1st let me say, the guys who've worked here over the years are awesome! My issues (yes, plural) with this place mostly have to do with whoever owned/runs it. Things started to go downhill when they put in their new computer/order system. THEY charge YOU for using their new system and placing your own order on the big screen they have out for you, so their employees are bothered less and can focus on making orders. More than half the time I'd stop by they were out of boba. DIdn't matter if it was early or late in the day. Their topping portions for many of the items have become EXTREMELY small. They charge you a lot for 2 tiny squares of matcha cake as a topping. You used to get much more.
This place nearly always has customers in it. I don't know why they started cutting portions back so hard and charging more. Greedy, maybe??
Oh!..here's a fun one *eye roll*...last time I went it for a soft serve match in a cup with boba topping, they didn't give me what you'd expect to get (or what they used to give me). They gave me my soft serve matcha in a small cup, THEN, in ANOTHER small cup they gave me the topping....separately. Like WTF?! I was speechless, standing there looking at the 2 cups, then at the employees with my hands out in confusion, because my soft serve with boba topping didn't even look like the pictures on their menus!!!!!! The employee said, "yeah, management won't let us put it in a larger cup to hold the toppings anymore." To which I said, "So instead of 1 cup, management want's more plastic & inventory waste by using TWO cups?!? On top of that, it's not nearly as easy, & much more messy, trying to mix & eat from 2 cups! That's RIDICULOUS!"
Long story longer... my friends, family, & I have decided to quit our patronage to this matcha shop. Hope someone with sense takes over and they turn it around before they loose too many customers.
