Started off on a high note with genuinely great customer service – the staff was friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to that positive first impression. The carne asada was very bland and tasted more like plain boiled meat than properly seasoned or grilled carne asada; it had an off-putting flavor that made it hard to enjoy. The salsa was watery and lacked depth – it reminded me more of a jarred grocery-store brand like Pace than fresh restaurant salsa.
I ordered the carne asada fries as a meal, and while the portion was decent, the overall dish felt underwhelming because of the bland meat and minimal toppings/seasoning. Given the price point, I was expecting more flavor and quality.
I’d love to come back if the kitchen tightens up the seasoning and preparation of the carne asada, because the service alone makes this place worth another shot. Right now, though, it’s hard to justify returning when the main protein falls so flat.
