My spouse and I recently stayed at your resort and dined at the on-site restaurant as part of our honeymoon trip. We would like to begin by expressing our sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality we received during our stay. Your staff were exceptionally kind, and the thoughtful attention given to us as honeymoon guests truly enhanced our experience.
However, I would like to bring to your attention an incident at the restaurant that left us feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. One of the female staff members — wearing thick-rimmed glasses and with her hair in a ponytail — treated us noticeably differently compared to other guests. While she offered after-meal drinks and served them personally to others, when we asked whether coffee or dessert drinks were available, we were told that none were offered.
To make matters worse, when we received our bill we were charged €14 for a glass of wine we had ordered at €7. Although I do not necessarily believe this was an act of discrimination, the experience was nonetheless upsetting and left a negative impression on our otherwise enjoyable stay.
We truly appreciated the resort overall and would consider staying again in the future. However, despite the quality of the food, this experience makes us hesitant to dine at the restaurant again. As this was our first visit to Puglia — though we have traveled to Italy many times — we were especially disheartened by the treatment we received from this particular staff member.
I am writing to you not only to share our experience but also to kindly request an apology for how we were treated. We hope this feedback can help improve future guests’ experiences as well.
