"Tonkatsu ramen, stuffed gyoza, myriad sushi rolls, and plenty of sake await at this popular restaurant, which sources its fish with an eye toward sustainability, following recommendations from the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch program. Masu’s cocktail menu is extensive and grouped by pairings: light drinks for nigiri and sashimi, fruity for rolls and appetizers, and earthy for meat and noodle dishes. Find it at South Street Dining on level three." - Justine Jones, Joy Summers

I had the best fried noodles(Yakisoba) here!! The noodles were crispy, and the flavor was delicious with generous amounts of veggies. I had shrimp for protein in my noodle. My daughter tried their mixed sushi Platter, and I got their California rolls. I didn't like the California rolls much, but she said she liked them. We had sake too. Julie, our server, was one of the best ones I have seen . She knows the Manu well and educates you well about every single dish, we asked a lot of questions, and I can tell she loves her job. In my opinion the prices are a bit high. The decor and ambiance were unique.

Masu Sushi & Robata is a great sushi restaurant located in the Mall of America. It's a bit tricky to find, as it's located on the 3rd floor, but it's worth the search. The restaurant has a traditional Japanese interior with a lot of seating places. I've been to Masu Sushi & Robata several times and I've always had a great meal. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and the service is excellent. The prices are a bit high, but I think it's worth it for the quality of food and service. The freshness of the ingredients shines through in every bite. From classic favorites like California rolls to more adventurous options, they have a wide variety to choose from. The attentive staff adds to the overall positive experience. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help with any questions or recommendations you might need. In summary, if you're craving delicious sushi in a traditional setting with plenty of seating, Masu Sushi at Mall of America is an excellent choice. It's a place where you can savor fantastic flavors and enjoy a comfortable dining atmosphere.

Really great ramen at this place! Surprisingly good ramen for being in a mall. The seaweed salad was one of the best I’ve had. I wish I would have added the spicy broth to my bowel of ramen. I’ve had better eggs in my ramen, but the broth had great flavor.

Took daughter for her birthday after doing some shopping. Sushi is awesome and service is stellar. Was not busy when we were there so no wait times and no crowd.

I had my 26th birthday dinner here on April 1st. It was last minute, I planned to go to Revolving Sushi but it was packed so I picked this place instead. I had been here once before 1.5 years ago and I'm glad I picked this again. The food was great nobody complained after thinking they wasted their money. I invited about 9 other people to join me. The yakisoba was my absolute favorite! The sushi could be better compared to other sushi I've had. I was looking for options with eel sauce and didn't see any. 2 of my friends sent their drinks back because they didn't like it and the waitress handled that well and replaced it with a different drink with no problem. I think the drinks were well made my friends just didn't like the taste which is understandable, everyone has a different palate.

This place was recommended by the staff at the airport information desk. It's in the mall of America. The place has authentic Japanese food. The portions are huge, and is flavorful I found it a bit salty. They have anime playing on the TV. There's many booths you can eat at. There's also a bar where you can get drinks and happy hour deals. The service was quick and great. The ambiance is good.

Google
Small venue inside the Mall of America, there are many other restaurants and choices to choose from but this restaurant caught our attention. I ordered the lychee martini, they had a great selection of signature cocktails and this one in particular was excellent, very delicate and refreshing. As appetizer, I ordered the bun with pork belly and for food I also tried the ramen with pork belly. The ramen was wonderful, the flavor of the soup was delicious, great flavor and had very fresh and tasty ingredients. I also appreciated the egg and the generous pieces of pork belly. Our server was very attentive and friendly. She welcomed us with water and continue to check on us during our stay. As far of the menu is limited, they have more choices for sushi, rice bowls and ramen. I did found the rice bowls and the seaweed salad pricey. But I would definitely revisit for more Ramen Noodles!!

Google
Went there with my son and had the best time! The rolls were outstanding: my favorite MOA roll. I had the best Lychee Martini. It was mixed so perfectly, not too sweet and not too sour. But here is one thing I almost never get to say: the hot tea was absolutely perfect and worth every sip! Strongly recommend!

Yelp
Very expensive mid food... so many better options out there compared to this place. The rice bowl was pretty good but for the portion, 17 is insane. The nikuman was super tiny for 5 dollars. The place is cute. The pachinko machines are so cool but I rather play that then eat here lol. The service was just ok

Yelp
Had a lovely time at the mall of America, and had a great time over lunch at Mass Sushi and Robata. The pork belly Ramen was excellent. Service was great and very friendly.

Yelp
A random visit to Masu on Saturday afternoon when the MOA was like a zoo really lit up the day. We were seated immediately and the food was served at lightning speed. The fried chicken was excellent. Sashimi was cut a bit too big, but everything else was great.

Leah T.

Yelp
I love their spicy tuna rolls. I ordered 2 of those along with 2 pieces of shrimp tempura. It was delicious. Service was great but I was expecting that due to the lack of guests. Overall a good experience but my bill got my items was a bit high $33.

Yelp
Oof. This was by far the worst thing we did on our trip to Minnesota. My husband and I had lunch here while walking through the mall (he wanted Long John Silvers, because he used to enjoy It but they have all vanished back home), but we couldn't find it. But we did find Masu. It looked cute so we took a booth. We started with a few tempura shrimp (sold by the piece). They were good. Nothing special, but that was expected. Also the bacon wrapped quail eggs. Again, these were fine but boring and kind of bland. My husband ordered the pork belly bun and I ordered the mushroom bun. Both of which were mediocre at best. Pork belly was oddly less flavorful than the mushroom bun. My karaage chicken was kind of hard. Not well seasoned. I didn't care for either of the sauces that came with it. My husband absolutely hated his chicken donburi bowl. That thing was like 80% very bitter vegetables. Usually he isn't a big veggie guy and he'll pick them out of whatever he is eating and I'll eat them. But I couldn't do it. They were too bitter and there was just too much of it! Overall, a disappointing experience and waste of time and stomach space on our vacation.

Yelp
It's definitely nice to have option for sushi at the mall. The atmosphere is nice and location is good- right by other restaurants on the 3rd floor. The service here has been better for us here then at the other Masu location in Minneapolis. However, I feel like Masu is quite expensive- not worth the cost for me as there are plenty of other good sushi restaurants in the area now. The pan fried ramen noodles were sweet and sour but just ok- still felt short. The ramen was pretty plain- needed more flavor in the broth. One think I noticed is that most of the rolls seem have have a sweet chili sauce, which really wasn't my cup of tea or I would recommend sticking to regular nigiri or sashimi instead of the sushi rolls. The only think I felt really stood out in terms or flavor was the pork belly steamed bun (the pork belly was juicy and the bun was nice and airy) and in terms of unique compared to other sushi restaurants were the fish eggs. There were a couple of different items we wanted but they didn't have it that day like the squid. Maybe Masu for the sushi just isn't for me.

Yelp
Okay. First off our bad to think mall sushi would be good. 2nd we didn't even get sushi, we got stuff off kids menu for our kiddo, we weren't too hungry. Tater tots and chicken nuggets seemed to come out of the Costco bag and over fried. Hard outer crust for our kiddo to bite through and even for ourselves. Bland food overall. Not impressed. Worried what the actual sushi could be like. Also got egg rolls.... Biggest disappointment. At least the ginger dipping sauce gave some saving Grace. Service was good. It got busy quick but our server was all over. She got us what we needed hence the 2 stars, all for the service, none for the food. Would not be back at all. Ambiance is quick sit and go. Not high end or romantic. Just another stop in the mall. Would not go back or recommend. Happy eating!

Yelp
I was so happy and surprised to get find this tasty place in a mall! We were tired after a whole day of walking around and shopping and of course super hungry. I tried their Curry Katsudon, crispy pork over rice in a rich curry sauce and it was really good! The sauce was a tiny bit too salty but I ordered additional rice. The pork was fried perfectly and crunchy. We also tried their Kimchi ramen which was fantastic! Crunchy kimchi in a rich, thick broth with chewy bouncy noodles - the best! This was great mall food and I will definitely check in next time I'm here. Eager to try their sushi!

Chassidie L.

Yelp
Another okay ramen place, but they are more known for their sushi! They have been awarded best sushi in the Twin Cities for multiple years! However, my friends and I decided to go for ramen since we are on an active ramen hunt. I got the Tonkatsu Curry Ramen ($15) and the chicken was delicious! I took it out and put it on a plate so it didn't get soggy from the broth. It stayed super crispy! However, the broth tasted very dense, heavy, and salty, so much to the point I could not finish it in one round. They have cool ramen flavors, but I should have realized that as a red flag for not so authentic ramen. We also got their duck gyoza ($9) which was pretty tasty! We just wish it had more crispiness on the bottom. As for their customer service... our server was wonderful, she always checked in and made sure we were having a please try experience! However, the host seating us (to be frank) was terrible. My friends and I got there first, but right after 2 more parties came. He didn't take down anyone's name or even try to remember that we were there first. He tried to bring in one of the parties that came after us, but the lady told him we were first. They really need to create a waitlist system or train the young man on how to become a host. To add, the food took almost 35 minutes to arrive to the table...

Yelp
We like Masu in general. Often time we only had their ramen for lunch or quick dinner since it's in the mall and my main goal is to shop. Ramen noodles are generally very chewy. Soaps are not oily as well. I have stopped by their location in minneapolis numbers of time for more formal meal with sushi, bento box and or ramen. I like their selection of ramen, Japanese sake and appetizers

Kile O.

Yelp
Easily the most unappetizing and cumbersome Churashi I have ever seen, tasted or attempted to eat. More a Churashi "Kit" than Bowl; it was all the ingredients piled together with chunks of fish the size of one's fist with no way to slice, divide or otherwise mix the dish. I have enjoyed this favorite dish of mine throughout Asia, in London, NYC and San Francisco; only here was I met with this careless concoction. Vast waste of $30

William K.

Yelp
Masu really knows how to do things right - especially at this MOA location! I do think this location is the best one in the Twin Cities. Service is top notch, very friendly and quick, and the food always tastes fresh. The sushi especially is excellent - but the pork belly ramen was especially tasty. Can't go wrong with that! The ambiance of the restaurant is also quite cool and makes you feel as if you're in Japan, with Japanese-themed decorations everywhere, Anime shows, and even Japanese slot machines (which you can't play). It you're asking yourself whether or not to trust that a mall would have good sushi or not, definitely come here, I do think this is one of the better sushi places in the Twin Cities.

Anne C.

Yelp
Can't believe I haven't written a review on Masu. We've been coming here for years because the kids love it. They have their usual which is kids ramen, rice, edaname and sometimes the tots and nuggets. Occasionally I'll get a ramen or buns. All the food is about three stars. What gives it a five? First, the food comes out record fast. That's an extra star for most parents out there. And for a Japanese place the nuggets and tots are really good. Where does the other star come in? Amazing service. I haven't have this level of great, consistent service in years... no matter what industry. There's three servers here that have our order memorized and they are all so nice. Kids r happy, food is decent and service is excellent.

Yelp
I came to Minnesota last month to go to both a Vikings and a Wild game. While I was in town, of course I had to check out the Mall of America. The food options were certainly plentiful, so I took the advice of the locals I was traveling with and stopped into this lovely little place. Contemporary Japanese decor adorned the walls, and I settled in to browse the menu. There were a few items in each small plates category, and a good variety of rolls, with a few nigiri offerings. If you come here, they should offer you a side paper menu with the rolls that they offer off the corporate menu, Mall of America exclusives. We were able to sample five things in our time here. Duck Gyoza (Scallions and Plum Soy Dipping Sauce) Very good. Strong duck flavor. But a little light on the crisping, so the texture was kind of one-note. Pork Belly Steamed Buns (with Hoisin and House Pickles) Unctious. That's the word to describe pork belly. Add the deep richness of the hoisin, and you need these pickles to cut through all that. Very good. Shrimp Tempura Steamed Buns (with Spicy Mayo, Cucumber and Radish) LOVE shrimp tempura on a bun. Crispy as heck with the ooey gooey mayo and the fresh veggies. Solid. Firecracker Roll (Shrimp Tempura, Crab, Avocado, Cucumber, Spicy Tuna, Chili Sauce and Spicy Mayo) Exactly how it sounds like. Solid roll. No complaints. I also got to try the Mall of America Roll. I don't remember what exactly was inside it, but I do remember that the ingredients did not sing together well enough to make me happy about paying the $20+ for it. I know times are tough in multiple ways, but re-engineer this roll, please. Overall, this was a good meal. Small plates, good Japanese drinks, good times. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in town.

Howard C.

Yelp
A little bland and a little over priced like a lot of things in the Mall of America. Not the place to go if you're trying to find something more interesting than typical mall fair

Jade W.

Yelp
The menu feels a little overpriced for the portion sizes. However, there aren't many options for sushi and Japanese food nearby. Also the location is in Mall of America, and I'm sure rent plays a factor. The portions are small, but the food is higher quality and they tend to have unique sushi flavor combinations. The service was lacking, but maybe we went a bad time. The restaurant was mostly empty, but there were instances where it felt like we had to wait too long for a water refill.

John S.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying I never review a restaurant. EVER. But this place warranted my review for a few reasons. 1. The service was abismal. Rude waitress, and the service was just bad. Very pushy. 2. The food was brought out at an alarming speed. The rice was definitely old and not the best. Fish tasted old too. 3. We ordered 3 sushi types, which came all on 1 plate. Not ideal 4. chicken karage was cold. Like if it was fried then microwaved. Look, maybe your experience will be better than mine but at this time, at this specific place.... It was not the deal. Spend your money elsewhere.

Marne M.

Yelp
Worst steamed buns I ever had and dumplings tasted overcooked. Definitely a waste of money

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Came here as family during our visit to the Mall of America. the child picked the restaurant, it is unassuming and didn't appear as a super hopeful food option, but we went along with it and were pleasantly surprised. As the non-fish eater, I ordered the Veggie power roll, my husband and child ordered a roll on their specials menu, and we all enjoyed the Gyoza. I was super suspicious ordering duck, as I grew up on wild duck and thus associate the flavor of duck meat with lead shot. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the light flavor and seasonings. The real highlights were the rolls, they both came with delicious sauces that really made the rolls. The veggies roll was a salad in a roll with plum, chili and basil sauce. The flavors melded exceptionally well. Would definitely visit again.

Nakita K.

Yelp
Excellent option. Johnathan was very hospitable and welcoming as we sat at the bar for my husbands birthday. We were so glad to find this restaurant as it had a great, more adult vibe, and still a very enjoyable chill atmosphere while we had our drinks and sushi. The sushi was delicious and we even got a kind birthday surprise to end the night! Thank you Masu, we will definitely be back.

Walt D.

Yelp
Sushi rolls were well put together and the plates looked fantastic, the staff are very friendly and welcoming to where felt as if were a regular even being 1st visit...service was great and would have to say is best sushi in Mall of America, definitely will return for more

Thomas S.

Yelp
Up from the sticks for some R&R and sushi was on my list. Friendly and welcoming environment. We sat at the bar and demolished some outstanding food. I recommend.

L S.

Yelp
Ate here once at MOA. Service is fine. Place is clean enough for being at MOA. Too expensive. Food was "edible" but not enjoyable. Just pick the food court, you will save money and enjoy your food more. It's MOA, the food is all rushed, overpriced, and poor quality.

Jonah S.

Yelp
This was a waste of time and stomach space on vacation. The location itself is actually really cutesy, and is a nice break from food court food stands, but aside from the decor being interesting for a few minutes, this place has nothing going on. The staff was fine, but my trip was pretty low maintenance, and there wasn't a lot of interaction between my server and myself. The food was just simply put not good. I ordered the pork belly steamed bun which was very bland for how thick it was. The belly itself was overcooked, and was a textural nightmare, it was hard, rubbery, and tough. The flavor was forgettable, too, as it pretty much just tasted like "texture" with nothing else going on. The bun itself felt like it was old, wasn't soft nor light, just a folded over puck of dough, with a slimy slaw and unappetizing pork stuffed inside. I also ordered the bacon wrapped quail eggs, which were tasty, but it was simply quail eggs with bacon, no kind of sauce, or spices, or anything, just really leaning heavily on the flavors of the two ingredients, which is fine, but nothing you need to eat, I'd never say oh man you're missing out on this piece of bacon wrapped around a small egg, it's simply just a couple of textures on a stick. I also ordered the teriyaki chicken donburi which was a nightmare. I rarely leave large portions behind when I eat out, but I could barely stomach this dish. The chicken was boiled chicken, that felt like it had been resting for hours, and was warmed over before being plated. Again, there was no sauce, or seasoning here, it was just a few pieces of dark meat bird, not even an entire breast, I had maybe three pieces of meat in the entire bowl. I ordered this without kimchi, as I typically don't like that many greens in a rice bowl, but it was still literally 60% boiled greens with no flavor. I ate about a third of the bowl, and left the rest behind. I got zero satisfaction from this donburi, and felt like I had wasted one of my meals for the day on it. For the price, this meal was a rip off. I didn't try any of the sushi, so maybe that's what they have going on, but if you're in this for a rice bowl or some small bites, you are going to be gutted by this one. Skip it!

Rj S.

Yelp
Went here for a quick lunch before my brother's flight. Overall it was a good place to go where they had a variety of choices on what you want to eat from a quick snack to a full meal. A good variety of alcohol as well. One thing I will say is they could do less with the presentation and make sure the flavor/quality of certain menu items are good. They are a little pricey for certain menu items as well. But I would definitely go there again and try other items. They also got rid of their happy hour which was clutch from what I remember.

Kristina P.

Yelp
Sushi and Kids food was really horrible Spicy kids food??? Really ? My son 3 years old and even for the an adult it was too much. no one warned us or said, in the menu is not indicated Service is too primitive

Rodrigo T.

Yelp
We had quite a bit of time to kill at the MSP airport. So we used it all up by coming to the Mall of America to have a late lunch. Plus my parents have never been to MOA, so yea,, at least they get to see it. Located on the 3rd floor close to the food court. The restaurant is pretty easy to spot. Menu's are posted by the door so you can check out their offerings. My mom looked at it and we proceeded to get seated. Let's jump right into the food shall we. Okonomiyaki Tots: This was pretty good, i was clearly thinking differently when I imagined how these guys were going to come out, but its pretty much tater tots dressed in Okonimiyaki sauce and condiments. I dont know why, bit i feel cheated. Yakisoba: Pan fried buckwheat noodles. I uh,,, i dont think these were soba noodles. BUT! It was pretty good. Steamed Buns: The hubby went for the trifecta on this one. Chicken was ok, Pork Belly was pretty good and the best is the Shrimp. A little heavy on the steamed buns tho. Duck Gyoza: I was totally excited for this order. I totally thought it was going to be lamazing, but it was kind of a wash. Just sounds great on paper. The place is really nice. Big giant trendy geisha face on the wall is definitely intagram strong. Staff is very attentive which is a very good thing. If i wasnt such a snoot, the food here would probably win. But it's ok, it's not bad either. Biggest offense i can cite is the tea. The cast iron cups were hella rusty. The weight definitely feels great, but the mineral irony taste is a bit gross. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!

Chris U.

Yelp
If you've had real Japanese food, you know this isn't it. Crunchy roll was plain and dunked with mayo. Chicken robata dunked in hot wing sauce. Broccoli robata dunked with 7 spice Chicken katsu don.... a little bit of chicken in a bowl of American buttery gravy

Rachael B.

Yelp
The food is 4 stars, but I took a star off for the price, which I felt was too high. Our server was great! If you're in MOA craving sushi and an escape from the crowds, it might be worth the price... but I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

Liz P.

Yelp
Located on level 3, South area of MOA. Stopped in for a quick dinner. Was greeted right away in front by the host and shown to our seats. Our server was fast and friendly. Tried the Pork Belly Ramen. Which included Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder with Poached Egg, Fish Cake and Wakame. Came in a small-medium sized bowl but was very fulfilling. Pork Belly skin was crispy. Roasted pork should was tender. Egg was soft. Love the green placemats that matches the restaurant decor/theme. Booth seats were comfy. Again service was awesome and would like to come back and try other items in the near future.

Graham K.

Yelp
Went here at about 3 in the afternoon with my mom, dad, and sister. It was slow, but that was expected. The interior has a very modern Japanese vibe with larger than life geisha eyes on one wall. Our waitress was incredibly bubbly and we ordered three different cocktails (20% off if you check in on Yelp). All three were pretty good and ran about $9 each. For our meal, we got the rainbow roll and the firecracker roll, then my dad and I each for the Omakase (Japanese for chef's choice, $21 per person and requires at least 2 people) The picture shown is everything we ordered. Overall the taste was fine. Fresh flavors, clean plating. Its just that for how much we paid (especially for a mall restaurant), there just wasn't a lot of food. Also, the fish combinations were just not very innovative or unique.

Jack L.

Yelp
I enjoyed this atmosphere a lot, especially when I was on a business trip and looking for corner seating for my lonely self. The presentation of the food impressed me, comparing to many other Japanese curry that I have eaten. However, the taste is lacking a couple layers. First of all, I didn't enjoy the thinned pork cutlet a lot, and it did tasted like Korean style katsu with the sweet sauce. While I didn't expect the authenticity of a full Japanese restaurant, but that is the first time I tasted a dongaseu in a Japanese restaurant.

Jim C.

Yelp
Until my visit to Masu Sushi & Robata, I had never been to a sushi place inside of a mall. Our server, Julie, was super happy and very friendly. For food, I had the MOA roll, which was really good. My wife had the California roll; she said they were decent, but a bit on the dry side. I washed down my sushi with a Sapporo Black, which was the first time I had ever had it. Since my back was to the entrance, it was easy for me to forget that I was inside of a mall. I would not hesitate to return here, especially if I could sit in Julie's section again.

Lily F.

Yelp
On the outside, it looks like this place has some major potential and maybe if you've never had decent Japanese food before it'd be okay, but I did not like our meal. We ordered some calamari and it was by far the best thing, although all of the pieces were really tiny. For our main meal, I ordered the curry rice while my bf ordered the ramen. Just no. The curry tasted off, the rice was poorly cooked and the pork cutlet was overly dried. I didn't even all my rice. Come on, guys. I always eat all of my rice. My bf's noodles had absolutely no flavor in the broth. I didn't even want to eat it when he offered me more. We also split a sushi roll. The roll was tasteless with too much rice and extremely poorly made. It looked like those pre-made things that you see at Trader Joe's. Just no again. The only saving grace was the bartender there. After hanging around for a couple of hours chatting off and on with him, my bf and I decided that he was probably the best thing there. He told us that after working there it made him want to go to Japan and eat Japanese food. Yes, young man. Go to Japan and go eat some real food. Then return back to Masu and help the poor cooks in the kitchen. Not sure how the other location is compared to this one, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who's ever had even decent Wal-Mart sushi.

Clara S.

Yelp
I was craving sushi but wanted to explore Mall of America- so I ventured to the only sushi restaurant in Mall of America (I don't count Crave or Nordstrom's sushi restaurant). Though it seemed kinda hectic and not the greatest quality from the outside of the restaurant, I walked right in and sat the bar. The bartender was so accommodating and helpful- service was super quick. As for the actual food, the sashimi was of decent taste and quality. I also tried some robata skewers- the pork belly was delicious. The broccoli was just charred broccoli pieces and very underwhelming. The bacon wrapped quail egg wasn't very good. The bacon was good, but the quail egg was kind of weird. Overall, the food was decent, definitely what you would expect from a sushi restaurant at a mall I guess.

Sehee S.

Yelp
Summary: Located on the third floor of Mall of America, they are best known for their sushi rolls! Enjoy bowls of ramen, amazing fried tofu, or rolls of sushi as Shokugeki No Soma (Food Wars!) plays in the background. Interesting place to check out, but I'll probably pass on the ramen next time. Food/pricing: This place has a lot to offer! My friends and I love ramen/Yakisoba so 2 of us got the Chicken Kimchi Ramen ($12), while the other two ordered Pork Belly Ramen ($13), and Yakisoba ($10). The ramens looked amazing! Both included mushroom, fish cake, egg, seaweed, and the desired meat. The pork belly looked so appetizing that even my friend who refuses to eat pork admitted that it looked tempting to try ("like it would give a satisfying crunch"). However, my friends were dissatisfied with the broth of both ramens. If you're like me and can eat anything you might not even mind the taste. It's not the worst I've ever had, but definitely lacked the savory "umami" flavor in typical Japanese ramen. I also thought portion-wise was a bit smaller for the price. I've seen ramen about the same price but offer it in deep steaming bowls! Overall, mediocre ramen but exceptional in presentation. The Yakisoba was probably the best dish. The fried tofu in it was the best part and the sauce! Wow, definitely a must try for any tofu/Yakisoba lovers. For the price, the plate does offer a lot, so my friend was pretty happy about that. Service: Our server was patient, kind, and informative. We were asking for all sorts of things and she handled our requests with ease and kindness. However, water refills were nonexistent but we were the only ones seated in a small area so we could have easily called someone over. Overall, great & helpful service. Note- Social distancing is enforced, restaurants close WAY later than the mall, and there's no bathroom (from what I saw) inside the restaurant. Servers sanitized and wore masks.

Yelp
We were craving Japanese cuisine. I order the teriyaki chicken. It was very heavy on the veggies. I expected more chicken considering that's the name of the dish. My husband had the spicy tuna. His 6 piece sushi cost just as much my bowl that's 3x the size. The pork buns were delicious. I would order those again. This place was good but nothing special. Staff was wearing masks and tables were separated. We greatly appreciate that!

Yelp
The chirashizushi was delicious and their miso soup was on point. Came here with the kiddo and she had the nuggets with tots; it was surprisingly good. Nuggets taste almost like McDs nuggets. Its always a plus when place has something for the kid, cause she's really picky. Service was good and ambiance was relax and good. Will return to try other menu items; they look really good.

Yelp
So I first ate here many years ago on my very first trip to Minnesota and the famous Mall of America! Fast forward 3 years later I have returned to this delicious restaurant. Eating with a baby is never easy! So we sat down, ordered a bowl of rice for the baby and two rolls for ourself to quickly scarf down. We got the spicy inawa roll and the crunch spicy salmon. The food came out quickly and was presented on a beautiful plate. The spicy inawa roll was pretty good but the spicy crunchy salmon blew it out of water. The roll was loaded with fresh, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth salmon and avocado, wrapped with seaweed and rice and topped with tons of spicy crunchy tempura flakes and jalapeño slices. Absolutely delicious! Service was friendly and efficient too! I'm coming back to try the ramen since I saw a sign saying they won 2018 best ramen!

Yelp
Came back with family this time. 5 stars all over again. We are vegetarians and they have a special vegetarian/vegan menu. We ordered Vegetarian spring rolls, mushroom buns, tofu Yaki soba, veggie caterpillar sushi rolls. Taste, service, quantity and quality all 5 stars!

Yelp
Giving this place three stars because we had spectacular service. Otherwise, this place is a no from me. From the outside, this place looks phenomenal. But after ordering the Curry Katsudon and the Firecracker Roll ($13.50 for Happy Hour btw), this place was definitely not worth my money. I will start off with the Curry Katsudon: the meat was overdone, so dry and also so small! It was 90% rice and 10% meat. The curry was subpar and the vegetable tasted off. $13 for this dish is asking for too much, especially with the low quality food presented. The Firecracker Roll was very disappointing... To think I could've paid $16 for this roll blows my mind. It did not taste fresh at all, and did not taste too great either... Even though you may have a strong craving for sushi, do not come here.

Yelp
I do not like it ... My water was too sweet and it was groes cold but it wasn't good too but it wasn't good but it wasn't too bad and it was cold and cold outside and it wasn't good enough to

Yelp
Duck gyoza. I should have known better, but I was feeling adventurous. Yuck! The Sapporo and ginger whiskey saved me! The pachinko machines lured us in, and they do not work. No thanks, I think I'll pass next time.

Yelp
My first time here and I am so disappointed in the food. Service was good but food was low grade! Their steamed pork buns were cold and soggy. $3.50 each and not worth it! i also ordered their gyudon which is their Braised beef donburi rice bowl and it was also disappointing! Rice seemed very wet. Beef was just little chunks of beef lightly marinated and sautéed into the dish. The veggies were super undercooked like it was thrown into the stir fry mix for only 30 seconds. The dish overall was only slightly seasoned. Ugh. I have never been so dissatisfied with food. I won't be returning that's for sure. Also, if you want good sushi, i suggest elsewhere. The menu is super limited and their rolls I feel like run pricey for how basic they are.

Yelp
There we were walking to get ribs at place on the south side of the mall. We walked by Masu and both of us were immediately preferring the sushi and awesome vibe coming from within. It was a great decision to change course. Anita was the bartender/server/extra awesome gal who made the 5th star stick. Her recommendations one and all were all winners. I got a whisky drink called the Tottie. Very good. Also a "Tragic story of Youth". A gin mixer that with the grapefruit.. well you BETTER like grapefruit for this one. Then we ordered 2 rolls, the dynamite which was excellent and a poké roll. For a ramen we got a Tonkatsu. A decent bowl, coulda had more kicking flavorful and the noodles were just average. To top thing off, they have Japanese pinball that looks like slot machines. Interesting. Ambiance was as good as it gets for a "mall restaurant" and the food was solid too. Great spot.

Yelp
This restaurant is located on the 4th level in the Mall of America, next to Bubble Tea and very close to the barbeque restaurant, formerly known as Famous Dave's. The service was decent and the order was ramen with beef shortrib soup along with duck pot stickers. The ramen was about average but the pot stickers were very tasty and smaller than most sized appetizers. Overall a decent place to have a dinner at the mall of America

Yelp
Anita is the best! Very knowledgeable and fun! I recommend the curry katsu donburi! Definitely a returning customer.
