The Baseline: For a Steak House Fine Dining experience, the steak must be of high grade prepared to how I order it, the seasoning/flavors must make me salivate for the meat, there must be side dish offering that accompanies the meat, and the experience must make me feel like I am a part of a special experience that is an incredible steak dinner. Food: Yes the food. The steaks are high grade and perfectly cooked. We had the New York strip and the Ribeye and the texture, seasoning, char on the meat, the juiciness, the flavor of the steaks were soooooooooo good. Joy is the flavor of the meat. The sides do not disappoint either, Mac and cheese is high quality, the mashed potatoes were creamy/seasoned/delicious, and the desert cheesecake was well portioned and not overly sweet with fresh berries. The after diner coffee made me comfortable happy as the finish to an incredible meal. Service: The serving staff are top notch awesome. Water glasses always full and they are ready for all reasonable requests though I never asked for any unreasonable ones. Ambiance: I know I am at a steak house when I am here. That dark leather, wood seating decor look, not overly bright lighting with that dancing candle light look, along with the salivating smell of cooked steaks. That is the quintessential steak house experience.

Our server April was absolutely amazing. Super bright, attentive, professional, what else can I say? The seafood tower was very good, not the best, but very good. Steak was extremely tender. Just a slightly salty for me. Lobster mac n cheese, lobster mashed potatoes, gnocchi, mushrooms, were all extremely tasty

Wow! Amazing 🤩 atmosphere, the food was so fresh and delicious 😋. The best part was our experience and how we were taken care of by April she was and is very “ Espectacular” I will most definitely be coming back here. She made me feel so welcomed and it was my birthday 🎉

Mastro's is a consistent delight in my book for food, ambience, superb wait staff and bartender as well as wonderful live music. A perfect score on several visits.

This isn’t my favorite place to eat in Beverly Hills. I feel like it’s a bit outdated. The last time I went, I sat at the bar and I got lobster mashed potatoes, and it tasted like soup. They do have a singer that comes and sings with the piano, but like I said, I feel like there’s better places to go for upscale in Beverly Hills

Dear Mastro’s Management, I’m writing to share how disappointed I was with my recent visit to Mastro’s Steakhouse, where I celebrated what was supposed to be a special birthday dinner. From the beginning, the experience felt chaotic and unwelcoming. We were moved to four different tables before being seated—each time without clear communication—which immediately set the wrong tone for the evening. On top of that, the dining area was uncomfortably cold, making it hard to relax and enjoy our time. My mom and grandma couldn’t even joy what was going on because they were shivering and two seperate tables had complained as well. When it came time for dessert, the wrong item was brought out twice. On the third attempt, though the dessert was correct, my name was misspelled on the plate, which felt careless given it was a birthday. The server began singing Happy Birthday but stopped midway through, leaving the moment feeling awkward and incomplete. What stood out the most, however, was the lack of warmth or hospitality from your staff—especially the manager, who appeared visibly annoyed when we asked for assistance. Instead of feeling celebrated, I felt like we were an inconvenience. For a restaurant with Mastro’s reputation and pricing, I expected a much higher level of care, attention, and professionalism—especially for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, this felt like anything but a special occasion. I hope you take this feedback seriously so future guests don’t leave feeling the way I did.

My mom and I were celebrating Mother’s Day, and we had the most wonderful experience thanks to Jacob! His service was attentive, kind, and thoughtful—he made sure we were enjoying our drinks, food, and dessert every step of the way. The whole atmosphere felt welcoming and special. Huge thanks to Jacob and the manager Jon for making our celebration truly memorable!

Got a $100 steak, ate a few pieces only before needing to use the restroom. When I come back, it's all gone and apparently not in a to go box. Yes it was 30 minute past closing, but there was 75% of the dish left. And I never said I was done. What a waste of food and hard earned money.

Yelp
I went here for a fixed menu and was so happy with the quality of the steak and the preparation for a crowd of more than 50! Mastro's in an LA classic and now I know why. Even with the crowd, they still managed to deliver a perfect medium rare with delicious side. I'm so happy with the taste and quality and I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Came here for a corporate event and it was amazing! We reserved a room at the back of the restaurant on the second floor and had a set menu. Everything from appetizers (veggie roll, asparagus tempura, colossal shrimp cocktail) to the main entrees and side dishes to desserts were really good! For appetizers, I loved the colossal shrimp cocktail - the shrimp is definitely colossal! I love the wild mushrooms side dish as well - super flavorful! The ribeye is delicious! I asked for medium plus and it was just that - amazing! I also asked for truffle butter on top - trust me, you won't regret! I went with their recommendation to get the butter cake and I recommend! The ambience is great as well - live music!

Yelp
It's been a few years since I've been to Maestros and the food was just as good as I remembered. We sat outdoors on the 3rd floor and our server was great and attentive.

Yelp
Mastro's is one of my go-to spots in LA whenever I'm in town, it never misses. The Lobster Bisque is easily one of the best I've had anywhere. Rich, velvety, full of flavor, and it's never let me down no matter how many times I order it. This time I went with the Sea Bass, and it was huge had to be around 10 oz, but perfectly cooked with a buttery texture and great seasoning throughout. The broccolini was the perfect balance: crisp, fresh, and added a nice touch to round out the plate. The atmosphere is always top-tier, the service is on point, and the food speaks for itself. Whether you're going for a special occasion or just want a guaranteed great meal, Mastro's continues to set the bar high.

Yelp
Celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary here. We were so impressed with the service and patience as we navigated the menu options. We appreciated all the recommendations and found our server not only friendly, but really funny. It made our experience so enjoyable. The staff was attentive and we felt very well cared for. We started with the Maple Glazed Bacon Steak, then had the Lobster Bisque. My husband ordered the Filet and I had the Chilean Sea Bass with an order of the White Cheddar Lobster Mac & Cheese. Everything was so delicious! I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Was around the area and decided to order for takeout. It was a Saturday night so it was packed. Valet was very busy but they were very helpful since I just wanted to pick up my food. Not sure I would have enjoyed the ambiance dining in with it feeling so overwhelming. Got lobster mashed potatoes and lobster Mac and cheese , that was a 8/10, the mashed potatoes were very dry... Broccolini and roasted corn esquite was a 9/10 It was my first time trying their sautéed shrimp, I loved the flavor and just everything about it, it was also very fulfilling so that was a 10/10. Got the 8oz filet medium well and it was too raw, I had to cook it myself for a few minutes more. The butter cake was a 10/10!!! I had to double check my receipt because they didn't give me any bread. I thought I had ordered extra and I didn't. But with every order they've given me bread and I usually order an extra side of it. But this time they gave me no bread at all so that was also annoying. Was my first time at time location and not sure I like it.

Yelp
We visited Mastro's BH for Dine LA Week and had a wonderful dining experience. Prefix menu and value worth it. We started with the French onion soup, which was rich and flavorful, and the large shrimp cocktail, which was fresh and perfectly chilled. The 6 oz filet was cooked to perfection--tender and full of flavor. The sides were delicious and served in just the right proportions, complementing the meal beautifully. We did order the lobster mash for $20 up charge it was too big and rich they should have said it was that large. Finished with Butter cake a fav and must have. The ambiance was upscale with 2 women singing it was a fun Sat night unexpected. While everything was excellent, the service felt a bit lagging which is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, a fantastic evening and a great way to enjoy Dine LA Week!

Yelp
Great steakhouse with a classy vibe. We dined at Mastro's in Beverly Hills after it was recommended by our friends. We were able to make last-minute reservations and the restaurant wasn't too crowded. We ordered the bread basket for the table and they brought out a fine variety of warm bread that we couldn't stop eating. We decided to share the Chef's Cut New York strip. I thought it was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes were also very good (and a huge portion that can be shared between 3 or 4 people). Our waiter and the staff was very courteous. We ordered dessert after their closing time, and they didn't rush us at all even though we felt bad for staying late. Speaking of dessert, the Warm Butter Cake was really good. The restaurant was expensive, but that was anticipated since it's a nice steakhouse located right in Beverly Hills. A lot of people were celebrating their birthdays there and it looked like the perfect restaurant for a celebration.

Yelp
There are 2 parking Lots across the street. One is a flat fee of $10 after 6pm, but not sure about the other (perhaps $5 based on some other reviews?). Valet is $17. The majority of your party has to be there for you to be seated, but they do have a bar where you can wait. Similar to other reviews, the lighting was very dim and the noise level was a bit loud from the other patrons. We had to use our phones to look at the menu. There were 6 of us and we got bread service for the table (two baskets). The assortment of bread was warm, and I particularly enjoyed the pretzel stick. The butter was just alright. We shared 4 different sides: - The Caesar salad comes with whole pieces of anchovies. - the black truffle mash potatoes was good but while there was plenty of truffles on top, the flavor didn't really permeate throughout the potatoes - lobster mac and cheese was standard and good - the creamed spinach was too creamy by a few of our friends' standards but I thought it was good enough and not as oily as I've had in other places I got the medium rare ribeye to share with my wife and this was delicious. We were barely able to finish it. We also had a bite of a friends' porterhouse but he got it medium, while I liked it I liked the ribeye more but that might be because it was cooked more. I might opt for rare next time. I got a glass of the Sonoma Zinfandel which was tasty and not badly priced at $15. It's not as tannic as I like my red to be with steak so I'd try another wine next time. I loved the super hot plates that has a spread of oregano oil.

Yelp
This pains me a bit since we love to go to Mastro's on special occasions like birthdays etc. Last night it was my son's 18th birthday. The service and the food didn't disappoint but imagine my kids (18-23 last night for context) were frustrated by the pace of the dinner. They have been fortunate and had many experiences in nice places and know that it's not going to be a one hour experience. So why did it matter and why the '3'? The level of the music. It was consistently at 85-90 decibels, making conversation impossible. So a 2.5 hour meal seemed like torture to all of us and laughably I have special hearing aides allowing me to triangulate sound and speech better than 'hearing' folks. We couldn't hear ourselves or the server, plus people sitting at the piano with the performer were yelling at each other, like you do at a concert, and they got picked up nicely by the performers mic‍-so we could HEAR them just fine. To me this is something managers should pick up. Ambiance is a big deal when the meal is gonna cost north of $1200.

Yelp
I'm writing specifically about the gooey butter cake I had here a couple years ago, which was absolutely incredible and large enough to share between four adults. The rest was not particularly memorable, but the dessert was one of the best I've can recall having.

Yelp
I came here last night for an anniversary dinner with my husband. I was able to easily make a reservation on Open Table. They actually called me day of to ask how many years we were celebrating which was a nice surprise. Andy was our server and he was kind, helpful and attentive. We had dinner on the earlier side (6pm) so it was nice and slow. Not crowded or loud which was really nice. They had a live singer and we really loved that. It wasn't too loud either. We both got steaks and they were cooked well. I love the service and nice touches like cold bowls for our Caesar salad that came split for us and the 400 degree plates. I love my food HOT and this assured that! We got the garlic mashed potatoes, brocollini, and crab fried rice (a little spicy so so good). The fried rice was $45 but there was a lot of crab in it so we felt it was worth it after finding out how much it was after lol. We couldn't decide between the original butter cake or the seasonal lemon blueberry and Andy could tell me were torn so he kindly said he would figure it out. He ended up bringing the small celebration butter cake AND the lemon blueberry. Needless to say, we were so stuffed and had so many leftovers! Mastros isn't cheap but we feel that the ambience, service and quality of food is what makes it worth coming here for a special occasion. There is also free 2 hour parking in the public lot across the street! Thanks Andy for making our night so lovely. We appreciate you and the whole team!

Yelp
MASTRO'S is a longtime favorite, but tonight was a sub par experience. I was there in a party of six Thursday evening and we sat downstairs in that room when you immediately enter. The room is fine enough, but it is not illuminated properly where you need a flashlight to read the menu and you feel like your dining in a movie theater. We asked several times to turn the lights up and that request was ignored. They did place some electric candles on the table, but they did not help. I ordered the MASTRO'S House Salad which was already prepared and was clearly taken from the fridge and it was awful. Our host ordered a filet mignon 12 ounce and he sent it back. They did get him a second steak, but the rest of us had already completed our meals. We did have an array of desserts which were fine and I believe they were complimentary as well as the second steak. The whole lighting thing was distracting and made it hard to converse in the dark and even the restroom had minimal lighting which was equally annoying. I don't understand why the lighting was an issue and not rectified. It was a Thursday and place seemed for the most part, empty. The overall experience tonight was a big okay, as the sides were underwhelming (asparagus, lobster potatoes, and spinach). The service is always first rate, and the servers are excellent. It just wasn't the MASTRO'S I have come to know. Located at 246 North Canon Drive in Beverly Hills and reservations are required. The number is 310-888-8782. www.mastrosrestaurants.com I will be back, but hoping the experience is better than tonight. And the downstairs could use a physical face lift as well as restrooms. More light!

Yelp
Valet parking at the front, easy to access and get to the entrance. A small bar on the side as you can wait for the rest of your party to arrive. We were seated on the third floor and it was nice a spacious. The menu at Mastro's has been mostly the same. As a party of 6 we were celebrating a birthday and wanted to share some appetizers. We got the seafood tower and the bf and i shared the Caesar salad. They were both a great starter before the entree. The two of us decided to get one steak (bone-in ribeye) and one seafood (whole branzino) so we don't overeat on red meat (it was a great choice). Both of our entree was well made, although the steak did not come in a plate which we thought was a little weird, it was still good. One of my must order side dish is the Wasabi Mashed Potatoes. The mashed potatoes goes really well with the steak and balances out the oily feeling. Service was good. They constantly check up on us and making sure our drinks are refreshed. Would recommend this place for celebration and date nights. It is a pricey steakhouse but it is worth it.

Yelp
I think the ambiance is beautiful. We went here with a large group so we gave presentations as we ate. The ceased salad was great. I had the bone in fillet and I asked for medium rare and the whole meat came extremely rare. I felt like I was eating raw meat. So I had to ask for it to be cooked and I asked for well done. After it was cooked, I enjoyed the meat but if I was shy and afraid to ask I think I would not have enjoyed my meal. I also got to try the mushrooms which was really good. Slightly below expectations because of uncooked steak..

Yelp
Walked in and got seated right away. We were on the second floor right next to the window. Drinks came next. The bread man came right after the drinks. Fresh warmed up bread out of the oven. The waitress came next and took our orders. I ordered the porterhouse steak with brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes and mushrooms. The food came quick to our table and the steak was amazing with A1 steak sauce. I like vegetables and the brussels sprouts were amazing as well. The mushrooms had good taste as well as the mashed potatoes. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. Great place to take some photos! The ambience is one of a kind! When we finished our meal, the DJ played music so if you love music, there's a DJ there on Saturdays. This restaurant has really good service and everybody is really friendly. I would recommend Mastro's Beverly Hills.

Yelp
Went to celebrate a birthday and we had the best time! We were seated in the outdoor area of the penthouse! Our server Steve was great along with the rest of the staff and crew! Food was absolutely delicious. We ordered wine, Caesar salad, crab cakes, fillet mignon 8 oz, ribeye steak, lobster Mac b cheese and garlics mashed potatoes. Having live musics entertainment was the icing on the cake! Such a great experience. Valet parking is 17$ but there is also a parking garage nearby!!

Yelp
Oh my gosh I just noticed I had this review in my review drafts from my birthday last year! Well mastros is my favorite all time birthday restaurant, I live in a small town now that doesn't have a mastros location but let me tell you, whenever I am able to I love making it out to a mastros location to celebrate a special day. If y'all are dessert fans you must must must try the butter cake, it's my favorite restaurant dessert of all time! The service is always A+ and the ambiance is classy and worth every penny you spend. The lemon drop martini is our favorite drink, but we were bummed out to find our Beverly Hills banned the dry ice that made this drink so much fancier, not their fault so I didn't subtract any rating from it. But to be honest I will probably go to the Malibu location next time to get the whole package It's just such a nice vibe with the live entertainment, it makes it so enjoyable to drink , eat and enjoy your day. We didn't eat a meal beyond dessert there this time but if you all are planning to and don't mind spending the extra cash; you must try the Japanese A5 wagyu steak. Trust me; it will be like you've never had a real steak before in your life until that moment. Blows my socks off each time.

Yelp
Celebrated my daughter's Birthday at Mastro's. We were greeted with champagne in the foyer. Once we were seated in the most beautiful dining area we ordered and ate a beautiful meal. My steak was cooked to perfection at the advice of our waiter to have my steak cooked medium rare. It was so tender and flavorful. Lastly, my daughter was gifted a slice of cake for her special day.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday night. It was VERY BUSY, VERY LOUD, but still not too much. Service was great. GPS took us to the wrong one and they were still accommodating in that we didn't have a long wait to be seated to eat even though they were BUSY!!! My food was AMAZING! So much so I forgot to take pics of it to share, I was so concerned with eating it . I had a steak of course with a baked potato on the side. I would have like more choices in vegetable sides. Our server was GREAT! He even gave us a complimentary dessert since the wait for our meal got extended beyond his control and were celebrating a special occasion. I would 100% recommend eating here! Provecho/Bon Appetit

Yelp
2/5/25 The waitress Hannah was amazing , she made me laugh , helped me select a few options for dinner . The team, I encountered was very nice and such a cute vibe. The food is delicious and hot. Thank you Hannah for a wonderful experience

Yelp
Placed an order To Go, with Jason, who was tending bar Saturday night. Impeccable service! Kind, personable, courteous, and knowledgeable!! A great experience, even though I was just taking food to go. We'll be back, of course! Thanks, Jason!

Yelp
Back to Mastros with the boys this time and again pure perfection. We had a wonderful evening of over eating and pure indulgence!! Service by the entire team from the wonderful hosts when we came in, to the servers, support staff, and management was outstanding. As for the food: Cocktails (Old Fashion and Penicillin) 10/10 Bread baskets 10/10 Tuna Tartare 10/10 Sautéed shrimp 11/10 (incredible sauce and garlic bread) Maguro Lime Roll 10/10 Caesar salad 8/10 Bone In Ribeye (22oz) 10/10 Bistecca Alla Fiorentina (36oz) 11/10 Truffle Mashed Potatoes 10/10 Pecan Pie - Too high to even rate! Incredible! Think we liked it Can't wait to be back!

Yelp
Picked up some Mac and cheese just now and valet let me pull up without paying. The inside is hip and nice. I like this location. Passed by the Malibu location today too. This location is a lil more for that youth.

Yelp
I had the wonderful opportunity of returning to Mastro's a second time. This time, I came for a weekday dinner. The ambiance was nothing short of perfection. I highly recommend everyone to make a reservation if you can, one hour to half an hour before sunset, and ask to be seated in the Penthouse. Last time, we were seated in the main dining room. Although the main dining room felt intimate and elegant, the penthouse was airy, open and beautiful. Also, last time when I visited, it was on Valentine's Day. The place was packed and the restaurant staff did a great job in spite of the large crowds. I much prefer the more relaxed elegant vibe on a weekday night. We were able to watch the sun go down while enjoying our meal. There was a singer, singing and playing the piano in the dining area. The live music combined with the beautiful sunset provided the most perfect and picturesque scene for a lovely dinner. We ordered the following: 1. Dry aged Bone-in Ribeye Steak (yes!) 2. Crispy Garlic Tuna Sashimi (recommend!) 3. Spicy Mambo Salas (pass) 4. Bread Service (yes!) 5. Garlic Mashed Potatoes (yes!) 6. Roasted Brussels Sprouts (yes!) 7. Chocolate Cake (yes!) 8. Rose (delicious) Our server, Cheryl was friendly and helpful. The entire service staff were pleasant, attentive and courteous. I also want to thank Yohnnes, the head valet for his excellent service. It was such a treat to be serviced well and fed an excellent meal in a beautiful, relaxed setting. I felt spoiled!

Yelp
Came to celebrate a friend's birthday on a Friday night with a reservation in place. My party arrives on time and we check in on time just to be told we would have to wait till the party in our table is still sitting and should be gone soon. I thought this was so unprofessional for an upscale restaurant. We had to wait 30-40 minutes to be sat!! I felt like reservations don't matter at this joint. After our long wait we get sat which is great but the crowds and tables were so close to each other we couldn't really hear our waitress which made ordering difficult. Ordered the rib eye steak and a lemon drop and they were divine of course 4.5/5 the sides we ordered were Mac n cheese and the lobster mashed potatoes which are delicious as well 4.5/5. For a Friday night this place was ALIVE! I'm not sure I would come to this mastros location in particular. Take your chances.

Yelp
I just want to say that I have tried to follow up with my last email with them. They had asked me to send them my urgent care bill and they have disappeared. Nobody has answered my emails. *birds chirping* I even went to the website that Kevin told me to go to and write a review supposedly stating that somebody will get back to me, but of course... Nothing. I would never go back here for Recomended. There have been a couple times my friends wanted to go since my incident and I said absolutely not.
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
Well, I can say I've been here enough that the staff knows me and they are lovely. I frequent because of work and they are able to accommodate large crowds; my colleagues prefer dinner here over other steakhouses. Not eating red meat limits me to the veggie or vegan option, sometimes fish. It is always an experience and tbh sometimes service is spot on, other nights the meal seems to take a while. The family style sides are good to share, don't be afraid to ask for more for the table. The mambo salad doesn't live up to the "spicy" hype and the Caesar can swim in dressing. Be careful with the bread, it's awkward to be chewing something crunch while someone is speaking. The steaks, chops and racks draw "ooohs and ahhhs" as they come out table side. Perfect for business functions!

Yelp
First of all, the drinks are amazing 10 out of 10. I would also say that is very worth getting valet parking. It was only $17 and very convenient. The bartender was very very nice. And our servers and our hose were so nice. I really appreciate the service here 10 out of 10. me and my boyfriend got the ribeye. It was delicious. Eight out of 10. Four sides I like the scallop potatoes eight out of 10, but I wish it just had more sauce. And the spinach cream was very good. Maybe need a little salt eight out of 10. My friend loved his tuna, and the tuna tartare was very good 9/10 I have to come back and say I really loved the service here. It will we went for our friends birthday and her name was on the menu. I thought that that was such a beautiful touch. And the server was timing out our appetizers. That was a 10 out of 10, but I will definitely say that the service is worth it.

Yelp
As a food critic, I have been going to Mastro's for many years. I almost hate to tell you how many times and yours I've gone. I enjoy the outdoor dining on the second floor however, the second floor dining room is also very enjoyable. For the most part, the staff is extremely friendly and try hard to please. What can I say it's a steakhouse with outstanding cuts of meat. They have a steak to meet everyone's individual likings. From fish to steaks and amazing appetizers. You won't be disappointed. You should note it's a little pricey, but I find it worth it.

Yelp
Had a company dinner at this super fancy steakhouse in Beverly Hills, and it was *chef's kiss* . The food was on point and the service? Immaculate. Shoutout to Olivia, the sweetest hostess ever, and April, our waiter, who knew everything about the menu like a pro. It's pricey, but you're in Beverly Hills, so totally expected. I found street parking, which was a win. I loved the non-alcoholic sparkling wine they had since I don't drink. Overall, it's a vibe.

Yelp
We celebrated a birthday. We ordered porterhouse, sea bass, salad, French onion soup, fries, baked potato, lobster, mac & cheese, creamed, spinach, wild, mushrooms, and truffle, butter, and bread service. First off our waitresses was absolutely amazing. All of the staff were welcoming & friendly. They have live music, which was amazing. The only thing that I can say is the lobster was overcooked in the mac & cheese, and the baked potato was not totally baked. Having said that I still definitely highly recommend this place. I would definitely go back and if I could give them more stars, I would.

Yelp
I'm writing to share how disappointed I was with my recent visit to Mastro's Steakhouse, where I celebrated what was supposed to be a special birthday dinner. From the beginning, the experience felt chaotic and unwelcoming. We were moved to four different tables before being seated--each time without clear communication--which immediately set the wrong tone for the evening. On top of that, the dining area was uncomfortably cold, making it hard to relax and enjoy our time. What stood out the most, however, was the lack of warmth or hospitality from your staff--especially the manager, who appeared visibly annoyed when we asked for assistance. Instead of feeling celebrated, I felt like we were an inconvenience. For a restaurant with Mastro's reputation and pricing, I expected a much higher level of care, attention, and professionalism--especially for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, this felt like anything but a special occasion. I hope you take this feedback seriously so future guests don't leave feeling the way I did.

Yelp
Got the Kansas City Strip, Lobster Cocktail, Oysters, Mushrooms and Fries. They give so MUCH fries - and they were so crispy. Sorry talking about fries for a steakhouse is weird but I was impressed. Lobster was good and fresh. Nice oysters. Mushrooms were really good (although a bit salty for me but subjective). Steak was well cooked (medium rare) and juicy. It was kind of dark but I get it that it's their style. Live singing quality was only okay. I'd go back.

Yelp
The food and service were exceptional! I came to take advantage of the special dineLA menu which included French onion soup, a petite 6 oz. filet, creamed spinach, garlic mashed potatoes, and the signature butter cake for $90. Everything was delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly medium. Gary, the server, was outstanding! He was so attentive, friendly, and personable. The other staff also stood out with how polite and attentive they were. I hadn't been to this location in awhile and this visit was long overdue. If you are celebrating a special occasion or just want an excellent meal, this is the place to come.

Yelp
Definitely my favorite steakhouse in Los Angeles! Omg yummy!!! Bone in filet, crab gnocchi and of course the butter cake!! We went for my birthday and they even brought out a second dessert! The new music choice is a live woman doing Britney covers, which was a bit odd to be honest. But otherwise the atmosphere is so classy and romantic! I love Mastros!!!

Yelp
Gorgeous restaurant with several dining rooms, two bars (maybe a third upstairs??), and live music. We began with cocktails, served in shakers left at the table. The wine list features not only the usual fantastic wines but also some hidden gems. Our group of four enjoyed a superb dinner, including the Filet, bone-in Filet, Lobster mashed potatoes, mushrooms, Mac and Cheese, and a lobster tail. Key lime pie and the Butter cake were the perfect end to a great meal. Service was impeccable--our waiter was attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the menu!

Yelp
Just came to this location for my second time. Last time I sat upstairs but this time we got a table on the lower floor by the end of the room ...table for 4 There is nothing wrong with the room .. it just made me feel a little tight and no air down here ! Also it was really dark...we had to use our phone lights to see the menu. And the servers had little flashlights to show us the food when explaining.....maybe it could be less dark? lol Our server was really friendly and nice. She knows her job well Our food was good...especially steak & double cut pork shop. Juicy and seasoned well ! I got my pork chop butterflied so it gets a little more well done. Still incredibly juicy . Comes with apple compote that's a perfect compliment. 12oz filet was super smooth and soft....cut like butter. Seasoned perfectly and cooked with a lovely crisp. I ordered medium but it was barely medium. Almost medium rare... on the edge. If the inside was a tiny bit warmer it would have been perfect. Still....pretty dang close. Lobster & shrimp cocktails were great they were cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious! Actually 3 sauces come together. Cocktail sauce, mustard sauce and fresh horseradish. All of them are yummy. Oysters on the half shell were good but very tiny! Order double what you think. Side dishes Mushroom w/ truffle oil, lobster mashed potato and broccolini were yummy.. The mushroom was a little bit on the salty side but it tasted great! Good taste of truffle. Lobster mash has big pieces of Lobster...which I guess justifies the $40 price. The desserts were very sweet for us. We got warm butter cake & pecan pie! It came with huge pile of fresh whipped cream . I mean huge!!! Like these desserts are for 3 people each. They were very good but just very sweet which isn't our taste but some will love this. Cocktail Drinks were good especially the Monkey Business(it is like whiskey sour but with pineapple & banana purée) And the cucumber Martini drink was really excellent.

Yelp
We decided to dine at Mastro's Steakhouse for my birthday. Our server was Momo; Danny was working the 2nd floor. (We dined on the 3rd floor). Our meal corse was Rib eye Steak, garlic potatoes, Onion Soup, and Mac N Cheese. Momo was attentive and a pleasure to converse off an on during our evening. Our steaks were a little under cooked this time. Hot plates were used to adjust the cook level to our liking. The ambiance an atmosphere was pleasant, but festive in a tamed way. Live music was soothing and delightful. All staff were friendly an attentive. My birthday meal ended with a slice of cheese cake and a bowl of freshly made cream. Yummy! Mastro's has proven to sustain their high standards on every occasion.

Yelp
In A Nutshell, Masteo's Is NOT Worth It. I have been coming here off and on for almost 20 years and noticed the transition from fun and great food to recently a CASH GRAB. Let me explain. (1) unnecessarily too dim of a lighting. You need your cellphone to look at the menu. (2) Way overpriced food for average quality. $100 a steak is a rip off especially when it's 30% fat and 20% bone. (3) waiters CONSTANTLY try to SELL SELL SELL SELL SELL SELL. (4) TOOOOO LOUD. NEVER AGAIN. WE SPENT $380 FOR 2 PEOPLE AND LEFT UNSATISFIED. THAT'S $190 each and Los Angeles Sucks

Yelp
Mastro's is a place that really knows how to make you feel special. I went to celebrate my birthday and from the moment we arrived, the attention was impeccable. They printed the name on the menu as a unique detail that I loved. The meat, as expected, was incredible: perfectly cooked and full of flavor. But what really gets the applause are the desserts. A real delight! The service was first class; the waiter was very attentive and made sure that everything was perfect throughout the evening. In addition, we were lucky enough to enjoy a table with a balcony for us, which made the experience even more special. I totally recommend trying the Lobster Smash Potato and the Lobster Mac n' Cheese. They are dishes that you can't stop trying if you visit the place. If you are looking for an elegant atmosphere, excellent food and exceptional service, Mastro's is the place you have to go, without a doubt. A super fancy experience that is worth!

Yelp
Amanda was great, service was kind and outstanding, plan a dinner during weekdays at Penthouse, we had a violonist young lady play violin for us. Mushroom side a must with Steak

Yelp
Every time I'm in town, I make it a point to visit one of the Mastro's locations with my closest friends--chosen family, really--and it's always an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, the service is exceptional, and I'm truly grateful that restaurants like this still exist. The food is consistently outstanding. I tried the twice baked caviar potato for the first time on this visit--absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be ordering it again. The Belvedere dirty martinis are one of the best I've ever had! Already looking forward to my next visit!

Yelp
Wasn't impressed by mastros the first couple of times I went, but this time was amazing. We got the wagyu ribeye which was the best steak I've ever had in my life. Melts in your mouth. Their drinks are also really good quality and delicious
