Had a the delicious Wrangler Burger and Fries for a late lunch here, yesterday. Read through a bunch of reviews this morning before writing mine. I noticed a significant number of reviews from people with only 1-2 reviews, and place no emphasis on these.. as they are usually from people with a vendetta ! The review from Ryan Sutherland, the truck driver with issues because he was not allowed to overnight with his Semi-Truck in their parking lot. (no one owes you Free accommodations Ryan). <><> I could see that the common denominator of most of the reviews was SERVICE, and can agree with that summation. At 3:00 in the afternoon, Mary's Cafe not busy, and even though there were 3-4 young ladies working, it took several minutes before one of them greeted me with a menu. +++ I did get a chuckle when she asked me what I'd like to drink, and I asked her if I was far South enough to get "Sweet Tea". She said sure, then a moment later, held up sweetener packets and said I could make it as sweet as I wanted !! I turned her down and opted for water. <><> About twenty minuted later, my waitress brought out this Giant burger and huge order of fries ! I'd never had a burger this tall, and could not formulate a plan of attack.. so just dove in ! Pretty sure that it was the best-tasting burger that I'd ever bit into !! But the method of attack also delivered a shot of BBQ sauce into my nostrils !!! But worth the damage.. and the Fries, so good ! I'm a big fellow, but this meal could have easily fed two people. <><> back to my waitress.. after bringing out my food, she never offered to refill my water, she never asked me how the food order was... even though she and another young lady were just feet away, wrapping silverware. So.. therein supports the overall complaint of service in these reviews. If the owner were able to properly train and motivated her wait staff, it would no doubt make a huge difference in feedback! ( It was not based on merit, but knowing the struggle for low-income folks.. did tip $20 on a $19 check).
