"Master of the nets garden" and my way on foot to it - a few outdated, so far season mismatched pics.
It's hard to believe, that this site (today listed as a UNESCO World Heritage) was constructed in the 12th century! Garden's founder was inspired by the simplicity and solitude of a Chinese fisherman's life, depicted in philosophical writings. Six hundred years later another owner, who referred to himself as a fisherman, renovated the place, having retained its spirit, and gave the garden a name: Master of the Nets Garden.
Years ago, thanks to this place, I was introduced to Chinese classic art of garden design. I can tell, why it is considered to be one of the finest examples. Beautifully sculpted synthesis of art, nature, landscape architecture and scenery creates such a unique atmosphere, which literally puts a visitor inside a masterpiece. Strangers, who by chance got into my shots, also blended seamlessly.
