Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls

As a vegetarian the only thing I could order was the Mac n cheese and that stuff was BOMB! Only $7 and did not expect the portion size to be so big. My friends loved their lobster rolls too!! Understand that it’s a chain and a touristy spot but nonetheless a great place to check lobster roll off your bucket list without waiting for hours at Pike Place. Good prices too

Mason's had a nice atmosphere and was clean. The service rep was professional and friendly. The lobster rolls were delicious. We tried a "Traditional" and the "Connecticut". Personally the "Connecticut" was my favorite the warm buttery goodness really brought out the flavor. Would recommend for a light meal especially if your planning on walking around. We did spend a little over $70 for two combos but it was worth the experience.

First time going was last Saturday and I was quite pleased. Ordered the combo with the classic style lobster roll and the potato salad. Potato salad is really good with a mayo and mustard base that is predominantly mustard based. They had Old Bay on the table so I knew I was in the right spot. Can’t wait to come back. Simple atmosphere with not too much going on as the focus is on food. Bring your wallet with you, but you won’t be disappointed. I won’t stop until I’ve had the entire menu and I’m already telling my friends about it. It’s right across from Seattle Art Museum main entrance and easy to get to from the Symphony Light Rail Station.

Solid lobster rolls! Buttery soft buns + a good amount of lobster. The lobster was a bit chewy and overcooked but overall not too bad. A bit pricey but makes sense given the food type and restaurant location (expect to pay $20-35 per roll). Clam chowder didn’t have a lot of seafood - was mostly potatoes - but still quite hearty. The interior is quite small, cold, and not the most comfortable but could be fun in the summertime!

Mason's Lobster 🦞 Rolls is my favorite lobster rolls place ever!! We appreciated so much that they stayed after closing so we could pickup our order. The Ferry ⛴️ got us off last. 😅 We usually get the Bar Harbor- for the extra lobster! 🦞 🦞 and 😋 Casual atmosphere. Enjoy!

Lobster roll was filled with lots of fleshy lobster meat with some brininess. It was a good compact portion though a little bit expensive for the amount given. Situated very conveniently near Pike’s market (a few minutes away) and along the Main Street, so accessibility is no issue.

We tried this place recently for a lobster roll and it was ok. We ordered the classic roll to-go. Had I been more perceptive, I would have noticed the 6 tables inside with people that had ordered, but not received their food. It took about 30 min to get it, so if there’s a way to order ahead, it’s worth it. One employee was working the register and making the food for 20 of the 30 min. Finally, a second employee came out of the back to help. After the wait, the lobster roll was just ok. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are in a hurry.

We found this place walking down 1st avenue and couldn’t help but stop in….and we were super happy that we did. This may have been the best combo of quality and value I’ve ever had with a lobster roll. It wasn’t just a high end lobster roll, it was an awesome deal at just $22. In an area packed with awesome seafood, this place sticks out, they’re that good. If you’re in the area, check these guys out.

My husband and I finally tried Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls and it did not disappoint I ordered the cold crab roll and it was soooo fresh and flavorful. The crab was chilled, lightly dressed, and packed into a perfectly soft, buttery roll--super simple but done so right. It didn't feel heavy at all, which I loved. My husband got the hot lobster roll and he was obsessed. The lobster was warm, buttery, and super tender--honestly tasted like something you'd get on the East Coast. You could tell the quality was there. We also got the potato salad on the side and it was creamy with just the right amount of crunch--such a good pairing with the rolls. On top of that, the service was super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, everything tasted fresh, high-quality, and worth it. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to whenever we're craving seafood

I am obsessed with lobster rolls and super picky about which ones I like. When I moved here last year, I was super excited yet skeptical of this place located just a few blocks from me. It's in a touristy area so that can sometimes lead to subpar quality. Not the case here! The lobster is always fresh and delicious, the bun (a key component of the roll) is fantastic and much better than some local competitors. The potato salad is another one of my favorites. Plus, the staff is always so friendly and helpful, if I could afford it I'd eat here every day. Highly recommend!

I met a guy named Mason recently at a wedding and perhaps this is his restaurant. At the very least I'm sure he'd be a fan. We both joined a cult. Got the Connecticut roll with the extra lobster tail. Would recommend. Do you have a minute to read this pamphlet? It could save your soul. 5 stars

super solid lobster rolls! located a short walk away from pike place. the lobster is plentiful, the bread is toasted perfectly, but there are better options imo. they also provide chips with your roll. also there was only one employee working when we went. he was doing everything!

Nice location right near the SAM. This makes a pretty quick and easy lunch spot. We swung by when they opened at 11am on a Saturday. It's a very casual spot, you order at the front and then they'll call you when your order is ready. Lobster rolls definitely hit the spot. The kids Mac and cheese was enormous! Definitely had leftovers. If you're craving a lobster roll, it's a pretty tasty spot. Would I venture out of my way for it? Probably not though.

BEST LOBSTER ROLL I think I've ever had. Large chunks of lobster that was just SUPER tasty. Roll was perfectly buttered and toasted. Price was $24 We added a slide of Cole slaw- $3 but it was a bit bland for my taste. I will dream of this roll though. Wow. Don't sleep on this one. Seriously. It's a casual place- metal chairs to make your bum cry but otherwise- clean space and quick and efficient service.

Came here because my sister kept saving this place was good... and it's true! It is really pricey, for two lobster rolls + tip it was around $61, and it wasn't even including a drink. But honestly it's worth it. I've had plenty of lobster rolls and this quality is unmatched, it is fresh and plump. It's not dry, it's really soft and just such a great lobster roll. We got the Connecticut roll (compared to the classic roll it's cold) because it was warm lobster. Table offers salt, pepper, and I believe it's an old bay/cajun seasoning (my fav). The roll comes with a pickle spear and fresh lemon, loved everything about this. Price is expensive but you'll understand why it's priced the way it is. We were helped with friendly and told us they will call our order when it's ready.

Visited Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls in Seattle on a Saturday afternoon. I had such a pleasant experience!! Food: We ordered a classic lobster and a connecticut lobster rolls, clam chowder and lobster bisque. Man, it's been a while since I've been to a lobster roll store where they give you big pieces of lobsters in the roll!!! It was so fresh and I barely added any seasoning and sauce. The soup was on point and perfect pairing with the rolls. I really appreciate that they offer gluten free roll option. Pricing was so much more reasonable compared to other lobster roll places in Pike Place Market. Customer service: The staff were so friendly and informative about the menu. They helped me understand the differences of each roll that allowed me to select one that I would enjoy. Ambiance: The store is very clean with plenty of seats. It has this cute coastal vibe that brought the seaside feels. If you are tired walking at the Pike Place market or needing some good food, I strongly recommend stopping by to get a bite here! I can't wait to come back when I'm in downtown Seattle again!! :) P.S. it's usually camera eats first but this time belly eats first (forgot to take my food photos)

Got the Connecticut roll with the bar harbor meat add on, which was advertised as 50% more meat. I think it was essentially just an extra hunk of tail meat, but I'm glad I got it bc I think otherwise the roll would've been really disappointing. Overall it was good, pretty standard. I liked that it came with a lemon slice and a pickle, but a single roll and a cup of soup for around $40 and I was still hungry. The Lobster bisque had not a single chunk of kosher in it, just microscopic shreds. Definitely wouldn't get again.

This place was very good! Service was great. Place was clean. The lobster was big chunks, not too chewy and marinated perfectly. Mac and cheese was also very delicious. Highly recommend!!!!

First time having Masons lobster rolls, and ordred their classic roll, lobster with mayo and lemon butter, also got their mac n cheese. The lobster roll tasted really delicious and fresh, with no ammonia odor, which is always a good sign! I do wish their rolls had stronger buttery aroma though, that's the only downside. Their mac n cheese was really good as well! Highly recomended!

Really great value for lobster and crab rolls! They give a hefty amount of fresh, tender, and perfectly seasoned crab/lobster meat for a decent price. This was nestled within a warm, soft, buttery toast. I really enjoy Mason's because they have food items that similar places don't offer. For one, they offer a warm crab roll (which I feel like is rare - usually places only serve cold crab). They also have clam chowder that doesn't have bacon, which is another huge plus. I would consider Mason's to be a fast casual restaurant with high quality ingredients. The employees are kind and the food was served quickly. There is a clean bathroom for paying customers.

Mason's had fantastic service. The classic lobster roll was very flavorful though did feel a bit dry. Lobster Mac and cheese had great outside crunch and was savory. Ambiance was quite nice and quiet, and I overall enjoyed my experience.

We ordered the Connecticut and classic lobster roll. Tasted pretty good It's a decent size for $26. The service is a little bit slow. They take their time to make plenty of sitting space.

I got the classic with no butter and just added lemon. The bun could have been better but the lobster was really good. It wasn't too busy while I was there but the server was very helpful with my dairy allergy and answering questions. Also friendly and attentive. There's lots of spots to sit by the window and people watch if you'd like, which is what I did since every one was coming back from the game.

We for the bay harbor lobster roll, which promises 50% more lobster, Including tail. $28. We got the warm lobster roll. It was delicious! The bread was nice and toasted. I felt like they gave a good amount of lobster. It wasn't very salted so we added some salt. It's located a few blocks from likes place. The price is a little more affordable than other places.

Great lobster rolls! The portions, flavor, presentation is all on point. Centrally located downtown Seattle off first avenue, it's perfect for a stop while playing tourist downtown. Always friendly staff and greeted with a smile on every visit here I've made. It's hard not to make this a more regular stop. A lobster roll and bowl of chowder (clam or lobster bisque) will run you about $35-$40, but worth it!

I'll be honest, the slightly lower prices at Mason's drew my interest and I was sold at the signficantly lower line. Staff is friendly and the shop was clean/well maintained. The New England clam chowder was tasty, with more clam than potatoes which made the price worth it. However compared to Ivar's or Pike Place Chowder, Mason's chowder seems slightly smaller. The Connecticut Roll was indeed buttery but well grilled, and considerably packed with lobster. I was a bit surprised with how small it was (slightly smaller than a regular fork), but I suppose that's the trade off for the lower cost. The whoopie pie is a nice treat down nostaliga lane. Tasty and not too messy. If I'm in the area again and not wanting to wait in the longer lines, I'll probably go back.

I was looking for a small bit before dinner, then there it is.. Mason's famous lobster roll! I had no expectation since I'm from out of town and never heard of it but I thought I would give it a try. I got the Connecticut roll since it's really cold outside. On first bite, it was quite good. The lobster tasted fresh, also tasted like seasoning was added. I like how the outside of the bread is slightly crispy and although it's small, still enough to hold the lobster. The temperature of the lobster roll was just right. The person taking the order was nice and the place is clean. I would come back if I am in the area again, hopefully the prices still stay the same~

My friends and I were looking for a place around Pike Place to grab a quick dinner since we had a flight to catch. After searching around for a bit, we came across Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls since it didn't seem like they had much of a line. We ordered at the front of the store and picked up the food after around 5 minutes or so. The place has a good amount of seating so we were able to easily find a place to sit. I ordered the classic lobster roll along with a small cup of clam chowder. The chilled lobster meat was very fresh, while the buttery toasted roll offered a nice contrast to the texture of the lobster. The clam chowder was also solid, with a lot of freshness and flavor as well. Even though the prices are on the higher end, I do think the quality of this restaurant was great and I would definitely be open to coming again. Overall, if you're a fan of seafood then this is a good place to try out!

Wish I got more food for the price. I paid $32 for this combo which included the Connecticut roll (warm lobster and lemon) a pickle, soda and coleslaw. The lobster was tasty but there wasn't much of it. The coleslaw was refreshing and flavorful. The pickle was salty and sour. Overall pretty average. The service was quick and the wait staff was nice! Also the place itself was clean and modern. Am I glad I tried it? Yes. Will I go back? Probably not.

Probably the worst lobster rill I've had. Sorry! Nothing about it was good. No favor, expensive at $28. Pretty much bland taste. I have no idea why this was on my list for Seattle.

Had to try the famous lobster roll while i was in town. Didn't have a line when i walked which was good because i was in a time limit. Got my food right away. The roll was really good i was impressed on the taste the bun was nice and tasty and the lobster was seasoned right. The pickle on the side gave it a nice touch. Woupd patronize again.

First time in, cousins recommendation and will DEFINITELY be back! We ordered the Connecticut roll of warm lobster in butter, the Classic which is cold lobster and bowl of lobster bisque. The rolls are FIRE at $24/roll. Next time in would skip cup of bisque and try a seafood salad instead. If you have not been you should GO!!

Delicious lobster rolls, friendly service! My husband ordered the bar harbor, which comes with extra lobster, including the tail! I ordered the regular Connecticut style lobster roll and it was delicious! Perfectly buttery and toasted. We split some tater tots that were just okay. My husband also had the lobster bisque and thought it was just okay. We went back a couple days later and this time my husband ordered the lobster grilled cheese. He said it was the best thing he's been able to try in the menu.

Until today, I had never had a lobster roll but had always dreamed of one. Even though it's a bit pricey, I think it was worth the experience! The restaurant was empty upon arrival and we were kindly greeted by a staff member. I order the bay harbor Connecticut roll. The lemon butter was great and not too lemony. The bread was super good. The lobster needed a little salt but was so good. The restaurant was clean and easy to find.

Situated across from the Seattle Art Museum, Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls serves up northeast-style seafood sandwiches. I got the classic roll, which is lobster & mayo on a nice buttered crispy bun. The lobster is soft and salty and quite refreshing, helping to cut through the richness of the butter and mayo. Mine didn't come with a lemon but my friend's did, so a little squeeze of lemon is highly recommended. Pretty well-priced for the amount of lobster that you get. I felt full but not stuffed after eating. Also comes with a pickle and free water inside. About $25- $30 including tax and tip. Quick counter service, clean interior, a bit of a silly seaside hipster vibe. Minimal vegetarian options, mostly sides. Nothing looked vegan. It's lobsta :P

I love that Seattle got lobster roll places. I'd tried the other and it was time to try here. Went with the typical roll with extra meat, it was skimpier than the other but good nonetheless. Pricing sameish so I would say the other place is the better deal, but if you only have this one it would do just fine.

Very very good! We came across this place because Pike Place Chowder was closed...what a lucky find! I ordered the Connecticut roll, my friend ordered the classic roll! Delicious!!!! We tried the New England clam chowder and the lobster bisque...both fantastic! I would've loved a bread bowl, but I will definitely be back!!!

Ordered lobster rolls for delivery. Got the Bar Harbor which is essentially more lobster meat. The roll itself was delicious and the lobster was great! Would also recommend the lobster bisque (next time would add lobster pieces). I preferred to be overwhelmed with lobster and this is the place to go! How many times can one say "lobster" in one review without sounding like a fan girl! Mason's is a must try in Seattle!

After walking around the Pike Place and Harbor Steps, we didn't want to deal with long lines so came here for a quick lunch based on the reviews. We had the classic lobster roll, BLT lobster roll and clam chowder. Everything was delicious. The price was reasonable. The place is very clean too.

I had a Bar Harbor classic roll served warm. The "Bar Harbor" refers the size and gives you 50% more lobster meat. Totally, totally worth it. The lobster roll was excellent. The sandwich with tax will set you back $30.87. But, I was full and would do it again in a heartbeat when I'm ready to splurge on another lobster roll. I had another lobster roll a couple days ago from a competitor and there was no comparison and the quality of the meat. It wouldn't be fair to judge the quantity because I paid to have mine upsized and I could've done that at the other place too, but didn't. They also offer to serve the sandwiches cold or an a salad base and have shrimp rolls for 15 bucks too. The chowder was nothing special. Skip it. They also have grilled lobster mac & cheese and lobster grilled cheese sandwiches along with a couple sides of potato chips, potato salad, and tater tots

We were in downtown for a show and this was near by. My husband found it and we decided to try it for lunch. First, skip the tater tots. They only have an airfryer/oven and the tots are cheap and frozen. My husband ordered the BLT and I ordered the Lobster Salad sandwich. I much preferred the Lobster Salad over the BLT. But both were good and the bread is probably what made these. The lobster was ok, but in general I am not a huge fan. We would definitely go back and next time I would order the chowder or bisque to give those a try.

Customer service literally was amazing! We were a group of 6 trying ALL the foods we could while walking up and down downtown Seattle and made a quick pit stop after an underground tour. When I asked if they could split a roll for us 4 ways, not an eye batted, just a simple smile and said most definitely! Ended up cutting it in three ways because he was afraid the roll would fall apart. Everyone was super helpful and there wasn't any sense of sloppiness here. E 10/10 recommend. Oh! And the warmed lobster roll with extra lobster - I am literally salivating remembering our experience! Also tried the lobster bisque-I wasn't a fan but my husband loved it.

I was wandering around and looked up lobster rolls, this was mins away from where I was. Decided to stop by since reviews were good. I ordered the Connecticut roll $22.. it was good, they don't skimp on the lobster. This is the basic roll for me who doesn't like mayo.

This place is in the heart of downtown. They had a variety of different lobster rolls. The place is small, with a very few tables and chairs. Honestly the lobster roll was good, but it was not worth $20. I am a person who gets fulll fast and though it was stuffed with lobster it did not fill me up how I expected it to. Some rolls come hot and some rolls come cold. I think I had the BLT Roll. Which was delicious overall. 7/10 because of the price and the quantity

Yes it's pricey but your in the heart of downtown Seattle next to The Four Seasons Hotel and it IS lobster. The small yummy classic of just melted butter w/ warm fresh lobster is $21 on a small but delicious butter lightly toasted bun. Doesn't come with anything but a combo of beverage and a side ( slaw, tots, etc) is $5 more. We also got a bowl of lobster bisque which was creamy delicious $7, and tots, decent nothing special. Stick with anything lobster, yummy.

After a long day on bainbridge island had to stop here to try the lobster roll. The staff was friendly and service was quick. This sandwich/roll was very delicious I was expecting it to be dry but was not. Super moist so delicious I wanted to take some home. The lobster Mac and cheese was yummy. Not too salty and not too creamy. Most places are opposite so I was happy that this was just right. We were able to get a seat but it's pretty small inside so when it's busy be prepared to stand and eat or eat else where . Great location if walking around town. Definetly heading back here again.

I got a lobster grilled cheese and a new England clamp chowder. The chowder was some of the best I've had. The grilled cheese didn't have a lot of lobster in it. Overall, the food is good, just portion sizes small.

I've had lobsters rolls before, and I wasn't impressed and the lobster bisque taste like runny Mac and cheese. Didn't really have a strong lobster taste. Big chunks of lobsters for the rolls but kind of flavorless.
