Massimo Gelato

Fantastic Gelato. I've had a few around town and this one has been my favorite so far. The gelato is creamy and flavorful. The servings are also very generous. There was a long line when I got there. A good sign if you ask me. Fortunately it wasn't a long wait as they had a good system to get people in and out quickly. I highly recommend getting your gelato or sorbet fix here.

There is a very long line, but it's worth it. We got strawberry, passion fruit, milk chocolate, lemon sorbet, mango and tiramisu, pistachio sorbet. My personal favorites are pistachio, passion fruit, tiramisu, and lemon, but the others are also very good. The staff is nice. When we entered, only one person was assisting, so maybe the number of staff could be increased.

Incredible pistachio gelato. Chunks of fresh pistachios throughout. Not too sweet. No artificial essence or colouring. We went every day during our one week trip, it was that good.

Absolutely worth the queue on a busy day, as this places serves some of the best ice cream I have had (definitely recommend the passion fruit sorbetto!) with very friendly employees. You can eat your ice cream outside on one of the benches while watching people pass by, ideal spot!

Authentic gelato in Amsterdam and the best snack to help you cool off on a warm, summer day. The place is small so queues are likely to form but it's definitely worth the wait. The staff are friendly and the portions are extremely generous. Will definitely come back for more.

Totally worth any wait you might have. The line moves pretty fast. I’ve not had gelato like this outside of Italy. It’s legit and amazing. None of that fake stuff. The employees are skilled with the service too. There’s an art to scooping gelato, and they know how to do it. Highly recommend pistachio and chocolate caramel salt. The espresso was impressive for not being the thing they specialize in. Ordering tip: at the register where you pay first, just tell them how many scoops in what vessel. Then when they scoop it tell them what flavors.

There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. I tried the chocolate caramel, pistachio, and tiramisu gelato. While it was okay, I found the serving size too large and overly sweet for my liking, and I wasn’t able to finish it.

The hazlenut is amazing and the mango was also good. 7 euro for 3 scoops. Service was a bit slow and the waitresses were in quite a chaos. We had to wait 15mins. There's seating places outside.

I enjoyed the gelato here! It is a very small place with no seating but there is a little standing space. The staff were all friendly and I got to try flavors I might like.

Amazing gelato tucked away from downtown! First, they have the metal tins which is a good sign of excellent gelato. They also have so many flavors and most of them are super good. I got the pistachio and flavor of the week which is yogurt with berries. The pistachio is comparable to what I got in Italy, so that was a nice surprise. My friend got strawberry and milk chocolate. The strawberry was just ok so I would stick to the other ones.

Super neat spot with tons of selections! The person really knew alot about each of the gelato and their flavors are delicious. I had to come back and get 2 more scoops. The flavors pistachio and Latte were exquisite together. I am definitely returning a few more times!

We wandered in midday Friday to no lines and were treated to perhaps my favorite gelato I have had the pleasure to taste. The pistachio was so full of flavor and the dark chocolate was DARK! None of that milk shit....thanks Massimo!

Long lines for great gelato. I think the passion fruit is my favorite.

While visiting the Netherlands for over 10 days, I literally ate gelato/ ice cream every day and attempted to taste it from different places. I must say this place was by far my favorite. The gelato tasted amazing, you could tell the ingredients were all so fresh. They allow you to sample different flavors and my favorite had to be the ricotta and caramelized figs. My friend wanted to try the white chocolate raspberry, but we were told that it was no longer available so she opted for the lime sorbet and melon sorbet. Wish I would have found this place on the earlier time of my trip because I would have definitely stopped by several times.

It is just in front of my favorite Pizza place. No best way to end up a great pizza experience with a great ice cream right after and here they know their stuff. It is quite a big shop, not open till late but just the right time to enjoy it. They have some chairs outside but anyway they are two step away form the park where you can continue enjoying your ice cream :) Great selection form the most traditional flavors to the weird ones. They have also yogurt ice cream, which is not one of my favorites but still it adds to the selection and choices. Service is really nice and welcoming. Not too pricey.

When I was searching on Lonely Planet, I found this gelato treasure. I ordered cheesecake with berries and combined it with dark chocolate gelato. Wow. I will definitely be coming back. Such a cute and quiet neighborhood sitting outside enjoying my gelato.

The spot for gelato. Homemade with great coffee & super nice staff & owner. Stop by after a meal at foodies down the street.

Delicious vegan chocolate gelato. 3 euros for the 2 scoop you see here. Cone is not vegan so I got it in a cup, a little sad about that, not the full experience but at least I saved a few calories I guess.

I'm not sure what they put in this gelato, but it puts a lot of ice creameries and gelato joints to shame. I had to have the 2 scoops 'cuz 1 scoop would not be enough.....tiramisu and the nutella....heaven!

I got a cone with chocolate and cantalope ice cream. Prices were pretty reasonable and the ice cream is delicious.

I love the hospitality at this gelato spot! The staff are super kind and personable. The vegan chocolate gelato was absolutely delicious and was the perfect treat to end my day without going over-top-gluttonous with a dessert. Loved it!

Very high quality and delicious gelato but poor organization and below average customer service knock it back a couple stars. You need to tell them how many scoops total at the beginning and pay and then receive a ticket. You then show the ticket to the second person who you tell your exact order to. This unnecessarily slow and awkward process seems backwards to me and created congestion and confusion. Surprising for a culture that seemingly thinks of everything. There was a line out the door and almost nobody inside... On top of this, the flavors they have did not match what was on the big board that everybody looks at while they wait. You decide what you want, then after being told it's not correct, you have to crouch down and go down the case and read each flavor before making a new decision... All in all they have a top notch product, the coconut was memorable and the pistachio and nutella were special. If they simplified and subsequently sped up the process (order what you want, receive product, pay at the end) and updated the signage, and had a slightly friendlier staff, this would easily be 4-5 stars. But until that happens it's just average cabbage.

While traveling in Amsterdam we would plan our walk home to stop at this gelato establishment. Every flavor you could ever want. Like heaven when it touches your taste buds. The most delicious gelato in the whole city- you must go. We love the chocolate, walnut, walnut + cheese, hazelnut, and Nutella.

This little shop is going it if the tourist area and had authentic gelato. Awesome!! The place is very quaint and not somewhere you would expect to visit. Worth the 20 minute walk!!

Scoops were smaller than I'm used to but were the perfect size. Cost was completely reasonable: 1.50 for 1 scoop, 3 Euro for 2 scoops. Ordered pistachio and milk chocolate - delicious, not overly sweet. My family also ordered salted caramel and licorice. A hit all around. We went at 2100 and there was a line out the door. Would definitely go again.

Excellent gelato. You can get a small for just 1.50 which is just enough for a small snack. All flavors are natural with real fruits/nuts, etc blended in them. So good!!They also have great coffee.

We were on a food tour and our guide took us to her favorite gelato stop. We found a number of sorbetto flavors to choose from. We chose strawberry, chocolate, mango and raspberry. Definitely tasty if you are in the area!

I have had many gelatos in Italy and elsewhere, and this is truly the best I've ever tasted. Amazing.
