"In this restaurant decorated with modern furnishings, the attention is drawn to the picture windows offering fine views of the La Morra hills and the surrounding countryside. Here, the cuisine prepared by Massimo Camia and his daughter Elisabetta includes classic favourites from the chef’s much-loved repertoire, such as the delicious rack of lamb beautifully presented on Luserna stone and served with a barbeque sauce, as well as other elegant dishes, including a few fish options. The excellent selection of Piedmontese cheese is also worth a mention. The chef’s son, sommelier Iacopo, skilfully and enthusiastically guides guests through the encyclopaedic wine list which includes an extensive choice of Barolo wines and other local labels." - Michelin Inspector
We stayed at both the Locanda and the Ristorante for 2 nights and 3 days. It was our last accommodation in Italy — and it gave us the happiest memories of the whole trip.
Thanks to the incredibly kind staff, we were able to relax and feel completely at ease.
The pool was private and perfect for enjoying family time, and the facilities were spotless. The rooms were much nicer and cozier than I expected — everything felt warm and welcoming.
We had dinner at the restaurant and went for the traditional course. The flavors weren’t flashy, but maybe that’s why it felt more comforting and easy to enjoy. The pairing with the wine was just right — really satisfying in a quiet, lovely way.
Thanks for making our 2025 family trip to Italy even more special. And that little surprise gift at the end…🥹 It was such a thoughtful touch — we’ll treasure it for sure. Already dreaming of coming back !🌸🤍🌿

We made a last minute dining reservation to this Michelin Starred restaurant. Expect a good mix of traditional Piedmontese cuisine with a light modern touch. The food, service and advices given by waiters and sommelier were all excellent. Wine selection is great and there are some very very affordable good bottles , I was very surprised.
Excellent value for a Michelin Starred restaurant in the Piedmont.

PRO'S: Massimo Camia is a stunning restaurant, one of the best in Piedmont. Excellent, food, wine & service. We had a 3 course lunch served with three different wines and enjoyed it. This was our second glorious visit to the restaurant.
CON'S: None.
SUMMARY: Massimo Caria is worth a special trip to dine when in Piedmont.

It's ok.. and there are better ones. Quality of the products is definitely impeccable, combinations rather traditional and sometimes quite off (like a raw langoustine with avocado.. the art of killing not enhancing a subtle flavor). Service was great until it was around 2300.. if you tell them twice you'd like to finish your wine before having a coffee and they already start serving the friandises to go with the coffee without the coffee that is outright wrong. If you're in a hurry (quite some tables still with guests) let us know, this is not ok.

I had an amazing time with my family. The chef had no problem in making a full vegan menu for my wife. The staff and chef were very friendly and helpful. Also outstanding selection of wines. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Massimo Camia takes Piedmont traditions such as plin and tartare to another stratosphere. This restaurant is a must stop, along with their neighbors Damilano winery, on every visit to the Langhe hills.
