Master Philly Cheesesteak

I tried calling and was met with a rude “who is this?” Followed by a a hang up when I started talking. I’m hoping this is due to some mix up with the phone number listed online. Edit: I ordered through DoorDash. The reason I called was to let them know they should update their photos on there because it looks like a stock photo of Chinese buffet food on a bun (see photo). I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was way better (2nd photo). Food was 5 stars but I’d still go to Grant’s for the best cheesesteak. You can’t go wrong here though.

The food was awesome. Had the Philly cheese steak. It was full of flavor, Nice toasted bread. Service was a little slow as he was the only person handling 2 food carts plus people ordering online. Will definitely visit again if I'm in town.

Found that they make each of their items with vegan substitution! Prices in person are better than online, and the food was actually quite solid. This is a vegan Philly cheesesteak with dairy-free "cheese". The food truck lot is not especially an amazing spot to get food or to sit and eat, but that isn't their fault.

So my biggest disappointment is the sauce. The fact that the 5 Chicken tender plate with fries (Combo) claim that they come with 3 sauces? They came with 2. The 2 were fry sauce (some ketchup based nastiness) and cheese sauce. The cheese sauce i threw away, and i paid for 1 extra (very disappointment)? I assumed that the nuggets came with barbecue or ranch, even the fry sauce, but no. The sauces did not complement the tinders. Another complaint is the fact that my Mozzarella sticks with fries (Combo) had the fry sauce and the cheese sauce. Mozzarella sticks go really well with marinara sauce, not fry sauce or cheese sauce. I reheated them and they were the best that I had ordered. The cheesesteak was blah. Also came with Fri sauce and cheese sauce. No mayonnaise, no ketchup, nothing that I would associate with a cheese steak. They hide the lack of cheesesteak with blah brown colored onions and mushrooms. I wouldn't order it again, but it wasn't bad enough to throw away. Drunk, this would have been a 7/10. But today 4/10. Also this was ordered via door dash. I did not go in person. So not rate in service or atmosphere.

Got a philly cheese steak, not the best, but not bad. It was not the right bread for a philly it was too thick, and the bread was steal. Not enough meat. The place next to it was awesome my husband got a shawrma plate.

What an Amazing place to get Halal Food; very high quality, filling, and comes with many extra sides. I could not be more satisfied. The owners are also amazing! Highly recommend!

Service and everything on point.. Uses a spicy cheese wiz. I personally don't like the can nacho cheese flavor. Im sure the other items as great. No pork in the restaurant as far as I can tell, that could be a valuable aspect for many.

Another great place, I went to the partner food truck with gyros, but it is owned by the same person so it is no doubt the best cheese steak in Portland. Really good service and great food.

The cheesesteaks are good. But they have a peculiar flavor to them. I'd still go back. They're piping hot and the bread is really good. Be warned make sure you check your order before you leave the counter and if you want condiments, check your bag before you leave

This was the only place that was open super late near my AirBnB and since I love Philly Cheesesteaks, I had to see what's up! It took a while to get my order, but it seemed as if they hired a new worker and were showing him he ropes on how to properly make a good cheesesteak sandwich. The person teaching seemed like he had a passion for the craft of assembling and making the sandwich. But needless to say, he did, because it was pretty fire in my opinion. The beef was delicious! Very well seasoned and accompanied by the onions and swiss cheese, the sandwich was to die for! The peppers worked extremely well, and the roll that they used was super soft and toasted as well. The presentation of the sandwich was simple, but you're able to peer directly in and see all the ingredients inside the sandwich. Beef was tender and each bite was a melty, cheesy, burst of flavor in my mouth.

Was trying to hit a place on the Nacho Week list, and while I lucked out on that, I found this gem somewhat nearby (thank you yelp for being able to filter places that are currently open and getting good reviews!). I ended up out here about 10:30pm, and I'm used to places not being open as late as they advertised, but it was easy to find and open. Couple notes, there was a cool Gyro cart next to it, both looked good, but I chose the Philly Cheese Steak. There are tables and covering outside, which was nice to be able to sit and eat without trying to get the food home and hope it would still be hot. When I got there, there were a few people around but it wasn't slammed, and I was able to order right away. Went with the Philly Cheese Steak, and it was pretty good. The sandwich had some real perks, they used day old bread, which is the perfect bread to use for a Philly, it's a little stiff and does a great job of not crumbling with juices. The onions, beef and peppers all had distinct flavor. Is it the best Philly I've ever had? Nah. But is it pretty damn good for a Philly at 10:30 at night? Ya. It was grilled fresh, my food was probably out in under 10mins. The two gentleman working the booth were friendly, and it was $13 for the sandwich/fries and .$50 for a card transaction. For dollar/quantity value, it was very solid. I honestly expected it to be half the size and light on meat, but I was pleasantly surprised on both. One pet peeve of mine is cold/stale/lukewarm ie trash fries. Nothing worse than getting fries and having them just absolutely kill the meal by having to drown them in ketchup or just throw them away but...this wasn't the case here! I watched them put the fries in, and so when I got them, they were fresh, hot and seasoned, which was a definite bonus! They also threw in a couple sauces, it was dark so I couldn't see exactly what they were, but some kind of hot sauce and maybe a cheese sauce? Both were pretty good, I'd definitely get both again.

Really good cheesesteaks. Got two of the classic ones and they were both great. Really quick service too.

Very gross. The cook was not wearing gloves, the place and the surrounding location looked unclean, and the philly tasted bad. I do NOT recommend this place.

Seriously soooooo good!! I got the Chicken Philly Cheesesteak (minus mushrooms) and my boyfriend got the regular Philly Cheesesteak. The sandwiches are huge portions, inexpensive (compared to just about everywhere else nowadays!), very tasty, it's open late, and the fries are included! I highly recommend!

I came having a taste for a burger, but I've always ordered through Uber Eats and got a Philly cheesesteak and it's always tasted good. But this most recent time prior to myself ordering he was getting order after order one through like Uber/DoorDash and then some other people got in line after me (two) my complaint is I never saw him change his gloves or wash his hands that grossed me out touching cards and money then grabbing food to fix from the fridge and then having your buddy at the cart next to you come help and he also did not wash his hands or even put on gloves.

My absolute favorite late night guilty pleasure! Everything here is so damn good, however, my favorite dish is the quesadilla! The meat is so tender and juicy, cheese always oozing out of the sides. The French fries nice and crispy and the sauces it all comes with it a tasty addition. You can't go wrong with this place!

One of the best vegan Philly Cheesesteak subs I've ever had. I ordered it with real cheese. I will be seeing you real soon Master Philly Cheesesteak.

Got a classic Philly cheesesteak and was pretty underwhelming and very basic/ not much flavor for what they're charging.

Not for Philadelphians. I'm not clear how this has a five star rating. The sandwich is large perhaps that's a reason. The menus is extensive especially for a food truck, that may be a reason. It is not for the taste or authenticity of the Philly cheese steak. I only tried the one dish so perhaps the other options have more merit. The cheese steak was flavorless. The roll was large and chewy. The cheese , I was told was Swiss and stuck to the teeth. It was red with I assume paprika. Even if I wasn't comparing it to a really Philly cheese steak and just considering a steak sandwich in general I would give the same rating. It just didn't have flavor.

Delicious food EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Generous portions, super kind staff & fresh ingredients. Everything is made to order. I've tried a few different items but my favorite by far is the Philly cheese steak quesadilla, random - I know but I fully recommend that and this entire establishment. Get your food to go, or have it delivered because I'm not super into the location/uncovered seating next to a busy street but the food is so good it makes up for the odd location. Happy eating y'all.

Not gonna lie, I was high as f**k when I ordered from here. I can't even explain the life changing flavors I experienced. When I have some good money again they will for sure get my business. I ordered via DoorDash, but the food was fresh and hot when I got it.Philly Cheese Steak Quesadilla was what I ordered. Highly recommend! Don't sleep on this banger of a restaurant!

Man I am highly disappointed I was recommended this place by several people to be left sick the next morning. I ordered 2 Philly sandwiches and some chicken strips. I don't even know where to start the sauce is horrible the sandwich was nasty the meat was dry the cheese stuck to the roof of our mouths the bread was chewy and hard the fries tasted like the oil needed to be changed it's horrible. I ate half my sandwich hoping the next bite would be good but no I got sick thinking food poisoning the next morning. I do not recommend at all. The service was alright he was happy when I ordered the food but he didn't want me to watch them cook for some reason. The area of the food truck wasn't really 5 star either there was a trash can right next to it and no space to wait.

Nice to find a place that was open late at night. Ordered the wings and the cheesesteak. They were both nicely flavored. Also the fries and onion rings had a nice flavor. Friendly counter service.

The only food truck I have been going to lately. Bread is fresh, medium spicy, not too salty Philly cheesesteak. Beef is tender...French fries are medium size crispy and not the greasy garbage you get at fast food drive thru. Plenty of parking. Short wait for orders. Great customer service, friendly, safe area at Stark and 146th.

This is a family owned and operated good truck. Their cheesesteaks and fries combo platter came hot, fresh, with condiments and and foil for insulation. Great value for the price. !

this is NOT a Philly cheese steak. no provolone and no wiz. it's a decent steak sandwich but if your looking for a traditional Philly in Portland your first choice is Staekadelphia which is excellent and second is Grants whic isn't bad if you can stomach Fox News.

Ate here when I came to the area for an appt, a little too early. You should know before you go that it's a food cart not terribly far from the Max - so, if it'spouring down rain or blazing hot, or maybe just because it's a food cart not terribly far from the Max, have it delivered. Hands down, one of the best Philly cheesesteaks I've ever consumed. The fries were 3 stars, but to be fair - I hate soggy fries and have a habit of ordering fries extra crispy so maybe they would have been better as is. The homeless camp across the street, patrolled by police was a little discerning, as was the young man who asked me for a light and proceeded to show me his crack pipe but I almost forgot about him by the time I took my first bite and was pleasantly surprised by the helpful young man that took my order (of cheesesteak, not crackpipe). He explained all the items they offered in delicious detail. My mouth was watering before I even got my order. I will definitely be back, but maybe I'll have it delivered

Came here because it was open late night,the food far exceeded expectations. We will definitely be back when we have a cheesesteak craving

Order via Postmates for the first time. Wow-we were thrilled! We all ordered the philly and fries-great bun, lots of meat and veggies. Two sides of cheese-one spicy and one regular. They take great care packing the food so nothing was soggy or cold. Really enjoyed our meal!

Good Philly sandwich and great place to pick up and go. But need improve because of all the homeless people. But great place for sandwiches and hamburgers.

I just tried this place (ordered through DoorDash), I had the lamb gyro with fries. Came with an extra side of cheese whiz and fry sauce... everything was delicious! Sorry I totally spaced to take a photo but will order again and take one so people can see how yummy it looks!

Gotta say good food and the owner was very friendly. Not a fan of cheese wiz but they have Swiss as an option and the owner was generous with all the cheesy goodness. Nice soft rolls too. I would eat here again.

We have gotten food here numerous times on Uber eats, they have good portions and the food is super tasty. And it doesn't break the bank to eat there!

Ate there for the first time. I got the lamb cheese steak and my wife had the chicken. They come with a healthy serving of fries, which are delicious. If you are a big eater this place is for you. Outstanding food enormous serving and great service. You might want to call ahead and order, especially if its raining.
