East Atlanta Village Restaurant Banshee Opens its New Patio Bar and Karma Farm Moves to Savi Provisions in Buckhead, Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Rebranded from Match Bamboo Lounge to Match Bar and Oven on Walker Street, I was told the restaurant serves New York-style flatbread and focaccia pizzas alongside wings, burgers, and truffle fries, and pairs food with cocktails such as a margarita, a Painkiller, and the “Big Ass Doubles” (basically two drinks in one); it's promoted as a place to eat, drink, and socialize with delectable small plates and specialty drinks." - Beth McKibben

Loved that I finally gave this spot a try, as it's right around the corner from my studio. This place has a great atmosphere and awesome music. I had the pepperoni pizza with honey drizzle, and it was YUMMY! The owner was super nice and had great customer service. I'll definitely be back!

This is my neighborhood go to spot. Amazing and professional staff, good food, hookahs, great atmosphere. Always a fun time and laid back. They now hand make their own pizza dough and it's very good. Wings are flavorful. They have recently introduced spiked slashes, flavors rotate, see website for current flavors. I've never had a service issue here. The rooftop was renovated about a year ago and has beautiful views of the stadium and downtown.

Google
This place was awesome, a nice little "unexpected chill spot." My husband and I attended a birthday gathering for my brother. We were quite a rowdy bunch but no one complained. The food was awesome and the drinks were very tasty, I had a buzz before I knew it! And don't get me started on the hookah!! Not to mention the service was great!! Overall the whole atmosphere was an experience to have. I had the best time and can't wait to come back, maybe for my birthday in a few months...

Great vibe and great view. Went for the flaming margaritas, and ended up upstairs playing Giant Connect 4. Lexi gave great service, and Jimmy got Soul! Will return.

DO NOT GO HERE. DISHONEST. POOR SERVICE. POOR OWNERSHIP. I’ve been to this place twice. 1st time was fine. Noticed the menu said the gratuity was included. No problem. Came back months later. Had poor service from a waitress, who during my meal, came up with a slice of pizza in her hand chewing asking if I still needed the red pepper flakes. At the end of the meal. The waitress came with a handheld device for payment & told me specifically that gratuity WAS NOT included. I responded by saying the menu says gratuity is included. She then told me that it wasn’t. So I tipped her on top of the bill & she hurried off without letting me see any info on said device or offering a receipt. The next day I called the establishment to be text a receipt because the total wasn’t adding up if gratuity wasn’t included. I was text the receipt & NOT ONLY WAS GRATUITY INCLUDED BUT THERE WAS A RANDOM CHARGE FOR $20 that was not made. I then when back to the establishment the next day to explain this to the owner. While to some credit, he did refund the $20 mystery charge he wouldn’t refund the additional tip I added or the gratuity. His reason being he said he wanted to get the waitresses side of the story. Mind you he never got my contact information from me to follow up & there’s no way I’m tipping on top of gratuity for service I wasn’t satisfied with. Doesn’t even make logical sense. Will never go here again. Ever. ***Update*** as you can see from the owners response he’s calling me a liar. THEIR WAITRESS APPROACHED THE TABLE PIZZA SLICE IN HAND WHILE CHEWING AND ASKED FOR THE CRUSHED PEPPER & LATER TOLD ME THERE WAS NO GRATUITY INCLUDED. AS SOMEONE WHO USE TO WORK AS A SERVER I HAVE NO REASON TO LIE & WOULDN’T DO THAT. I HAVE MULTIPLE REVIEWS ON ESTABLISHMENTS BOTH GOOD & BAD. I CALL A SPADE A SPADE. TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT.

Google
Service was great, but food is overpriced. I paid $50 for 3 lamb chops and a separate side of Brussel sprouts.

Google
Cool atmosphere with good drinks. The pizza is amazing and the rooftop is nice

Google
In town for a conference and came across Match. Pizza was excellent, service was good and completely enjoyed the atmosphere. Planned on a quick supper and ended up spending a couple of hours hanging out watching football and talking.

Yelp
So cute, looks like it should be in Brooklyn. We were there before the crowd. Loved the games as my crew played Spades, Uno, and Connect Four in our hour or so together. Meat pizza and wings we collectively called average. The guys got beers so I can't comment on drinks, but I won't be eating there. Hookah is also overpriced at 40 and you can walk down Peter's street for cheaper.

Laniya L.

Yelp
Very fun experience ! Came last week and the vibe was crazy ! The perfect place to go to before any concert or game. They stay open till 12am!

Cole M.

Yelp
Just a horrible experience in every aspect. Food took forever. Waitress lying about the food coming out. I got the wings for $13 and I got 4 wings. Little to zero meat on the bone. The workers were worrying too much about the darn hookah before everyone's food. Only reason why this gets one star is the fries are pretty good. You are disrespecting yourself if you come to this let down of a restaurant.
google avatar

Laure J.

Yelp
No mas was giving us a super hard time about seating so we left & found this little gem walking back to the car. They had just opened so we received the star treatment so to speak haha. I believe there were $5 margs at that time so we took advantage of those & ordered a couple things from the small tapas menu. I really enjoyed my flatbread pizza, nice & crispy just how I like it! The space is small but cute & kitchy. There's also an upstairs patio that is really cool. I talked to the owner who was a really cool guy & he said he has some plans for more events in the future. I definitely encourage everyone to drop by & make sure this local gem thrives.

Yelp
Stopped here after a trip to the Mercedes Dome. We walked down the street to catch this spot because we were looking for food and vibes. This place did not disappoint. I was not expecting the lamb chops to be that phenomenal in a club but they were amazing. We also had brussel sprouts that had a really good balsamic glaze that made them both flavorful and tender. We caught the other games here. Decent drinks (little pricey for the one I tried) that she set the citrus on fire. Didn't do much to the flavor but was cool to see. Hookahs were pretty good as well. Lastly, the music was definitely a vibe. I would recommend giving it a try.

Yelp
I don't write bad reviews but when I do.. it's a reason, overall I give it 3 stars let me explain why. 1.) the place is tiny but cute and it has an upstairs which is the rooftop part. This isn't bad about the place actually great! But if you wanted a huge area you won't get it here. 2.) I WAS ECSTATIC! about the cute drinks I wish I could lie but there are no cute drinks only liquor with one strawberry and an ice cube. 3.) the service. I had to wait so long I almost left without my card after I was served. Prior to being served I sat there and waited for a menu when I got one I had to wait even longer for my order. There's a younger staff so just come prepared for that. This isn't a place I would choose first. Not saying it's a no go but for me it would be 3rd even 4th on my list.

Zackju L.

Yelp
I popped in with the boyz before AtlUnited was about to play. Gotta say it was a nice spot with pretty fast service. The ladies were cute and friendly. The food was tasty, but not gorment for you snobby ppl. Hookahs was in the air. I liked it and would go back if I'm downtown. Prices were decent, seating was ok, but I could see a problem when packed! Overall, just go on an off day like we did and you should be fine. Cheers!

Yelp
This is a cute little hole in a wall spot I chose for my facebook foodie group. We sat downstairs but they had a cute but small rooftop patio that I will go check out another time. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and very good although there aren't many options. I had lemon pepper wings and fries. It's a pet peeve of mine when they don't come together, $9 for 6 wings and $4 for fries seems a bit much. But they were very good. I had the frose (fro-zay) which was a frozen mixed drink of rose wine, vodka and lemonade. It was so tasty, my friend who does not drink was sipping it. Our server Bree was sweet and attentive and to me it's always a plus when a server can give insightful recommendations which she did. There is free street parking available, which is always a plus. I got there around 7 (it opened at 6) and parked right by the door. All in all, it's a great lil spot. The only cons, were it was hot as heck and so we were sitting in the dark because they said the lights would make it hotter. And, I found out when I stepped upstairs to say hi to my daughter, the server was telling her about a special if they ordered 2 lounge drinks, they could get a free hookah for an hour. I like hookah and would have like to take advantage of that special. Maybe the specials could be posted somewhere on the menu or a chalkboard, or maybe the servers could tell everyone. Other than that, everything was great!

Yelp
The customer service was on point. Great energy & vibe. Music was good. The food was good as well, the Fry Chicken is Def will be going back soon !

Yelp
I came here on a Thursday night, post quarantine. I pulled up and easily found parking on the street. The Place is small and I didn't see much social distancing. I think they may have an upstairs but I didn't go up to check it out. The staff was very friendly but the people I was with frequent the place so they knew everyone. I tried the Flaming Dusse Margarita, they serve it to you with the lime on fire, it was very strong with a hint of margarita mix. After that I had 2 strawberry lade margaritas, they were good, but very sweet! For dinner I had the lamb chops, they were very moist, tender and flavorful! I Also had the turkey pepperoni pizza, which was more like a flat bread. It was just okay, I had to use lots of Crushed red peppers to get some flavor! The hookah was good!
google avatar

Melanie C.

Yelp
This place is super cute! I love the games they have and the drinks are great. The rooftop offers a great view of the city as well. Try the lamb lollipops and Brussels sprouts!

Yelp
My first visit to Match was over a year ago when some friends invited me to hang out. I have been back several times since then. It's my go to place when I want to go to a bar, but not be around a lot of people. The wings and lamb chops are good. I enjoy games they have for customers to play while there. I've never had an issue with customer service. I will definitely keep coming back!

Yelp
Came to this place last night for the first time and overall we enjoyed ourselves! I wouldn't give it 5 stars for a few reasons. The establishment has an upstairs and downstairs but is very small. I had 6 other ppl with me and we had to combine tables but luckily a table left as we got there. Also they allow the customers to change the music which is okay but then the music is all over the place. It was a Saturday night and we kept switching back and forth between trap and gospel lol! Not ideal haha! Also after 9 the menu was limited to like 4 things and I was upset because I liked the menu I saw from others but none of the selections were on the available menu. The service was pretty good though, the hookah boy Zeir was great! He moved quickly and make good hookahs! Also our waitress was sweet but I don't remember her name. I would do this place again, it wasn't bad! The prices are reasonable and the people were nice!
google avatar

Antwynette R.

Yelp
I haven't actually been inside but looking on the outside it appears very quaint and a place I would love to visit again in the future. For take out, we ordered the PuPu Platter which consists of a variety of dishes of your choice. Menu's not extensive, so options are a bit limited. Ordered jerk wings and jerk lamb and both were outstanding!!
google avatar

Yelp
Yelpers, it would be remiss of me if I didn't bring this place to your attention! It's a nice addition to the Castleberry Hill area and worth a visit. I came across this place on Scoutmob and decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening. Our friendly waitress informed us that the Scoutmob was only for their Flaming Margarita drink, which really wasn't an issue. Enjoy two levels at this intimate lounge. We opted for the covered rooftop that gives a great view of part of the downtown skyline, the Mercedes Benz stadium which is under construction or you could view football on their big screen TV. The cooling industrial fans helped with the heat and added to the relaxed atmosphere. We ordered 2 of their Specialty Cocktails; Coconut Comfort and Blue Hawaiian. These drinks were incredible, well blended and the tasted perfect. The presentation of the cocktails were also something to behold with fruits, curly straws and colorful cocktail parasols, giving you the impression that you're on a white sandy beach soaking in the sun and sea. The menu, though limited to a few items, gives a unique set of options from chicken, shrimp, crab, lamb and even ribs bites. We enjoyed our Jerk wings, every bite as flavorful as the first. The disposable wooden cutlery which is distinct and adds a signature touch to Match Bamboo isn't very durable, so you might have to ditch them and use your hands. Either way we enjoyed our experience here. I'll definitely be back to try some more cocktails, you should give it a try too. Menu 4/5 Service 5/5 Taste 5/5 Location 4/5

Yelp
First time and definitely won't be my last. Came on a Thursday and the vibes is chill. The music has some hip hop, rap and 90s R&B as a plus. Food is great, $2 tacos!!! Last, certainly not least please please please try the Brussel sprouts, best I've had in a minute.
google avatar

Tahnita C.

Yelp
Ask for Amber the bartender & Jimmy in the owner they. Have some smooth & classy going on here. I love it!

GemC M.

Yelp
I came here on the first night out with my girl friend and had a great experience. I like that it's very intimate, the ambiance was nice and good music selection. Food and drinks were on point as well as the service. I def will be back and recommend.
google avatar

Candice M.

Yelp
Pretty chill spot. My friend and I had a drink, shared a pitcher, and ate an appetizer. I didn't give 5 stars because of the food selections. Not much to choose from. Around 10:30 on a Friday night, the Dj really did his thing, but the crowd just wasn't there. Big potential to be something great though. Nice spot, rooftop and all.
google avatar

Mel L.

Yelp
Wednesday night Specials was Awesome! We had the 0.75 cents wings and $6 Jack Daniels! The lemon pepper wings was a slam dunk - the bbq flavor was okay if you are in the mood for a wet wing. Ask for the lemon pepper to be fried hard! Great atmosphere and vibe! We will be back
google avatar

Ivan S.

Yelp
The service was great and location is perfect. Plenty of street parking nearby. I had a delicious mini Philly cheese steak, and a flaming margarita. They balance a hollowed out half of a lime filled with Bacardi 151 for the flame. Very cool and will definitely be back. The staff was also extremely helpful when my wife had a minor episode from heat after the meal. They were very prompt and caring. Wonderful people!

Yelp
The match Lounge is the most chilling place I've ever been too. It's an absolute vibe. The food is tasty and the drinks are great for a reasonable price. I ordered the veggie tacos and the mai Tai drink and I enjoyed it. The DJ was hot to. He had the place jumping. Everyone was just vibing, having drinks and casual convos . We also played games. They have uno, Domino's etc. We had a wonderful time. And will be going again when we come back to Atlanta.
google avatar

Yelp
I was excited to attend a friend's Halloween party but that changed shortly after I arrived. First, the place is very intimate and there was a hefty amount of people there. That being said, trying to order drinks and hookah was nearly impossible. We then tried our luck upstairs and the staff forgot my drink but brought my friend's. I reminded her of mine but never got it. Then he paid cash and she disappeared forever to get change. Sorry, you weren't getting a $12 dollar tip. We then waited more time for Hookah. Needless to say we won't be back. We had fun being in the company of each other and the music was great but the service was lacking.

Yelp
I first discovered this little gem around summer 2016. Wow was I impressed. The music was perfect not to loud where you feel like you're in the club but loud enough to give a nice lounge feel. Additionally, the music choice was amazing. Instead of hip hop the lounge played smooth classic r&b hits like Janet Jackson "Any time", this immediately caught my interest :) Also immediately upon entering the lounge, staff greeted me with a smile. The atmosphere was real chill and welcoming, which is a plus. The environment, small and cozy. I enjoyed a few cocktails which each average around $10-$12, which is typical for the Castleberry Hills area. More importantly every cocktail was prepared nicely and I could actually tell there was alcohol in them and not just an excessive amount of Juice. I loved my experience at this place so much I decided to go back in the Fall of 2016 for my B'day. And I am so glad I did this! Although my party and I arrived late the servers were more than accommodating, they greeted all my guests with a smile, they were very attentive to us the entire time, we all enjoyed our food and drinks and the overall great atmosphere. I even had a chance to briefly speak with the owner who came across as polite, professional, and down to earth. This review is long over due, hopefully management and staff are still the same and this review reflects the current status of the lounge. I plan to visit again soon and am look forward to nothing less than a great experience!

Yelp
Match Bamboo Lounge is truly a hidden gem. The food is beyond amazing & the drinks are really strong!!! My boyfriend & I decided to give this spot a try yesterday because we were looking for a spot with a nice rooftop view. This spot is very small & intimate as indicated in previous reviews. The view of the city is really nice tho. We decided to try the pupu platter which allowed us to try 5 items from the menu we had the turkey sliders, lamb lollipops, jerk bbq wings, blackened shrimp tacos & chopped kale salad. When I tell you everything was seasoned to perfection!!! I will say I was highly surprised. Most lounges in Atlanta are unable to successfully do both, but this spot truly has good food & a nice atmosphere. I will say I was truly shocked that for a Saturday night at 10pm the place was nearly empty. I really hope more people will support this business. I want to see it be successful & will definitely return in the near future.
google avatar

Trisha M.

Yelp
Really cool spot to go to.... We sat upstairs rooftop amazing view!!! Drinks were awesome food was great ... very laid back atmosphere definitely will go back!

Leah J.

Yelp
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Disregard all the pictures you see on here. They dont make any of those fancy drinks. They must have switched owners or something because the reviews of here are very misleading
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night with a friend for some drinks and it was a decent time. The drinks were definitely strong. The food was ok, but it could have been better. I would definitely try them out again because it is such a chill spot. It's very laid back and the service was good while we were there. I thought that there prices were fair for what was offered.

elexah h.

Yelp
Great mature vibe. EXCELLENT bar food! The owner is almost always present which is very reassuring.

Tyler C.

Yelp
Very underwhelming at the least !!! Poor staff and watered down drinks. Bar staff is terrible abs well as the food. Would never recommend to friends.
google avatar

Yelp
Came to this spot on a Friday evening for drinks in a desperate attempt to find a new go to spot. Match Bamboo Lounge was a laid back and relaxed type of environment. You can tell that the place is still relatively new and they're still figuring some things out. Due to the area parking is a mess (but that's to be expected in Atlanta). Walking in the lounge was a lot smaller than expected. We opted to sit on their rooftop to take in the views of the city and was not disappointed. I ordered the flaming Bob Marley and their frozen drink special for the day which was a strawberry drink. Although the Bob Marley didn't taste like your traditional Bob Marley it was delicious nevertheless! The strawberry drink wasn't bad either especially considering it was only $6. The waitresses unfortunately was pretty inattentive and was buried in her phone the entire time but I'm assuming that's because they weren't very busy. If you're looking for a chill little spot to grab a drink and vibe to some music this may be worth checking out.

Ayana D.

Yelp
The music is good. However, the food really sucks and the drinks are not mixed well. We ordered fried cauliflower with buffalo sauce and it was very salty and did not taste good. We also ordered spinach dip and it was too thick and not enough spinach in the dip. The atmosphere is cute and the place is cute but the food and service sucks !!!!!! I do recommend this place. And the pizza was oily. Also you do get fucked up.
google avatar

Carrie B.

Yelp
The great work Drink Art did to this little building at 199 Walker St shines through with Match, a new Polynesian spot offering tasty Hawaiian-style dishes and big drinks with lots of fruit and umbrellas. It's a small space, but there's also a rooftop, which offers beautiful views of Downtown Atlanta from Castleberry Hill. Limited parking so suggest uber'ing, walking, biking, but once there you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Lia J.

Yelp
Excellent food! I was pleasantly surprised not only by how many vegetarian options they had, but how good it was. I got the vegetarian sliders and fried cauliflower. Both had me determined to come back and bring someone else so they could enjoy what I just did. Definitely a MUST eat if you're in Atlanta. Plus if you sit outside they have a great view of the Atlanta skyline.
google avatar

Ngozi A.

Yelp
James the owner has incredible hospitality UNMATCHED with other lounge I've been to in the area. Hookah was smooth, we had Tropicana with mint from Hookahs by Cece. The bartender waited on us and we tried a new item on the menu, Faoccacia bread. You can add ingredients of your choice, vegan or not! I'll definitely be back! Happy Hour hookah and food throughout the week from 5-9!
google avatar

Alexis D.

Yelp
I love coming to the rooftop and it's in my neighborhood. Finally a laid back spot to hang out in castleberry!!
google avatar

C H.

Yelp
We decided to try a new location and came across this place. It's small but nice. Parking was not hard to find but remember it's in Castleberry Hills. So if it's happening, parking might not be as easy. We were here on a Friday night. Drink are on the expensive side. A long island is $11 and a glass of wine is $8 for only 2/3 glass. We yried the springs rolls we good. The roof top is nice and decor really sets tllhe mood. Staff are friendly. It's only been open since May 2016. I will return.
google avatar

Richard B.

Yelp
The best lemon pepper wings I've had in a long time. Best DJ in the city as well, with a very eclectic mix. Good drinks as well, nice cozy spot for a date night or just to chill solo. Highly recommended .
google avatar

Hambri Enta M.

Yelp
Awesome. awe-some! AWESOME! The place is real small, but is big in character. It is a HOOKAH lounge as well - the food we had was just perfect. The downstairs is relatively small, some tables and seating, but has a very artistic outdoor bar top that you can hangout at, sans seats! the upstairs is where you want to be! Rooftop views! No other joint in Castleberry (aside from residences) have this feature. You bet hurry! There is a cozy sofa area right at the top of the stairs, with a big ass screen, you face the city views but are still considered inside. Step thru the doorway and into a super cute roof top bar. About 5 high tops. There you can enjoy the view! FOOD: We had the WINGS, the LAMB CHOPS and PLANTAINS. The wings come with a ranch Wasabi to dip. More delicious and not really "ranchy" CONVENIENCES: A bathroom upstairs! CONS: None to be found so far.
google avatar

Jane C.

Yelp
This is a gem! I love the ambiance. The service is A1 and all of the lovely ladies are charming. They are familiar with the menu and are simply amazing! Ike the Hawaiian theme: drinks, food, decor---where else in Atlanta can you get "Lai-ed"!?!
google avatar

Amina P.

Yelp
This is a little hidden gem in Castleberry. Right by the hustle and bustle of the nightlife of Peter St. but with out the folly of youth. This is a perfectly hidden tiki lounge, with flaming fruity drinks, great music and even better food. The owner is often inside and despite his affinity for Tom Brady and the Patriots, it's a great place to watch football games during the season. I also find it easy to park on streets nearby for free and grab a couple of pre game cocktails before heading to the Atlanta United Games. It's a few blocks from the stadium!
google avatar

Kj B.

Yelp
Good food, good drinks. But unfortunately, drunk ditz of a waiter who doesn't keep track of what what folk order. Plus she was sassy af. Ask for another server if you're being jerked around.
google avatar

Nikki B.

Yelp
The place was recommended to me by a friend so I decided to go check it out. 1st there isn't any street parking unless u want to pay. Just a heads up the place is very very small, they have a downstairs and a small upstairs. The food was actually really good. I had the jerk wing and I was pleasantly surprised how good there were. We say upsets and got to see the new football Mercedes-Benz Stadium up close which was nice. Real laid back -chilled vibe atmosphere. If that's ur thing then this is ur place.
google avatar

Sarah D.

Yelp
Great food, strong drinks, and beautiful restaurant. I will definitely come back.
google avatar

Dee K.

Yelp
I really liked this place for a good, relaxing after work cool down. I came in on a pretty hot and humid afternoon, so the iced/slushy drink special for $6 was really nice on the rooftop. The waitstaff was extra nice. I'm not sure what it's like all the time, but not being in the overcrowded atmosphere of the other places around there was really welcoming. It has that corner, neighborhood hangout feeling, with a good view to relax and have a good drink - and from what I heard, good food, too.
google avatar

Ginger W.

Yelp
Quaint & intimate setting. Banging sounds. Ordered the PuPu Platter with fried cauliflower (delicious), lamb lollipops (seasoned to perfection), turkey sliders (very yummy), black bean sliders (very tasty), & shrimp poboy sliders (tasted unseasoned & blah) The service was friendly & I cannot wait to come back.

Adam B.

Yelp
The people were friendly but this place is way way too expensive. $62 including tip for one round of hookah, a chicken quesadilla and a beer. Apparently they charge even a party of 2 a 20% grat without bothering to mention it. That's insane. Also, no one would sit near us and I'd hate to say it's because we're white :(
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
Laid back environment, great convo with owner! In town visiting for the weekend and ended up here randomly.
google avatar

Lexi I.

Yelp
The bad service is what made this place two stars. The food was great, but the service from the bartender was terrible. The place is absolutely beautiful, the staff could use more training at the downstairs bar. It took 15 minutes to get the bar cleaned where I was sitting, an additional 10 for my drink, drink was watered down because the ice had melted, the bartender forgot to put my food order in... I'll give this place one more try because of the chef, both stars are for him!
