Google
Beautiful place with a classic American diner vibe, but even better than the décor was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and attentive, and our waitress Sarah was absolutely lovely — she gave us great recommendations and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious from start to finish. A top spot, highly, highly recommended!

Overall, it was a pretty good experience. Went on a Saturday morning on our way to Robot Zero Comics. Quite a few people there for the morning. Seated immediately and service was pretty quick. I got Mary’s Big Egg Bowl and the wife got pancakes and biscuits and gravy. My egg was cooked perfectly and the bowl was delicious. My wife’s pancakes were ok, but they don’t carry regular butter and the imitation butter wasn’t good. The biscuits were good and you can tell the gravy is made with love!

Google
We found Mary’s just doing a quick search for a place for breakfast and immediately decided to go after seeing the pictures. It’s such a nostalgic diner vibe. The best part? The amazing diner food. The pierogies with sausage gravy were phenomenal. The pancakes were enormous and easily the size of a medium pizza. All of the portions were huge, the coffee was delicious, and everyone was so attentive and friendly.

Google
Awesome restaurant Service was horrible. Brings you back to the 50s and 60s.The motive and the restaurant is 50 60s.Got seat, was never waited on,no menus or even coffee. Another group came in after us ,got waited on first. Do not waste your time just keep driving.

Google

Google
Delicious breakfast! Loved the decor, staff was friendly and checked on us often. Passing through and found this place..

Google
I ordered a breakfast for lunch and it was absolutely delicious! I can't remember the exact name of it but it was something like Mary's breakfast bowl. It was an open face omelette with sausage gravy, ham, cheese, peppers and hash browns. It also came with my choice of toast. The server was absolutely fantastic! If you're there ask for Sarah she is amazing. Like everywhere the prices have gone up. I was stunned that coffee was $3.50. But, we don't eat out a lot so it's more of a treat to us.

Google
Took grandkids here for dinner, turn out to be much more. A lesson in nostalgia and the 1950 hits that were playing. A great dinner with lots of memories from it.

Yelp
Small town diner on our trip up North. Friendly wait staff, good food nicely portioned. Worth a visit.

Yelp
Very nice to dine with the locals. Was up here for a swim clinic and stopped in. Clean, friendly and fast service came with delicious breakfast food. If in the area, will stop back in!

Yelp
Friendly wait staff. Fun traditional 50s diner vibe. And typical diner fare with seasonal specials. We were here on a Saturday at 5:15p and were in and out in a half hour. Perfect for between soccer matches at Spire (only 8 minutes away).

Yelp
Here's the problem with Mary's Diner. It serves good Diner food in ample quantities, at a good price, by really super duper servers. Wait! There's no problem there! This place checks every box as a diner!! But I had the cabbage rolls Sunday special and they were wonderful. So take into account that this is coming from a guy that orders cabbage rolls!!!!

Yelp
I'm a sucker for a diner, and I did enjoy my meal at Mary's. We went for brunch at the tail end of our trip to Geneva. I had my dog, so we sat on the patio, even though it was a bit chilly that day, and while we were the only ones out there, the service was good. Breakfast can be hit or miss for me and the selection here was OK. They have a lot of combos of eggs, meat, pancakes, but not many side options if you don't eat meat, and they don't offer the combos without, so for me, that's always frustrating. The French toast was decent, and my over medium eggs were, in fact, medium. My dog was very happy with her massive pup cup.

Yelp
My friend and I were craving a Sunday morning brunch. However we had a dog with us. After searching for a pet friendly patio we decided to try Mary's Diner. My friend and I were the only people on the patio during our visit. So I was a little worried we might be neglected by our server. Thankfully that was not the case. our server checked on us frequently. For breakfast I ordered a short stack of blueberry pancakes, sausage and hot chocolate. The pancakes were huge! I found the pancakes a little bland in the bites that didn't have blueberries. The pancaked needed about twice as many blueberries. Also the hot chocolate was very tasty especially with the thick whipped cream topping. Overall I was happy with my meal and experience. Not to mention the prices were really good.

Yelp
Best place for breakfast near the lake! Food is consistently good and very reasonably priced. Jan is an awesome waitress! Egg McMary, Mary's Mess and omelettes are delicious. Great music and very clean. Highly recommend!

Yelp
this place is set up like an old school diner and I absolutely love it. The food was great. The atmosphere was outstanding and the service was like a small town. So welcoming.

Melinda M.

Yelp
Food was not bad. Service from waitress was depressing. no smile, no pep , acted like it was painful to be at work. Attitude adjustment please. not likely to return. Did not offer to refill coffee , take our plates or offer desert. Some man came by and took our plates and i said we would like pie. She was more interested in rolling silverware. Prices are high enough, service should be exceptional , maybe someone will read this and coach her that her job is too make folks want to come back.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch. Hubs got a cheese omelette with toast & hashbrowns. He said the omelette was very good; buttery & 'fluffy'. I had the Reuben sandwich and sweet potato fries. Both were excellent. The sandwich is large & I ate half, packed the other half. The fries were fresh & had cinnamon butter to dip them in. Our server was excellent and the decor is very cute. It truly felt like we were having lunch in the local diner in the 50's. The jukebox was playing and the specials looked tempting. We may be back for supper soon!
google avatar

Deb P.

Yelp
Very surprising assortment of dishes besides traditional diner fare. Tried the daily special- a house favorite. Chicken paprikash on spaetzle. Seriously. Loaded with sauce that could have been spicier, while chicken was a bit dry. Great atmosphere of retro diner-mobilia.

Bobbi M.

Yelp
They have raised their prices and some items depends if it's pick up or delivery and the extra charges are higher than other places. And the food isn't near as good as it used to be.
google avatar

Greg G.

Yelp
7 yrs from my first post, not my last experience...felt an update was needed to reinforce how great they are here! Great food, awesome service with a nostalgic atmosphere. Thanks for a great diner, dinning experience with supper staff!
google avatar

Daniel M.

Yelp
A reasonably good diner experience. It seems odd they don't have real butter as an option for things like pancakes. Just margarine. I drew a mediocre waitress who didn't come around often. It's not like they were busy, she just didn't come around often enough. I sat there waiting for coffee every time I finished a cup.
google avatar

Brett S.

Yelp
Good food, fair prices and timely service. I have not had a bad meal there yet, whether it be lunch or breakfast.
google avatar

Dave N.

Yelp
Classic dinner with all the basics. I enjoyed a 3-cheese grilled cheese on Texas toast, while my wife enjoyed a chicken, bacon, ranch wrap. Friendly service and 50's decor. Been here several times and always good.
google avatar

Lexy M.

Yelp
This place was absolutely amazing in every way I have 10 members of my family that I'm traveling with from New York, every meal was amazing! I highly recommend everything on the menu especially milkshakes which they also do in malt. The staff were fast and friendly. The place was spotlessly clean.

Alan R.

Yelp
was there 8/17/25 as we were in the area camping. crappy breakfast ,I left most of it. scrambled eggs were under cooked and greasy, hash browns were greasy and mush , steak had no flavor and looked boiled bacon was deep fried ball of bacon burnt to a crisp it was very hard to cut the pancakes. overall it was crap.
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
The ambiance is cute, the food is good and the waitresses are always friendly. Great place to stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Yelp
The Good- To start, love the eclectic interior of this place! There is so much to look at and it is clearly loved by the locals as there were quite a few groups where you could tell this was their go-to Saturday morning spot (always a good sign). The sausage breakfast burrito was filling and well-balanced in flavor, crisped to golden perfection. You don't even need the sour cream/salsa it is that good. The grape milkshake was also surprisingly delicious. We were wondering if it would taste like medicine, but it did not. Perfect level of grape flavor and the color and the sprinkles made it so fun to eat (and look at). Also they have Dr. Pepper! The eh- Honestly, the mac-n-cheese bites were nothing to write home about. They were Kraft mac-n-cheese, which is something I hadn't seen before, but if you like Kraft this place is for you. Lastly, the three cheese melt did not have the ooey gooey goodness I would expect out of a diner grilled cheese. I could make out each individual slice of cheese because it was more steamed than melted. Overall- it's a fairly decent place. I would definitely recommend breakfast, but lunch is nothing special.

Yelp
In Geneva from out of town on a fishing trip with 3 other friends and found this place on Yelp. 4.5 stars solid and I couldn't agree more. Seated quickly and the place and restroom was clean. Love the golden oldies music and decor. Our waitress, Sarah, was phenomenal. She was pleasant, smiles from ear to ear and loved joking with us. The other waitresses were just as pleasant to all of the customers around us as well. The menu has tons of options. 2 of us got the "all you can eat fish". 1 got the steak hoagie and I got the breakfast option. We were not disappointed. Good place for families too. Enjoy!!!

Yelp
Good comfort food at affordable prices and a great diner look inside and out! Try it you'll love it

Yelp
It was a cute little diner... it is a 5 star for what it "is" amongst itself. All the food was hot. We sat at the counter every time we were in (for a sports tournament). They were super fast and everything came out as expected. The chicken tenders were good too.
google avatar

J L.

Yelp
Classic diner with huge menu. We stopped in on a summer afternoon for lunch. Service was prompt and efficient with constant checks in our water and food delivery. The decor is 50s vibe and very quaint. Now down to the lake perch sandwich. Hot, tasty, and crispy. The onion rings as a side are a better option than the fries. Our server was a little reluctant to recommend any food items, but we went with the starred options and they were all done well. If you happen to be out this way... this is a home run!

Yelp
If I was this restaurant's owner, I would cancel out delivery service with Grub Hub all together. Dinner of chicken and biscuits along with soup and mashed potatoes all was cold. No way to warm up at the hotel we were at. I am sure if the meal had been hot, I could possibly say decent enough, but with gravy etc cold it was not very edible. The desserts were spot on but they did not need anything done to them. . I do plan to write grub hub on this miserable and expensive service. Never again.

Elaine J.

Yelp
I love this place, the best roast beef sandwich in the world. The employees are the best also.... very accommodating , friendly, could be my friend for life. The restaurant is not. your 5 star, but adorable, good old 1950's style , which I Love. I wish that all the restaurants would learn from them what great customer service is and how to make great food... Thank you all I will be back and share with my friends what a wonderful place you have. Elaine

Yelp
The food was amazing, it was warm and the cheese on my potatoes was melted just right. Sarah wad my waiter and she was one of the nicest people I've ever met. I went with 4 other people and the food came out in 5 minutes. And after we ate we all got some gummy bears. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Joy D.

Yelp
Owners Ron and Gabi were very hospitable! Our waitress Sarah also provided excellent service. Lake perch was delicious! Enjoyed the pptato soup and sweet potato fries complimted by a house made cinnamon dipping butter. Only a 5 minute hop off i90, well worth the short drive to this retro 50s diner.

Yelp
So we on our way to Madsen's in Geneva on the Lake for the Cream filled Chocolate eclairs that I haven't had for 60 years. But unfortunately the place was closed. Web site said open Fri Sat Sun. Guess I should have called. Come to the rescue was Mary's Diner in Geneva. We had just heard about the place from a friend so we decided to make the trip worthwhile. Mary's did not disappoint! Place was a really cool nostalgic 50s style diner with the front of a 50's style car (sorry can't remember what kind) as part of the counter. With records, posters and pictures of that era along with the music playing from the jukebox , it definitely transports you back in time. The first thing that caught my eye on the menu was "Mary's Big Egg Bowl" , done! I'm having a hard time trying to describe it but picture a open omelette with tons of gooey goodness and vegetables inside topped with cheese and sausage, served with a side of toast. Are you kidding me? Both my wife and I ordered it and decided it was one of the best breakfast we've had. Place was clean and the service excellent. So if you find yourself in Geneva , which is cool little town in itself, and your hungry, Mary's for sure! You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Prices are somewhat high for breakfast food. Drinks are not included with the kids meal so each kids meal comes to around 10 dollars. Service wasn't extremely friendly. Food was average. Maybe it was an off day for the restaurant. I'd go again but won't go out of my way to return.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
This is a great 50's diner! The menu is extensive with anytime breakfast, lunch and dinner plus desserts, milkshakes and floats. Everything we had was good.; open faced turkey, pot roast, steak, etc. our daughter loves her chocolate shake. Our serve, Tayler was super sweet, very personable and really enthusiastic.

Buckeye J.

Yelp
Fun for a family or couple. Consistent yummy We have not been disappointed over the years of coming here and we've had good breakfast and good afternoon meals

Stephanie B.

Yelp
We are always looking for places to eat that are not chains. This popped up in my search for a breakfast place before starting a day of errands. Loved the look and decor. We sat in a booth in the middle of the diner. It was the perfect spot to enjoy the decor. Our waitress was pleasant. Our food came out fast and was good. I'm sure we will be back.

Doreen H.

Yelp
We always had good food and service there. No complaints at all. I live an hour away but when we go that way we always eat there.

Yelp
On the road at a nearby Harvest Host winery. Broke camp and ate here. Retro decor and decent food with fresh veggies in omelet. Good service. Big parking area ok for RVs.

Yelp
The service, food and cleanliness of the Diner was Perfect! We were there for a College Swim Meet and we're surprised by the overall service and food quality. All you can eat Fried Fish is the way to go!!!

Yelp
Did a Sunday brunch and traveled to a previous spot that was closed, sad! So we traveled a little further and decided on on Mary's. GLAD WE DID!! First the setting was delightful!! Felt like the diners of the 50's. Clean and very inviting. Got settled and Emily C. was our server. Let me state she was one of the best ever!!!! She alone gets 5's!!! On top of our orders, there with coffee refills and asking if we needed anything. And without being intrusive of our conversations!! Perfect. The food, as my grandkids would say...OMG!!! Served hot, tasty and made from scratch...to perfection. Have to say one of our better breakfast spots. In closing, the whole staff was fantastic and sorry I did not get their names to give them recognition as well!! Yelpers...get out to Geneva for a worthwhile breakfast!!

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere of this nostalgic dinner. The service was pleasant & quick the food was good. Will come back

Yelp
Today I find myself in Geneva Ohio... I happened on Mary's Diner. It odd nothing to write home about as far as the outward appearance. But homey inside. I was served a drink immediately, then ordered a Reuben. The sandwich came fast, and it was great. Ill be back next time I am in town.
google avatar

Jennifer W.

Yelp
My family was starving and driving by we decided to stop at Mary's Diner. It was a good stop! We have 3 kids and it's always great when there are options for them. My oldest ordered pancakes which were yummy. My middle and youngest had chicken and fries. They all had vanilla milkshakes which weee very good. I had the chicken parm sub and fries. It was good and the fries were perfect. My hubby a BLT. Service was great and the ambiance casual. Perfect for a family. Definitely recommend for a good bite to eat.

David N.

Yelp
If you want that novelty 50s diner feel then you will like this place. Food was ok, but their salad left a lot to be desired. I hope you like iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and raw white onion because that's all you're gonna get.
google avatar

Michele L.

Yelp
We love Mary's diner! One of the best places around for friendly service & good home style food at any location.

Jim W.

Yelp
Went because of all the four star ratings. This place delivers on many fronts, but sadly falls short on the thing that really matters. The atmosphere of the the 50's/60's diner is there. The music fits the bill, the waitresses are friendly and efficient, and the menu covers all the bases and more for qualifying as a diner. And for a Monday night a week after a Labor Day, business was brisk-- maybe because so many other places were closed for the season, or just closed Mondays. But the food was something else again. Had a pierogi breakfast bowl, a mix of the potato dumplings topped with fried egg, sausage chunks, bacon bits and white sauce fro a biscuits and gravy recipe. But the combination of ingredients from three great breakfasts combined for a taste that didn't work, and left me bloated. But my wife's meat loaf was a big disappointment. It's as if they ran out of ground beef and just overcooked two pieces of Salisbury steak. Thin, dry and nothing resembling a traditional meat loaf. Dessert was a mixed bag. The Italian cream cake was fine, but the banana cream pie was a mistake. Instead of ripe banana slices in a custard filling, they puréed the two in a blender. The light brown result was certainly not appetizing, and the taste was off. Good atmosphere, great service, but it is all about the food. Pass.

Sylvia A.

Yelp
I ordered a perch sandwich and I felt it was spoiled. Cook came out and offered me something else and charged me for that. I didn't think that was right. Never argue with a customer.
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
Went here to eat today on our way to Pennsylvania. It's a really cute diner. I had the brownie fudge dessert & my boyfriend had the breakfast burger. It was all really good & they give you a good sized portion. The server was really nice & so was the owner. I think that's what he was. Will definitely visit here again if we're in the area.

Scott C.

Yelp
Very Good Food at a Very reasonable Price!!!! Very Friendly staff and Great Service. Best part is it's Close to my Location .
