I'll take you back to childhood time when you're best known cook was nan. An irresistible pleasure, an adventure, a taste! Those days are not gone at all at Mary's Bakery. We had a pleasure to meet an owner and her daughter. We tried everything they had to offer, and I would struggle to recommend any food as all did take, look, and smell too good to be true. If you are in county mayo and miss this place.... you haven't lived! Out of 16 items I bought, there was only one issue..... not enough! But belly refuses to take more in. Yes, it might seem I'm overreacting, but please come and prove me wrong. Shame I can only give 5 starts as that place deserves hundreds of them. Place do takeaways cash or card and service and atmosphere is like at home. P.s. Cheesecake looks like it is on photo as we had it travel with us for a while. But still taste awesome

A beautiful, quaint place to grab a bite while you're in Ballycastle or visiting Down Patrick's Head. 😍 I've never seen it before, it's tucked out the way, but well worth a visit. AMAZING home made food and lovely friendly people. I'll be back with my wife when we're next here, thank you! Do not miss this place like I have done!

After a windy walk along Downpatrick, stopping at Mary's Bakery to pick up a freshly brewed coffee, wolfing down a toasted panini and enjoying some baking, that is being made right in front of you, is just a perfect day! The place is newly opened with a bench and a picnic table outside the front. Mother and daughter are salt of the earth and super nice!

Beautiful place to have some great food in a very small village on Wild Atlantic Way and easily the best option around Downpatrick Head. Staffs were so nice and the seating in the backgarden is superb. Ordered Vegetable Soup, Soda Bread and Fish platter and it was all good. The home made soda bread was the best I ever had so far. Sadly Crab Meat were not available on the fish platter. Surely will come again to try some other dishes from their menu.

Lovely restaurant with a fantastic staff. Dishes are delicious, specially seafood chowder (the best I've ever tasted) and 60%dark chocolate cake (made me feel in heaven!!). You feel at granny's home. Recommended 100%!!!

A lovely cottage bakery with bread made to Mary's own recipe. Delicious. She only makes couple of Dozen loaves a day so get there early! Sausage Rolls were lovely as were the homemade flans & potato cakes. Mary is great and has time for a chat.
