Mason’s Famous Brings Warm, Buttery Lobster Rolls to Arlington Next Year | Eater DC

"I learned Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls will import its beloved Maine lobster rolls to Arlington in early 2022 with a new outpost at the Village at Shirlington. The flagship opened in Annapolis in 2014 and the fast-casual franchise now has 18 locations across several states. The cafe serves lobster meat sustainably sourced from Maine on a grilled, buttery split-top roll, plus lobster mac and cheese, creamy lobster bisque, and New England clam chowder; rolls come in several varieties, including a Connecticut option tossed in butter and served warm." - Stephanie Carter

June 25, Sunday after FBCA, I asked him we must go to Mason's Famous Lobster Roll restaurant in Valley Shirling from Arlington right away because I love the Lobster Roll, seriously Nice warm and sunny outside afternoon weather. Our first time to get there because they're new restaurant setup local. We ordered for: Connecticut Roll (sweet lobster served warm with butter in our New England split-top roll) Lobster BLT Roll (sweet lobster served with mayo, lemon butter, bacon, lettuce & tomato in our New England split-top roll) Plus beverage and chip. A front young registered is friendly and brings our food to the table, excellent. Family, children, and friends are here where I can see them and really enjoy it themselves as well. The place is cleaned and organized it. By the way, the Lobster Roll is so delicious, yummy! Love to eat during the summer season and hot weather, fantastic! We will go there again in the future more.

Google
Man after having a bite of my friend's roll i had to find this place while in DC. And when I did it definitely didn't disappoint. Best lobster rolls I've ever tested (only 2 others to compare😆)Rolls are super soft and butter is scrumptious. The blt roll was smackin

Google
The Lobster BLT at Mason's Famous Lobster Roll was a mouthwatering delight that left me craving more. The combination of succulent lobster meat, crispy bacon, and fresh lettuce and tomato created a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that satisfied my taste buds. It was truly a treat for seafood lovers. On the other hand, the tater tots fell short of expectations. They lacked the desired crispiness and flavor, which was a disappointment. To complement the meal, I indulged in a refreshing Gin Blackberry Bramble by Coastal Cocktails. The canned drink was a delicious mix of flavors that perfectly complemented the lobster BLT. Overall, Mason's Famous Lobster Roll is a go-to destination for lobster lovers, with their Lobster BLT stealing the show. While the tater tots may not have impressed, the delightful canned drinks, like the Gin Blackberry Bramble, add a touch of sophistication to the dining experience.

Firstly, I wanted to state that the staff were great. Very pleasant and had a great sense of urgency. The food was ready within minutes. I think the roll itself is a pretty good value at $20. Most places in the area charge 30+ and may or may not come with a side. I ordered 2 Connecticut rolls, 2 tots, 2 lobster bisques. The total was $70 including a few dollars tip. The rolls were good, the bisque and the tots were okay. Not sure I’d be running back to spend $70 on this particular meal. It is ultimately fast food. If you’re in a rush and want a decent lobster roll, I highly encourage stopping in. If you’ve got a little time to spare, there are some places in the area that will give you a little more bang for your buck.

Google
2024 UPDATE: Still the best in the area! The best lobster rolls in the area! Got the Classic, a Bar Harbor version of the Connecticut Roll, the Lobster Mac & Cheese, and both the Lobster Bisque and Clam Chowder. All were very delicious and oh-so-sinful. So happy to have them right here in Shirlington and can't wait to get back!

Richard D.

Google
Food is terrific. NE chowder is very good. Have been there once before but will be their again.

Google
Masons does lobster rolls like lobster rolls should be done. They do need to stay in their own lane though as they tried adding tater tots to their menu and they were terrible. The lobster rolls, the chowders and bisque are spot on and you can't go wrong with those.

Google
What a wonderful couple, Taj and Faries! They welcomed us so graciously and the lobster rolls were outstanding! So glad we found this little staple and will definitely be returning!

Yelp
First and foremost, I was excited -- like "craving-crab-all-day" excited -- to finally try this place. I've passed it so many times, and today something said, go get that crab roll, girl. So I did! Now, I'm not gonna lie -- the prices had me clutching my wallet a little, but I figured if it's good, it's worth it. I ordered the warm crab roll because it said it came with Old Bay seasoning. (And if you know, you know -- Old Bay means flavor!) Fast forward to me at work, ready to have my "mmm" moment. I open the box and... crickets. That roll was small -- like, "sample size at Costco" small -- and when I took my first bite? No flavor. I mean NONE. The crab wasn't seasoned at all, just a little sprinkle of Old Bay on top like they were scared to commit. Even if I said "extra Old Bay," it still wouldn't have saved it. I like my crab meat seasoned through and through -- not just dusted like powdered sugar. Then I tried the crab bisque, hoping it would redeem things. But nope. That soup said, "I too lack flavor." Just warm disappointment in a cup. At this point, the only way I'd go back is if they let me in the kitchen so I can season the crab myself. Because clearly... they need help.

Yelp
It's notable that Mason's Famous was empty throughout my leisurely, dine in visit. I was greeted immediately and served quickly by the very friendly gentleman behind the counter. The ambiance was okay because it was clean, well lit, and had plentiful seating indoors and outdoors. My challenge was the food! I ordered the Bar Harbor lobster roll with extra lobster, a crab roll, and lobster bisque. The crab roll was delicious and, to my surprise, was the best part of the meal. The lobster bisque and lobster roll had no real flavor. I longed for a pinch of Old Bay, or garlic, or salt, or SOMETHING! This was a bit disappointing in light of the roughly $70 tab. I wanted to like Mason's but I can't recommend it and will not be back.

Yelp
Visiting the city wanted a lobster roll .. pricing is really high but the food was good

Yelp
Recently visited Mason's Lobster in Arlington, VA and was very pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and super yummy! We ordered the Bar Harbor Roll (which has 50% more lobster meat) along with the lobster bisque, and it was more than enough for two to share. The roll was buttered and gently toasted, overflowing with lobster meat and a tail--no extra toppings or sauces needed! The bisque was creamy. We didn't realize one could add lobster chunks to the soup - will definitely remember that for next time! Service was great Since it was our first visit, we had some questions about the menu, and the gentleman who assisted us was kind, informative, and patient. His recommendations were spot on! The ambiance was lovely, with the sun streaming through the front windows on a chilly winter day, making the space warm and inviting. If you're looking for a "Maine to Mouth" experience where the lobster truly shines (and you're in Arlington, VA), try checking out Mason's Lobster!

Yelp
It was good and I enjoyed the roll. I went with the Bar Harbor, which has extra meat for extra $ ($28 as of today). But it didn't quite have the zing and addictive flavor of my go-to roll from Coastal Flats.
google avatar

Meesh L.

Yelp
Delicious lobster rolls! Hands down, the Connecticut style is the winner -- served warm with plenty of melted butter on a perfectly toasted roll. If you're craving extra lobster (and trust me, you will be), definitely size up to the Bar Harbor. I added a side of crispy tater tots and a seasonal blueberry lager... such a great combo. It all came together as a true Maine-style meal, from the buttery lobster to the blueberries to a classic Whoopie Pie for dessert. The staff were super friendly, and both the indoor and outdoor seating areas were clean, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed meal.

Yelp
Mason's is on the main strip in Shirlington and, while smallish, can accommodate a decent amount of people for dining in. There are even bar seats that look out onto the street in case you prefer that. There was only one person at the register and she was taking a phone order. I made my order and received my food fast enough. The problem is the food though. I generally don't care about price as long as the food is good. This was not. The roll was small and my bun was burned. I wish I'd taken a pic of it. The lobster had a good texture - as in, not overcooked, but it lacked flavor. Then the tots. I get tots because they tend to be crunchy and flavorful. These seemed like they were cooked earlier in the day and microwaved or something. They had no flavor - not even salt. They were awful. I'm definitely not coming back. Go elsewhere when you're in the area.

Yelp
The Connecticut lobster roll here beats Cousin's and Luke's lobster. And personally, I believe it's better than the lobster in Maine and Nantucket. Worth the money!
google avatar

Nikky Y.

Yelp
Came for the lobster rolls, obviously. It was good, tasted fresh and bread was freshly toasted/buttered. Not pictured but we also got the clam chowder and Maryland crab soup - clam chowder is so delicious and creamy. Maryland crap soup is more like a minestrone soup if you like that kind of thing. Only complaint would maybe be larger portion sizes regarding the lobster; I've had other places where it was completely packed. Flavor wise good and worth coming back for.

Ryan V.

Yelp
Jessica is the best! She greeted me so nicely and really knew how to take care of everyone even though it was busy.

Yelp
Went here for a quick bite for lunch in the Shirlington area. Showed so much promise but did not deliver on the flavor. Our server was pleasant. We had the typical lobster roll, lobster with greens, and lobster bisque. Only the lobster roll was worth coming back for. The rest could be chalked up as box check.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
I got the classic roll and it was delicious. I loved the buttered, toasted bread it came on. The lobster also tasted great. Taking off a star because of the portion size. Usually for around $20 I can get 2 portions out of it but I ate the whole sandwich in one meal since it wasn't that big. I understand that lobster is an expensive protein, but it would have been nice if the roll included some cheaper sides to fill people up. Would recommend people opt for The Bar Harbor with 50% more meat if they want to be full.
google avatar

Eddie S.

Yelp
We had the classic roll, Connecticut roll, clam chowder, Mac and cheese and a hot dog (some people don't like seafood...) The service and the food were great!

Yelp
Finally found a lobster roll spot in VA! Sadly, it was approaching closing time but the staff welcomed me with open arms and didn't make me feel rushed at all even though they were about to close. Pricing is fair for fresh lobster rolls! My lobster roll was super buttery, warm and with the right amount of lobster on a buttery toasted roll. I got a bag of chips on the side but to be honest, the roll was enough. It was so good and mouthwatering and just What I've imagined. They have lots of drink options even alcoholic beverages. They also have whoopee pies if you want a little dessert for your sweet tooth. The place was well kept and clean with amazing staff even though it was just 2 of them. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area for something slight but filling.

Yelp
Lobster here, lobster there, lobster everywhere! Where?Mason's Famous Lobster! Try a roll, try the bisque, let your tongue roll, take a trip! The lobster rolls are outstanding and easily among the best that we've ever had. The amount of lobster on each roll is plentiful. The menu offers a variety including lobster mac & cheese, lobster grilled cheese, bisque, chowder and more. We tried the classic roll, the ct roll and the lobster mac & cheese. I really enjoyed the buttery warm lobster on the Connecticut roll and everything was delicious. Did I mention that the portions are both generous and filling? I highly recommend trying a variety when visiting. This location and customer service are simply amazing and worthy of a visit for an incredible lobster experience. Everything is absolutely delicious! We can't wait to visit again. Run and thank me later. Bon appetite!

Yelp
First, it is not cheap for a $20 lobster roll. So, it is worth for the taste and the size. My answer is yes. It was a week day and discovered the store across the street. First impression after walk in is clean and with New England feel.... Second was the price of the lobster roll got me!! I order the classic chill style and clam chowder. The size and portion of the roll was perfect. The clam chowder was warm and creamy. I was little surprised and better than my expectation. The service was fast because there were only few people there. Other than the deep price on the lobster roll. This is a place when you can get a good lobster w/o driving up to the NorthEast.

Yelp
I've been counting down the months for this spot to open and it did not disappoint. I ordered the CT Roll and Lobster Bisque. The roll itself was perfectly buttered and toasted. The lobster tasted incredibly fresh with the perfect lemon/butter mix I love. They did not skimp on the lumps of lobster meat. The bisque was also divine with lump meat. I will absolutely be back. Great service, great food, great location. I forgot to check and see if they had NA Beer. But, will check the next time I'm there.

Yelp
The food is overrated, and I'll explain why. Mason's is a FAST food franchise company started in 2014. This location opened in August 2022 and is owned by franchisees. They say on their website, "At Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls, the focus is on simplicity and indulgence. Our lobster rolls are prepared according to tradition. With no bells, no whistles, and no pretention. And we serve them with only the basics: Lemon. Butter. Mayo. Maybe a little celery. Nothing extra to distract you. Just enough to seduce you." My wife and I weren't seduced. We don't even want to come back. Their food is simple alright, too simple. Their lobsters would have to be incredibly flavorful and succulent to rely on such basic ingredients as mayo, butter, and lemon to make their food outstanding. They're not going to get that with frozen lobsters supplied in huge numbers. Here's what we found with the dishes we bought. 1) Lobster Bisque It was watery with a few thin strands of lobster. It wasn't rich or buttery, and it lacked sherry flavor. It was a basic soup with flavors of milk, lobster, salt, pepper, garlic, and a hint of tomato. It wasn't worth the price. Lobster meat can be added for an extra charge. It needed a lot more than that to make it appealing. 2) Lobster BLT Roll It had chunks of lobster meat, bacon, lettuce, and tomato in a New England split-top roll. It was supposed to have mayo and lemon butter. Someone forgot to put it in. We got it as a combo meal with The Bar Harbor. Combos come with a side and a drink. The side choices are: coleslaw, potato salad, tater tots, and Cape Cod chips. The Bar Harbor means you get 50% more lobster meat, which includes lobster tail. The lobster was moist and slightly chewy with little flavor. The lobster should have been cut into smaller pieces. Not everyone has a big mouth, literally. The bacon was thick sliced, not salty, and had good flavor. The New England split-top roll was toasted and soft inside. It tasted like plain white bread. Overall, the flavor was the sum of the parts. The mayo and lemon butter were sorely needed for flavor and moisture. 3) Lobster Salad Roll It had chunks of lobster meat with diced celery, mayonnaise, and lemon juice in a New England split-top roll. We got it as a combo meal with The Bar Harbor. The lobster was moist, slightly sweet, and a bit chewy. It tasted good, not great. The big chunks with dressing were messy to eat. The dressing tasted like mayonnaise with a little cream, salt, and pepper. Overall, it tasted okay, but it wasn't special. I've had better in Maine, and even then, they were nothing to rave about. They were made the traditional way also. They had fresh lobsters, not frozen, which gave them more flavor and tenderness. 4) Coleslaw It was a side dish that we picked for our combo meal. It had shredded green and red cabbage and shredded carrots. The dressing tasted like mayonnaise with vinegar, salt, and sugar. Plain and simple, that's all. 5) Potato Salad We picked this as a side dish for the combo meal. It had red potatoes, relish, mayonnaise, vinegar, salt, pepper, and Dijon mustard. It was the most flavorful dish in our order. It's hard to believe that this potato salad, of all things, had the most complete flavor profile. The service was polite, informative, and helpful. The dining room and restroom were clean. They have self-serve fountain sodas. Plastic forks and spoons, napkins, straws, and cup lids are available at a counter near the soda dispenser. There is a parking garage and a bus stop nearby. After reading many positive reviews, I was expecting some flavorful dishes. But they're not, they're simple like Mason's posted. I can only hope that the food was made wrong. A traditional lobster roll can be enjoyable, but the flavor profile doesn't have much depth. There are much better tasting lobster rolls out there. The flavorful ones use ingredients that are nontraditional. As it is, Mason's is for people who love simple seafood dishes prepared like fast food. Mason's is the McDonald's of lobster rolls.
google avatar

Alan B.

Yelp
I ordered the traditional lobster roll with a side of coleslaw and a bag of chips. I only ordered the original amount of lobster and it was loaded. The staff were great. I told them that I hadn't had a lobster roll in years and then it was delivered, it was what I had been missing. I walked from my hotel for this lunch and it was perfect. I will be back the next time I'm in the area
google avatar

Peyton F.

Yelp
Pretty tasty! I'm from Louisiana so this is my first lobster roll and I was pleasantly surprised. The bread is so soft and fresh, and the food was made very fast.
google avatar

Emily D.

Yelp
Arrived late to my hotel hungry and had this delicious lobster roll delivered to my door. From order to delivery the service was fast and my roll arrived hot. The bun was toasted with a light butter flavor. Great option to try while in town.
google avatar

Matt T.

Yelp
Everything we wanted. 3 of us tried 4 different rolls. The Lobster salad roll was my daughter's fav. The Connecticut was my favorite because it was warm. All were great. Too hungry to take pics of the food. Maybe next time since it's worth coming back, even though I'm from out of town.

Yelp
Tl;dr fast food lobster roll If you're craving a lobster roll then this is the place to get a quick and delicious fix.
google avatar

Lia M.

Yelp
Mason's is a favorite of mine and I was happy to try their Arlington location. You can't go wrong with a Connecticut lobster roll, Cape Cod chips, and a Maine Root Beer. It was delicious. Lobster roll was well-filled with plenty of buttery lobster and the roll was perfectly toasted. It's a fast casual place but service was great. I look forward to returning.

Yelp
Everything is great!! Just do yourself a favor and come here. We met the owner and she was awesome! But even before she showed up, the young men in the back provided great service!! The ambiance was chill, clean facilities, and not very noisy. The food is out of this world. Everything was tasty!! I tried the Mac n cheese, grilled cheese (looks simple but it's to die for), lobster bisque ,don't forget to upgrade and add lobster on top), and the clam chowder. And the chocolate whoopie pies!! Everything had me wishing I lived closer! I'll definitely be back again and again!! Heck, I may even move to the neighborhood!

Cameron S.

Yelp
Food took forever and did not taste very good. The one in national harbor is much better. Our Connecticut roll wasn't even warm.
google avatar

Sean L.

Yelp
Best lobster roll I've had outside of Maine. Service is efficient and non-fussy. Great spot when you want something fast and decadent in Shirlington
google avatar

Ajay M.

Yelp
If you're jonesing for a lobster roll then come to Mason's. If you're not jonesing for a lobster roll then don't come to Mason's. It's that simple. Friendly and fast service, clean restaurant, and most importantly fantastic lobster rolls.
google avatar

Zee C.

Yelp
Yum. My first time eating a lobster roll here and it didn't disappoint. GF roll, thank you very much! Good thing I don't live near here or I would probably want to eat here every other day. Four stars because I just had one takeout food item so I can't speak to much more about the place.

Megan M.

Yelp
Update to say I tried again today. Was so much better. Decorated really nicely for Valentine's Day. The lady at the counter was very nice. Coke machine was out and her husband replaced asap. Very different experience and the food was good. Will be back.
google avatar

Rainier V.

Yelp
Good food, does reminds me of Maine. Good friendly manager and staff. Clean restaurant.

Scottie G.

Yelp
MFLR in Shirlington didn't disappoint. Had the CT style (warm) lobster roll with side of lobster bisque and both were awesome. I asked them to separate the lobster from the bread for my walk home and they happily obliged. Considering the buttery meatiness of the lobster, separating is the only way to go - or your roll is going to be DOA. Ponied up a few dollars for extra lump lobster in the bisque (because I'm a glutton) and it was plentiful, worth every penny. The interior is pleasant enough, and certainly spacious to handle the crowds if needed. Highly recommend, try to avoid peak hours as they get busy because carry out and 3rd party are a significant portion of their business based on what I could see.
google avatar

John A.

Yelp
So far so good I placed an order online and picked it up service was quick and easy. Employees were nice the store was clean and new. Look forward to coming back again soon
google avatar

Burcin D.

Yelp
Very glad Shirlington Village got a Mason's Lobster! We tried several lobster rolls, the clam chowder, mac and cheese and grilled cheese lobster! I loved every single bite (also asked for extra butter to drizzle on top) . The rolls are definitely VERY filling and delicious. I will stop by soon again!
google avatar

Mia C.

Yelp
Amazing lobster rolls - taste and quality. Clam chowder and Whoopi pies were tasty. Glad they have local sodas. Short staffed recently, but they are nice! Could use an update on interior as it looks like a cafeteria -but food is good!

Erika C.

Yelp
Was very disappointed with the lobster roll. If you specialize in one thing it should be done great every time. This was far from it. I ordered the lobster roll with extra lobster. The lobster roll Was flavorless. Had no mayo or lemon butter or anything. Was just chunks of very dry rubbery overcooked flavorless lobster. For over 30 bucks this was a complete waste of money. A lobster roll is not hard to make. Not sure what the problem is over there but ownership should probably spend some time in the store and retrain the staff on the correct way to make a lobster roll. Don't waste your money here. Definitely wont be back.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
Food was great! Wasn't crowded. If you want somewhere for your first time trying a lobster roll, this is it. Fast service.

B C.

Yelp
After my post, I received a message. To my dismay, the owner had filed a complaint with the third-party used (Toast/Door-Dash.) I can appreciate an owner wanting to rectify things within their control. A refund was sent and as a result of honorable and dedicated service, I've adjusted my ratings. Would be happy to visit their establishment again, definitely for both soups next time and will give the roll another chance, as amazing as it was the first two visits. Ordered off their website for lunch and hadn't received my order. Called the number Toast had listed if there were issues with the order and there was a really nasty woman who answered and said to call whoever I ordered from...but I ordered from YOUR online website. Toast doesn't have contact info and DoorDash doesn't have any contact info readily available from their apps. It would be helpful if the business had contact numbers for places they authorized to do business with in terms of delivery. So, after an hour that my order said it was delivered, I asked my building office and they said a lady came in and put it in a pod. NEVER ever EVER do I put my food in a pod. I want it handed to me. Who knows the temperature and safety of the food commingled in together? It's no longer safe to eat. I reordered and FINALLY received text confirmation of order leaving the restaurant and driver approaching. I still want my money back on my first order that had to be tossed out. My second order was okay. Same CT roll I had last time just didn't do it for me this time. 3/5 The lobster bisque tasted like someone else made it this time. 1/5. All I tasted was butter and cream, no lobster. It didn't have enough stock to work with, and there was a chunk of something that didn't get strained or milk curdling. Very disappointed. The saving grace was the clam chowder with extra roll. They were just as I remembered the last time. 5/5. Overall, not coming back to this place for a while.

Yelp
10/10 would recommend giving Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls a try. My fiancé and I love the Connecticut Roll, it's always so warm, buttery and straight up delicious all around. My only complaint about Mason's is that there isn't some sort of side included with the roll besides a pickle. Some fries or other side would definitely complement the roll. Service is stellar every time, no complaints there at all. Definitely give this place a try.

Ashley F.

Yelp
I really keep trying to like this place as the options for a Connecticut roll in this area are slim. It is always overcooked. Every. Single. Time. I haven't had this experience at their national harbor location so I would appreciate the manager taking this into consideration.

Amanda H.

Yelp
So, I recently had a really negative experience with a roll I ordered from their Dupont Circle location. My man knows how much I love lobster and how disappointed I was--especially because I'd paid extra for the Bar Harbor which was supposed to have 50% more meat--and I guess he was convinced this location would be better so picked me up their classic Connecticut style roll... Holy moly was he right! This lobster roll was absolutely delicious. Succulent, delicious lobster meat that I first just devoured. Then I scraped the insides of the roll down to the crusty part, they were buttery goodness (I'm weird and eat the insides of any sandwich/roll before addressing the bread). To top it off... this roll was WAY more packed than the Bar Harbor from Dupont. This is one of their simple rolls which isn't advertised as extra meat, but it had way more! Was truly delicious. I ate it within ten minutes. The only reason I am knocking a star is because I do think it's still too pricey, especially for the parts of lobster you get. But this was really good as a treat! Sorry for no photo. I just started eating and was done before I thought to take one.
google avatar

Shawn E.

Yelp
Great food and great service! Nya was amazing and very helpful! And the music playing was great too!
google avatar

Tom H.

Yelp
This is a chain lobster roll place. It provides satisfactory lobster rolls. Nothing more, nothing less. Do not stray from the lobster rolls, however! I got overconfident and ordered the lobster bisque. It is just pinkish salt water. No lobster pieces, no flavor. I wouldn't even consider this a broth. It was just milk+water+salt.
google avatar

Jeremiah M.

Yelp
I had to wait until my wife was out for business and my daughter was at school to try this place. After spending a week in Maine for a friends wedding I've craved a lobster roll ever since. I threw caution to the wind, skipped breakfast and ordered a Bar Harbor Connecticut style. The bun was slightly toasted and the portion of the lobster was ample. It has the brine-y sweetness I expected. There was more juice from the meat than I remember, but it could have just been the slightly larger portion. All in all a decadent treat to have occasionally but it is also a $30 lunch that doesn't have me raving.

Frank L.

Yelp
Had a great lunch at Mason's the other day. Portions were generous and they even have Old Bay hot sauce. Service was great as well, as I was clearly provided the available options and sides. Give it a try next time you want to treat yourself!

WOW what great lobster rolls, the complete menu was great. Everything was prepared fresh while you (the customer) was sent into the dining room. Your order came out fresh and did I say WOW, what a joy my mouth feeling with this great food.

Yelp
this place would've gotten a 5 star if it wasn't for the tiny gluten free roll they served. in comparison to my friend's gluten-full roll, it was so small, and it costs more to get it gluten free. the lobster, however, was delicious,
