A truly lovely place to stay. The staff are super friendly, the breakfast is wonderful (and good value at 16 euros per person), the bed was insanely comfortable and our room was very quiet. The Masseria is beautiful, we wandered around the fruit orchard and the olive trees and played basketball on their tennis court! Pool is enormous and it's never very busy. Nothing is a problem! Oh except for our first day, when we visited the pool bar and were excited to see granita on the menu. Sadly, we were told by the manager very seriously that 'it's too cold for granita now, we've moved on to cappucino'. That's fine for you - but I am the customer, I'm on my holiday and it's 27c! Almost every other cafe was still serving granita. And if you are no longer serving it, maybe take it off the menu? The only other disappointment was the lack of any kettle, tea or coffee making option in the room, which I haven't seen for years and was missed dearly. But the pros more than outweighed the cons - this is a charming and luxurious place with really lovely people and perfect for a relaxing retreat.

The Masseria Della Volpe is a beautifully renovated hill top estate with stunning views over olive groves, orange trees and local farms, surrounded by a colourful and sympathetic garden. We stayed in a 'classic' room off the front courtyard which was very comfortable and conveniently placed. The swimming pool and surrounds are stunning and the meals delicious. It felt a very special place. All the staff were very helpful and I strongly recommend a stay here if you wish to visit Noto and Syraceuse. It is also very convenient for the Unesco heritage hilltop towns of Ragusa, Modica and Scicli - perfect for Montalbano fans!

A gorgeous hotel in every way. It felt like an oasis, with beautiful grounds and views all around. The Belvedere at sunset was stunning and we were so glad we took the short walk through the grounds. Agree that the pool was fantastic and perfect to do some laps - so relaxing to spend some time poolside too.|Our room was so comfortable with a balcony overlooking the gardens and views to the sea (some distance away!).|A perfect base to explore the surrounding cities - we had a wonderful time! |We ate dinner in the hotel - staff were so friendly- however I did find some options restrictive (I don’t eat meat) and although it was delicious and well prepared, was rich for every evening - that is down to my personal taste however!

Lovely hotel set in the middle of an organic citrus and olive farm, that you can visit at will! While we visited off-season, the property was still immaculately maintained. The restaurant is good, with lovely service. While you really can let go at the Masseria, you are also 30-45 minutes away from some lovely towns and beaches! Adding to the charm are Whisky and Mattisse, the resident cats/troublemakers, that will provide the entertainment during breakfast and dinner ! Two small points could be improved: 1) it would be nice to have a coffee machine in the rooms and 2) the booking system is confusing, as you need to book a specific rate to get the welcome drink and free spa access, but at the same price as the breakfast only rate. The GM was generous in this case to extend the offer to us and we were happy to visit the very nice sauna!

The hotel is wonderful - has the best pool I have ever seen. We were in the smallest room and it was still large, clean, airy and so comfortable. The Staff are charming and the spa is exceptional! It's a very good value hotel. The pizzas (lunch menu) and pasta are really very good but the only negative comment would be the rest of the menu was not good. Too fussy and a waste of Italy's perfectly simple, delicious ingredients. Had we been there for more than 3 days, I think we would have gotten a bit fed up of the same, inadequate dishes but as mentioned the pizza and pasta (that we stuck to!) were very good and overall this place is well worth a visit. Also very near beach and the town of beautiful Noto. I would return.

Be aware you must have a car or be prepared to pay exorbitant prices to go offsite for dinner. The town of Rossolini is at most a 7-10 minute ride and it cost at best 60Euro.It is absurd. That being said the property is well designed and well appointed but ask an upper level room where you will have a panoramic view, we had a very nice superior level room that was supposed to have a garden view, it was in fact a view of the car park and driveway. It is a beautifully maintained property with a nice staff and relaxing but remote.

This is a very special place - a real paradise. The pictures arguably do not do it justice - it has a certain ambience that is really unique. We stayed there last year and just had to return this year. The grounds are absolutely stunning and immaculate as are the views. The pool area and bar/restaurant are truly luxurious.|The staff are all very welcoming, friendly and helpful - in fact we found that of Sicilians in general. We booked directly with the hotel having used an agent last year. This made everything simpler. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Rossella - she organised transfers to and from the airport and car hire from the hotel, massively reducing that stress!|It is a great base too set in a beautiful part of Sicily - rolling hills and much quieter than the area around Etna and great links to other places. It is hard to leave the grounds though given how peaceful it is in the pool area which is never too busy and an excellent bar and service. San Lorenzo beach is 15-20 minutes away and is incredible with Caribbean style sand and really great food in the Agua beach club - again the hotel booked us a prime spot. Ortigia is a must see - likewise Noto and Ragusa Ibla. Incavo in Ispica does a great pizza - again the hotel recommended and booked the table. |The breakfast buffet is fabulous and a bit dangerous as you find yourself eating about five courses - you won't need anything much for lunch but their Caesar salad at lunchtime is superb. |Dinner is excellent too - the fillet steak on the barbecue night was out of this world. The restaurant overlooks the pool area and hills and sea in the distance. Very nice service, food and wine. |We also had a massage - maybe the best we have ever had. |We have found a real gem and we need a good excuse to squeeze a visit in every year!
