Stopped by for a quick brunch. My wife and I got eggs benedict, I got the crab version and she got the classic! The service was super quick and our bartender was very friendly. I also got a spicy margarita on the rocks. It was super cold in there, but they were probably just preparing for the brunch crowd! We had a great meal

The place was empty when we first entered. I initially hesitated to order what we ordered because recent reviews were poor. But the fried chicken was really good. It's tasty dark meat. Brussel sprouts were well flavored, not too salty as others have described. The Mac and cheese side was not overcooked. Overall the dish hit the spot if you're craving southern comfort food. The blacked rock fish was light, flakey. Yum. Combination with grits and avocado salad was really creative and everything tasted good. Nice presentation as well. We sat in the dining room side. Quiet earlier in the evening. Jose was our waiter and was very attentive.

We were visiting from OKC and decided to try this place. I got a Cesar salad and hubby got the chicken noodle soup for appetizers. They were both great. For the main meal I got the walnut salmon and my husband got the jambalaya. Both delicious.

We appreciated help from a host/server when we arrived, making sure we had a table easy to get to with a stroller and not to be in anyone’s way. Our server was ok, but seemed to be struggling. There were definitely missed opportunities, for example as a family of 4 adults and 1 child, he could have suggested getting 2 appetizers. We ordered the potato skins and were a little disappointed to find out there were only 3. The food was delicious! We all ordered something different and everything was great!

Google
A pretty good sports bar. They have a good amount of TV’s to catch a game. Half off wines on Wednesday is a great deal there! The food was 7/10 and they have a decent selection of beers to choose from. Would stop by again to try something else on the menu

Google
Enjoyed this place 1st time . Sat at the bar, Food was solid, had some sliders , pickles and few beers. All was nice quality and staff made feel real welcome. Could do with giving the floor a good clean though … was like ice ring in places 😂. Second time had breakfast burito. Hard pass. Didn’t pay for it. Bland eggs. Salsa was a dribble , chorizo was ground beef. Not for me. Plus side staff dealt with it well. So far play.

Google
enjoyable lunch! very tasty burgers with nice vegetarian options. the veggie burger was really good. only a few beers on draft but still solid drink menu. sat up at the bar and had a nice time.

Google
Saturday late afternoon snack. Bartender was very nice and did a great job. For only six drafts, I was happy with the beer selection, and there's a $9 Old Fashioned for happy hour. The cheese steak egg roll was good but super greasy. The nachos were the winners with everything on point there. The bar area is a little beat up feeling, but that may very well be the vibe they're going for, and it didn't ruin my experience. Would go back.

Yelp
We went today for brunch after graduation! The food was great and so was the Jose the server!!! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
It was our first time here and everything was amazing. Our server Moises was very thorough with explaining everything on the menu and the food was so fresh! We will be back for sure!

Yelp
Went to Mason Social to meet up with an old coworker that I haven't seen in years. The ambiance was nice and the food was delicious. I had the Rock Fish with risotto and my friend had the Burger w/ fries. The Burger looked delicious and the patty was about 3" thick. Taking a star off because once we paid our bill, our waiter mentioned that there were other "reservations tonight" aka, please get up and free the space. I didn't appreciate feeling rushed especially since we were there for less than 1.5hrs. The happy hour menu looked good so I'll probably try this place again during HH and try to avoid our previous waiter.

Yelp
Came here to catch up with a friend on a Sunday night with my wife. It's situated in a relatively newly built up area in Alexandria. The inside gives you the feeling of a classic gastropub with an open seating bar area and a separate section for seated dining. The food was... fine We got an order of the fried green tomatoes to share and they tasted decent but wish they were crisped up a little bit more. You can tell from the picture that 90 more seconds would've added more texture and crisp that would've carried the dish more. For entrees my wife got the marrow burger which was ... fine as well. It was missing that buttery richness and flavor you would expect from a marrow burger. Frankly it kinda tasted just like a normal burger. Granted a decent burger. The fried chicken was also alright though I wasn't the biggest fan of the spicy aioli. Felt like it could've had a bit more of a kick. The brussel sprouts though were done well. The mac however also lacked a "gooey-ness" that you would want from a classic mac. Overall if you're grabbing some drinks and catching a game, you probably won't really mind the food, but I wouldn't say it's significantly better than the other 45 gastropubs in the metro area.

Yelp
I went to Mason Social for Happy Hour. I saw several videos on social media about this place and decided to check it out. The happy hour drink menu only had two options. I wanted something sweet and I asked about one of the drinks and the server said the one I inquired about was not really that sweet. The server did not offer a recommendation either. I ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls for an appetizer. They were okay, just lacked any sort of flavor. They were also served with a side of mayo and not ketchup. I ordered the meatloaf entree which was served with Brussel sprouts and corn. The meatloaf was flat and could have used some more seasonings. I definitely won't be back. I know other reviews said they liked the place.

Yelp
On a rainy May Saturday, my husband and I had brunch at Mason Social. We were lucky to find a free parking space nearby. Instead of getting a brunch cocktail, I decided to try one of their cocktails - Mason Kir Royale, which consisted of cava and black raspberry liqueur. It was sweet, fruity, and bubbly. My husband enjoyed the Brisket Hash with hot sauce. The Brisket Hash consisted of potatoes, brisket, onions, and peppers cooked on a skillet and topped with two sunny side up eggs. I enjoyed the Pick Two Benedict with Mixed Greens. For the protein, I selected filet (cooked to medium rare) and smoked salmon. It was served on a soft English muffin with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. I wasn't expecting this benedict to be seasoned with Old Bay and Cajun seasoning. The poached eggs weren't runny, which meant they were cooked a minute longer than they were supposed to be.

Yelp
We have not been in over five years, and then only during brunch. We arrived during early dinner/happy hour and it was busy on a Tuesday night. We had their signature fried chicken (which looked like schnitzel), steak frites, scallops risotto, wings and meatballs. We also tried their signature cocktails and we were not disappointed. We also had the caramel cheesecake. It was a good ending to our dinner.

Yelp
We decided to try this restaurant out on Mother's Day and we had a nice time! We went around noon. The restaurant was not crowded at that time but you do have the option to make a reservation online. The employees were nice and they gave out flowers to the mothers for the day, which was a really sweet gesture. Overall, the food was good! The only thing we had that we did not care for was the French toast and the bacon funnel fries. The French toast was underwhelming and the bacon fries were just a weird, meh dish. All of our other dishes were delicious. I would recommend the grits dish because the pork belly was too good. There is street parking all around the restaurant; we had no issues finding a quick parking space. The restaurant is nice and clean and there is also a bar area. Overall, worth the visit. I would return to try the dinner menu.

Scott A.

Yelp
Very good food and great service! Server recommended one of their rotating pilsners that was great! Reasonable prices and good portions. We will be back!

Neli R.

Yelp
I went during lunch, and the place was empty. But it still took an hour to get the food. The waiter was the bartender so it took him forever to come around. Not sure why everthing took so long since we where the only ones there. So of the dishes where not available. I started off with fried pickels, and they were too salty and I had to return them. I ordered 3 tacos and they were bland. Then I ordered a side of Mac & cheese and that was delicious. I tried to order desert but again most of the items where not available. Food was not good, ambiance is bad, service was also bad. I would not go back.

Trevor H.

Yelp
The chicken was delicious but the waffles could use a bit more kick to it. Lovely staff here and would want to try this place again at some point.

Destyni G.

Yelp
My server was top notch! Great customer service, he was caring, attentive, helpful and so just nice overall. He made my special request of a drink and did it was a smile on his face. The food was also pretty good, very flavorful. Luckily I made it during happy hour so we had nachos and I loved those.

Dora S.

Yelp
Came here for a company dinner and it was disappointing. Our server tried his best but they were incredibly understaffed. On top of that, i got food poisoning from my meal. I was so sick the day after i ate here.

Alex B.

Yelp
Went to Mason Social for Brunch. When you first walk in the restaurant, it feels you are in a bar. You walk towards the back and the restaurant becomes a bit sophisticated. I ordered the eggs Benedict with home fries and a side of hot sauce. Really good!! Our waiter is was so polite, professional and prompt. L I like the vibe of this place and will definitely be back when I return to Alexandria, VA.

Andrea S.

Yelp
We were visiting from OKC and found this place not too far from our hotel. We were able to walk and enjoy the great weather. The food was good, drinks were good and getting to sit outside to eat was great.

Jasmine B.

Yelp
I love Mason Social for the views lol. It's on a busy corner, so I enjoy seeing all the cars and people walking by. The happy hour menu was pretty good but the drinks were the star of the show for me. I loved the potato skins the most. I took off a star because there was so much grease on my plate from the egg rolls and I could tell that the lettuce was old. I will definitely be back for happy hour.

Brittany Anne O.

Yelp
Mason Social had a fun and inviting vibe. There is a larger bar area near the front of the restaurant and ample space for larger groups to sit and eat in the back. Some friends and I visited on a Sunday afternoon for brunch and were seated right away after mentioning our reservation. There seemed to be a wide variety of options on the menu and we decided to order the funnel bacon twists to share. I had high hopes for this app and was a bit let down by the lack of flavor. I guess I was envisioning a funnel cake that you get at a county fair -- super deep fried and uber sweet. This was a little sweet, but mostly tasted of the bacon wrapped around it. The breakfast burrito I ordered was tasty-- but again, lacked the flavor and texture I was hoping for. The green salsa served on the side was delicious though, super tasty and seemed like it was made in house. Staff was friendly, kind and quick! Would like to come back to try lunch and dinner offerings.

Cindy E.

Yelp
I had the salmon and crab Benedict. The hollandaise had a little kick but, yum. All the parts. I also had the sleepy pigs. Flaky, buttery pastry with savory sausage inside. SO good. I'd like to return for dinner. Our server went the extra mile, and was also funny. 'Twas a good brunch on Sunday.

LeVar J.

Yelp
We had a great time at Mason for our first visit. Shout out to our server Josue who gave great recos and was spot on. We are definitely coming back for Happy Hour to get more of the great appetizers and drinks.

Ben C.

Yelp
Went here with a friend. It was a very busy place on a Saturday evening. It is a very modern look to it. Nothing fancy. The noise was very loud. I was kind of yelling a few times during dinner. The service was good and welcoming. The menu had limited items so not a lot of choices which can be a good thing. I did the marrow burger medium rare. The burger was very good. The jalapeños and cheese were spot on. My only issue was the bacon was a little to chewy. The fries were decent. I will come back when I am able to but the prices are a little steep for a budget.

Alissa C.

Yelp
Overall the food was good and the service quick. They were accommodating and it was easy to make a reservation for the night.

Karen D.

Yelp
This has been our go-to spot every Thursday night for more almost three years now. We started coming regularly because the food and drinks were well-priced and consistently good (you've got to try the salmon and/or the meatballs and their spicy margarita...ask Remy to make it extra-spicy), the atmosphere wasn't pretentious, and we never felt like they were trying to rush us out of there so they could fill our seats with more customers. But we've stayed because of the people who work there. I think it's a rare thing in a big and busy city when you can find a bar/restaurant where the staff isn't constantly changing, they want to get to know you by name, and they actually care about what they're doing. Amy & Remy are the most down-to-earth, enjoyable bartending duo I've ever come across and Moses is our long-term, always-fun-to-talk-to server. Every time a family-member or friend comes to visit, it's the first place we take them. We're only in the D.C. area for another 6 months and have already talked about what a rare find this place is and how much we're going to miss it.

Tina I.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place! I've passed it so many times and never knew ‍. Parking: was easy, street parking available everywhere. Food: 10/10 We started off with three appetizers -eggs rolls, loaded potatoes, and the spinach dip ALL WERE AMAZING and presentation was good too when brung out. Entrées: Steak Frites and the Jambalaya Both were great and cooked perfectly (I wish my photos came out better but it was lit very dimly in there ) We didnt have desserts BUT we did treat ourselves to two bottles of sparkling wine which was a good selection by our server. I definitely forgot his name but he was very helpful with our food/drink selections and also looked like Jack Harlow which wasn't a bad thing either . Overall this will definitely become the new happy hour spot after work!

Yasmine A.

Yelp
Mason Social is truly one of my FAVORITE RESTAURANTS in the DMV - HANDS DOWN! Mason Social has a wonderful, sexy, ambiance. My husband and I usually go on a weekday or weekend night and the lights are dim, brick walls with up lights and both low (booth) and high chair seating options. We both absolutely LOVE the food and the drinks. The food is always hot and delicious and the portions are healthy. We have always had wonderful servers. Moses is our favorite! We also rented out the restaurant for our wedding after party and it was such an amazing experience! The staff was so attentive, helpful and professional and they allowed us to bring our own DJ. I worked with Destiny Riley on the contract and booking, and she was so pleasant and professional with great follow-through! She was a pleasure to work with. We will continue to be repeat patrons of this lovely establishment!

Jamaal M.

Yelp
Came in for a late afternoon brunch with my wife. Service was really fast and the kitchen was quick as well. Will go back!

Clarence B.

Yelp
I arrived at Mason Social to meet my friend for brunch. Although He made the reservation, I arrived early and they sat me inside at my request. The restaurant had people outside with kids and dogs, inside no dogs but we sat next to a couple with a baby that liked throwing her crayons. With several lunch and brunch offerings I settled on the Fruity Pebbles french toast topped with fresh berries. The French toast took a while to arrive, but it was good.

Khalia B.

Yelp
Amazing blackened fish sandwich. The wait staff are amazing. The bartenders need refresher courses. The drinks are awful. Like, really bad. I've sent back drinks while seated at a table and watched a customer send one back while sitting at the bar on a separate occasion. They also are the least enthusiastic bar staff I've seen in some time. Good location, nice outdoor seating area.

Ranjini S.

Yelp
I've driven past this place many times so it was nice to finally check it out. It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside, and there's also outdoor seating available. The staff was very friendly and I liked the ambience of the interior. I'm allergic to dairy, but splurged on the spinach artichoke dip which was fantastic. What ruined it were the stale tortilla chips. They just tasted like they were several days old. So that was disappointing. The pulled pork sandwich was really good. The menu listed crispy jalapeños but I didn't see any, however the sandwich had a really nice kick to it that I enjoyed.

Robert P.

Yelp
Always a great dining experience! But (TWICE) I requested melted butter and they gave me icy - hard butter.

Cerone A.

Yelp
If I could give this place no stars I would. This is by far the worst restaurant I've been to in the DMV in quite sometime. This establishment is unkept. The first thing I noticed was the name on the door and the awning were peeling off. That should have been the first sign for me to walk away. I sat at the bar area by a window and noticed ant infestation. Even still I was willing to give the place a try. I ordered the nachos and wings for appetizers. The wings had absolutely no salt and were saturated in oil. The nachos had more peppers than cheese and the pork appeared to be very old. Possibly sitting for days. We arrived around 3 and were told we could not order anything off of the dinner menu until 4pm. So we waited. When 4pm came we ordered the Mason burger and quesadillas. This was not our original plan for a meal but we decided to go with easy options to lessen the risk of a total disaster. Well that was also a fail because both were horrible. The Mason burger fell apart, was under seasoned and the bun soggy. If you like quesadillas that appear to be warmed in the oven and reek of black bean then avoid at all cost. Long story short this place needs to be inspected and shut down by the health department. I've never been to a place this bad in the 10 years I've lived in this area. Save your time, money and go some place else! Anywhere else!

Nneka W.

Yelp
This is a chill spot. Most people seem to be locals which makes it comfortable (I'm not a local). People are normally pretty friendly. Their drinks are great and their presentation is also nice. If you go on a good day you may get some lively bartenders. Food is decent, their menu is on the smaller side which isn't necessarily a bad thing but I think it can stand some additional items. Their fried brussel sprouts are so good, they have a good crunch to them and aren't overly seasoned. Their empanadas are also pretty good. Instead of ground beef they use shredded beef which I enjoyed. I give it 3 stars just because it isn't anything super special but I will definitely continue to come for a drink and appetizers.

Ashley F.

Yelp
I love old town alexandria and saw this place was highly rated so I made a reservation just incase it was busy. We were greeted nicely and it wasn't busy at all, so we were seated immediately. They had a bar seating, regular dining section and an outdoor seating. Everything was nice and clean. 5/5 Mason Burger The burger was pretty good nicely cook and we'll seasoned so were the fries. 4/5 Hot Chicken Sandwich I really liked the seasoning on the sandwich, but it wasn't spicy at all but very tasty. They do brunch and I wanna try that next time i'll be in town. They also have special Mon-Wed. Wednesday they do half off a bottle of wine. They have a wide variety of drinks too. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area for a quick bite.

Alexandra K.

Yelp
I had a really pleasant brunch here with my partner and his mom today. It wasn't too busy for our 11am reservation, so service was available and attentive. The ambiance was cute and I really liked the music that filled the space, old-school Linkin Park and that kind of harder-edged rock sound (it was at a volume where you noticed if you listened for it but low enough that it was possible to have conversation at a normal level. As vegetarians, my partner and I were a bit wary of the very meat-centric menu, but my partner enjoyed a very nice omelet with mozzarella, tomato and bell peppers, and I was able to get the Mason sandwich without the bacon. The sandwich was very tasty, and a generous portion especially with the mixed greens. The latter wasn't the best salad I've ever had, but with a bit of the salt and pepper that was brought to the table, it was fine. My mother-in-law got the same order as me and she enjoyed it as well. I wasn't too adventurous as far as beverages, but the brunch cocktail list looked very tempting and I would definitely be inclined to order next time.

Patrick A.

Yelp
$17.50 for a Tanquerray martini with a short pour. Thankfully, they comped my Manhattan bc the meatloaf - which was obviously already made - never arrived. They were apologetic and nice but if you're trying to be upscale and charge that much for a martini, pour it like an upscale establishment. I took a chance on this place and I will not be back. I feel like I was robbed.

Ruth D.

Yelp
Highly recommend! For as good as the food and service is here, I was surprised that there wasn't a line out the door on a Saturday morning. My group of six had no issues making a reservation. We were seated immediately and water glasses delivered as soon as we sat down. Our group started with drinks and proceeded to appetizers and then delicious meals. Since this was a holiday brunch gathering of friends from far and wide who are often in huge time zone differences, it was such a joy to sit for a few hours over great food and being able to really catch up. Our servers never made us feel rushed to leave so we had plenty of time to meander through our varied conversations. An exceptionally good time in a cheerful location. And very critical in the opinion of this Heartland southerner, Mason Social makes biscuits like they should be!

Shelby P.

Yelp
Really wasn't too excited looking at the menu to come here but with it being date night I went. I was thoroughly impressed with the food here. Everything had a great amount of flavor to it as well as a good drink menu. We got to sit outside on the patio. I definitely preferred sitting out there because inside it was extremely dark. Our waitress was extremely nice and I would definitely consider going back just because of her.

Scott S.

Yelp
Been here a couple times now. Good food and drinks. Friendly staff. I'd like to see it a little better lit but it is a bar/restaurant so they get a pass.

Devon E.

Yelp
While visiting friends in the area, came here for dinner as this is their go-to local dining spot. Decided to enjoy dinner on their patio. Patio had cute ambiance with umbrellas, greenery, and string lights. It was a great location to watch all the neighborhood activity go by. We started off with wine and cocktails. I ordered the mason lemonade (vodka, lemon, simple, rhubarb bitters, strawberry). Was presently surprised that it was not too sweet and a little tart. It was very refreshing on a summer night. For an Appetizer we ordered the CHILI FIRE SHRIMP (crispy shrimp, sweet chili sauce, scallions). The shrimp were nice and large and the sauce tasty. As an appetizer felt it was a little small for sharing with four people and everyone to feel they got their fill. I love me some fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and Brussel sprouts when it's done right, so I was of course drawn to the MASON FRIED CHICKEN (mac & cheese, fried brussels sprouts, house hot sauce) for my main. The Mason Social did not let me down. All of the components were delicious and plentiful. The chicken was moist and the skin crispy. The Mac was cheesy and the Brussels well executed. I liked the addition of hot sauce for extra kick. I ate the whole thing as it was so good, worth being overly full. Unfortunately my husband was let down by his original order. He got a fish dish, and when it arrived to the table the fish portion was surprisingly small and therefore terribly overcooked. We decided we had to actually send it back. This is not something we typically do, and hated to do it, but had to. Waiter was very apologetic and understanding about it and got my husband's reorder of something else made and to him quite quickly. Totally get stuff happens, and appreciate the restaurant taking care of him without hassle. He switched to the PERUVIAN CHICKEN (fried yuca, cucumber & tomato salad, creamy dijon, jalapeno-cilantro sauce) and it was delicious. The chicken was tasty, fried yuca crispy, and both were great vehicles to soak up all that yummy sauce. We come to this area often to meet family and friends, look forward to coming back and trying other dishes-. Our friend kept raving about their burger. Maybe I will try that or order the fried chicken again!

Michaele M.

Yelp
Came here for dinner a few nights ago and some drinks. One side of it has a very nice, trendy vibe and the other side is more like a chill sports bar/Dive Bar vibe. I opted for the Dive Bar side. Smore Whiskey Please - It was ok. Not bad but nothing to write home about. Chili Fire Shrimp - the highlight of the evening, absolutely delicious! Fried Chicken - when the dish came out, I thought that they had accidentally served me fried fish. The chicken portions were very flat- I was expecting, well, i guess fried chicken chicken drumsticks. That was fine. What wasn't fine was the complete lack of flavor and taste. It was completely Bland - no salt no nothing. Macaroni and cheese- the photos on Yelp looked way more appetizing than what was served. They pretty much looked like noodles with cheese sauce and, when I actually tasted it well that's essentially what it was. And in keeping with the theme of bland, there was absolutely no flavor. Brussel sprouts- bland, blander, blandest. Though, I would like to come back to try more of the drinks, I was left thoroughly disappointed with my meal. How hard is it to add some simple seasonings? A little Salt and Pepper would have gone a long way. I will say that the female bartender and female server were extremely friendly and accommodating.

Kat P.

Yelp
We made reservations. Showed up about 45 minutes early and I thought I'd check in, just in case. Inside was about 30% full, very dark, music blaring. Outside was maybe 40% full. I asked if we could sit outside. Hostess said, "Your reservation is for inside. Let me check." Returned a few minutes later and indicated we could be seated outside. I guess I missed the question because as I said, "great!", she interrupted me with a glare and said, "you have SIX, RIGHT??" Yes ma'am, thank you. We were seated on a pretty empty patio. It was nearly 25 minutes before the server arrived. I was ready to bounce, but we held on. Food and drinks were a solid 3. Server was fine, but overall service was lacking. Especially with the hostess opening the restaurant door, looking at our still-unattended-to table, and going back in - three times. Best part was getting an email from Opentable that I had missed the reservation! What the hell.

Jo P.

Yelp
Thanks to the ladies running the show at Mason Social, we were able to get our Happy Hour food and drink in right before 7pm. Not only was the service stellar, the food was fantastic too! We basically ordered everything our sweet waitress recommended off the HH menu, and then some: Steak and Cheese eggrolls Nachos (meat on the side) Tacos - Carnitas Potato Skin (chili on the side) Steak and Cheese Sandwich Grapefruit Turnt And a Rockfish entre My sister joined us for dinner after my husband and I took the kids swimming, so we came Hungry. Despite that, the 5 of us could hardly finish everything, including the extra eggrolls (Thank you!), but mama persevered. Perfectly hip little corner for our first outing in Alexandria! Have I mentioned how cool the women working here are?

Vincent M.

Yelp
Some friends were in town and we wanted to check out somewhere with outdoor dining. I was able to get a reservation for 8pm on a Friday. A small concern was since we went through OpenTable, I could put a preference for outdoor, but not confirmed. I did try calling to see if I could confirm outdoor, but only for the answering service and I never heard back on the message I left. We arrived at about 7:40pm to check-in and I asked about outdoor. The hostess was very nice and said we may have a part ahead of us, but she'll keep an eye out. We were fine waiting a little longer if needed. Well like five minutes later she pops out to meet us and says, "We have a table ready." We only had four of our party, but were sat and ordered drinks (I had the Ruby Roja.) Our remaining two arrived at 8pm and we ordered some more drinks and appetizers (I didn't get pics of them all.) Two orders of fried, green tomatoes, the Mason tuna, and the spinach & artichoke dip. We really enjoyed it all. I'd go between the tomatoes and the tuna as my fave (the corn with the tomatoes was a nice addition.) For my meal I got the blackened mahi-mahi sandwich with Old Bay fries. Flavors were great, though the piece of fish could have been slightly larger (didn't quite cover the bun). Fries were just right and not overly seasoned. One of my friends had the meatloaf which was a good choice. Not as dense as it looked and seasoned perfectly. We went with desserts, and they were ok. I had the chocolate meringue tarte. Flavors were spot on, nice crust, though it was like just ever so slightly frozen in the middle still. I'm guessing they're kept frozen/chilled on-hand and taken out as needed. Service was really good, perfect evening for being outside, and we enjoyed all our meals.

Yelp
The food and service here is pretty solid. In DC for a chess event with my son and a friend of mine who lives here brought us to Mason Social for dinner. Soon as we walked in I asked for a particular corner booth - the hostess was in the middle of saying no when another woman walked up behind us, cut her off and was like, "sure, absolutely you can have that booth - please have a seat!" Think she was the manager or owner - either way, I appreciated her, she was awesome. I have an antsy 7 year old so corner booths contain him more - I was happy. We ordered the steak frites (medium) with jasmine rice instead of fries, deviled eggs, mahi mahi sandwich, mac and cheese and some sort of apple tart with ice cream. The steak was cooked perfectly and was tender - jasmine rice was extremely flavorful. My son and I were surprised and he gobbled it up. Mahi mahi sandwich was excellent - brioche bun was nice and soft, and the sauce was really tasty. Mac and cheese was suuuuuper bland - almost sent it back pretty untouched - son wouldn't eat it. I was excited for the deviled eggs but they were way too cold and the bacon bits on it were so hard it felt like I almost broke a tooth chewing it! I'm not exaggerating lol. My friend felt the same but we didn't wanna waste it so we still ate them. I'm not into cooked apples but the tart was very good with a nice, buttery crust. Also had the spicy blackberry margarita, which was ok but it needed more simple syrup - which my waiter graciously added and made it more enjoyable.

Yelp
Food was ok. My steak frites was small and over cooked. I didn't even take a picture because I was so underwhelmed. I was also a little annoyed because the waiter IDed only the women at our table but none of the men. So the service was ok too.

Yelp
Had a late dinner here with family. The cheesesteak egg rolls and chili fire steaks were ok. I have had tastier versions of both at other restaurants. The other members of the party enjoyed their food. I tried their Industry Baby drink which consisted of Jameson, grand marnier, lemon, and raspberry. It was a good drink. Not too strong.

Yelp
The most mediocre food I had in a long time Should have stuck to Old Town. Don't think just because you're out of old town, you'll get quality and quantity. We got two orders of waffles, and each came with ONE child size waffle. We were shocked as we thought we mistakenly ordered from the kids' menu, but the server assured us it's the regular waffle. It was $14 for a tiny piece of waffle! We also got crab Benedict and apparently the wording on menu is misleading+$2 is PER EACH poached egg but that's not how its written on the menu and the servers don't bother assuring it's clear. Someone else complained at a nearby table so clearly I'm not the only who was mislead. The crab tasted old and not fresh (we eat crab at least once a week and can tell the difference). Brisket was dry and stale Never bothered refilling our waters or coffee. Very poor service too. Left very disappointed. Save yourself a trip and try a more reputable place. The folks in the back and front are not that interested in the restaurant business here.

Yelp
Do not order food to go! Mason Social was one of my go-to spots. I loved the food, drinks, ambience... but this last experience really turned me off. I ordered 3 meals and 2 appetizers via Uber Eats. About 45 minutes later, I get a call from the driver stating they refused to make the meals because 1 meal was on the dinner menu, not lunch (this was around 3 pm). They told him nothing was ready and that the order was canceled... let me tell you how this should have been handled - 1. Make sure you upload the CORRECT menu on the delivery app. 2. Call the customer and apologize - let them know the delivery will not be happening, or offer them to swap the item. Your lack of regard for the customer, driver (who drove to your business and now will not get paid or get a tip), and inability to recognize that it is YOUR mistake for not having the right menu up shows what type of business is really being run - a chaotic, unorganized one. Safe to say that we won't be back.

Yelp
Kinda disappointed with my meal tonight. I've been coming here rather consistently and just wasn't very satisfied after the soft shell crab and scallop risotto we had. There was no texture to the scallop risotto dish- just mushy from the rice and scallops and was also way to saucy. There wasn't anything special to it and definitely not worth the $26. The soft shell crab dish was also just alright. It was deep fried but altogether rather flavorless. The salad underneath was the best part but was also on the salty side- wouldn't pay $26 for that again either. Nice presentation but wouldn't order again.

Yelp
I don't think I've ever felt so ripped off by a restaurant in my life. We came here for restaurant week...the regular restaurant menu was CHEAPER than the restaurant week menu. Why even advertise for restaurant week if you're going to try to scan your customers. So we decided to just order off the regular menu instead of being limited to the restaurant week menu. Appetizers: firecracker shrimp (good) steak n cheese eggs rolls (okay) fried green tomato (okay) Main course: Burger (really good) Steak and frites (decent) but please look at this portion size for $25. This was BEFORE I touched my plate. They claim this is 8oz of steak. The audacity of this plate.

Yelp
I've been driving past this place for years and finally stopped by for Monday All Day Happy Hour. I can tell this is a cool local spot because of the conversations that the bartenders and servers were having with the patrons that they called by first name. The customer service was great. They have a lot of options on the regular menu as well as the happy hour. I ordered the carnitas nachos, the meatballs and cheesy grits and the fried green tomatoes. Everything was really good and seasoned well. They also didn't skimp on the drinks. They had a guy in the back area plying live music which was nice. This would be a cool place to catch a game.
