Mastiff Kitchen at North Park Beer Co.

Really good bacon cheeseburger. The meat was well seasoned and juicy. The bun was also really good. I got a side of the Parmesan truffle fries and they were excellent. The service was fast and friendly. The food is expensive though.

Mastiff Kitchen is located inside North Park Beer. The beer at North Park is super good! Great selection of hazys. I ordered shoe string fries for $7 to pair our food. Fries were good. Nothing too crazy. A bit on the pricier side for how much we received. Still, it is great to have food options inside the brewery. We found street parking a few blocks away. I'll definitely try other items on the menu next time!

Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. Add a side of Mastiff fries and it's quite the friggin experience. We had NO critique on ANYTHING the flavors, textures, freshness, the rad staff. It's fenominal. Just look at that friggin maillard action!

We had a nice early dinner this past Weekend. We ordered two pizzas knowing that we would have some to take home with us. The pizza is made Detroit style with a deep dish, crispy cheese around the crust, and sauce on top. They have lots of local beer on tap, and service is excellent.

This was my second time here with my son. He has good food and good beer. You order at your table through a QR code and they deliver it to the table you order drinks at the bar and anything else you would like to sip on it it’s a dog friendly environment And it totally relaxed for a good time.

Enjoyed the wing version of Korean fried chicken and Mastiff fries. Will have to go back for mac n cheese or other potato concoctions. Also appreciated all beers at North Park Brewing were craft. Don't like IPA's but they have a large selection of Double IPA's and I'm guessing Triple IPA's.

Have your smart phone ready to order food. Fantastic spicy chicken and pork fries. Solid sausage & pretzel. Filling sandwiches. Outdoor seating is chill while indoors is pretty loud & packed. Pick your experience.

Not elderly-friendly or analog friendly, or mobility challenged friendly. Maybe that's really all the same thing, but the stage my 2 guests are at. It's largely a self-service establishment from my perspective. You MUST be smartphone proficient to see menu and order for your table #xx. They did bring food to us; ordered for all 3 of us from my phone. I had to go to bar to get lemonade and waters for 3 (2 trips). Seems to be this way (more self-service than service) by design in this pandemic era, or maybe always. Probably more enjoyable for younger folks, able-bodied, and when the focus might be on the beer. Love the large space and brats! Wish there were waitstaff attending us at our table. That would have helped us. Great pub atmosphere. Nice window front seating at good tables (normal height), plus lots more high-table space thru the balance of the establishment. Has 3 nice good bathrooms, but they were a longggg walk to the back for our mobility challenged guest (1 walks with cane). Bar and kitchen staff were great. Just the degree of self-service required presented challenges for my octogenarian guests hankering for wienerschnitzel or brats. Brats were a big hit. Wienerschnitzel and a traditional German salad could not be found, but maybe another day. Knowing all this we will return for Brats and fries on occasion, and plan accordingly.

First time at North Park Beer Company. This brewery reminds me of some of the nicest breweries I visited when I lived in the east coast. This brewery has a great selection of IPA beers. We ordered the,"Art is Hard,"IPA beer and the "Pineapple Cider beer." Both drinks were so delicious and highly recommend. For our meals, we had the slider burgers and a double cheeseburger with French fries. Both burgers were very juicy and seasoned well. The food is ordered by QR code and didn't have to wait long for our burgers. The upstairs has seating available with a game room and restroom VERY convenient if you're bringing kids. There's indoor and outdoor seating. This brewery is the perfect hangout for small or large groups. The brewery is across the street from Target. Give them a try! Happy Yelping :)

North Park has an amazing hazy selection! I don't remember which ones we ordered, but they were all great! Solid spot with lots of seating inside. Mastiff for food is great to snack on as well. Street parking only. Definitely will be back!

This joint continues to impress... new Hazy's that keep me coming for drafts and packing cans for the road. City of the future and Aroma Constrictor are my most recents, but anything with Art is Hard on the label is my JAM!!

Good spot for a quick bite or a drink. The space is really nice both indoors and out, open with lots of natural light and a rustic vibe in the decor (lots of wood and greenery). You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer as you wait. My food came out much later than the rest of my groups' - the kitchen swore they made it and appeared frustrated with me, I'm assuming someone else must have grabbed it. Ended up waiting over 20 mins for my order. That said, the food is good, the smashburger is one of the better ones I've tried in San Diego - albeit fairly expensive (~$15) for what you get.

Great Ale Blond beers are served here. The service is top-notch and the staff are very polite. It is newly remodeled, and the beers are all made in-house, and you can smell the refreshing smell as you drink your beer. The price is decent (8.75 for Blond in 2024). The parking is on the street so during the busy hours you might need to park in the adjacent streets.

North Park Beer Company has tons of different beer options including those made in house and by visiting/partnership breweries! The spot can get really busy but the line to order beers typically goes fast and the place is huge with both indoor and outdoor seating so you can always find something. I've only eaten here once but the nachos were top notch!!

One of our favorites in North Park, Plenty of variety and space. The indoor seating area is quite nice, table tops and sit-down tables, stools, whatever you fancy they got it. Nice upstairs and outdoor seating for those fresh afternoons. Have yet to order food but will in the near future. Only con would be parking of course. North Park as you all know is tough to find parking spot at times but once you do you have an oasis of options around you. See you soon North Park Beer Co.

Service was fine, but most of the brewery was closed with pallets all over the place. It was also super noisy with a limited beer selection. We ordered some wings, a salad with Louisiana spicy chicken and shoe string fries. The spice was great on everything and the fries were nice and crispy, but overall flavor just wasn't there. It's supposed to be one of SD's top breweries, but I wasn't impressed.

We usually go when we want good beer and have a large party. And once we tried their food... now we go for the food too! You order your drinks at the bar and food via the QR code at your table, which comes out fast. Their fries and sprouts are so flavorful and crispy, and their burgers perfectly cheesy greasy. There's always plenty of seating in or outdoors too for larger groups!

2 of us stopped here for a late lunch on a Friday. We each got a beer and we ordered a sausage platter to share. Sorry that my sausage platter photo is partly eaten but it's because it was delicious! And perfect for sharing. We ordered the original, andouille and the chicken sausage. All 3 were tasty, but we liked the andouille best. Beers were also tasty. One Harland brewery Hef and a NP Beer company stout. Would order both again.

Came here on a beer crawl and this brewery is outstanding and a cut above the rest on the street. The bartenders were awesome and giving us great suggestions. Had my favorite hazy IPA here "Art is Hard". You must come here for the best brew

The beer here has no peer. Hey, looky, I made a rhyme! In all seriousness, though, considering strictly the beers alone, North Park Beer Company is 1 of my 2 absolute favorite breweries in all of SD County. Which, I know, means that, for me, the beer here does, in fact, have 1 peer. But a single sentence rhyme seemed more clever than this diatribe, so I led with that. Beyond the exceptional beers that are unquestionably worth going out of your way for, the overall experience here has its ups & downs. The space is large & inviting with a bit of an olde pub feel. There's also an upstairs space & some outdoor seating. Food is available on premises via Mastiff Kitchen, though I've yet to partake. Service has been competent & capable, if not always overwhelmingly friendly. They don't serve tasters/ flights, only full pours or 1/2 pours. & unsurprisingly, it's in North Park, on a very busy corner. Finding parking is a crap shoot. Unless you live in the neighborhood & just walk over, getting here can be a drag. Despite all that, will I be back? You'd better believe it.

I went here after some guys I met at the Morley Disc Golf course recommended it. Nice setup in a great neighborhood. I was surprised they didn't offer flights so I went with a few 10 oz pours of some of their IPA's. I have to be honest, they were good, but not as amazing as I was told. I certainly wouldn't rule out trying it again, but I wouldn't put them in my top 5 list in the San Diego area.

Fantastic brewery! This is a must visit brewery if you enjoy craft beer and tasting experimental beer. They have some fantastic unique flavors, nothing boring here. The inside has a great vibe with wooden bar and slight feel of an old train station. Full service kitchen where you can order right from your table with a QR code. Great place to chill with friends and even have some limited outdoor seating.

Found this brewery while exploring North Park. Very busy location but somehow staff was very friendly and made solid beer recommendations. FYI I went with the Bird Park. The place has two floors. Ground floor was the bar and restaurant and upper floor was the arcade. I left with a nice red north park shirt which I will be rocking. This is a must stop while in North Park. Highly recommend.

Beer is always amazing, but this review is for Mastiff kitchen in the brewery... phenomenal food! Hot, fresh, crispy chicken wings, got the honey garlic.. so much sauce on them and the chicken stayed crispy!! The head chef ( Carlos I think) was awesome and so helpful and informative about the menu! ORDER THE WINGS, thank me later!!

Stopped by after hearing great things about this brewery. Was interested in trying their variety of styles offered. I asked for a couple of tasters as the bartender proceeded to pour us splashes. I followed up with a remark that I wanted a taster. Then I asked if he offers flights. Bartender said "we don't do that here" as if that's a bad question to ask at a brewery. What happened to the love and craft vibes visiting neighborhood breweries? The beer was delicious though so we'll have to give it another chance, be kind or don't show up.

Was with understanding I could bring outside food to this place, as this was only my second time here and not knowing they had a policy of no outside food, I bought a deli sandwich from across the street. After I ordered my beer, and sat down at bar an employee came up and said no outside food. I asked if I could sit outside as I had my beer to drink. He said ok and I said my bad won't bring outside food again. Then I go outside and sit at the far end table. Another very rude employee comes up and says the same thing. Telling me once is OK but Twice is harassment. Noted bartenders are polite but unfriendly, there is a difference. Beer is just average mid. Be advised folks how you will be treated here. You just lost a customer. Never going back.

This is a great spot to check out for some food and beer. It is huge and there is tons of seating. But it does get busy and crowded inside. Only downside is that the place isn't too clean. Smells sweaty right as you walk in. You order beers at the bar. For food, you order and pay through a QR code and they bring it to your table. They have a lot of snacky food, and I went with the pretzel. It was delicious with the cheese sauce. Parking is difficult because it's in North Park of course, but it's very close to the North Park parking structure!

Excellent brewery. Wide selection of delicious brews. Great ambiance. They do not offer flights, but you can sample to determine which beer to pick.

I've been here twice with my better half...and I have to say, this play is growing on me. For starters, there's plenty of seating. Truly- whether you want indoor or outdoor seating, there's plenty. Both times we were there, it was late morning or early afternoon so I'm sure this place is packed in the evening...but there's still room. If you know me, you know I hate IPAs...seriously....and sometimes local breweries don't have anything for me, but the two times I've been to North Park Beer Company, they've always had something for me to enjoy. The beertenders have always been friendly and eager to pour a splash of whatever I want...as I tell them my sob story of hating ipa style beer. Their recommendations have always been spot on. While we've never eaten here, Mastiff Kitchen brings out some mighty good looking food! That's on our agenda for next time we visit NPBC. Cheers!

Went in with the wifey for dinner and got the pepperoni pizza and the market salad and both were fantastic. Top it off with some amazing IPA and I'm happy, they also recommended one of the white wines for her which she enjoyed thoroughly, we will be back!

This place offers a lot of different beers that you can drink there or take home a couple of cans. Unfortunately I do not drink beer, but they do have a great wine selection and offer a selection of foods. What I liked about this place is that it was family friendly. I went during the day around lunchtime noted that there were many families in the restaurant with small children. It was great to see a mix of people.

Best brewery in San Diego imo. Their Hazy IPAs are incredible, hoppy, bold, refreshing with a fantastic finish. The color is perfect, orange juice like with a great smell and taste. Mastiff grill has great food inside the venue as well, hamburgers and sausages are very well made. I go every Wed to pickup beer to go. Free tip, they drop new releases to purchase on their website on Tuesday, beers are ready by Wednesday. That's the best way to get great releases like Art is Hard TDH, Aroma Constrictor, Hop Fu!, etc. Go here, it's amazing!

Love this brewery. Super friendly and local vibes. The Velvet Phenix (Stout) is a MUST. So flavorful and aromatic, the perfect beer-coffee-chocolate hybrid. Always a small line that moves really quickly at the register. So grateful this spot exists.

The interior of this location of North Park Beer Company is pretty nice. The area directly across from the bar is kind of small but they have an outside and upstairs area to make up for it. The bartenders are always nice and the beer is pretty tasty as well. They also have a food place inside of it called Mastiff Kitchen which serves so really good burgers and fries. It is a great spot for groups and just a solo beer night.

Very good brewery with wide selection of beers. I found this place to have styles of beers like Vienna, Belgium etc. The service is wonderful and ambiance being the best I have ever seen for a brewery. They have all kinds of beer, ranging from lager to fruit sour beers. Please note that they don't do beer flights, but you can always take smaller size of the order. This is one of the best breweries I went to in North Park.

If you are looking for that more classic brewery feel with the high ceilings and fermentation vessels as your backdrop then North Park Beer Company is your spot. They aren't just a tasting room. They are actively making brews on site. On the beverage menu, they have a majority of their own brews, but also have a couple visiting taps for cider and they also have wine. It is a big space inside with a large open lower level, plus a upper level in the back. For your culinary delight, tucked in the back is Mastiff Sausage Company. A crowd favorite in our group are the Pork Nugs which is crispy pork belly with a gochujang glaze with crushed peanuts and sesame seeds on top. The shoestring fries are also quite tasty. Lots of good stuff to try from sausages to burgers to friend chicken. They even have a couple salads.

Really great space, North Park serves some of the best beer on this planet. I drove 155 miles to get some of The latest releases.

Easy review here. Great beer. Decent food. HORRIBLE service. Short stalky white guy was rude. Bartenders are always short and snippy here. Not the place it use to be. But, great beer.

Been here three times and have loved all the IPAs I've tried so far! Lots of indoor seating and some outside too which I really like! It's never super busy even on a weekend due to the large space inside. A very chill and happy place to stop by and grab a drink. The staff is always nice and super good at recommending drinks! They also carry ciders if you're not a big beer fan! One of my favorite spots in North Park, and central to all restaurants, shops, and bars.

Karissa was phenomenal! Great recommendations on our beers and food. Michelle was also great she was also on top of everything throughout our first stop here. Def come and visit both of them!

Local favorite, hard to miss the prime real estate. Beer selection is great, can get pretty busy tho.

The bankers hill location of this brewpub boasts great ambiance and design. The layout and seating is generous. Parking nearby can be a challenge due to the increasing popularity of 5th Ave district and residential loading but it's worth the effort. The basic menu is in keeping with the brew pub vibe but it's reasonable in price and quality. The beer menu is the star and some interesting taps make it worth a visit. I'm a fan of their Scottish Amber! Def worth a check out if you're visiting in San Diego and want to get outside the city and hotel area.

They continue to under pour beers here. You pay a premium for less than a pint. I own the glasses that they have here and to the rim is 160z. I had an argument with the beer tender and he refused to agree and wouldn't do anything about it. Not sure why they care so much but it seems to be a top down problem. Although their beer is good, I recommend you patronize the other breweries in the area.

Outstanding beer and super cool spot in amazing location. From dry hopped ipa's to crisp pilsners there is something for everyone. This brewery is top notch! Oh by the way had lunch here and it was great as well!

This place was huge! So nice with lots of fancy quotes carved into the decor. They was an upstairs too. We only tried the beer. The Fluid & Flow DIPA was amazing. No tasters but the beertender was willing to do "short pours" so we could try more beers without getting trashed. He was super friendly and accommodating. We didn't try the food. People were bringing in their dogs, not just the patio but everywhere in the restaurant. So it appears well behaved dogs were allowed when we visited in July 2023.

North Park Brewing is a San Diego brewery Steve and I got to try. It was an IPA fest with this beer drinking session as we had three different IPA'S from this particular brewery. We had two different West Coast IPA'S one was the Hop Fu and the other was a Scolari's West Coast IPA. Truth be told and unfortunately I felt it was kind of a blur between the two as it was difficult to tell which West Coast IPA I was switching to. In other words I found it difficult to distinguish between the two. In fact it wasn't much different in flavor between all three. The third one was the Disciples of Fu. All tasted just a little too similarly other than a slight difference with the hop intensity. Perhaps the mistake here by us was getting nothing but IPA'S but brews with a unique and experimental edge to them in a genuine manner it shouldn't really matter all that much.

Great place to grab a drink. There is plenty of seating (indoor and outdoor), and it fills up pretty fast after it opens. I think it's neat they brew on-site. Seems to be a good place to go with a friend or a group of friends and have conversation. I didn't order any food, but it looked to be pretty vegetarian and gluten-free inclusive. Not a lot of vegan food. Parking is in the area, you may have to look for a moment or two to find street parking.

My friends and I decided to come here on a Monday night about 2 hrs before closing as we wanted to avoid any crowd as much as possible. Because we went at such a random time, parking was a lot easier than normal- life is about the small wins lol. When we got there there were only 2 other parties also at the brewery. My friends and I tried a smoothie kind of beer with lactose in it and a sour. Other than these two beers, most of the selections were IPA's. The ambiance is kinda dim and moody. There's these huge bulb lanterns that kinda remind me big street lights they'd have in the 1920's in the middle of some tables. They go on and off when it's last call/close to closing. Overall it was a cool vibe, but not my favorite brewery.

My Fiance and I are always out to look for a good brewery that also has some food options. While many SD Breweries have a food truck but nothing in the house this place is a good exception to that. I absolutely loved this Brewery. Food: They have a kitchen inside which is not run by the brewery(it's run by Mastiff Kitchen) but they serve at your table, all you have to do is order online and table number. This is great in a way because you can take your time to order and just pay on your phone. We got the short rib grilled cheese which was a dream. The wings were good too and the Mastiff fries were amazing. Beer: They have so many options and I am sure they keep changing. But, I particularly loved this raspberry ale they had out of all I tried, very rich in flavor. In-all: I have been here twice more since my first time going here and have loved it every time.

Their beers are the best, that's no argument but they under pour and staff is unpredictable. Happy or bruiting faces. The bar itself is gorgeous inside, love to sit outdoors the most. I'd give it 5 stars if beer pours and staff energy was consistent.

If you're looking for a place to sit and drink, Look no further! North Park Beer Company is an awesome place to go with great vibes! The staff is super helpful with any questions you have and very professional as well! I like how you have to pay for your items as you order instead of racking up a tab. The food is awesome and hits the spot every time! This place has a cool upstairs area with some retro arcade games to play. I also like how you this place has self service water! After a few beers it's always good to hydrate. 10/10 recommend this place for everyone to try and I'll be coming back soon!

I love North Park beer and the space used to be so nice, but lately when I have been there for the last two times the place is not up to snuff. The fung shui is really off. They are brewing beer there I know but there's lots of clutter around and yesterday the noise was really loud from their canning process. It was midday two ish on Presidents' Day. Couldn't you do that noisy stuff in the earl or late hours. The main area was cordoned off and it was quite busy, so we went outside on the side. I remember yrs earlier we actually had my husband's holiday party here a few times and they had nice holiday decor out to take photos next to, but when I was here last time during holidays it was just not the same. I have brought family here from out of town in past also, but no more. Sure the beers are pretty good, and they won a medal for one of their beers, but guys don't let it go to your head and neglect the other important things, like making it comfortable for people to come here.

It was my first time coming here and I was really surprised at how cool this whole place was! I loved the interior of it, with the beer kegs & all the beer they were making for the next month right there in house. The ambience and lighting was perfect too. My friends and I went in and were helped at the bar immediately. I loved the informative menu, with drink titles, ABV %, and the amount of ounces, along with a description of each drink. I tried a raspberry cider, which was delicious. I would definitely come back again!

I started coming to NP about 6 months ago and I have to say this is the BEST brewery in San Diego hands down! I normally pick up the canned four packs every Wednesday. Great customer experience every time. I am yet to try their food but I've heard good feedback. Just like any other business in North Park, parking can be a challenge. I would recommend this brewery to everyone and also signing up the the NP newsletter

NP Beer is hitting their stride and their entire lineup is great quality. I finally had a chance to visit their main tap room in NP and I wasn't disappointed. They really should be on everyone's San Diego brew tour as they are quite good with west coast and hazy IPAs are my favorite as well as outstanding stouts. They also have nice pales and pils for the lighter fans. Only issue I found was they didn't really offer half pints or crowlers- this may have been due to the pandemic or supply chain issues with aluminum

I traveled from the valley just to come here and it did not disappoint! The brewery itself is really nice very clean. My boys enjoyed the top floor with arcades the food was also fresh and delicious. Very satisfied with my visit till next time San Diego

Love this place! Food menu has expanded, they have a great selection of their beers as well as guest taps on rotation so it never gets stale. I appreciate that the bartenders take their work ethic seriously.
