Echo Park’s Newest Opening Is an Izakaya Straight From Osaka | Eater LA

"I learned that Masa Ramen, a family-owned restaurant in the Santa Clarita Valley, was burglarized in the past week: burglars shattered glass and stole cash registers and envelopes of cash, and business owners and employees discovered the damage when they arrived for work on the morning of Wednesday, May 10; it's not yet clear whether this incident is connected to several other recent burglaries along Newhall Ranch Road in Valencia." - Virali Dave

The food was decent. It wasn't the best it wasn't the worst. But the attitude definitely left something to be desired. I was trying to get my order straight and I was definitely getting sarcasm and condescension in return.

I thought the shoyu ramen was good for portion size and the chicken katsu was somewhat authentic. Nothing seemed of about the restaurant. I get that some reviews mention their demeanor, however in their defense, I will say that they aren’t fully fluent in English(in the sense that their accent isn’t American) so it may seem like that. But anyway you gotta love a mom and pop restaurant.

Love the cold noodles during the summer and early fall. Delicious 😋. Great family owned restaurant. The food is great in person and for take out. The ramen is equally delicious. Everyone should try this place.

I recently had lunch at Masa Ramen and enjoyed it! The easiest way to order is over the phone or in person (I haven't found their website nor did see them on Doordash/Grubhub). It took them only about 5 minutes to make my order and it was very well-packed. I tried both the Shoyu and Mabo ramen, and both were delicious. The Shoyu broth was rich and flavorful, and the Mabo had a nice kick of spice. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. I also loved the fun One Piece decorations on the walls! It was a great touch for any anime fan.

I like this place. This is the most delicious Japanese ramen restaurant in this town. But when I visited this time, the soup became lighter and the toppings decreased significantly. And the red pickles in Japan cost 50 cents. But it was so good.

For $15 there was barely any vegetables and sub par flavor. Barely any green onions and corn. The chicken was bland. This was my second time giving it another try. Staff was short and there was no one there to be short and rushed.

I was craving some good authentic food where I did not have to drive out of SCV and wanted to support a mom and pop store. I ordered their beef bowl and cold tofu appetizer and I loved it. The beef gyudon tasted like what I had in Japan. Restaurant is quite small with no restrooms, but food is drlicious. Please support them as they are going through rough times. They had to stop DoorDash because it was taking 40% of the cost and then they had a break in 😡.

As a big ramen enthusiast, I was disappointed with this experience. I tried the miso ramen, but it missed the mark. Instead of the traditional chili oil, they offered sriracha sauce on the side, which didn’t quite fit. The meat was chewy and lacked freshness, and the soup had an odd froth on top that left me questioning its quality.
