The food was expertly paired with exquisite wines, showcasing the restaurant's thoughtful attention to detail. The atmosphere was intimate and inviting, making it the ideal spot for special occasions or simply a night out with friends. Overall, Matilda's exceeded my expectations in every way. Jasper who served us was informative, lovely, and truly gave us an exceptional evening. The food was some of the best I’ve had in Melbourne, genuinely flawless with each dish perfectly cooked and with a perfect balance of flavours. The restaurant itself has a lovely relaxing vibe and we fest as if we could stay all night, though we did eventually leave for which I’m sure the staff were relieved! Thank you for the best birthday, it was an unforgettable evening and I’m so grateful ☺️

Dining at Matilda was honestly one of the best experiences we've had at a restaurant in years! Everything was just perfect! The food was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned; every bite was full of flavour and truly mouthwatering. I'm sorry, but I can't pick a specific dish to make specific comments about because they were all flawless. And let’s not forget the drinks. They were absolutely delicious and actually filled with the good stuff, not just ice like at some other places! The ambience and service were top-notch as well, with a really friendly and kind staff. A big thank you to the whole team. I’d give it a solid 10/10! Can’t wait to go back!

Worth every penny. The Chef runs a tight ship well organized and efficient. Food was outstanding, the steak was cooked to perfection! Anyone who put a bad rating should stick to eating at Macdonald’s as you clearly don’t know good food at all! So stop whining about everything!

This restaurant offers a beautifully romantic atmosphere with a charming vintage touch. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance made the experience truly special. As always, the food was outstanding—every dish was a delight. We can’t wait to return for another unforgettable evening!

This is a place I will go back to in a heart beat. The meals was amazing & the quality in produce was impeccable. I felt extremely welcomed by their staff & appreciated their 10/10 service!!! The atmosphere of this establishment was beyond stunning. A perfect location for a date night or a meal with your friends.

The atmosphere and ambience was phenomenal when we walked in. Our server was Nile and he was fantastic and so welcoming. Very helpful with food recommendations, wine and drinks. The service by him and the team was unbelievable. As we were leaving all of the staff said goodbye to us. Cannot believe how good our time was there. Hats off to the chef's as the food was incredible. We can't wait to come back.

Fantastic experience with very memorable flavours - definitely a 1 Michelin star tier!!! My partner and I had the tasting menu to share and we had such a phenomenal experience. Almost every single dish hit it out of the ball park, our favourites including the lamb ribs, the stracciatella , and the quince. All three had an element of smokeyness and charredness that made all the flavours pop really well. The ribeye was a nice cut and also done really well, but the stars of the night were the starters which blew our minds. Service by Yin was also impeccable, thank you for the amazing recommendations and service! Overall would definitely want to be back to try other dishes again, as we loved our meal so much! This restaurant was being likened to Burnt Ends in Singapore because of their cooking styles. Overall would say that our experience here was way better! That’s how good this place is.
