I think I’ve only written 3-4 reviews in my life. I’m visiting from out of town and went to dinner by myself. The restaurant was really cool, it was dimly lit, somewhat loud and had good energy.
After being seated, I sat and waited. Once 20 minutes went by and no one had come to my table, not even to deliver water or say that “we’ll be with you in a minute”, I finally stopped a worker to say I still hadn’t been helped. He was nice and somewhat apologetic, and said he’ll just take my entire order now. I felt pretty rushed. After coming back with my drink, the employee pointed to the manager and said “That’s our manager I’ll tell him what’s going on and he’ll make this right”.
The food came somewhat quickly and although it was good, I wasn’t able to really enjoy it.
After finishing dinner, I sat for another 20 minutes. No one came by to ask how the food was, ask if I wanted more water, or acknowledge anything about the wait. I finally stood up and walked to the bartender and asked for my check. He brought it over, I paid full price, and left.
I enjoyed the food, but the service made it a rough experience. I totally get being understaffed and/or more crowded than usual, but eating alone in public is already a strange experience, so it’s pretty tough when you sit and get ignored as well.
