WHAT A DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE! I have no idea why this place has 4 stars on google. Will not be coming back ever. This was a bizarre experience. The server was so rude and was practically making fun of our friend. Our service was so bad, the server did not come to check on our table at all. We were charged $6 for WATER. Waited more than 30 mins for our food. Never asked if we wanted more water. The calamari was bland and oily. Server got our food wrong. The food runner brought over our food and we let her know it was wrong. Server comes back with the same dish and didn’t say anything until we mentioned again that it’s the wrong order. Did not apologize nor did she offer to rectify it. The Diavola pizza was soooo salty, greasy and soggy. The gnocchi did not look like the picture and definitely did not contain fresh mozzarella like it says on the menu. The sauce tasted like store bought pasta sauce. Not only was the food disappointing after a long wait, the service was the worst service I have ever experienced in my life.

Google
This was my 2nd time at MAST (went for pizza before which was AMAZING). This time I was in a group and we all had non-pizza items. The salmon was partially raw, unfortunately. The service was great.

Google
We went on an EXCEPTIONALLY busy Saturday night, it was our first time here and not really sure what to expect. Service was a little on the slow side but all the staff were very nice. My fiance got the chicken parm which he said was the best he'd ever had. I got the Cacio e pepe which I'd never tried anywhere before, it was very good, lots of pepper if you like pepper! We couldn't decide on an app so we decided why not try a pizza--we ordered the O Mast' which was excellent. Everything we ordered is pictured here. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items!!

Google
This place has amazing pizza. Perfect Neapolitan style. We ordered the funghi and parmigiana. The base soft and not chewy, just perfect. The marinara sauce was the right amount of tangy. Eat it while it’s hot.

Google
The atmosphere was unbelievable. All the staff there was extremely nice. It took a little while to get our food, but it was worth the wait. I had a pasta dish, which was very good. However, I recommend ordering the pizza. It is the best pizza I've ever had.

Google
I was very pleased with my experience here last night! Our server, T, was very personable and made several recommendations on the wine and food. We ate a LOT of food and it was all very delicious. I would definitely recommend this spot for amazing Italian food! I wish I took more pictures of the food we ordered to share but we had a pizza and the cannelloni plus dessert and wine. So, so good!

Google
Hostess was very nice and took us to our seats immediately. It was a quiet Thursday night. Took a long time for our server to greet and take our order. Ordered, food came out from a food runner in a reasonable amount of time and had a good presentation and portions were perfect for no leftovers. The chicken parm was excellent, the pasta carbanara was not. Something was off, it had a funny aftertaste. Server didn't not check on us after food was brought out. She was seated about 10 feet from us speaking with coworkers. I had to interrupt her for refills on drinks. She didn't clear off appetizer plates before main course was brought out. Furniture needs updating. Seating is in disrepair and not child friendly. They charged for soda refills.

Food was absolutely delicious and server was very friendly, attentive and helpful.

Yelp
Tried this place one night for dinner since it was close by. Not a huge place and you have to go up stairs to the upstairs dining room. They have a big garage door rep that was opened and we had a good breeze. I have to say that the service was spotty. The manager or owner was great but our waitress was lacking. Manager had to take our drink order after sitting for a while. We ordered our food and she never stopped back for refills but gave us our bill. I had the Cannelloni and the wife had a margarita pizza the food was good, decent portions.

Dan S.

Yelp
This is AUTHENTIC Italian pizza. This is no california whatever someone made up stuff. Try the Napoli pizza if you want great flavor and don't mind anchovies. It was amazing! The depth of flavor with the olives, garlic, melted cheese, oregano. Beautiful. My wife had the Saporita with homemade sausage and broccoli rabe. It was very good but she liked the flavor of the Napoli even better. She also got a gluten free crust. It was the best gluten free crust that she had ever had. I had the regular crust with my Napoli. I rarely eat pizza crust and I ate every bite! The service was good. The staff smiled and was very helpful.

Yelp
Horrid experience. I would never come back here. I am shocked that their doors are still open. Service was so slow, server was rude, and food was so bad. Server got our food wrong and didn't offer to make it right. We would have probably needed to wait another 40 mins anyways. Our server ignored us when she was spoken to. Took about 10 minutes for our bill to be delivered even though there was nothing on our table. Our water was never filled and was also charged for water. Calamari - bland, oily, the color was almost white, very few pieces for $17??? Pizza - oily, sopping wet and overly salty Gnocchi - no herbs or mozzarella, sauce tasted so bad that I would prefer Ragu from the grocery store. Looked like it was microwaved. Not sure why it still took so long though. Nothing at this restaurant made sense. The hostess and food runners were kind though.

Santiago B.

Yelp
Good and service both were great. We were seated within 5 minutes. Make sure you order the mushroom pasta it was incredible. So well cooked and full of flavor

Florence K.

Yelp
I got the Mast Fireball and it was decent. It wasn't the best pizza I've had. The portion was really big though and I could only finish half. My friends did finish theirs but they have a bigger appetite. For a Monday night, the service was pretty slow. We had to ask for additional water several times throughout the night.

Lauren R.

Yelp
Went here with a group of my coworkers for lunch and it was the perfect spot for a nice day! We sat on the patio outside which was beautiful. We got a couple glasses of wine, some appetizers, sandwiches, and cacio e pepe. My sandwich was awesome and so were the apps. My coworkers said they weren't in love with the cacio e pepe but it was decent enough. Overall, this place hit all the right marks for me and I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
tl;dr Salty af pizza, gnocchi didn't match menu description and inattentive and half ass service from staff, everything was mediocre at best I really did not enjoy my experience here at Mast. It was pleasant at first, we got seated a bit late cause we had to find parking but the host seated our friend who arrived there first which was super nice. Water options given to us were flat or sparkling only, $6 a bottle. The calamari app was only a small portion with little to no squid inside. She then took our entree order a couple moments later. My friend wanted to order the Pappardelle ai funghi. Our server then said, "it's fung-ee, not fun-guy." She continued to joke around on how my friend is a type of person that likes to take a while to order and peruse at pictures first to see how the menu item looked like. We put in an order for the Diavolo pizza, gnocchi alla sorrentina and funghi pasta. When we were handed over our orders, they got my friend's order wrong and gave us the funghi pizza and not the pasta. We asked them to check on this, and then our server came back with the same plate of pizza, and dropped it off without saying anything at first. We asked again what happened, since we tried to clarify that we ordered was the pasta not the pizza. She claimed that all she heard us say was "funghi"and didn't hear anything about pasta, so she basically assumed that it was the pizza without clarifying with us. She did not apologize but asked us if we were ok with it only after we looked super hesitant on taking it. We just took the pizza and ended the issue there and didn't really wanna say anything more since we were all super hungry so we digged in right after that. This is our review of the food. The gnocchi did not match the description in the menu, it was missing the basil and fresh mozzarella. Second, the Diavola pizza was very salty and oily. I felt like I was drinking ocean water with every bite I took. If we weren't super hungry, I don't think I could honestly stomach that. The funghi pizza was okay, could be better. She didn't once come and ask us if we needed more water. The whole time she never came by to check in on us, until we were close to finishing our food. I asked her why didn't the gnocchi match the description in the menu and showed her a pic online of what other customers have ordered before. She then proceeded to say that the pan it came out on was super hot that it was burning, so she didn't want us to get burned?? She almost got burned, so she moved our gnocchi into another dish for our safety. I then asked why did ours not come with mozzarella. She was like, "oh yeah I noticed that there wasn't any mozzarella either. I'm sorry the kitchen downstairs does everything, I don't really know." I understand that servers can't control how the food is made in the kitchen. What gets me is that she told us she was the one that transferred the gnocchi from the pan to the plate and implied that while she was doing so, she noticed that there was missing mozzarella, and was like oh well the customers can deal with this kinda attitude. We continued finishing whatever we had left cause at this point, it was useless bringing up anything to her. I didn't appreciate that she did not give us a good reasoning or solution to the questions that we asked, especially when she got the order wrong. I never really had a bad dining experience like this one and it didn't encourage me to come back here ever again. It was not a service well worth my money. I felt that there were so many ways she could've handled it better. We ended up taking pics of our food after we ate a bit, since we were hungry, but I hope it gives some context.

Yelp
Wanted to try some Italian but did not want to drive to far. Decided to check this venue and while the decor and ambience were very good the locale did not produce good food. I want to add that service from the beginning to end was good. There was a good aura for a date. Which made it a tree star review. Not to mention the hospitality fee added to the check which was unexpected. Now onto the food. I ordered a Margherita pizza and while the taste was ok, the pizza lacked tomatoes and basil. The oil was a bit too much. Additionally I ordered the spaghetti carbonara. Having tried that in Italy, I can say that it needs more work. The pasta was somewhat cold and the sauce was a bit sticky. I want to add that the menu does offer all sections of an Italian menu; however, the dishes are limited and not common to what we mostly expext. I think that such deterrant can be the reason for ordering the pizza. I would suggest you read the menu prior to going there and determine if this location is right for you.

Mike K.

Yelp
We started with a pizza to try (we heard it was authentic). The pizza looked great and was okay but disappointed with the low quality of the mozzarella cheese. The green mixed salad was large and fresh. The Calamari appetizer was okay- glad they still use whole calamari and not just rings- but was oily tasting and the portion small. The linguine with clams was good, nice presentation and simply done, the portions on the small side. The lasagna "bolognese" came in a crock dish and was tasty but couldn't really find any meat in the dish. Deserts were good. Coffee was offered as expresso or Americano only. No milk was available which was ...strange? Our waitress was sweet and kind and management gave a lending hand which was good to see.

Criss R.

Yelp
This was a pleasant surprise. We couldn't get reservations anyplace else near our hotel. Although the restaurant has little ambiance, the pasta is homemade and the pizza is the only certified Napolitano. My salad was too big to finish and the prices are fair The pizza maker yelled at a waitress for bringing pizzas to wrong table but it was justified. It only added to the charm. lol

Merlyn R.

Yelp
I visited Mast with some coworkers and had a lovely evening! There's an extensive drink selection and a large menu which left everyone satisfied. The service and staff were quick and friendly, and the food was priced well for the quality. My personal favorite is their pizzas and the tiramisu for dessert. I will definitely be back!

P S.

Yelp
Decent food, nice ambience, excellent service - Mast is good for a quick work lunch. I like that it is a bit off the main DTX streets so it isn't so crowded at lunchtime. The food is solid, nothing to write home about but it'll fill you up without cleaning out your wallet (unlike the sandwich shop across the street!)

Megha U.

Yelp
Crappy service, we were given water in dirty glasses 20 mins after we were seated and the waiter argued with us they were clean glasses till his manager came and apologized Veryyyyyy slow service. Food is just ok, nothing great for the prices charged.

Nanelis V.

Yelp
Cute restaurant with an outdoor seating area. Pasta was delicious and fresh. Dessert was rich and tasty. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Yelp
The food and drinks were pretty good. We sat on the patio and I think our waiter forgot about us. We waiting for about an hour to get served

Yelp
First-timer at MAST' and I have to say, they are Mast'erful in all they do. From being attentively greeted and seated as soon as I walked in, I knew slacker-servers could never survive here. Observing from the bar, as I dined, it was clear that MAST' runs like a finely tuned machine that pumps out an array of fantastic food and beverage. I don't eat meatballs out much, I'm a snob for mamma's only, but gave their Polpettine a try. They were delicious, as was the red sauce that accompanied them. Next was the Rughetta, an arugula salad with blueberry vinaigrette, goat cheese and roasted almonds. The portion was tremendous and felt like it did the body good (eat fresh fruits and vegetables every day and you'll live long, like the Italians in my family do. Truth!). Now, for the main reason I came to Mast', the pizza, but not just any pizza, the only AVPN (Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana - The True Neapolitan Pizza Association) certified in Vera Pizza Napoletana in Massachusetts (translation: you don't have to go to Naples to get authentic Neapolitan-style Pizza, Chef Marco Caputo will save you the airfare). After reviewing the various varieties to choose from, I decided to go all-in on the Porcini Pizza - Porcini mushrooms, sausage (crumbled, the way I prefer it), Gorgonzola, Fior di Latte mozzarella, generous amounts of shaved parmigiano, and last, but not least, the most important part of it all, the pizza dough, that was a truly amazing "stage" for all the flavors of the aforementioned ingredients to perform together. Yes, I did eat all this food plus 2 Peroni's, a Sorbetto di Limone in a frozen lemon shell and of course, an espresso (I passed on the usual double because I have an early flight tomorrow). All-in-all, I was blown away by it all - the atmosphere, the staff, the patrons and, of course, the food. Say this 10 times fast and you'll never forget to visit MAST'... "WHEN IN MASS., MAST' IS A MUST!"

Eliana V.

Yelp
Was not impressed with this place. We waited for about 20 mins before we were waited on, same thing happened to several tables around us! Wait staff did not seem concerned with how we felt about our food or if we wanted refills. Food was average and not worth the price! Wait staff sitting on phones right in front of guests. Could have been a better experience! We are from out of town and were looking for a more authentic Italian experience. They should advertise this place differently so people aren't expecting something that they won't get!

Lindsey B.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and now one of our favorite restaurants in Boston! The homemade pasta and chicken, pizza, and drinks were all phenomenal... We went on our honeymoon around Rome and Sorrento, and have not had such similar and incredible Italian food since.

Felicia H.

Yelp
Pasta was kind of over cooked. Tiramisu was very creamy & I couldn't eat all of it. Alphonso, the manager, was very nice and came to check on us regularly - had great conversation with him. However, the waiter was pretty slow and took a while to take our order. O'mast pizza (not pictured) was very good and I would come back only for that.

Kate S.

Yelp
Very underrated spot. Food was amazing! Octopus was cooked so juicy but the mashed potatoes under was another level. Unlike any other ones i had, had bits of actual potatoes to make it feel like quinoa aas hidden inside. Highly suggest. Pizza was so good too! Been craving margherita for a while, and when i left, i was feeling left sad bc i want more! Pizza crust is so soft too perfect to save and dip in olive oil. Make sure to try their nutella martini! (Slightly floral so it wasnt for me bc i like nutty nutella more)

Stella H.

Yelp
It was not busy, service was sooooooo slow. Drinks were watered down almost? Pizza was good, pasta was ok.

Brigid C.

Yelp
Firstly- there should be an option for negative stars. Because this place would get all of them. Instead I am positing one star, when it actually deserves zero. I am so incredibly disappointed in this restaurant. Our dishes were tasteless and petit after waiting an hour and 40 minutes for them to come out. When we asked to speak to the manager (Alfie) he was extremely rude and condescending and accused us of wanting a "freebie." He stated that the wait staff should have given us a better warning about the kitchen delay (how would that have made it better?) and that our server deserved no tip if she didn't do a better job of explaining that the meals would be delayed. The conversation left us feeling so shocked that someone in his position had such horrible customer service skills and treated the staff so badly. I cannot express enough how upsetting the lack of resolution was on our night out and how frustrated we feel for being treated so poorly.

Ariana V.

Yelp
Great location and fun atmosphere! My parents, husband, and I all came here for Boston Marathon weekend as a carb load Sunday evening before race day. We actually all ended up ordering pizzas, which are Neapolitan style and very well done! I was sticking to the basics, so ordered a Margherita for myself, but they have a wide array of pizzas to choose from. There were also other menu items, like pastas and entrees, but we ended up just getting the pizzas and dessert. The pizzas are definitely small enough for one person as a main or maybe two people as an appetizer. For dessert, I got the chocolate lava cake, which was okay. The inside wasn't the molten chocolate lava I was expecting, but it was still very good. I'd definitely recommend this place as the atmosphere and location are tough to beat in downtown crossing! The staff were all very attentive and kind.

Sonya F.

Yelp
Pici funghi e salsiccia, this dish was amazingly good. We stopped in for a meal after the Wine Expo. Every bite was delicious will be going back to try other dishes. Staff was friendly & pleasant they let you relax, talk and enjoy your food & drinks. We also tried the Expresso Martini it was so good dessert in a glass.

A T.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town and after a long day of walking I wanted Italian food but was too tired to go to the North End. That was a mistake. I wanted to like this place, but the pasta was so overcooked it was like mush. I did not try the pizza but they looked better so maybe it is ok for pizza. Service was good.

Ryo Hanalei Z.

Yelp
This place was a block away from my hotel and I was in the mood for some Italian food. Inside, I can see there are two levels and there was a host at the top floor looking down and he let me know that there were no tables available but I could have a seat at the bar. No problem. I was greeted by the bartender & a few of the waitstaff, I must mention that everyone who was working were super friendly. I was hungry and started off with the Arancini & ravioli stuffed with ricotta & Swiss chard in truffle butter. I was given a couple of pieces of what seemed like pizza dough and balsamic with olive oil. At first glance it didn't look to appetizing but the bread was soft and was good with the dip. The arancini was hot and crispy and the center was soft and cheesy. The tomato sauce was a little underwhelming for me. The Ravioli was super good. Tasty buttery sauce went well with the filling. I ordered pizza as my main dish, the Porcini mushroom and sausage. It is a white pizza. The pizza tasted good though I should've asked for the pizza to be cooked a tiny bit more as the crust was too soft to hold up the toppings. Over all, it was still good. I think I'd like to come back here and try some of the other dishes. The customer service here is great & the vibe of the place seems friendly. If you're in the area, give this place a try!

Mel U.

Yelp
What's not to love about this place? Their calamari was super crispy, their fried pizza is TO DIE FOR and their lasagna....mmm, so rich and creamy. Can someone please recommend a great Italian place over here in the Bay Area because we still think about the quality of the food in Boston! Miss it so much. Customer service was great as well, here. Server was very attentive. Kept refilling our waters and would ask how we are doing often.

Beth C.

Yelp
Fantastic dinner. I ordered the spaghetti con vongole and it was perfect. Cute little restaurant and nice patio. I know several Yelp reviews here say the service is slow, but I had terrific service. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back again.

S. W.

Yelp
This review is for a delivery order. I chose Mast because it was around the corner from my hotel and certified by Gambero Rosso. I rarely give negative reviews but this order was completely mediocre. I ordered through the Slice App which I was directed to by the restaurant's website. The order took a long time to arrive. When it came the first thing I noticed was that the pizza box was not even warm. Sure enough the pizza temperature was somewhere between lukewarm and cold. This may be the fault of the delivery service but it was the one the restaurant requested I use. The slices were limp and wet on the bottom. The topping slid off the dough each time I tried to pick up a slice. I ordered a Margherita pizza. The sauce was bland, the mozzarella was melted but still slightly tough and chewy and there were a total of 3 basil leaves on 6 slices of pizza. I also ordered polpette. The meatballs were slightly more satisfying than the cold pizza but the sauce tasted like it was from a can. Bland and under seasoned. The check came to over $40. I would not order from here again. I hate giving a mediocre review but unfortunately, at least last night, that's all this restaurant deserves and, tbh, I'm being generous with 3 stars.

jason p.

Yelp
as I was walking around Boston looking for a nice restaurant to go to this was not it I had a horrible experience. our food was not good the chicken Parm looked frozen and the skin peeled off it was a slow day yet our server took a while to get to us. I expected more would never come again worst restaurant I've ever been to .

Halle S.

Yelp
Great neighborhood spot! Good selection of pizzas and pastas with Gluten free options

Patti S.

Yelp
We went this past weekend to celebrate my son's birthday. Ordered 10 different pizzas, everyone was thrilled. I can't express how fabulous the dough is. The staff of Mast were excellent, accommodating, super friendly. My grandson (18 months) was with us, waiter was entertaining. My son and the owner talked long about italy, the pizza, etc. Food & service A+, would highly recommend and would return.

Andres E.

Yelp
I ordered an OMast pizza and calamri... I have to say that the pizza is wonderful. However, the calamari dish is overpriced for the size. $17 for that amount of calamari, you are better off just getting another pizza for the same prize... I will recommend the pizza but definitely will not get the calamari again. Not sure if the size of the order in the restaurant is larger... but I was very disappointed when I opened the box in my house.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
This was my second time here and so glad I came back. The service is amazing, the management stops in to say hello and the food is perfection. We ordered regular and gluten free pizzas, appetizers, chicken parmigiana and wine. The gluten free pizza is outstanding by far, made fresh in house and not that frozen cardboard crust. Absolutely love coming here, feels comfortable and welcoming and food is excellent!

John G.

Yelp
While the wait staff and owner were very respectful, and they were timely in refilling drinks, the food was extremely poor and flavorless, and could not make up for the overall experience. It was the first time in a long time that a table of 7 each ordered individual meals, and not a single person enjoyed their food. Whether it was undercooked, flavorless, or untextured, it was not worth the price. Our pizza was nearly translucent, and we had to use multiple utensils to pick up the paper-thin base. The rest of our table ordered pasta, which was also flavorless. Too much to complain about.

Stacy C.

Yelp
We are trying to kill some time before our reservation at another place and, to be honest, we didn't know this place was open. When I worked down here a few years ago, Mast was a takeout place. Now, it is an experience! Warm environment. Great service. Amazing pizza. Come here! Support this business. Let's keep these Boston businesses open!!!

Roger S.

Yelp
Mast is an amazing Italian joint to go to for dinner. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The food was amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious, cooked to perfection and hot the spot. Highly highly recommend going here whether it's a date night, group dinner with friends or family, or even just by yourself. Great place!

Sandro K.

Yelp
Meh, haven't felt so neglected at a restaurant in a long time. Even the restaurant wasn't that full, it took forever for pretty much everything and it was not because of the current short staffing. The severs just disappeared to no where from time to time. Maybe they had to help out in the kitchen? We don't know. Food was ok. Mine was cold though.

Yi H.

Yelp
Really great pizza!! Review is only for the pizza - my friends and I ordered the marinara, Napoli, and margherita pizzas. The pizza was wood fired and pretty authentic - crust was nice and charred with chewy texture. A pizza restaurant is only as good as its marinara sauce, and Mast's marinara was fantastic. Service was ok - the place was pretty empty when we went on a Monday night, but the servers only came to fill our drinks once.

Lou F.

Yelp
I think our server was new, as he seemed confused when we ordered (struggled to identify the dish on his tablet, ordered the wrong wine). The food tasted very authentic and good. I ordered the Italian braised rib dish. I would suggest that if a dish is said to be a rib dish, have more than two ribs in it. Still, the pasta with it and sauce was very tasty. I did not leave hungry.

Sterling W.

Yelp
Food is good, very italian. Good ambiance and service. Picture of guy in top hat is good touch.

Matthew F.

Yelp
Such a nice little Italian spot in the middle of Boston. We originally picked this place because they had the igloos outside. However, when the day of our reservation arrived, the restaurant called and said there was a wind advisory and wouldn't be able to seat us outside. A few in our group were still nervous to eat inside, but we were assured no one would be sat near us. The staff were so courteous, going above and beyond to make our group comfortable. But our experience with Mast was made even better by the food. We started with the burrata and calamari, then grabbed a couple salads for the table. We each got a pasta dish and everyone raved over their order -- I got the bucatini which was very flavorful. Would definitely go again!

Ben C.

Yelp
I hate to leave a bad review but the food was not good. If just based on the food two stars would be generous. 4 of the 5 meals we ordered were left uneaten. The service was fine, and the place had a warm welcoming atmosphere. Get the kitchen in order and you'll really have something.

Shayne P.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible. We got the cheese raviolis. Hands down the creamiest ever. Also the pesto caprice unique and yummy. The server was nice and tried to get us bread even though it was later in the night. Very cute and casual yet sophisticated at the same time.

Alexandra K.

Yelp
Really great service from Ahmed & pizza from Gennaro. Despite being the only one running around waiting tables as well as bartending, Ahmed was so positive and friendly and had a great attitude. Will definitely be back for another drink at his bar!

Victoria H.

Yelp
I went with 2 of my friends and I am disappointed. The food was just ok. We ordered the ravioli which was a very small portion, chicken parmesan which was average and I got the pizza which was pretty good. Overall, the food was average. However, what really irked me about the restaurant was the staff. One of my friends had to get up and ask the staff when we needed a second round of water and for the check. The restaurant wasn't busy and the staff was on their phones not being attentive.

Grace B.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this spot late Friday night and was blown away. Authentic Italian food - must try their pizza made in oven from Napoli, incredible Espresso Martinis, great Caesar salad, beautiful bar and dining space, friendly staff and manager. Could not recommend this place more. We will back and bringing friends and family.

Cait B.

Yelp
Food was horrible! Every dish in our party was disgusting. Small portions. TERRIBLE service. Took 45 minutes for appetizers and they came out AFTER our meals. The carbonara tasted like spoiled milk with mushy noodles. Pancetta was like rubber. My friend was told that she just didn't know what real Italian food tasted like Pizza looked good though.. wish we had tried that instead. They also deleted my friends review on Google. No wonder they somehow have 4 stars when they delete bad reviews

Yelp
The pizza and wild boar ragu were so delicious we didn't get pictures before they were gone! The tiramisu was also good. Waitstaff seemed a bit short handed but once the Manager noticed tables not being cleared and people not being attended to it was dealt with quickly. We sat on the patio and the bartender came out to take out order and was very responsive.

Yelp
Today I went to MAST' for lunch. I got their Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, which was delicious. It came with a basil leaf on top, and it had the perfect amount of sauce, basil, and mozzarella. Every table gets fresh warm bread upon ordering. The bread came with good quality olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. The service was fast, and all of the staff were very friendly. They have a wood fired pizza oven, which both smelt good and had some amazing looking pizzas coming out of it. I didn't ask, but I think that they cook their bread in the pizza oven. If I were to go back, I would definitely get the pizza. The chairs and decorations makes it feel like a bar, but everyone was dressed professionally for Friday lunch. It is the heart of downtown and near the state house, so very convenient if you're in that area.
