Great little place, is a great gay club with great service and clients seems to be a over 40 of age vibes. Drinks are quite pricey but I find the place as a great way to start your night when clubbing. The staff are friendly and the DJ's are good. Great fun . They do not serve food and no disable entrance.

We have been here during Eurovision Week, and we were looking for a Eurovision party and found a great place, great people and nice stuff, and a drug DJ, thank you for a great evening. 🦄 🌈

So glad we found this gem of a place in Liverpool. We had a brilliant night out singing, dancing and laughing so much my jaw and sides were aching! The owner Ian was so accommodating and sorted us out with a table and chairs. Both the acts that were on (Soul Sisters and The Gangsters) were brilliant and Daniella Mantrapp keep us entertained through the evening. Every member we encountered were friendly and helpful from Jake the barman to Richie and Craig on the door. We will most definitely visit again when we come back to Liverpool. Thanks so much for a memorable night.

Had a great night here after the first Eurovision semi final preview show. The DJ played all the best Eurovision music, including Loreen, Luke Black and La Zarra. Good value drinks too.

The Masquerade is known as Liverpool's Gay Quarter's friendliest bar, and it's certainly welcoming. It offers some quality drag queen entertainment as well as being perhaps one of the busiest bars around, even on nights where everywhere else is quiet. Known locally as 'The Mazzie' just in case you get confused looks when discussing the Masquerade with groups of Liverpudlians, it's centrally located and there's a great community vibe to the place. It's owned by a couple who live in the area and know Liverpool like the back of their hands. It's definitely the sort of place to come if you like a down-to-earth bar and plenty of chatty banter.

Masquerade is a gay bar....a very, very gay bar. The campy chatty clientèle and basket of free lube next to my table made this really quite clear. There's no golden-thonged stallions pole-dancing around the place but part of me thinks that's only because of the economic downturn. Booming to classics from ABBA and Dolly Parton, this smallish downstairs bar isn't the best place to chin-wag with mates, what with the fact you'll be deaf sixteen seconds after walking in, but if you need to dance alone in the middle of the day with your bottle of Irn Bru WKD, I can think of no more suitable spot.
