Very high quality and delicious gelato but poor organization and below average customer service knock it back a couple stars.
You need to tell them how many scoops total at the beginning and pay and then receive a ticket. You then show the ticket to the second person who you tell your exact order to. This unnecessarily slow and awkward process seems backwards to me and created congestion and confusion. Surprising for a culture that seemingly thinks of everything. There was a line out the door and almost nobody inside... On top of this, the flavors they have did not match what was on the big board that everybody looks at while they wait. You decide what you want, then after being told it's not correct, you have to crouch down and go down the case and read each flavor before making a new decision...
All in all they have a top notch product, the coconut was memorable and the pistachio and nutella were special. If they simplified and subsequently sped up the process (order what you want, receive product, pay at the end) and updated the signage, and had a slightly friendlier staff, this would easily be 4-5 stars. But until that happens it's just average cabbage.
