Yelp
It appears that this is the first review. Well, let me ruin it for myself and let you in on a little secret...this is a place worth checking out. It doesn't look like much from the outside - across the street from a rundown looking Tropical Hut spinoff...and it's by far not the only Ethiopian Restaurant in the hood, but you open the door and you cross the threshold into another place. There is a fog hanging in the air, with an aroma of Eastern incense. Some locals are hanging by the bar just chit chatting. It's boisterous and yet quiet in the main seating area, like nobody's seen a non-African before, like nobody's left a Yelp Review here before...but you sit down and the matriarch of the establishment comes and drops off menus. But the obvious choices are to go for the Vegetable and Meat combo and what's brought back after moments are a colorful panoply of delicious saucy lentils and animal proteins to dip one's injera. Soak it all up, and finish off with a complimentary coffee which is robust and sweet. The server points out the tray of sugar to add, but it needs none. You'll leave satisfied with a lingering memory of the art you just ingested...that is, until your next visit.
