This was the most disappointing dining experience I've had in recent memory. I knew we were in trouble when we arrived and all diner's coats were stacked on the host stand. We were asked for our coats, then they were deposited on a pile that we had to look at throughout our meal. We would have left then if we hadn't been held hostage by the 100 Euro fee we had to pay to walk in the door.
The service was slow and without regard for the customer on any level. Neither dishes, nor the wine pairings were explained. We sat surrounded by dirty tables and our dishes were not cleared nor were we offered additional beverages. Empty bottles and finished plates were not taken until we asked for them to be cleared.
After 3 hours and 30 minutes of neglect we finally asked for the check before our final course. The request was not met with an apology, inquiry of why this might be the case or reduction in the full bill. It was evident that no one cared about a customer experience and this was confirmed when we saw the owner emerge in the dining room and not notice (or care about?) the state of the dining room filled with dirty dishes and customers looking for attention.
A disgrace before I even mention the state of the toilets - dirty facilitates and cobwebs showed evidence that they had not been attended to in quite some time. Cobwebs happen, but not in every corner without some serious neglect.
This review is 2 stars because the food was very good. We enjoyed the flavors, presentation and attention to detail. This could not make up for what was lacking in the overall experience. Especially being so far from the city center and located in a deserted office park
It's hard to write such a review and I would have gone straight to the owner if he had bothered to address our early departure and clear discontent. I hope this is helpful for future diners.
