Massimo’s Restaurant in Fremont is a well-known local favorite that’s been serving the community for years. It’s centrally located, making it a convenient option for both weeknight dinners and special occasions. One of its strong points is the ample parking — a welcome relief in the busy Fremont area. The food at Massimo’s is solid and satisfying. With two drinks, one appetizer, and two entrees coming to around \$120 before tip, it’s moderately priced for a sit-down meal with good portions. The menu leans classic American and Italian, with reliable staples like steaks, seafood, and pasta dishes. The cocktails are well-prepared, and the appetizer selections, though not adventurous, are flavorful and well-executed. Where Massimo’s falls short is in ambience. While the restaurant is clean and well-kept, the décor and overall atmosphere feel a bit dated and lack the charm or energy of trendier spots. Still, it’s clear that locals appreciate its consistency, friendly service, and familiar menu. If you’re looking for a no-fuss dining experience with quality food and easy access, Massimo’s is a dependable choice. It may not wow you with style, but it delivers on comfort, convenience, and hometown appeal.

my wife and I came here for the first time to celebrate an anniversary. we made a reservation. the hostess was initially going to sit us in the lounge area. seriously, why would we make a reservation if we wanted to sit in the lounge with TVs going🤦🏻‍♂️? Easy to resolve cause the place wasn't busy. It's a very nice place. Our server was good and food came out at a good pace. For Italian it's a bit pricey but overall ok. My wife and I both had the specials. the lasagna for her and halibut for me.and we shared the soup. we'd likely come again but it's certainly not an itch if you get my meaning.

Decent restaurant. Thought it was a little congested. The bread basket was quite nice and so was the crostini with crab and artichoke dip. Entrees were ok. Crème brûlée was good

Wow wow wow wow, this place is amazing. We had a 50/50 shot at having Italian, on one side of the street was Massimo's and the other side Olive garden. Thank goodness we chose Massimo's. What an amazing place. The ambience, the service, the food come with a live music this place is a great place to take a client to take your significant other, we had such a good time. We ordered the bolognese, Petrale Sole, drinks and Sorbet All of which was incredibly tasty, hot and enjoyable. The service is incredible, our waiter was just amazingly attentive, watched our table recognize when we needed something he was there Johnny on the spot, the food was incredible, they had live music which just really set the tone for the whole night. Highly recommend you check Massimo's out, we will definitely be going back. 5 out of 5 stars. Can't wait to go back and have the bananas fosters made out our table.

Wonderful wonderful everything was great! Highly recommended we had our company Holiday dinner there and it was everyone's 1st time and the food was amazing!! The decor beautiful, customer service was awesome the even coordinator and owner made sure it all went smooth we all had a great time! Thank you! (See you next year!)

Everything about this wonderful place is five stars ~ from the comforting flavors of 3 Michellin star Chef Massimo Bottura , to the welcoming face of our server, Sunny, to the soothing, recessed lighting surrounding cozy booths. It's so reasonably priced, too that we can come every month: especially because if you come in January for your red envelope: two years in a row now we've gotten the "one free appetizer a month," which is just what we wanted ~ something to bring us back to this family restaurant month after month. Massimo's isn't just a restaurant to me: it's like a vacation to Italy, a retreat from the stresses of life, a romantic getaway, and memories of sitting around the family table with all of my Italian relatives making and eating delicious food, all wrapped into one. I love this place so much. Thank you to everyone here for all that you consistently do.

Haven’t been back to dine in since the pandemic started - they’ve made changes to the decor, there’s now open spaces between the bar and dining room which brings a nice lively environment to the dining room. Ordered table side Caesar salad 🥗, I’m a huge fan of dinner and a show items like this, this style of showmanship has been going away over the years in many restaurants and I was glad to see that they were still performing it!! Bananas foster isn’t being offered any longer :( but wouldn’t take away any points on the rating due to this. Had calamari steaks (reminded me of a all time favorite dish of mine scalone steaks (scallops & abalone) with delicious mash potatoes and fresh green beans with carrots & clams and pasta (their were a ton of clams on this dish it was delicious!!) When we were done and got the check, we scanned the QR code on the check and we were able to pay via Apple Pay!! Service was fantastic, Food was delicious, Company amazing!! Stay Safe out there and God Bless

Google
Had a reservation but still waited 45 min for a table. Filet and new york strip steaks were good not great. Mashed potatoes were warm and hard on the outside. Deserts were fair. Creme Brule topping was barely caramelized even though we asked the wattress to do this. The whipped cream on all the dessert tasted like it was made with sour milk. We told the waitress who went to the kitchen and then came back and said that it was bad! Despite this, there was no adjustment on the bill. We had 5 adults and one child and still paid almost $80 a piece.

Yelp
It was a hidden gem that I found to celebrate my husband's birthday . We wanted something quiet and unique and closer to home. Beautiful ambiance.Loved the colors of the interior and we could have a conversation without the background noises that you encounter in other fine dining places. Our server Sunny was super friendly too. The food was delicious and flavouful!!!

Yelp
Got the linguine vongole, which included so many clams on the outside of the plate, and then many many chopped up clams on top of the noodles... I should've known immediately that they're probably not fresh. I paid for it over the next 36 hours on the toilet. The service was a bit weird too. Rushed but friendly but also not friendly?

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary. Super cute restaurant. Feels very intimate. I love bread and butter! The service was a little slow. The vegetable soup tasted a little bland. I got the bucatini pasta and added prawns. The pasta was great but I was a little surprised that there were just three prawns. The complimentary tiramisu cake was delicious. It had the right amount of sweetness.

Yelp
The food is super good. From outside this place looks like hole in the wall kind of place but once you taste their food, you regret nothing. Food's cooked to perfection. Salmon came out perfectly cooked and ravioli was very soft and delicious. The deserts we had were ooey gooey great! Service is good. Will go back again.

Yelp
I mean is the food good. Yes. Service was amazing. Would I say that the food was amazing. No. It was a very expensive, decent meal. The bread is delicious! And they make a great martini. Definitely a high end feel.

Yelp
Food was ok. Service was ok. Ambiance was ok. The price is ok too. So I can't really complain but I don't think I'll be going back.

Yelp
This is our second visit to this restaurant. Both have been for seminars sponsored by our financial advisor. The meals were held in a private room with an audio/visual capabilities. It seems like both times, I had the same meal. We're offered a choice of Steak, Salmon or Vegetarian. Both come with a separately plated salad and finish with dessert. The salads are well composed and dressed. Too bad we ate them before I remembered to take a picture. She had the steak and said that it was quite good and tender. I had the Salmon and it was quite tasty as well. Both entrees came with Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Veg. Warm bread and cold butter was served after everyone was seated. I did not see the vegetarian dish but some diners said that it was a decent and interesting eggplant dish. The only real negative thing I have to say about the meal was that all of the butter that they served was straight out of the refrigerator and rock hard. Next to impossible to spread on warm bread or on your steak. Service was adequate but could have been a bit better. I was not offered a refill on my soda during dinner or nor coffee after dinner. That could be due to the fact that it seems like two servers had to handle the 34 diners and they could only run out what they could carry at one time. It might be good to invest in a rolling cart and plate covers so everyone can be served hot food at the same time without putting the servers at risk for an injury. I was curious and looked at their online menu to see what all else they had on offer. It didn't seem that the banquet offerings are part of their regular menu but we're still considering going down and giving them a try some night.

Yelp
I love the carbonara and lasagna. We eat here year round and we love the prefix meals during the holidays.

Yelp
Another great evening at Massimos. Elegant decor. Food is always done to perfection. We could hear live music in the bar area, and it would have been great to have some space for dancing. The waitress was a little rough on personal space.

Yelp
Odd Locals and bar flys who know each other. Asked about a table of one knowing OpenTable was fully open and the host seemed confused then pointed me to the bar. I wanted to eat there anyway. Service was almost nonexistent but I was able to get a glass of higher end Cab. Big TVs at the bar and above the fireplace so everyone can catch the game instead of enjoying the company if their family and friends. Haha. Carpaccio hard to tell you the quality and flavor of the beef as it's drenched in balsamic. There are some onions and a small amount of capers then a lot of shaved parm and more balsamic. I prefer it simple. This is too much. Lasagna not for me. It's not dry but there's a drying taste to it. No hint of sweet in the sauce and the cheese is thick. No balsamic. My first glass of wine was empty for some time including a clearing of the balsamic. When the lasagna came and the bartender walked away I asked for a glass of Merlot. A carafe came out to refill my cab glass. Missing the attention to detail.

Yelp
My colleagues and I attended a conference held here at Massimo's and I have to say the food was actually quite impressive. Located in a large shopping plaza, Massimo's offers plenty of parking although I would be cautious on the liquor store side. Upon entering, you'll see a long hallway with a few rooms to the right hand side. Restrooms are located on the left hand side and they are gender neutral single person stalls. The room our event was held in was quite dim with sub optimal photo taking lighting. The projector made it easy to watch our slideshow presentation with a few hiccups trying to get the audio to work properly. Now onto the food, the preset menu featured appetizers to share, choice of salad, choice of entree with one vegetarian option, and one dessert. The appetizers were great starting off the meal with calamari, bruschetta, and fried zucchini. The bruschetta was really the standout dish among the three with its buttery toasted bread and acidic yet juicy cuts of tomato. * Caesar salad - This salad was refreshing with the crisp romaine lettuce and creamy Caesar dressing. The croutons were a bit too large for my preference but still a great starter item. *fresh baked bread - this bread comes out hot with a side of salted butter. You really can't ask for more than that. 10/10 especially when toasted hot. * filet mignon medium rare - This steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare I have to say. The steak itself was tender, seasoned well, and had a nice seared edge. Honestly, its the best filet mignon I've had in a long long time. The mashed potatoes were fabulous- decadent and garlicky. The vegetables were a bit greasy but cooked well otherwise. * tiramisu - this was perhaps the downfall of the preset menu however, the rest of the meal made up for the dessert. The tiramisu was quite average in taste. It tasted more like store bought tiramisu that had been sitting in the fridge for days at a time. It was so soggy and lacked that thick creamy mascarpone topping. This was a sad excuse for tiramisu. If you have the option, choose the cheesecake. You'll thank me later. Service here was top notch. The waiters were professional, courteous and kind. They refilled our waters and cleaned our table inbetween courses. Massimo's exceeded my expectations with a fantastic pre set menu full of quality made dishes. The food presentation was fabulous and the filet mignon was better than most overpriced steakhouses I frequent. I would skip the tiramisu next time and opt for a different dessert item.

Yelp
Nice menu and good service. I get the mushroom risotto every time! Just can't bring myself to switch it up.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with my parents and we were very satisfied with our experience. We ordered: 1. Fried zucchini 2. Crab and artichoke dip 3. Some tomato based pasta (forgot the name) 4. Chicken piccata 5. Filet mignon The appetizers (1 & 2) were both good, and they also brought out complementary bread (with free refills), we got pretty full off of these before our entrees even made their way to us lol. The pasta was very tasty, even my parents who typically do not like tomato-based sauces enjoyed it. The chicken piccata (4) was a hit with my mom, it came with 2 huge pieces of chicken, some veggies and mashed potato. Lastly, the filet mignon (5) was nice and also came with the same sides. We ended up having a lot of leftovers since we did over-order a bit. But the food was tasty, nevertheless. This is definitely considered one of the more fancy restaurants in Fremont, so the prices do match, but I think it is worth a try if you are looking for some good Italian food.

Yelp
I grew up in Union City and Massimo's has always been a Tri-City area staple. However, although I have admired this restaurant for years, I never dined at Massimo's until last night. The decor was so nice and cozy, and the hostess was very, very helpful. The wait staff were all cheerful and easy going. My friends and I sat in the bar ordered non-alcoholic drinks and a few appetizers. I looooved the ambiance, the food and the service! The bar and seating area around it was packed out. People obviously know about this wonderful restaurant. It was the perfect evening.

Yelp
Great venue to perform at. Beautiful room and great acoustics. Food is amazing and the staff were very professional. Check them out and you won't be disappointed. - DJ Joe of Thump Sound D.J. Services (Dublin)

Yelp
The food was really good. The staff is very friendly, and offered a great service. And the ambient in the restaurant is very pleasant.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night for some live music, drinks and banana fosters. Got seated next to the sweetest old couple who introduced us to the owner as well. Incredible service and vibe! Truly a local gem.

Jennie K.

Yelp
It's sort of hidden in a shopping center. They allow small dogs. The other night was our second time. Our first visit was when a friend chose this restaurant for the spouse's comfort meal. Service was attentive. We were seated in one of their side rooms so it felt cozy and private. Per the menu, bread is on request. From the Ocean Small Plates, we had the Calamari Prawn Fritti. For the main course, we had their lasagna, pork chop, and filet mignon. Everyone was happy and satisfied with their selection.

Mary N.

Yelp
This restaurant is on another level. The food and service here is excellent. They now have happy hour Thursday to Sunday. The bartenders make amazing drinks as well. I honestly try to come in at least once a week. It is also a great place to host an event, small or big.

Susan N.

Yelp
We chose to have our Thanksgiving dinner at Massimos. Our dinners were outstanding as usual. The service is beyond outstanding. We look forward to enjoying dinner at Massimos because of the staff. Suneet and David are our favorites. This is the only restaurant in Fremont that is the place to go for special occasions or just when you look forward to a gourmet dinner.

Yelp
*LOCATION* This restaurant is in a plaza right off of the 880 freeway, next to the Lucky's supermarket. The entrance is kinda hidden and hard to find but maybe because it was nighttime when we went. Plenty of parking right in front. *WAIT TIME* We made a last minute reservation (~30 minutes beforehand) on a Thursday ~7:30pm for Restaurant Week. A hostess greeted us when we arrived and we were quickly seated. Our waiter came by with waters and gave us some time to decide our orders. *FOOD* -Minestrone: lots of veggies, yum! -Massimo's Meatball: the most delicious meatball with marinara sauce, tastes exactly like spaghetti and meatballs! -Breast of Chicken Picatta: we thought the chicken was a lil on the dry side and a tad too lemon-y in our opinion, risotto was good though! -Double Cut Pork Chop: v tender pork chop paired nicely with the port and cherry sauce (perfect amount of tartness), creamy buttery mashed potatoes, this dish was the star of the night! -Tiramisu: super creamy and not too sweet -NY Style Cheese Cake: loved the strawberry coulis, tastes as you would expect! -House red & white wine *SERVICE* Great service from the moment we stepped in to the moment we stepped out! *AMBIENCE* This restaurant is a great place for a date night or celebratory meal. We loved the fancy-feeling atmosphere and the classy vibes.

Yelp
AMAZZINGGGG FOODDDD AND SERVISE IS OUT OF THE WOLRD We jave been coming here dor last 20 years and tonight I thought to write a review This is one of the best place to eat in Femint or in bay area if you like italian food We love this place

Yelp
If I could eat there everyday I would! Food is more authentic and taste like homecooking. definitely more of an upscale family dinner. Our wait staff are attentive and friendly. Some days they have live music, I would go their for a nice date night with a special someone or friends.

Yelp
Wonderful from beginning to end. Started with Caesar salad, served table side. Veal chop entree was server suggested & was delicious. No room for dessert, a good thing. Our server was wonderful. Massimo's casual elegance is a definite plus

Yelp
They were accommodating for our big work group and we kept changing the size of our party. Service was quick and someone in our group asked for some more Parmesan and they gave us the whole bowl!! I had the chicken Parmesan dinner which came with pesto risotto and I asked and they make the pesto without nuts which was so nice. They normally sprinkle nuts on top but held them for me. The chicken was tender and not massive. Just the right size. I would have liked a little more mozzarella on top but was very satisfied. It is a nice sit down restaurant so higher prices but the quality was worth it. Appetizers were good and it seemed the desserts were a hit. A couple of people got the flambé.

Yelp
Massimo's continues to deliver exceptional dining with outstanding food and aƩenƟve service. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The restaurant's ambiance was casual elegance. We were given time to look through the menu. Our orders arrived quickly and were delicious. The calamari was the best we had in a long time (which we ordered as an appetizer whenever it is available while dining out). It was crispy and tender, done just right. We shared a wedge salad which the waitstaff was considerate in serving on 2 plates. The halibut was fresh and tasty, and the pork chop was cooked just right, with the cherry sauce giving it a nice flavor. Throughout the meal, the staff was very attentive to our needs. So glad to see Massimo's has maintained the high quality for both their food and service.

Yelp
Parents come here frequent, and they always get a table at the Bar. No waiting that way.. Service is always Great. Decent Wine Selection. Beer is ok for most. For me they need more IPA's and or Micro Brews! The Food? Can't go wrong with any of the Entree's, Soups & Salads. They are always pretty Good.. Great place to go if you looking for that Old School Vibe.

Yelp
12/31/2024, New Year's Eve dinner. We made reservations a couple of weeks ago via Open Table for 6:30PM. We arrived on time and were immediately seated. Since it was New Year's Eve, there was a fixed menu and several seatings throughout the evening. We added the calamari appetizer and they were delicious. We both had the lobster bisque; it was not very hot and disappointing in flavor. My wife had the egg plant, I had the risotto. My wife said her meal was "just okay". My risotto dish was outstanding! It had great flavor and lots of delicious ingredients. We both had the chocolate cake for dessert...excellent! We both had a cocktail before dinner and both were very good. I had a glass of the Frank Family chardonney with my meal...excellent pairing. With the multiple seatings for the holiday, the service was a bit rushed, however, the owner did stop by to say "hello". Note 1: there was a medical emergency during our seating. EMT and Fremont police responded and transported the dinner to the hospital. Note 2: we never got any bread, unlike our fellow dinners! That kinda bugged me!

Yelp
Massimo's is a Fremont classic. It's Fremont style fine dining and that's all good, especially for a family celebration. We recently celebrated my mom's 79th birthday with our group of 8 and it was perfect. Reservations are easy to make and modify on open table, which I had to multiple times that day due to changes in plans. Since my mom previously signed up for the birthday club, we used a voucher for a free entree (or take $25 off). Super easy and generous. My mom loved the halibut special and she's picky. The risotto with scallops and sausage is flavorful and rich. It's a must try. The eggplant parmigiana was good and not overly breaded. Cocktails were reasonably priced. I am a Fremont local and appreciate these well established spots. It's a cozy elevated restaurant (mood lighting and linen table cloths), but not stuffy. The bar area is somewhat casual. I have been here in then past for my own birthday dinner, mom's past birthdays, and a casual catch up with a girlfriend dinner. This may just be our go to for family birthdays!

Yelp
Pass by Massimo's many times and finally decided to give it a try for an early Father's Day celebration. Service is awesome throughout the dinner and good ambience as well. The inside is much bigger then what it seems from the outside. We ordered the following dishes: 1) pork chop 2) filet mignon 3) new yours steak 4) baked salmon 5) spicy Italian sausage & sea scallops risotto Overall both meat dishes is a bit bland. We were informed by the staff that the chef preferred to lightly seasoned the meat so you can actually taste the meat. Our fave dish this evening is the risotto - tasty and can do without the scallops. We had the Calamari, Cajun shrimps and crab & artichoke dip. All good nothing special. Overall good place.

Yelp
Always enjoyed coming here for dinner came from San Jose area. Food and service always spot on. No complaints tonight until I met the owner/manager, Bill. He needs classes and customer service totally off base. Never again will I be able to enjoy this place.

Yelp
We passed by this restaurant several times thinking that we should try it. We stopped by right about opening time and they had ONE table. So, I suggest when going to make a reservation. We noticed that most of the folks seemed to either know each other or know the staff. I would say that the majority of the folks we saw seemed to be used to coming for many years. The staff were pretty incredible in how coordinated they were. So, service was great! And the ambiance was that of a fairly upscale place. It was large enough that they had a band in the patio area. The food was decent, but seemed to have some items on the menu that were not Italian, and we both found that the food we had was not as Italian as we have had before nor is as reminiscent of Italy as some other places. For the halibut, there was not much sauce, the pasta "aglio olio" was really just some olive oil over quite Al dente pasta (what happened to the garlic?), and the herb crust was not as 'herbed' as we have had it before elsewhere, it was breaded though interestingly, and the fish was slightly over cooked. The risotto was so heavy it was hard to eat, but was super flavorful, although it did not seem to be prepared as well as I have had it before. It was so heavy that I was quite unable to finish it. The deserts were ok. The crème brûlée had its sugar crust a bit burned, and the tiramisu seemed to use just standard squirt chocolate. Overall a bit pricey for the actual meal and given it wasn't the most Italian, but there was definitely a stable clientele.

Yelp
NY Strip with mashed potatoes and veggies -3 stars Caesar Side salad - 4 stars House Side salad - 4 stars Bread and butter - 4 stars Have really enjoyed Massimo's in the past but not as good as it used be. We arrived about 15 minutes before our dinner reservation and were told our table was not ready, ok no problem we can wait. Then a few minutes later a couple showed up for their same time reservation and were seated immediately. My wife asked why we were not able to get seated when we showed up first and was told "I marked your reservation with a specific table and we have to wait for the party to leave." Wait what?! Our table was locked into a specific table we have to wait how ever long it takes people to leave. I thought the point of a reservation was to get seated next at the time you show up. Whatever, we got seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time. The inside of the dinning room has gone through a recent renovation and looks great. And I love that they put wall outlets above the booth cushions with usb plugs. If you need to charge your phone after a long day at the office bring the cable in with you. Not old style classy but updated to meet the needs of the guests. Service was ok overall, excellent from the bussers and just ok from the waitress. We ordered the NY Strip dinners - Medium Rare. And a couple of side salads (Caesar for me and house for her). The side salads were great. The steaks were lower grade meat than expected. Not like I am expecting a perfect cut at this price but mine had 3-4 oz of rock hard gristle that I couldn't even chew through. Steaks had zero seasoning and large dollop of frozen solid butter. We put the butter under the steaks so it could melt to give some flavor. And asked for steak sauce which rarely do. The steaks were cooked correctly at medium rare with a good sear. While waiting for our entrees to arrive we heard another couple ordering steak. The hostess and server were recommending "at this place I would only order steak well done". I will never order a steak "well done" and not sure why the hostess recommended that. Why order burnt steak known to cause cancer in your stomach? I would just not eat steak. They no longer offer bananas foster here which was our favorite dessert, so asked for the check. On the check I noticed that we were charged full price for entree salads ($15 and $11 respectively) but ordered and served side salads. At my wife's request we paid the check as listed and I gave a tip better than the service received. Glad that Massimo's survived the pandemic, the renovations look great and always a packed place. Next time we come in though I will drop my expectations a little as this is not same place it was.

Yelp
Go-to spot for special occasions. Had a fantastic anniversary dinner here last week. Went for the Fremont "Restaurant Week" Special menu. Steak was cooked as requested. they allowed me to substitute the mushroom sauce that I wanted. It was outstanding! Had a great Zinfandel with the meal that paired perfectly. Sides and cheesecake dessert were solid. Our waiter was excellent! Friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. My wife is vegetarian and loved her Bucatini alla Vodka, lemon drop and Tiramisu. We left very satisfied, and will be back!

Yelp
Always great food and great service. Even when the restaurant is sold out, they've found a way to fit us in. Our preference is the bar area but no matter where, we always find polite and responsive servers. Favorites are the Crab Artichoke Fondue (we get this every time we eat here), the Double Cut Pork Chop, the Filet and although I prefer meat the Eggplant Parmigiana Lasagna is incredible. Oh and the bar tender makes a spectacular Traditional Manhattan. Massimo's is a fine dining experience and so yes you may pay a little more but not as much as some overpriced steak houses. We've eaten here 50 or more times and each time we go we're excited for the food but also knowing we'll be satisfied when we leave. Expect leftovers (nice portions), especially if you get one of their awesome desserts.

Yelp
This is our first time coming here for a meal and our brother-in-law suggested for my sister's birthday. It was easy peasy making reservations on Open Table and the service was attentive and excellent! Parking is easy as there is a private lot. We had a nice table and the place was busy but not noisy. I understand they remodeled it about 3 years ago and it looks very comfortable and relaxing. We ordered the fried calamari and it was crispy and light and not greasy! The bread was brought out nice and hot and tasty. We ordered the warm spinach salad, veal scallopini, eggplant parmigiana, grilled petrale sole and linguini vongole! I liked the spinach salad but I should have ordered it with dressing on the side as it was alittle tangy. I enjoyed my linguini vongole (with clams in red sauce) as the portions here were hearty. All the food came out pretty quickly. For dessert, our server brought out a complimentary tiramisu for my sister and we shared it. The service was superb as they changed our bread plates as well as helped us box our leftovers.

Yelp
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner here at the beginning of the year on our first visit for a 5p Reservation on a Tuesday: phenomenal burger & delicious ribeye with buttery mashed potatoes, then scrumptious mud pie. Service was excellent also and the bill was reasonable. It was truly an enjoyable dinner experience. We returned recently on a Saturday evening for a birthday dinner with a party of 8 for a 5pm reservation. Immediately we were disappointed to learn that the menu had changed and neither the burger or ribeye were on it. Drinks were strong, service was ok (only 1 server for our party of 8 - Omer did his best while also servicing other tables) but the disappointment was the food: it was just ok, and didn't warrant the price. Our party ordered oysters, calamari fritti, beef carpaccio, bruschetta, chicken parmigiana, chicken Marsala, crab spaghetti (which was NOT spaghetti noodles and the size of a kids meal) WTH?!?!) fettuccine Massino, and artichoke & spinach ravioli with prawns. Bananas foster (2 orders) made table side was even small portions for the price. I'm honestly not sure if we'll return.

Yelp
I came here with my husband to celebrate Valentine's Day. Crab and Artichoke dip was good, crostinis were a little crispier than preferred. LOVED the Winter Risotto, and will definitely be coming back for that. My husband loved his Rigatoni Ala Massimo, the sauce was delicious. Star off for our server. He wasn't very good at all, and did the bare minimum. Then when the check was dropped he decided to finally interact with us and make small talk. We will definitely be back, and hopefully have a different server.

Yelp
This is actually one of the nicer places to grab a bite to eat here in Fremont. I highly encourage you to order the cheese ravioli pesto is easily my favorite dish. I don't really eat seafood or beef, but my friends really enjoy the vongole. Get the tiramisu!

Yelp
I would really give this place 3.5 stars but rounded up to 4. I came for an oncology nursing society dinner so it was a set menu of a few appetizers: fried zucchini, Cajun shrimp, and the tomato and basil bruschetta. I would pass on the fried zucchini and the Cajun shrimp but the tomato and basil bruschetta was very flavorful-- the best appetizer of the 3. I then chose the filet mignon with a wine reduction sauce that was on the sweeter side. The beef was very tender but I felt the sauce didn't go as well with the meat. It was good but not amazing or excellent. The mashed potatoes were amazingly buttery and the vegetables were just okay. For dessert I had the cheesecake, which again was just okay. Overall, it was just okay. Very grateful for the pharmaceutical company for providing a free and educational meal though.

Yelp
Finally got around to trying this spot out after passing by for so many years. Made it a special occasion since it looks like the type of place for special occasions. Had a party of 8 and came in right at open. We had reservations so seating was no problem. I wish I had photo's of the food because it was delicious. I remember some of the party had fish and it was tasty. Overall experience was good with a couple of huh moments but nothing to really call out specifically. Prices are fair for the portions. We'll be back to try it again especially since I didn't take any pictures of the food to show fellow yelpers.

Yelp
My family took my sister for her bday dinner back in April & we LOVED it! Everything was perfect! The service was great, the hostess & a busser (I believe) helped take pictures of my sister & I. They helped us get the perfect lighting for the pictures & took some for us. Our server was great also, she helped me decide on a great dish, we all loved our dishes. Thank you, David, Fara, Edger & Sonny. (Sorry for waiting so long to write this!)

Yelp
Great service, tasty and well presented food. Bread was fresh and desserts delicious. One of the few places in Fremont that I will recommend without any hesitation

Yelp
This place was alrightttt, if you wanna dine in somewhere nicer this place is okay, definitely better upscale restaurants out there. The food was mediocre, the specials weren't amazing. But the service was nice, good people.

Yelp
First timers and our food was fantastic!! The lamb and the chicken (from the alfredo) were so incredibly tender and yummy. The mashed potatoes were an amazing smooth texture, not chunky like other restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The bread appetizer was also so fresh and soft. Our service was amazing. The waitress was professional as well as friendly and attentive. We always forgot about Massimo's in Fremont but this is easily one of our new favorite restaurants! Cant wait to try a few other things on the menu! We will definitely be back

Yelp
This is yet another case where I wish there were half-stars. There were so many things wrong and yet so many things right! Service: friendly but definitely on the slow side. On arrival, we were kept waiting awhile by the hostess stand without acknowledgement, but there were profuse apologies when we finally were noticed. Dinner service was a couple beats behind what we would have preferred. It was nice not to feel rushed, but had to wait awhile again at the end for the check when we were overstuffed and ready to leave. Atmosphere: very comfortable seating with big, plush roomy booths in a classy dining room. However, the dining room is open to the bar area and there was a sports game going on with raucous fans cheering loudly throughout our meal. This seriously detracted from the ambiance. Food: overall good, but I was a little disappointed. We shared the Crab & Artichoke Fondue; it was okay, but I couldn't really find the crab in it. I chose Fettuccini Alfredo with grilled prawns for my main course; the prawns were perfectly cooked and had a really nice smoke from the grill, but the Alfredo sauce was very bland. Even topped with pepper and extra Parmesan, it tasted mostly like a creamy white sauce without any tanginess. Overall, I think the place would be worth a return trip. I would probably choose different menu items.
