Been here 2x so far, the food is amazing best sushi in Waco Texas so far that I have found…I hope one day they offer all you can eat. I recommend trying the Hawaiian roll it is amazing. Will be back soon and I recommended this place to all my friends and family.

Hands down the best sushi spot in Waco. Very quiet atmosphere with excellent service. Gabe, our waiter, was happy to provide a few recommendations. The food was FABULOUS and just the right proportion sizes. We had the edamame and vegetable tempura for apps. Then per the recommendation from Gabe, we had the Manhattan Roll and the Fantastic Roll. The plates were so beautiful! Chef’s kiss!

I really enjoyed my first visit. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was on point and came quickly. The food tasted wonderful and had great eye appeal. Definitely will visit again soon.

Went here with my friends for dinner for my birthday and I’m so glad we chose this place!!! The food was amazing!! I got the midland roll and then all of us had sake bombs which was super fun. They also sang a song for my birthday and gave me a fried banana!! Amazing, amazing service!! Gabe and Tom helped us and they were super kind. I would definitely come back again, 10/10 recommend!!!

I always get the sushi and sashimi for 2. I have eaten A LOT of sashimi and nigiri from all over. I love that I can order salmon roe sashimi and get two spoonfuls of eggs! The sashimi has always been very fresh tasting and the surprise chef rolls have been huge, full of flavor and fun! I think the price is reasonable for the quality of sushi and chefs. Highly recommend!

We had such a great experience at Masa Sushi! Our server, Dane, was amazing! Super attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The sushi was delicious (highly recommend the spicy tuna, scorpion, and Godzilla rolls!) and the chicken katsu with fried rice hit the spot too. The restaurant was very clean and the whole staff was welcoming and kind. We’ll definitely be back!

We’ve visited Waco a few times this summer, visiting from South Texas, and were looking for a restaurant that served top quality sushi. MASA did not disappoint, exceeded my expectations and beyond! The waitress was sweet and the food was DELICIOUS! My daughter and I ordered the following items: Spicy Tuna roll, Fantastic roll, spicy crab meat salad, seaweed salad, spicy edamame, and chicken/ veggie tempura. I can’t wait to visit Waco again to enjoy their menu all over again!

We have visited a few times and have had a great experience. We typically don't order anything from the kitchen but have been with others who have. The soba noodles with chicken (my mom had shrimp) were a hit! This is not a hibachi style restaurant but they do offer it on their menu. A few of our favorite rolls are the Cowboy roll, Philly Roll (classic), scorpion roll but hands down love the sashimi. We had the love boat (on a visit) and the presentation was stunning. They are not fast, so make sure you visit with the intention to enjoy a slow served meal. They are on the slower paced side so don't expect it to arrive immediately. They take their time, so enjoy the wait with sake and conversation.

Stopped in for a late lunch, was very impressed with the whole experience. Staff was friendly and welcoming, whole place was well set up and clean. Seated promptly, and menus/drink order were taken quickly. Opted for one of the lunch bento selections, got the sushi bento (5 nigiri, chef's choice). This lunch bento option came with miso soup, green salad, couple of fried pork gyoza dumplings, and four slices of Cali roll. Got fried rice (touch extra, comes with steamed rice). Brother got the pork katsu, looked good as well. Everything was tasty, ample portion for a lunch, and was presented well. Saw a few other items going out to other tables, looks like they put some work into presentation. Menu is large and varied, looks like you could spend quite a bit of time working through it.

First of all, the inside of the restaurant has beautiful modern designs. However, I didn't have a chance to ask about all the teddy bears on the walls. Secondly, the waitress we had (Meagan) was very patient with us and able to answer all our questions regarding the menu without any problems. However, it is kind of annoying that she said the "spicy shrimp" roll was just shrimp on the outside and spicy mayo on the outside. When I asked for spicy mayo (since it didn't come with it) I was charged an extra $1.00. Not to mention the other several dollars I was charged for asking for stuff such as a tempura flakes and jalapeño. Would be nice to have some transparency. Third, the sushi was overall good. We did the lunch combos but also tried to Red Dragon Roll. Next time we will definitely try out other rolls. We were not huge fans of the Red Dragon Roll mainly because of the "lobster salad" inside provided an overall mushy texture.

Service was nice. Food was Ok. Location was clean. question if the tempura was with fresh vegetables since I had asparagus in mine. (In winter?) Salad dressing was bland. I would like to see pictures of the food in menus and bento box options.

The place was packed so that got me super excited. Getting a menu and drinks didn't take long. The drinks are overpriced. Ordered gyoza, an Angry Dragon Roll and 2 orders of Katsu. It took 30 minutes just for the 6 pcs of gyoza to come out - way too long of a wait. We received really watered down miso and barely dressed salad while we waited. We ordered the roll at the same time as the katsu but only our katsus came out. By this point it was almost an hour of waiting. The server forgot about the sushi and we had to wait a bit longer for it because he forgot. A really long wait for overpriced, underwhelming food & experience. I want to say it's because they're freshly opened and they have to work some things out but I don't want to wait around to find out.

Absolutely the best sushi in Waco. I cannot tell you how wonderful the sushi is...super fresh and they custom make the rolls and make sashimi just like we want it. You will not be disappointed. Great fresh fish. You will thank me later! Management is fantastic ...very polite and sociable. Wonderful menu selections!

Had a great lunch today! It was so tasty. It was our first time there. We sampled the different fruit teas, sushi, spring rolls and hibachi lunch specials. Our server was very tentative too. I highly recommend checking them out.

My daughter and I went here for lunch. First of all all they did an amazing job with the aesthetic to the restaurant. It's beautiful and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the bento box with shrimp tempura. It was delicious and came with some sushi and Gyoza that was delicious. I would say that the California roll was my favorite thing on my plate even though I liked everything. my daughter ordered a milk tea, Boba and loved it. She also had the lunch special with two sushi rolls, which was more than she could eat. She had the tuna and avocado roll and the salmon and avocado roll. The salmon avocado was her favorite. We can't wait to come back and try some more things. I highly recommend.

Lovely meal here last week. The nigiri was so soft and buttery with no fat or ligament. Thankful to have a new sushi place near Waco! The rolls were scrumptious and they had special deals. Didnt order the ika Tempura as it was breaded in panko which is not traditional Tempura. That was my only disappointment. The katsu was also great! Just beware the doiley put on the plate will get soft and tear when cutting the meat. Otherwise it was lovely! We'll be back!

Sushi was awesome! prices are cheaper than other places in Waco with better quality. I highly recommend this place. There habachi is cooked in the back not table side.

Same selection is great and the hibachi is good, sushi quality is ok and could be better. Service is amazing! Love the set up and that we have a place in Hewitt!

The sushi is ok but the wait staff is ridiculous. It's a bunch of teenage kids being rude. Whoever owns this place needs to seriously get the staff in order. While we were there - wait staff eating sushi and hanging out, one waitress talking to friends and not doing her job - people just watching tv like they are at home. We also always make a reservation - and the front staff always look completely lost and never know anything about a reservation.

Had to wait an hour for a Yaki soba. On a Thursday. First and last time I go. Would not recommend.

Finally!! A great sushi place in Waco/Woodway. We have been waiting since the sign went up over a year ago but they are finally open. Went there tonight for sushi and they did not disappoint! I have a usual order that I make a sushi restaurants to check how good they are and these guys nailed it. The service was great and the sushi was fresh and correctly made. Great atmosphere and both a sushi bar and a regular bar. Prices are ok and in line with other places. Portions were great so no complaints about value. We sat at the sushi bar and watches the chefs. They are 100% authentic Japanese sushi place. Yes they have all the fancy rolls but my go to is what I have been eating for 30 years. Sushi, sashimi, and normal Japanese style rolls. Everything was fresh and a good amount of fish. No H-E-B paper thing fish on rice. One person near us had the vegetable tempura and it was a huge portion. I looked great. We had the warm saki and the portion was almost more than I could drink....and I can drink. The saki was $9 which was great and it was good stuff. Greta's place for dates or just going sushi crazy. Not sure about the Christmas music in June but it did make me laugh. The only other good sushi place is in Union Hall but this one is way closer and I love a traditional sushi place.

Had such a great date night dinner at Masa. We ordered the pork dumplings and 3 sushi rolls- would recommend all of the stuff we tried. My favorites were the San Angelo Roll and the Red Dragon Roll. Staff were friendly. Very clean environment.

The food is to die for and has the cleanest and best service possible and all the employees are so nice and kind. Kiki is amazing!!

I went there yesterday for lunch. The place was quiet and had a casual atmosphere. The staff were very nice and friendly. Service was a little slow but still ok. I got the shrimp tempura bento. The shrimp was good and the mix veggies were ok. The gyoza was very crispy and had some good flavor. The cali roll was ok. The miso soup needed a little bit more miso. The salad was the worst out of all the things. It was brown when I opened the container. They had just opened so I will give them another try.

Well it's been a long wait from when their sign went up until their opening this week, but is was worth the wait. The food we had was fresh and tasty the ambiance was nice and the service was fair (the staff tried to be attentive without hovering over you, but maybe they could check with you a little more often. Will we be back? You bet we will, may even try their take out.

We set at the bar and Dane was our server. She was so great! The drinks were amazing and the conversations were too. The sushi was probably the best in the Waco area. We will definitely be going back, any time we want sushi. The raspberry martini was my favorite drink.

Great food and a beautiful interior! This will definitely become a new regular spot for me.

We had a great experience on our first visit to Masa Sushi tonight. Sushi was fresh and very well-prepared, and presentation was beautiful. Our server, Naomi, was attentive and friendly. Looking forward to coming back!

I had mixed experiences at this restaurant. The fried rice and coconut shrimp were excellent, and I highly recommend them. However, I was disappointed with the sushi; as a sushi fan, I wouldn't return just for that. Because of this, I'm giving a 3-star rating. The service was new since they just opened today, so I expected a few bumps. I believe they have potential for excellent service and great servers. I liked the atmosphere; it's an interesting place to eat and would make a good date spot.

This place was great but they did get our order wrong. Considering they have only been open for 4 days and the staff is really young. I will give it another try.

Average to below average at best. Still hoping for decent Japanese in Waco. We tried several items to get an overall feeling of the restaurant. We got the gyozas, king crab roll, masa roll, pirate roll, nigiri (toro and eel), and hibachi filet with fried rice. The gyozas had a decent flavor but were slightly cold. The rolls were just average. The toro, which should be the star of the show, SUCKED. It was inedible and we refused to pay for it. Extremely tough and still 10% frozen? Just very weird. Eel was cold. The hibachi filet had zero browning on the meat. Tasted steamed almost. Salad and soup tasted off. Our server was sweet but there was a slight language barrier. I'm very surprised at the great reviews. Can't envision going back.

All the food and staff were amazing--it was a hit with the kiddos and the staff were so kind to them! We have been waiting for this place to open up for a while now, and it was definitely worth the wait! The Godzilla roll and the spicy ramen were top faves! So fresh and lots of flavor. The Naruto appetizer was amazing as well! We're going again this week for my birthday! Great sushi place! Highly recommend!
