East Atlanta Village Restaurant Banshee Opens its New Patio Bar and Karma Farm Moves to Savi Provisions in Buckhead, Atlanta - Eater Atlanta

"Match Bamboo Lounge, the tiki-style bar and restaurant on Walker Street, is now Match Bar and Oven. A tipster tells Eater, the restaurant serves New York-style flatbread and focaccia pizzas, alongside wings, burgers, and truffle fries. Food can be paired with cocktails such as a margarita, Painkiller, and “Big Ass Doubles”, basically two drinks in one." - Beth McKibben

Match 65 is a hidden gem! The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We had [you can add your favorite dishes here if you’d like], and everything was spot-on. The atmosphere is cozy yet stylish, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they care about both the food and the experience. Highly recommend if you’re in the area — we’ll definitely be coming back!

Delicious French food with beautiful presentation. We had no reservation and the host was so friendly and accommodating. Definitely would like to come back to try more dishes.

Google
Stylish tiny bistro that found me a place at the crowded bar where the bar tended raced to keep up with the orders. The pate was nothing special, the fries were ridiculously expensive. The quaintness and location support the prices. Picturesque. I wouldnt return, even if it was empty.

Google
This place has become the go-to for us whenever there’s an event at the Roosevelt house. The price is extremely reasonable for what they serve. And amongst all French restaurants we have been to, in NYC and central NJ, this is the best.

Meoppies

Google
Service was fantastic, food was absolutely delicious, and it's one of the cheapest places you can eat in Manhattan (that's still not very cheap). Definitely would come here again. I don't recommend the bar, though, tiny drinks for crazy prices.

Order placed via Uber. A burger with fries, with extra egg, avocado, and bacon. The burger arrived completely crushed and destroyed. The bun was soggy. It was inedible and disgusting. On top of that, the fries were cold and limp — obviously, everything was thrown into the same container. Avoid this place at all costs!!!

We recently enjoyed an alfresco dinner here and everyone enjoyed the pleasant evening meal. We ordered a variety of dishes, classics made with quality ingredients. The Caesar salad, chicken and even ravioli were fantastic. Chilean sea bass special was good but didn't warrant the price. Wines were great but the martini cocktails were too sweet. The owner/manager was extremely courteous and accommodating but our server, though polite, seemed distracted and rushed. Overall a positive experience and we'd be back.

We recently enjoyed lunch here and everyone enjoyed the meal. We ordered a variety of dishes, classics made with quality ingredients. The Caesar salad, chicken and steak with fries with wine hit the spot! Overall a positive experience and we'd be back.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurant in the area!! I have been coming to Match 65 for 4 years and its consistently been good! I often do lunch meetings at this location, because the atmosphere is intimate and reads french chic. The bar is one of my favorite spaces, it's small with a wide variety of all your favorite spirits and wine. The bar tenders are always top tier. I generally make reservations online, they are on open table. I am always seated promptly and greated with enthusiasm. The hostess is extremely sweet and the wait staff and servers are very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I haven't even talked about the best part .... the food! Everything is really delicious, from the salads to the milanese. One of my personal favorites is the burger, it's a nice sized, tasty portion that's perfect for a filling lunch. French fries are crisped to perfection and perfectly salted. The three cheese mac and cheese augratin is a great entree or as an appetizer to share!! The chicken paillard and croque monsieur are bomb and very popular menu items. The owner and her son often work in the restaurant from time to time and they are lovely. Remembering repeat customers and welcoming to new comers.

Yelp
We try to come here a couple times a year and we always learn. One item that we always order is the escargot, of course they are amazing, but you'd expect they would be considering this as a cute little French bistro. Another one of my favorites is there ravioli stuffed with short ribs I believe maybe it's full of menu doesn't matter it's amazing. We do enjoy it here

Yelp
Have come here for a couple date nights and it's one of our local favorites! Absolutely recommend their salmon tartar and the steak and frites. Service is always top notch too. Just be aware the space is tight, and on weekend nights it can get pretty crowded but nothing unusual for NYC dining.

Yelp
I really liked this bistro. I met my daughter here on the cold snowing day. The restaurant definitely reminds me of Paris. The staff was very friendly I had the moules-frites and the muscles and broth were very good. The portion size was also just right.

Yelp
We were planning a visit to the Central Park Zoo, and wondering where to eat. Google Maps came to the rescue showing us this French restaurant a mere block from the zoo entrance. If you have ever been to Paris, walking into the Brasserie will give you a strong sense of deja vu. We were promptly seated and informed of the day's specials. If money were no object, I'd have gone for the rack of lamb, but sensibility took over and chose the crowue monsieur instead. The service was beyond competent and into elegant territory. We basgan with a crock of the French onion soup, which was as good as any we've tasted. My croque monsieur was simply the best I'd ever tasted. Donna's salad was excellent, and sharing all around made for a balanced diet. the prices were on the high end, but you get what you pay for. Can't wait to go back in the spring, eat outdoors and pretend I'm in an Eric Rohmer movie.

Yelp
I'm a pretty tough critic of french food. I'll start with - the food is a 3, but the desserts are a 5 - so I'm giving it a 4. The steak frites was good but nothing special and the burger was quite small. The desserts though - wow. The crepe is a must. And the creme brulee is so good. Inside is very cozy and its a nice quick spot by central park. Would come back again for the desserts!

Yelp
This has to be the only French restaurant that makes a Chèvre Chaud salad WITHOUT chèvre. I ordered a chèvre chaud salad for delivery through Uber eats and got a salad with no chèvre. They had no problem charging the full price.
google avatar

Maggie D.

Yelp
We ordered lunch today and within 45 minutes to an hour after eating, we became violently ill. I won't go into details but it was clearly food poisoning. The delivery arrived late and everything was lukewarm. We ordered French onion soup, penne pasta with a cream sauce and fish and chips. We're not sure what the culprit was but I was so sick that I had to go to the ER. I would definitely stay away from this restaurant.

Alexei G.

Yelp
Looks like a great place, but we were not able to enjoy it. Two of us wanted a table outside, however hostess told us that tables outside are only for a group of four. Explanation goes as: we are a small restaurant and we cannot afford to loose business... Anyway we went to a Le Bilboquet great food, experience and customer accommodations!
google avatar

Yelp
The restaurant itself is cute and gives French vibes. The folks who work there are pleasant and professional. My food was just okay. The fries were a bit too greasy. The salmon in the salad was cooked well and the salad had a great dressing ratio, not too much, not too little but nothing amazing.
google avatar

Heather A.

Yelp
Cute lil spot w friendly staff, that had the food made to our liking & discretion. Small cozy space, felt very comfortable. We weren't rushed at all.
google avatar

Klara C.

Yelp
They were somewhat busy. There were some street parking nearby. We were sat pretty quickly but it took us a long time to get some water and to put some drinks in. We weren't even asked if we were ready to put any food in after our drink order before our server left the table. After our drinks came, it took awhile before she came back to take our order. We ordered the mussels and prime rib tartare. For my drink, I ordered the La Priscine Rosee which was just ok. The prime rib tartare was good but the mussels [not on the menu] had too much lemon in the broth. Overall an okay experience, not sure if I'd come back.

Yelp
I ordered delivery from this restaurant and it was a big mistake. The order was late and when it did arrive, it was missing the fried calamari (which was about half of my entire order that was missing from the delivery). The restaurant never called to let me know and when I did call them letting them know it was missing they said they ran out and I would have to send an email to the manager to get my money back. I told the person on the phone that it was pretty unprofessional to not call customers letting them know that they didn't have an item available that I had ordered. She said ok, have a nice night and just hung up. No apology. Now about the food. We got the tuna tartare and the fish was fresh but the ponzu sauce was not good. The burger was so soggy, my husband ate half of it and threw the rest out. The parmesan truffle fries that came with it were gross. Undercooked and soggy at the same time. I wouldn't order from here again or dine here. I'd rather go to brasserie cognac where the food is so much better.

Yelp
TLDR: great service, cramped location, expensive hit or miss food, small portions This is a very intimate location, when not busy I'm sure it could be quite romantic. However, usually a few couples out to dinner will result in a bottle neck to get to a table and very crowded feeling. Trying to leave took five minutes Some of the food is great, some is not. Generally the food that is very good does not have great portions. Overall think it is far too pricy for the experience. Some of the biggest let downs have been desserts. The chocolate lava cake, which was so heavy with almond essence you couldn't taste the chocolate, and the chocolate mousse which lacked flavor overall. French fries are incredible, and salmon is typically consistent. Waitstaff is very polite, helpful, and attentive. Two people each getting a drink and appetizer you will very easily spend $200 (tip included) Pictured: Duck a l'orange (excellent flavor of duck and sauce, flavorless spinach and potatoes. Wish there was more than two slices of duck) Eggplant Napoleon (very poor texture, basic red sauce with olives. Meh ‍)

Yelp
Nothing really stood out to me about this place. Nothing exceptionally bad, nothing exceptionally great. To be fair to them my food picks were also nothing special, but I can't say the ambiance or service wowed me enough to pull me back in for a second go either. Got the eggs Benedict with the salmon and Parmesan truffle fries. The fries were good and there were a *lot*, which I did appreciate. Got to try my friend's latte, and to be honest it felt like the coffee was burnt, if that's a thing? It was exceptionally bitter. Our servers were fine, but towards the end of our meal it did end up feeling like they were ready for us to be done with how often they were checking in.

Yelp
I've been here twice in the past two weeks and have had a nice time during each visit. The ambiance is wonderful here...feels like a real French bistro and the amber-ish lighting is cozy and relaxing. Cocktails are great....their rye old fashioned is always perfect. At both visits I've started with a Caesar salad and it's one of my favorite salads. Also at both visits I've had the steak frites. Generous portion of steak, excellent flavor and more fries than I can eat. And I can eat a lot of fries. As great as everything else is, the desserts are consistently wonderful. The apple tarte tatin and the creme brulee and really, really good. Service is nice and friendly although there are large gaps between the server checking in so getting another drink or the check can sometimes take awhile. But I think that's because it's a popular bustling place. Definitely want to put this one in regular rotation. The fact that it's almost exactly a mile from my apartment makes for a nice walk home after a filling dinner.

Yelp
Just awful service especially the rude bus boy was so slow, and the food was way overpriced I guess people around there are happy to pay for mediocre food Will never return

Yelp
After calling and making a short notice reservation (even though it wasn't needed as restaurant was empty) for our 11th Anniversary we were seated and everything went normal. Restaurant was pricy but whatever, it was a special occasion. As I go pay my overpriced check of almost $300, (again, this was fine as it was a special occasion) I leave a tip (even though it wasn't mandatory) but nothing was done special for us, nothing above and beyond, and service was "OK" it wasn't bad, but it was normal. We did spend almost $100 just in drinks. This dude out of nowhere approaches me and harangues me for leaving such a measly tip ($20 for clarity purpose) immediately starts shouting and calling me out in front of my family and other guests, he then leaves, and comes back to do it again, after I politely told him I understood, he leaves again, to come back a third time to keep hammering this out in everyone's view. What a disappointing experience to an excellent meal. The food was great (even thought the panna cota was a little runny), the drinks were nice although over priced as well, but the whole evening was left with a massive bad taste. Go for good pricy food, avoid for management.

Yelp
We had a lovely outdoor meal here on an unseasonably warm fall evening based on a local friend's recommendation. Service was good despite being hampered by some demanding diners at another table. I tried the carbonara and my partner got steak frites-- both were delicious!

Yelp
Had a great dinner here. I had an espresso martini which was sweeter than it might be at other places, but still pretty good. The espresso flavor wasn't that strong. Great food. Loved the mushroom ravioli, which was pretty filling. The mushrooms were prepared well and tasted great rather than being drowned out by the ravioli and the sauce. Tuna tartare was also a delicious appetizer Service was great although at one point when they were explaining the menu, I found it hard to follow because of all the french. They noticed quickly if our waters needed refilling or if we needed extra bread. The inside of the restaurant is a really romantic atmosphere, perfect for dinner.

Alexander B.

Yelp
First time we came the food was so so and the restaurant was very noisy We tried it again for a late lunch As it was still Very noisy, we sat out in the shed connected to the building I asked for coffee and They brought the appetizers out to us we had to wait an hour for the main course We got up and left

Yelp
High quality bistro fare with great service. Went there on Christmas Day with a large party. Ordered lots of appetizers and a few mains to share. One of those rare occasions where everything was just amazing.

Yelp
Ordered Croquet Madame to go and it was perfect! I ordered on the uber eats app while waiting in my car nearby during a Monday post lunch hour. My order came out quite quickly, although take the business of the restaurant and how many staff they have on hand.

Yelp
I like Match. I like the whole concept: a small, cozy, genuine French brasserie in New York City just off Madison Avenue and a block from Central Park. Sidewalk seating with good people watching, good authentic French bistro fare...it's all very pleasant albeit a bit pricy. But as a whole experience it's so worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a lovely dinner here on a Friday night. Food was fab, pickle was soggy, but overall would come back. There's def better French food in the city, but if you're walking home from the MET and are feeling ravenous, this is a perfect place to stop into.

Yelp
"Never again!" How many times do I have to tell myself "Never again will I go to Match 65"? Why don't I listen to my own advice?! The food quality continues to fall, and the prices continue to rise...and the service and hospitality long ago plateaued at zero. Why did I keep giving them another chance? Is it because this cozy French bistro is in my neighborhood and convenient? Is it because I love the rose-hued lighting, and the concept of a French café in the middle of bustling Manhattan? Am I a masochist? Do I enjoy that such a small place always welcomes a regular like a stranger? One night, a few months ago, the manager apparently called in to ask how it was going. The lazy waiter replied 'Very smoothly." I wanted to grab the phone from her hands and tell the truth: "The service is terrible. The ball had been dropped all night long and uniformly, across front- and back-of- house.... Tonight was worse than ever. A total lack of hospitality and dreadful food, with a through-the-roof bill... Never again. I swear....So frustrating to me, because it has the bones to be truly great. .

Daria L.

Yelp
What a lovely place! Food was delicious: steak tartar was one of the best I have ever tried, mushroom ravioli were so rich, and crepe Suzette stole the show. Service was very quick, and everyone treated us with such warmth and attention as if we were regulars. It made our evening out truly special. Charming interior, good wine list.

Rhonda C.

Yelp
Overpriced. Food was ok. Had a 5pm reservation and at 7pm, they came to our table after we spent $400 to kick us out of the table. Said we could go to the bar but didn't offer a drink or anything, just stood over us and waited til we paid the hefty bill (5 ppl, 1 drink each, 3 meals and 3 appetizers) and left. Won't go back, I recommend you only go if you don't want to stay long at your table and want mediocre food at a high price.

Kyoung Im K.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I, both Asian, decided to embark on a lunchtime escapade with our precious little angels. With two adorable 3.5 yo daughters in tow, we requested a table outside, considering the inconvenience our strollers might pose to the patrons inside. The manager looked at us and immediately declined our humble request, without any explanation beside "we don't have any space." Needless to say the place was mostly empty outside. I dared to persist and offered to fold our strollers if this was an issue. After a short back and forth, the manager gave up and decided to display a grand show of hospitality by unceremoniously placing our folded strollers next to the trash on the sidewalk and sitting us at the most sunny table, probably to work on our daughters' suntan for the summer. Such impeccable taste! Lo and behold, a few moments later, a white couple shows up and waltz into the the restaurant with their (unfolded) stroller greeted by a smiling manager. Interesting decision-making process! The food is good, and the staff friendly and trying to help. However, dear reader, do ponder twice before venturing to this exquisite restaurant if you possess the audacity of having children. Or being Asian? Who knows.

Yelp
Mussels and steak tartare were delicious! Wonderful ambiance and service. The food here never disappoints! Love Match 65!
google avatar

Latha P.

Yelp
Excellent ambience, service and food. My friend and I went for our usual Sunday brunch. I got the croque madame with truffle fries and my friend the mussels. The croque madame was served with cheese over bread. Truffle fries were really good. Mussels were served in wine and butter sauce which my friend loved. Coffee was okay not great. I look forward to trying their pasta sometime.

Yelp
Lively, energetic and full of ambiance. Match 65 Brasserie is where you come to sit, enjoy the bread and French butter, sip on a glass of wine or two, and not worry about your waiter not coming to table every so often. The service may be slow, but you don't mind because the conversations are flowing and the food and drinks are good. Come to Match 65 to enjoy a classic French meal and enjoy the energy.

Patrick M.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant and fantastic food for a family night out. Everything was good, but tuna tartare and coq au Vin were the best.

John T.

Yelp
The good: Chicken salad was good. Lettuce perfect. Not served with dressing on the side as requested but ah, well No junk fees. No add-ons for cheese or credit. What you see is what they charge. The bad: burger was requested medium rare. Burger arrived well done. Pity since it was a good piece of beef.

Blake A.

Yelp
I ordered a salmon salad and got this insanely small piece of fish. Crazy crazy crazy to charge $30 for this

Yelp
Came here for lunch after reading Yelp reviews as we had an appointment in the area... The ambiance is fantastic and decked out for the holidays even more so. Found the service to be very attentive and friendly. Food was absolutely amazing! My husband got the steak frites - cooked to a perfect medium rare and I got the Poulet Roti Forestiere (roast chicken with mushroom sauce) - Huge portion and really really really good!!!! We started with the soups - i had the soup of the day (broccoli and... don't remember but again, delicious) and French onion soup. Didn't get dessert but the ones we saw going out looked amazing. Generous pours on the wine by the glass and someone was right there when you needed a refill on your water. I would highly recommend and would go back in a heartbeat!

Yelp
Lovely bistro ambience and plenty Of staffing. Unfortunately the noise level is high and the food quality was mediocre at best. Crab cake at 25$ was bland. Escargot tasted old. Little pieces of snails. Calamari was not freshly made. Steak frites was fatty and not very tasty. Will not return. Prices high and quality low.

Yelp
Incredible service, food, and drinks. Our trip to Central Park Zoo ended here and I couldn't have been happier.
google avatar

Christina R.

Yelp
Came in on a Saturday around 4 pm. We sat promptly although it was weird that they asked us if we will be done by 5....(?) I guess they get busy then. I thought it was a little impolite but anyway. I ordered the Amish chicken and it was amazing!! The portion was great and the mushroom sauce was so good! The chicken was tender and tasted great! The fries were also delicious because they're so thin and crispy. My husband said his burger was over done and dry. He didn't like that the bun was too much bread either. Overall, we had a nice lunch but it was also a bit pricy.
google avatar

Malgosia L.

Yelp
I have to say, the food was rather underwhelming. But the wine list quite amazing. The steak was great, the cut of meat excellent, the fries....not so much. The chicken Paillarde was burnt heavily on the edges, and the salad on top was very unexceptional, something you can easily get at Panera for the fraction of the price. The Pate of duck foie gras was tasty but it was supposed to come with "crostini" and it came with toasted white bread, I wondered if it was Wonderbread. The bread basket served at the beginning was also a little strange. It was not a French bread, it was something you can get at Eastern European Markets. It was served with butter so firmly chilled that this soft bread was disintegrating during the spreading of butter. I know those are small things and I wouldn't even mention them if it wasn't for the fact that this was supposed to be upscale place. Perhaps we went with too high expectations? The meal was saved by the most delicious crepe flambé with Grand Marnier. Delicious! One appetizer, two entrées, carafe of wine (half a bottle) and dessert, over $200. We had a great lady waiting on us but, just like everywhere these days, the tables are so close to each other I can hear the person at the table next to me better that the one sitting across from me (my partner). Not a very intimate experience.

Yelp
This place brought me right back to Paris. From the French speaking servers to the decor I felt more like I was in Paris than NYC. The location is easy walking distance to the Met and Frick Collection. The restaurant itself is somewhat small but since there was room they didn't seat everyone on top of each other. There is a small bar in the front where you can also eat if it's crowded. The decor inside looked just like restaurants you see in Paris. Service was excellent. Our waitress spoke English and French (like others there). I loved being greeted with Bonjour. She was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent as well. My friend ordered a dish that she didn't like and there was no issue at all changing it for her (and removing the charge for the first dish). They were actually really nice and even apologetic about it. Unlike other restaurants in this area you don't have that pretentious feeling here. They are warm and welcoming and the restaurant is cozy and cute. I will definitely will be back when I'm in the area again.

Yelp
Went there after going to the zoo with family. It's a really nice little Brasserie, well put together place makes you feel like you are in France.

Yelp
Went for NYC Restaurant Week Lunch Food - 4/5. Bread had good bite to it and I liked that the butter came with a logo cover but it was ice cold and hard to spread. The sesame soy sauce on the salmon tartare was nice but the salmon itself had a strong odor to it which was unpleasant. Mushroom raviolis fillings were very bland but the butter sauce helped with its richness. Crepes au nutella had good browning on them and the dulce de leche ice cream was a great sweet and creamy topping. Service - 4/5. The service was timely for the amount of people in the restaurant at the time. Value - 4/5. The food was pretty good but not the greatest at a $29 restaurant week price point. The entree options were quiet limited without a huge surcharge. Parking - Street (Metered)

Yelp
We visited this restaurant at around 5 PM on a weekday after a long afternoon at the MET. It was pretty much empty. We waited 10 minutes to be seated, but still no one approached us. Several employees and who I assume to be the manager saw us waiting but ignored us and continued their conversations. We even walked up to them, hoping to finally get a table, and they didn't even glance at us. 5 PM is within their business hours so I'm not sure what the issue was but regardless, we will not be returning to this restaurant. Beware of their overpriced food ($60 + tax for a steak with a couple fries is extremely unreasonable especially when there are so many better/reviewed restaurants in NY that serve the same dish) and their disrespect towards potential customers.

Yelp
We chose this restaurant because it was close to Central Park and I have a picky eater with me, was hoping for more pasta selections. The main takeaway: overpriced. Like crazy overpriced. The wine list was like making a car payment on a drink. $20 burgers. My boyfriend ordered the carbonara, and while it was rich and good, it wasn't worth what we paid for it by any means. Olive Garden could've done just as good of a job. Even the free bread was flimsy and just sucked, to be frank. I spent $176 on two meals, an appetizer and two drinks. I ordered mussels and can assure you I've gotten fatter, better tasting mussels in Chicago bars than these. Waitress had such a heavy accent it was difficult to understand her, which is totally fine, but what made it not fine was her attitude. Don't get mad at people who don't speak your native language and are politely asking "I'm sorry, can you repeat that?" I was nothing but kind to her, but by the end of the dinner I was fearful of even trying to engage her. Overpriced overpriced overpriced is all I can say. As a tourist with limited time in New York, I am regretful I chose this restaurant as our dinner before night-time festivities.

Yelp
The food and drinks were absolutely amazing. The inside looks just like a cute little Paris cafe. There is also an outdoor patio well sidewalk that you can sit on. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
LMAOOO nah i just witnessed a homeless guy sit down and touch the cups and utensils. Manager did'nt even clean the table or replace the cups/ utensils.

Yelp
While we are totally in favor of their policy, be aware a 20% gratuity is added to the bill. We were at the Central Park Zoo and were looking for a much needed respite from the brutally hot day. When we first arrived we were told they only had outside seating for 6. I shamelessly pleaded for an indoor table. The woman I spoke with said she would set up a large table in the back. We were so grateful. Ten minutes later (the bartender let the little ones sit at the bar and gave them plastic cups of water with straws) we were seated. Everyone in this restaurant is amazing. The food is fantastic. We had: The bistro burger with fries Crab cake Salmon tartare Soup of the day. Gazpacho Chevre salad Salad nicoise Salmon Tulum I tasted everything but the black angus burger. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I was told the burger was incredible. Our server, the runner and the busboy were 10/10. The food was 10/10. Besides my huge error in adding a gratuity on top of the added gratuity (I called to remedy my mistake: thank you Maria) We already know we're going to return to try other things on the menu.
