Mashti Malone’s is an absolute gem. The ice cream flavors are incredibly unique and rich, especially the Persian-inspired ones, you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The rosewater, saffron, and pistachio flavors are standout and unlike anything you’ll find at a typical ice cream shop. Portions are generous, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the vibe is always great. If you’re looking for something different (and delicious), this place is a must-visit. 🍨

My boyfriend and I always make sure to stop by Mashti after dinner. The flavors are delicious and so many options to choose from. The “basic” flavors are not as traditional and keeps us wanting to come back for more! Also a plus that the cashiers are friendly and helpful with providing samples.

Amazing spot with great flavor profiles as well as vessels to eat your ice cream. The mashti is a great take on an ice cream sandwich. We got the Persian cucumber on the Malone and it was a nice combo of refreshing cucumber on a sweet pastry. The baklava is a great indulgent option as well.

I’m so grateful for this place because it reminds me of Home. I love the traditional saffron rose water pistachio and it is just like what you would get in Iran! Service is great too! Side note - awesome that they let you try two flavors in a small size.

This ice cream spot offers a great variety of flavors with a nice texture! Some of the flavors are quite unique and not commonly found elsewhere. Personally, I really enjoyed the jujube (date) flavor—it was surprisingly good. The shop closes at 11 PM, but keep in mind that they start closing up around 10:50 PM, so if you’re eating inside, you’ll need to head out around then.

Great shop, sweets share a lot of similarities with Indian desserts! Have to try the zoolbia still but will update once I do. Got the Butter pecan and it was great! Update: tried the zoolbia, it’s amazing! Almost if not identical to Indian Jaleebi. But I do believe the Persians brought a lot of sweets to India, which makes Zoolbia the original! Would definitely come back to support.

What a great place for not just ice cream but a pick me up! I came here after I went on a failed date HAHA. I walked in around 10 pm and there was no line, and I was welcomed to try all the Persian ice cream flavors they had to offer! I was given generous samples, each that was enough to really get a taste of each flavor. I ordered the saffron pistachio since I'm a huge sucker for pistachios. It's not too sweet which I like, and I can definitely taste the saffron in the ice cream, which really complements well with the chunks of nuts! Overall this is definitely one of the best Persian ice cream spots I've been to! Can't wait to come back for the saffron pistachio!

So happy to find Persian ice cream where you wouldn't expect it! Great little spot with a couple of small tables inside and a small cute outdoor area to enjoy your ice cream. The ice cream with the little chunks of cream are my favorite. The staff is super nice and very helpful. Parking is not fun here. If you're coming, make it lunch/dinner + dessert, then you can walk it off to get to your car.

Excellent ice cream utilizing creative flavors well incorporated into a silky blend of sweet heaven. We are not short of good ice cream shops nearby. Mashti shines well on its own and is a far better choice compared to some more corporate competitors. Lovers for Saffron Rosewater and Pistachio will rejoice over the execution. The availability of Earl Grey is a game changer for choice. The Mint Chip is fresh and you can taste the real ingredient of the actual Mint.

I tried Mashti Malone's several years ago while visiting the Westside, so I was looking forward to trying their newest location. It's in a part of Silver Lake near several restaurants, so it is well suited for a post-meal dessert. I visited during the evening, and the ordering process was straightforward. The employee allowed me to taste various samples, and I was impressed by the wide selection that they have. While I enjoyed the flavors I sampled, I did notice some iciness in the ice cream's texture once I had a full portion. However, I would be open to trying this spot again.

Some of the best Persian ice cream I've ever had! This spot is located in the same area where Pine & Crane is. There are multiple neighborhoods nearby where street parking can be found. Once you walk in to the shop, you'll be greeted by a variety of Persian inspired ice cream flavors. Everything was so intriguing, I had to try like 8 samples before I could make a choice. I ended up getting a double scoop with the Persian cucumber and the mango. The flavors blended together so well and this was such a refreshing treat after dinner. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. This is an awesome shop to come try some uniquely crafted flavors that are not commonly found in other ice cream spots.

Yummy little ice cream shop in Silver Lake. Came in with a friend for an ice cream craving. They have a lot of interesting flavors like rose water and saffron and the usual classics. I tried the Turkish coffee and Earl Grey. So good! So creamy, melts kinda fast though so eat it right away. Inside was simple, just one little table, but there's more seating outside. Service was good. Friendly staff. Would definitely come back again. There's street meter parking but you might have to walk a block a two.

Ice cream lovers, if you haven't tried the ice cream here, fix that ASAP! Mashti Malone's is a humble little shop tucked into some cute avenues but it has all the cred it needs for bragging rights. No egg, no artificial colors or flavors, no preservatives, and they have at least a dozen of their flavors made vegan! So everyone can come in and get a scoop or two of something they'll enjoy. It was surprising, given that we were the only people inside other than the employee and it was such a hot day, I figured... why aren't more people here? But selfishly, after trying the ice cream, I was glad to have the space and freedom to try the flavors without pressure. They pride themselves on unique flavors, and boy, unique is right! Falooda, Earl Grey, rose water, cherry falooda, saffron rose water pistachio... as well as some good classics like cookies 'n' cream, mint chocolate, etc. Mashti Malone's also allows you to try the flavors upon request. The rose water is slightly gritty texture-wise but extremely refreshing. French Lavender tastes exactly as it sounds. The cookies 'n' cream is also just pure unfiltered deliciousness. The size of the scoops may seem smaller than you're accustomed to for ice cream, but it's worth the price for ice cream that's different and made without all the added BS. The gal behind the counter was welcoming, friendly, offered us plenty of samples and helped us feel right at home in such a cute tiny place. They also offer a few pastries for extremely affordable prices. My verdict? High tail it to Mashti Malone's and get yourself some extremely tasty ice cream and treats!

They had many unique flavors, but also familiar ones. You can get different styles of ice cream, including in sandwich, form or sort of like a sundae form. You can also buy pints or quarts of ice cream to take home. We got a plain two scoop with orange blossom and rosewater. I was sort of expecting chewy ice cream like from other places, but this was still very good. The ice cream texture is sort of like a gelato. both flavors were very similar because they had a floral flavor to them. I enjoyed the rosewater flavor better, however, my friend enjoyed the Orange Blossom more. Both did have pieces of probably chopped pistachios, which added a nice texture to the ice cream. I would definitely come back if I was in the area because they have unique flavors that I can't get anywhere else! Service was alright. It would have been nice if they greeted us or asked us if we had any questions. I did notice they asked that of the customers before us, and offered them samples, but didn't ask us either. Parking isn't the greatest here. Be prepared to circle around a few times or park further away.

Historically, I don't like rose water or pistachio - but the Saffron Rosewater Pistachio changed me. I was a bit worried the flavors would be too reminiscent of soap, but everything was absolutely delicious to the point I tried maybe 10 flavors before choosing. The Baklava sundae is highly recommended, but the wafer sandwich is definitely the way to go as it's the same price as a single scoop and much easier/more fun to eat. Make sure you try all the flavors! The Persian Cucumber was surprising, but was similar to Japanese Honeydew flavor. The Cherry Farlodeh is unique and tart, the Earl Grey heavenly, and the mint incredibly concentrated. Service is always swift and the place is spotless. Parking can be difficult, so plan on walking a bit more.

We had the rose water faludah and the fig ice cream here. While both were good and well made, I didn't love the consistency on the fig as it became goopy and melted quickly. Perhaps will have to be back to try their signature desserts and give them another try.

This place has the classic flavors that I loved growing up and am so excited to have a location near us in silverlake! You can't beat the classic saffron rose water flavor, and the rose water variations. They have vegan options too! They have options with no nuts too. Something for everyone!!! They make ice cream sandwiches too that are so delicious. You can also grab and go! The eh have a fridge of flavors.

Good ice cream texture and unique flavors. I'm usually pretty sensitive to heavy cream/diary in ice cream formulas, so I'm glad that their formula was not too rich. I was pleasantly surprised by the Persian cucumber flavor - it was just sweet enough. The portion sizes are relatively big, my husband and I couldn't finish our 2-scoop cup, so I think next time we'd do 1 scoop. They only have 2 indoor tables made for ~4 people each, so not the best for big groups to sit and chat, but it worked out well for our small group of 4.

Had their dulce de leche mashti, where it's one scoop between wafers The wafers don't taste very good but the ice cream was very yummy, would rec just the ice cream or with the cone!

Frankly not my cup of ice cream. I tried a few flavors and they were all okay, so I settled on the Madagascar vanilla. While it was good, I quickly got tired of the taste. The space was nice and the service was friendly. Just not the ice cream for me.

Wow it was so fun experiencing this place in LA! I really enjoyed the ice-cream and though the flavors were really rich and flavorful. The staff was really friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance was really social at the end of the Labor Day weekend. Very nice place, we'll definitely return :))

These flavors are so good when made to your palate choice. Friendly ice cream baristas, and more than happy to give you samples galore when you want to keep asking to try for more. My fave is the saffron pistachio. The cucumber and earl grey flavors were also very refreshing to my palate. They have pints and quartz for to go when you want to save some for home supply too! Not much seating inside but plenty of flavors to go around. Would definitely come back!

Parking is slim and there's a burger place next door that creates less parking on the streets. The staff was friendly and customer service is 5 stars. The ice cream was creamy but I didn't like the orange blossom or lavender pistachios it was not my favorite I like the coffee and chocolate with brownie. I bought a pint to go home and got a single scoop to eat there. It's a good try but I wouldn't drive here just for ice cream. But you may like it more than me so go try it.

Super tasty ice cream with many Persian inspired flavors. We sampled several flavors and decided on a double scoop of cherry faloodeh with saffron and it was really great. The service was very friendly and the apparently yesterday was just their second day in business.

Amazing flavors and the texture of the ice cream is so creamy. It was difficult picking just one flavor, but I went with the orange blossom. I asked for extra pistachios and they did not disappoint.

The best ice cream you will ever have. It's rich and creamy, very similar to a Gelato. The flavors are unique but they have great basics too like chocolate, cookies and cream, and matcha. The quality is so incredible, would highly recommend stopping by

I thought the ice cream here was really good. I got the coconut-pineapple and mango. The coconut-pineapple was excellent, it had real shaved coconut in it. The mango tasted like it was an actual mango pureed, that was really good as well.

They have both conventional and Middle Eastern flavors. So hard to choose just 1 or 2, but at least sampling the saffron rosewater is A MUST.

Staff is so nice here and the ice cream is even better! I loved the Alphonso mango since it tasted exactly like from the Indian and Persian stores. The creamy rosewater, saffron, and pistachio almond are also must try!

The best ice cream with the most amazing flavors. Their orange blossom is my favorite but you can't go wrong with any of their other flavors. I still haven't tried their ice cream sandwich yet, but it gives me something to look forward to. Definitely recommend everyone to try Mashti Malone's!

Ice cream was good, service was also good, the only thing I would suggest is adding more seating inside especially when there are a lot families coming in at once with seating at a minimum. There were chairs and tables stacked up on the corner while people were standing and eating with no where to sit,

My first experience was at the West LA location. I remember how creamy and smooth the ice cream was and you can really taste the lavender. At most other places, you don't get a strong lavender scent, but here, it's very prominent. So if you like lavender, this place is for you. Customer service at both locations were great and accommodating. I was able to taste multiple flavors without feeling guilty. They also have some flavors already packed in a pint. Just wish there was one up in the Valley.

Unique ice cream flavors that are creamy and excellent service! I tried the saffron rose water pistachio, Turkish coffee and rose water and decided on the rose water. The texture is very different from other ice creams.

To the kind man I accidentally scared tonight - the Persian Cucumber flavor is really nice with lemon. Everyone in the shop said I shouldn't do it but it needed a bit of acid to bridge the cuke with the nutty dairy. I took it home and experimented with mixing in fresh lemon juice and blueberries. Both were great.

This place is super magical! We stopped by after dinner at Pine and crane. Wasn't sure what to expect but boy this is good. Addicting. Super unique flavors. Can't wait to come back here sometime.

We are visiting from DC and have always heard about Mashti Malone so we had to try it. We visited this location yesterday and had a great experience with Raphael and for that reason came back the second night for more of the great service and saffron and orange blossom ice cream which was fantastic. Raphael is a true asset to this company and a very professional and friendly associate. We will be back.

I couldn't eat the ice cream so I dumped it down my sink. There is no layout/guide causing customers are bunched all over and cut each other in queue. The employee rudely rushed me after 5 seconds of handing me my first sample. I had to randomly picked another flavor without trying as I was already holding up the line after a minute of being helped. There is no workflow nor communication between employees causing unnecessary confusion in proper billing and inefficiency. Parking was very difficult with no available lot and narrow streets. Based on the disappointing experience, I do not plan to return nor recommend here. This was my first and final visit.

Mashti Malone's is my favorite ice cream place in Los Angeles and I'm so glad that they opened up a shop in Silverlake. It definitely lived up to the West Hollywood location! I had the Pistachio and the Turkish Coffee, which were both incredibly rich, creamy, and flavorful. The two running the shop were incredibly kind as well. I highly recommend giving this ice cream shop a visit. :)
