Dear Mastro’s Management,
I’m writing to share how disappointed I was with my recent visit to Mastro’s Steakhouse, where I celebrated what was supposed to be a special birthday dinner.
From the beginning, the experience felt chaotic and unwelcoming. We were moved to four different tables before being seated—each time without clear communication—which immediately set the wrong tone for the evening. On top of that, the dining area was uncomfortably cold, making it hard to relax and enjoy our time. My mom and grandma couldn’t even joy what was going on because they were shivering and two seperate tables had complained as well.
When it came time for dessert, the wrong item was brought out twice. On the third attempt, though the dessert was correct, my name was misspelled on the plate, which felt careless given it was a birthday. The server began singing Happy Birthday but stopped midway through, leaving the moment feeling awkward and incomplete.
What stood out the most, however, was the lack of warmth or hospitality from your staff—especially the manager, who appeared visibly annoyed when we asked for assistance. Instead of feeling celebrated, I felt like we were an inconvenience.
For a restaurant with Mastro’s reputation and pricing, I expected a much higher level of care, attention, and professionalism—especially for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, this felt like anything but a special occasion.
I hope you take this feedback seriously so future guests don’t leave feeling the way I did.
