this before I ordered. My ramen came with thin ramen noodles, which I'm not a fan of. My husband's came with thick noodles. So I asked one of the servers about this, and they told me the default is thin noodles for the tonkatsu ramen if you don't specify when ordering. He was so nice about the situation. He insisted on bringing me the thick noodles and removing the thin noodles and putting them in a takeout container. So that's what we did. I really appreciated his kindness. My husband loved his spicy ramen. We both enjoyed the flavors of the broth and the noodles. The chashu pork in my ramen was so tender and delicious. I want to thank the staff for the best customer service I have ever experienced. Every single staff member worked as a team to make sure we had the best experience. We were checked on several times. Our hot tea was topped off. Our waters were filled. I really appreciate how they all worked together. It wasn't one staff member per section. They all helped each other with the same goal of taking care of the customers. We will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
My husband had the tonkotsu and I had the spicy tantanmen. Both were delicious with chewy noodles and the service was top notch. The chicken karage is our all time favorite and it was crisp and delicious with the kewpie mayo. I noticed that my broth was a little different from what I'm used to at other locations. Itnwas delicious nevertheless but different. There was a bit of wait when we showed up and then entered my name on the yelp waitlist inside the restaurant. There is Tokyo Central and Daiso nearby to explore while you wait. Their can be an hour long wait on some days so hanging outnin the area might be a good idea. This was our first time at Marufuku in Cupertino. I've been to their SF location and Redwood city location. So glad it opened up nearby!

Yelp
Came here on a Tuesday night and we got seated right away. Our server was really nice and checked in on us a few times. Surprisingly, there was plenty of parking, even though that plaza is usually packed. I ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu DX in medium spice. It comes with thick braised pork belly, chashu pork, and a soft-boiled egg. Everything was cooked perfectly. The broth was rich and delicious. I'm definitely coming back!

Yelp
One of the best vegetable ramen in the area! Medium spice~ Converted me to be a regular here :) Comforting soup, soft, gooey egg, marinated tofu, and variety of veggies with thin noodles. I usually can't finish ramen soup because it feels too rich, but this broth was perfect! Ambience is nice and service is fast.

Yelp
One of our "regular" dine out spots... and a favorite place to take friends (who then also add this to their regular rotation too! The food always arrives super quickly, and we can be in/out within an hour if we are in a rush to get somewhere. :) My fave is the Chicken DX bc of the yummy chicken leg that accompanies the delicious ramen. :) Leftovers for sure... or great for sharing with my daughter or husband! My kids love the fact that they have kid-friendly bento ramen meals for them... and even a fun coin machine for them to get a little prize on our way out. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive, which is a huge bonus! The fact that I can put my name on the waitlist as I am driving over helps too... because there is often a wait for prime dinner time.

Yelp
Soooo good! Marufuku Ramen was packed on a Friday night. Being 12th on the waitlist would seem like an hour wait, but it was a 20 minute wait for first seats available. We were eventually seated at the bar with a view of the kitchen. Service was friendly, fast, and attentive. The music and casual vibe of the restaurant will bring us back for more.

Yelp
MENU AND FOOD: Marufuku Ramen cooks up a selection of japanese ramen, appetizers and sides. SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE: Their service is quick and efficient. They have indoor seating only. Their decor is appropriate and appealing. PARKING: Located in a large plaza, they have a shared lot. While it may be hard to find a spot that's close, we typically don't have problems finding one. IMPRESSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS: After visiting the one in Oakland years ago, we're happy to see them expanding. We usually mix and match and get the chicken paitan, but with tonkatsu broth! The broth is light and flavorful and their noodles have great texture. You can add more spice to your liking. Their ika karaage is well made and tasty as well. This spot is definitely a favorite!

Yelp
The place itself is well-decorated. As soon as you walk in, you see a standing area. The dark green tile is gorgeous. Service was prompt, although they did take a bit to bring an extra set of utensils. The food was alright - nothing stellar about it. I got the deluxe and my hubby got the regular. The only difference with the deluxe was the addition of corn. We also ordered takoyaki, which, too, was ok. We won't be returning but at least we got to try this restaurant.

Yelp
Everything is universal to all ages and races, ingredients are fresh and so well presented. We ordered some fish tempura thing and some basic ramen. All of it was a 15 out of 10. The shrimp thing was the best I've had. The bao bun is solid but the shrimp and the sauce are godlike. The shrimp itself is zero over fried. It's Lucious and delicate. The ramen had a nice balance of flavor and toppings. I went medium and added a lot of that table spice to it. Clears your nostrils without making your bum hurt later. The pork belly was soft and perfect, the crisp pork belly I ordered was not necessary. Service is pretty quick but it's loud in here. There were little kids, old foggies, Apple employees. Everyone was having a great time. Highly recommend.

Yelp
One of my top ramen spots! I've been to the Oakland location numerous times and finally got to try this location. Tastes just as great, more lit and spacious of a spot. I'm glad they don't close mid-day on Fridays. Came a little before 2pm and didn't have to wait. It was still quite busy though. You can't go wrong with the Hakata Tonkotsu DX. Creamy and flavorful pork both (it's not thick nor too salty, very drinkable and doesn't leave you feeling dehydrated). Noodles were cooked well. This comes with both the chashu pork and braised thick pork belly. When they say thick, they mean it! Out of the two meats, I like the chashu more. I like all the toppings it comes with (but I'd say the pickled ginger was a bit strong/overpowering). If you have enough broth left, nice to bring home and add noodles to make another meal out of it. Gyoza was so juicy! Perfect amount of flavor in the meat stuffing. It wasn't too fried, so I like the balance of the steamed and fried parts. This was a great appetizer to start off the meal and devoured it before the ramen got to us. Workers were attentive and friendly. A lot of parking available in the plaza area!
google avatar

Yelp
Dare I say best ramen spot ever?! This is my go too spot and their service is always on point. The broth is full of flavor and creamy. The place is quite small, but the food and service makeup for that. If you're looking for a great ramen spot, look no further! Highly recommend this spot!
google avatar

Yelp
We got the Hakata Tonkotsu DX. The service was quick and the ramen was creamy, flavorful and delicious. You can choose the spice level, and we went with 'mild' to keep the original tastes intact. Place seems to be pretty popular, as we went there on a weekday afternoon, and almost all tables were occupied.

Yelp
Chicken paitan: 4/5 The broth is light and clear, yet filled with chicken aroma. Less creamy than soups from other ramen establishments but flavorful nonetheless. The chicken breast topping is mostly juicy and surprisingly good for a breast piece. Chicken leg (from paitan DX order): 3/5 This dish comes on a smoking cast iron plate that almost feels like it fills the room with smoke. It feels purely theatrical since the chicken leg simply tastes like baked chicken. And even dry in some places. Tonkotsu ramen: 4/5 Soup is also on the lighter side and less heavy than your typical Tonkotsu ramen. Chashu was okay but the braised pork in the DX version was flavorful and tender. Chicken karage: 2/5 Batter felt slightly undercooked where it had a slightly slimy texture. Chicken was fatty and tender though.

Yelp
This rating is based primarily on the Ramen. I'm not saying there wasn't other things that were good and other things that were a miss but overall it gets 5 stars because of the Ramen. Just ok: Chicken Katsu Curry with Rice & Salad. Chicken Katsu was good but the curry sauce was so bland. Flavorless and boring. I did love the little pickled radishes on the dish as well as the little salad it came with. The dressing was really tasty. Good: Gyoza were pretty standard but good. Awesome: Marufuku bites. Little steamed buns filled with Pork Chashu with a delicious sauce on top. I could've eaten 2 orders of these by myself. AMAZING: Hakata Tonkotsu DX. Absolutely amazing. This ramen exceeded all expectations. I was a little worried about the noodles because they were thinner than what I'm used to but they had that perfect chew and were absolutely delicious. The broth was SENSATIONAL. I could've drank a bowl of that by itself. If that weren't enough the bowl was filled with all sorts of delicious treasures. We wanted to explore the menu so we decided to share the Ramen, but in the future I will never do that again. After I realized how good the Ramen was I looked around at all the tables in the restaurant and hand to God, every single person there had a bowl of Ramen in front of them. There are some other things that are worth ordering, but this is the Star. But DUH, RIGHT?! it's all in the name of the restaurant. ORDER YOUR OWN! Casual spot but still very nice. Service was excellent. Our server was super sweet and helpful. When we were leaving, there was a gentleman who gave our child a token to get a little toy out of a rather big gumball machine. It made his whole night. Thank you! And Thank you for a wonderful meal.

Yelp
The broth was kind of salty and the place was packed and noisy. For the wait, I was disappointed by the small bowl. There are much better ramen places nearby.

Yelp
It was my first time dining here and I liked the ramen a lot. The broth was good and full of flavor and particularly really liked the thin ramen noodles. Takoyaki was crispy and the extra bamboo and mushroom was a much needed. Service was fast and the restaurant is very well kept with a nice flow of traffic. Definitely will be back, I'm very intrigued by other items on the menu. Overall rating: Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Menu: 10/10 Restaurant Vibes: 10/10 Price to Overall Dining (POD): 10/10

Yelp
I ate at Marufuku in SF many, many years ago, but today was my first time visiting the location in Cupertino. Marufuku is on Stevens Creek near Wolfe in the same center as Daiso. Marufuku is next door to the Brazilian steakhouse. I arrived a little bit before 2 o'clock on a Saturday, and the restaurant was full. There was one open spot at the counter, so I was seated right away, yay! I ordered Karaage Chicken to start my lunch. The fried chicken came out really fast! It was served with a lemon wedge and a spicy sauce (surprise, no Kewpie mayo). I thought the color was really light, and after a couple of bites, I realized why. The chicken was raw in the middle. Eww. To Marufuku's credit, my server quickly took the chicken back to the kitchen and said they would make me a new batch--no fuss, just fixing the problem. My replacement batch of karaage came out with a more golden brown color and was cooked through, phew. For my ramen, I went with the Hakata Tonkotsu Deluxe, which came with chashu, egg, green onion, woodear mushroom, bean sprouts, corn, pickled ginger, and pork belly. I was so happy to see my big, fat piece of fatty stewed pork belly. The broth was very rich and flavorful. Marufuku was super thin noodles. Other than the chicken snafu, everything was really good. I will definitely be back. Thank you Marafuku Cupertino!

Yelp
After putting my name on the waitlist, we were called in earlier than expected. The staff were friendly and respectful. Our food arrived hot and delicious, and I would definitely come back. I especially loved how the creamy broth had plenty of vegetables--it felt light and not overly heavy or overly seasoned.

Yelp
Yummy food, great service. Our server Alex was so great and made our experience exceptional. Got the Ramen and Chasu rice bowl, will definitely be coming again. Service from Alex was amazing!

Yelp
My family and I arrived at Marufuku Ramen at 1:15 pm on Saturday, and we noticed a line. Fortunately, the restaurant permitted us to sign up for a waitlist on Yelp, so I did. The wait time was approximately 35 minutes before we were seated. The chicken karaage was delicious. I ordered the Spicy TanTan Men, while my wife opted for the Hakata Tonkotsu ramen. Both dishes came with generous portions and were incredibly tasty. The customer service at Marufuku Ramen was excellent throughout our dining experience.

Yelp
Tried Marufuku for the first time the other day, and I'd say that overall it was okay. I got the: - tonkatsu dx ramen - nice broth that does taste like it's been simmered for long hours, like the sign outside the restaurant says LOL. Broth was rich but not overly salty, which I liked. Overall I'd say the broth is the best part of the ramen dish. Noodles were good as well--I asked for thick noodles since I prefer those to thin noodles, and I appreciate that they had this option. Egg was nicely seasoned but over cooked. Meat was also nicely seasoned, though I wish the kakuni was more tender. It's usually fork tender at other ramen places I've tried (e.g. ramen nagi), and I ended up needing to put some extra force into breaking the pork belly apart. - kakuni (pork belly) bowl - same pork that was in the ramen ^^ except w/ rice. I wish the bowl included a bigger piece of pork! Especially if it's an $8 dish. All in all, I'm glad I tried Marufuku, and I'd perhaps come by again to try other things on the menu (or may try out the new Campbell location) but I won't be going out of my way for it, just because there's other ramen places that are also good and cheaper. Overall food was 3.5/5 stars; service was great though so I'm bumping this up to 4 stars!

Yelp
My best friend and I went to Cupertino, and of course, I had to stop by Marufuku Ramen again. We were seated right away and served super fast. I ordered my favorite the Hakata Tonkotsu Deluxe and it never lets me down. Definitely one of the best ramen spots around!

Yelp
Came by for lunch the other day and it was a mediocre experience. Having ramen in Tokyo where it's on every street corner, I was hoping that this restaurant would be at least on par to Japan, since my last visit. Parking was plentiful in the private lot. Parking was also available on the residential streets around the strip mall. We were able to be seated upon arrival. The host did the traditional Japanese greeting upon arrival. Started off with the gyoza and it was ok. The filing was minced pork and the gyoza skin felt a touch off. The bottom wasn't super crispy either. The chicken karaage was also ok. The chicken was flavorful and juicy and also came with a side of Japanese mayo. The breading on the chicken was slightly off. The ramen itself was also ok. The broth was pretty weak compared with Japan. The egg was good and the noodles were the thin type. The cha shiu was decent though. ~$27/head after tax and gratuity for lunch. Gratuity suggestions start at 18% after tax.

Yelp
I came here with a group of five friends on a Sunday afternoon around 3:30 PM, and everything from start to finish was smooth and enjoyable. There was no wait when we arrived, and parking was surprisingly easy--a rare combo when you're dining out with a group! The restaurant has a warm, traditional ambiance that immediately makes you feel welcome. It's well-decorated, clean, and has a vibe that strikes the perfect balance between casual and cozy. The service was outstanding--our servers were super friendly, attentive, and patient, letting us take our time to decide without ever making us feel rushed. They quickly got us water and took our orders once we were ready. The food came out fast and, wow--it was delicious. The ramen was full of rich flavor and perfectly seasoned. I especially loved the texture of the noodles--nice bite and not too soft. The portions looked small at first glance due to the size of the bowl, but don't be fooled--we were pleasantly surprised by how filling everything was. All in all, Marufuku Ramen is a solid, casual spot for amazing ramen, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I'd absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking to get their ramen fix without the usual wait or fuss!

Yelp
solid cozy ramen shop! their ramen broth is very rich and i would definitely consider it a nice comfort meal. i also really enjoyed their shishito peppers! this location is located in a pretty busy plaza, but there's plenty of parking. if you're arriving during a common meal time, definitely get on the Yelp waitlist ahead of time. we waited around one hour to be seated in the afternoon.

Yelp
Marufuku is one of the better ramen places in the South Bay. We've ate here a couple of times before and each time, it's a great experience. We always join the waitlist prior on yelp before heading over. Our go to is the Hakata Tonkotsu (both regular and DX). The noodles are perfectly al dente and the broth is very flavorful. The highest spice level, ultra spicy, is not unbearable but it gives a good kick. Good for those who can handle spicy food. The karaage is very juicy and comes in big pieces. If you get extra noodles, I recommend ordering them midway through the meal. If you order at the beginning, the noodles will come with your ramen and it'll get cold and clump together. It's more fresh when you order it midway.

Yelp
Great to see a location open up in Cupertino. Delicious tonkotsu broth and pork. Didn't care as much for the modern ultra-thin noodles, and wish there was an optin for the traditional thicker wavy noodles. Our all-time favorites are Ippudo and Ramen Nagi, but Marufuku is a respectable option and offers chicken-based ramen for those who are into that.

Yelp
Came on a Friday night at 7pm and there were 17 parties ahead of us haha -- their ~45 minute wait time was pretty accurate though and we killed time walking around Daiso. The staff were all super friendly and took great care of us. The Hakata Tonkotsu ramen is super solid. The broth is super rich and has fantastic flavor, the thinly sliced pork chashu is tender, and the egg is perfectly jammy. If I had to nit pick, the only component of the bowl I didn't love were the noodles. The noodles were too thin so they got soggy in the broth really fast, and the ratio of noodles to broth was a bit off (too many noodles and not enough broth) + the bean sprouts mixed into the noodles cooled down the bowl quickly and only the first few bites stayed hot. Otherwise, really solid choice and looking forward to trying more menu items!

Yelp
Craving for Asian food after a European trip, so we came here. As usual, it's busy and you need to sign into the Yelp waitlist. It pays to be waiting on site with the full party as we got seated in less than 5 minutes. Service was ok, not a lot of checking in but we got what we need. We ordered a tonkatsu DX noodle with chashu rice bowl. The noodle was expensive for like $20 bucks but didn't come out as big a bowl. It tasted ok but I do wish the noodle are thicker as the broth is the thick kind. Overall tasted ok, but nothing inspiring or wow me.

Yelp
Came here right at opening and there was already a line forming. Got sat right away and got to ordering especially since they have a chicken paitan dx which includes a chicken which is only limited 15 a day so had to try that! Service is very fast, got all of our food within 10minutes. Ordered the chicken paitan dx and regular chicken paitan. It was very delicious and fulfilling, I was going to add some bamboo shoots but good thing I didn't since I would have been too full! The chicken that came with the chicken paitan dx was okay not a fan but maybe you will be if you like a sweet soy sauce chicken. Was a little too marinated for me tbh. I orders the chicken paitan dx mild but didn't taste spice at all so had to add more spice that they have at the table. Also ordered the shrimp tempura bite which was a shrimp tempura in a white bread bun. Very Felicia especially the sauce it was with. And also got the classic chicken karage, can't go wrong with that. Also tried their yuzu soda which was refreshing and not too citrusy like I thought it would be. Overall would come again!

Yelp
I always get the hakata tonkatsu dx whenever I eat here and it always satisfies my ramen cravings. However, I do wish that they cooked the pork belly a bit longer since it is a bit tough to bite into. The chashu pork on the other hand is tender and soft. The toppings to noodles and broth ratio is perfect and the broth itself is flavorful and not too salty. The noodles are cooked perfectly. I also enjoy the karaage rice bowl and like the fact that they give big pieces of chicken. The batter isn't oily and I like the crunch to it. The restaurant itself is small, but they do have a lot of seating--but it is very close knit to each other. I wish that they spaced out the tables a bit more instead of feeling crammed and close to other people.

Yelp
Loved how thin the ramen was here. The portion size was perfect. The menu isn't very large at all, so the service could've been a little faster. (Wasn't a full house when we dined.) The chicken leg is served at a limited quantity and unfortunately a little bit dry. I would probably skip the chicken leg next time but I did enjoy the chicken ramon more than the tonkotsu.

Yelp
I may or may not have come here two days in a row. Ordered the veggie ramen. What worked: -- friendly service and lively atmosphere -- really quick to get our food! -- the veggie ramen is delicious. I loved how deep the flavors are -- there's an option to purchase extra noodles for your leftover broth, great idea! -- the noodles are eggy and chewy and perfectly cooked -- parking is abundant and easy. Lots of stuff to explore in the plaza, too What didn't work: -- the wait time was kind of long the first time I came, about a half hour -- I wish there were a few more veggies in the veggie ramen! Carrots, mushroom, etc would be a great addition Overall, I'd love to come back! This is my top ramen restaurant now!

Yelp
Whenever we are craving for a good bowl of ramen and if we are in Sunnyvale Cupertino, Marufuku ramen is always our first pick. There are some other highly rated ramen restaurants nearby but they are either always crowded (Ramen Hajime) or they are just overrated (ippudo) Pro tip: use Yelp app and get onto the waiting list while you're driving over, this can greatly reduce your wait time. The restaurant is very spacious and their staff is always quick and friendly. I highly recommend this place to ramen lovers.

Yelp
Stumbled in here randomly on a Tuesday for lunch and it was almost all full! Got seated right away and ordered chicken katsu curry and a kids ramen set! Very impressed w the kids meal--ramen, Karaage, edamame, French fries and a gachapon token! What was even more impressive was the quality of their Hakata style noodles and richness of their Tonkotsu broth. Really really good. Staff was attentive and polite! We will be back to sure!

Yelp
Stopped by during lunch rush over Memorial Day weekend with my boyfriend. We had to wait for about 30 minutes to get seated, but luckily this place uses Yelp Waitlist so we could venture around the plaza during that time. What we got: chicken karaage (4/5) -- i thought the chunks of chicken were quite large and stringy with certain bites. The sauce was really nice and zippy Hakata tonkotsu DX (4/5) -- noodles were nice and firm. broth wasn't overly salty. ginger was a good addition. the slices of chashu were really preasant to eat, however the large chunk was quite dry and not very fall apart tender. I did not want to finish it because it was also somewhat salty Hakata tonkotsu (4/5) -- same opinions, just without the large chashu chunk I want to come back just to try the sizzling chicken plate since that smelled amazing. Service is quick and minimal, good if you do not want to be bothered.

Yelp
This place is just as good as the hype. The quality is great and the service is just as good. The place is so clean and aesthetically pleasing. We were seated right away and once we ordered the food was brought out fairly quick. My favorite appetizer was the seasonal shrimp bao. It had a light lemon cream sauce which was so refreshing. I also enjoyed the gyoza as it tasted homemade than store bought. I ordered the hakata tonkatsu and it was so good! You can taste the quality of the ingredients.

Yelp
Marufuku has delicious ramen. My partner said this was the best vegetable ramen he's had. I got the tonkatsu DX ramen which comes with an extra piece of pork belly that reminded me of Thit Kho. The broth isn't too salty, the egg was silky soft, and there was plenty of corn - all good things. There's almost always a waitlist but it moves quickly since the servers are all so on top of everything. We'd definitely come again and bring others with us since the atmosphere was good for groups.

Yelp
Awesome tonkotsu ramen, helpful staffs. Love the ramen broth, creamy rich in flavor and not too salty. Noodles were cooked with right firmness, not soggy. Interior vibes are cool like having ramen in Japan.

Yelp
I tried their hakata tonkotsu ramen and chicken paitan DX. The hakata tonkotsu was average and on par with other ramen places I've had in the area, but the chicken paitan DX was unique in that they serve the chicken drumstick on a grill plate separately from the ramen. The chicken was marinated well and paired well with the ramen, so I would recommend trying that. I would be down to return and try other ramens, especially the limited time specials they have.
