Mattito's

Ordered again today for 6 people to be delivered for lunch. Better experience this time, everyone’s order was correct nothing messed up. Food arrived warm, this time I ordered the Chicken Fajitas, good flavor. No issues. First time to order from here, and we had lunch and had it delivered. We ordered for 8 people. Most either got some combo of fajitas or a taco salad. A couple of people wanted to order tacos but the site would not let them. It would ask them to pick beef or chicken but there was no option to even pick. The food from ordering to delivery was 45 minutes. Everyone got what they ordered except one person was missing their side of avocado. Also the fajita orders with beans, they arrived all over the inside. Other than that food arrived warm, and everything was very good, everyone liked it. Only giving 4 stars since we were missing some of our order, the messy beans could have been the delivery not them when they first packed it. We will order again from here.

Enjoyed dinner here and the food was EXCELLENT. Great location in Oak Lawn- be sure to bring your parking ticket inside to get validated before you leave. Only issue was the service which was slightly an issue. Kind and courteous but very slow. Granted, there were multiple large parties but they seemed short-staffed. Still, great food and cool decorations at that location.

Camilla was at the front-hostess and “forgot” to seat us even though she had taken down our name & phone number. We had been at the bar waiting so finally we went back up to ask her so we were then seated promptly after. At the bar we had Anna and she was great! Nice & attentive, our drinks were all so good! Tried the strawberry frozen margarita, Fridia drink & the sangria on the rocks. Juan was our server and he was so great as well! Tried the Botanas appetizer, & all our entrees were so delicious! Food was great definitely recommend it. They have seating outside as well. There was another gentleman helping and was also very attentive.

Awesome brunch drink deals for 2.75$. But let me just say this; the food is a no go. Enjoy the drinks, chips n salsa, and then leave for a better meal somewhere else. IMO. great wait staff as well.

Roberto was our waiter and he was absolutely amazing! He recommended drinks to us that were really good, and will definitely have me going back.

Overall had a pretty good experience here. Got the combo fajitas which was enough for 2 people. They were very good and chicken was seasoned well. Took off a star just cause service was pretty okay and then the queso seemed like straight Velveeta. It was supposed to have peppers, but barely had any if at all. It was cheap so I guess if you like velveeta not a bad option. All in all I would still recommend.

I'm not sure what happened since the last time we've been here. After the usual wait for brunch all down hill from there. The volume in the dining room was ridiculous, beware of the crowd here. No plates, out of food and long lines made it impossible to enjoy. They gave up replenishing some items around 1:30pm. I don't plan on returning to this restaurant.

I had a good experience. I appreciated the decor for seating and even the photo wall near the bathroom. I was happy the restrooms were clean as well. Salsa came out quick and a refill to follow. The staff was very attentive to our needs. I ordered the chicken chimichanga topped with chili con queso. I found disappointment because it seemed as though I received plain queso; and it dry up quick and was cold when it came out… definitely recommend topping your chimichanga with something different at this location. Side portion was small compared to Bae sides. Bae ordered the beef enchiladas… the beef was a little dry but enjoyed the meal overall. We also ordered drinks……which will be the reason we will return regardless of the happy hour or not. One drink was enough… two had Bae on his a**… Lol. I was very impressed with the drinks options and pricing. Yolanda thank you for your awesome service!

as always, really good food, and excellent service Thanks to Roberto. I had an à la cart, sour cream, chicken, enchilada, and hubs. Had a shell-less taco salad.

With so many options for great Mexican food within a few miles of here, this place is really disappointing. The chips have no seasoning at all and the salsa is a weird pink color and bland flavor. The queso is basically melted Velveeta with nothing in it (still $7 for a small cup), and the drink (Oaxacan Old Fashioned, $13.50) was watery and peculiar, with an almost chemical taste. I ordered spinach enchiladas ($12.95) and they were slathered in sour cream sauce... but again, very bland. The refried beans and the rice were actually good, tho, and likely the best part of the meal. Which is sad, because it's a good location right on the corner (and the parking lot is easy to get in and out o The waiter was fast and efficient (there was only one other table in the place, not surprisingly). But I won't be coming again.

I've seen this restaurant many times but thought it looked a little too touristy for it to actually be good tasting food. After a work out, my partner and I stopped in for convenient eats. I don't remember what we got but it was good

Maybe I'm spoiled by LA Mex but this place was not good. Don't recommend the tortilla soup. It was just tomato soup with no flavor. Other plates were ok. Guacamole was good. One of the folks in our group didn't get his order until well after we were all done. This was despite the restaurant being empty. Margaritas were good. Mostly Latin salsa playing.

Nice, casual, clean Mexican restaurant. Free parking in an attached garage with validation. Service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The complimentary chips and salsa were very good, and we ordered guacamole as well, which was super fresh and a large portion! For my meal, I tried the puffy tacos, which were very tasty as well. They had a lot of options on the menu, including lunch specials. Would recommend if you're in the area!!

we had the waiter Roberto and his personality and warm spirit is amazong. I am going through a lot of things and came to have some drinks and Roberto saw me cry and came over so fast to speak positive and wish us peace and blessing. Such a put would, we need more people like him....We sat on the patio and everything is clean and great , no complaints

I was with a huge party. The service was horrible. We asked 15 times for a second waiter. Nearly 1.5 hours into bad service, we got a 2nd server. Getting refills on chips, salsa, water was horrible. Most orders were accurate. The taste of the salsa and food was horrible. It taste like dishwater. The place smelled like it was mopped with a dirty moped. It looked clean but smelled like dirty mop. This was my 1st and last visit. We didn't really enjoy our food.

The food was perfect. The place is very nice and clean. Not to noise. And casual. And the Service by Brianna was 10 stars. She was nice and polite. And always check on us to make sure we have it all. Very happy with her service.

The service we received from Kathy was top tier because she went out of her way to make sure our needs were taken care of. She even helped us practice our Spanish by only speaking in Spanish with us. Kathy provided great service and the food was good too!

Food remains delicious. And generous. Service totally blows! And for a Saturday night the place was empty! Hope something changes soon, hate to lose this one too!

First time in Dallas and was staying at the Warwick across the street. This place was amazing!! I'm allergic to onions and I asked if the Guacamole had onions. The server was so nice to bring me some side of avocado without me even asking. Prices were very reasonable, portions were huge and drinks were yummy. Staff was the best. A must try!

Manager did send me a gift card for the difference in happy hour prices and more which a was a very nice gesture! Came back again and got come of the draft beer they have back now and some more happy hour margs. Those margs are soo strong. I think probably the strongest drink I've gotten consistently anywhere! 2 drinks and I'm toasted! But they are delicious and don't taste too strong and at a great price! We will definitely continue coming here for our happy hour spot. Gotta try the food next!

The service was amazing, Roberto was knowledgeable about the drink menus and the cuisine. He made sure the patron, myself was well versed in the menu. I'm glad he recommended the other sauce vs the mole. I truly appreciate the service and the time taken to deliver stellar service. Gracias por todos Roberto.

The service sucks, we waited at least 20 minutes for a hostess to seat us, hardly any people in the dining room. Our visit was on a Sunday afternoon we got there about 4:30 and it's 5:16 and still don't have our drinks. There is no ambiance in this place, the staff just plain does not acknowledge you. It is 5:29 and they still have not brought our appetizer 5:50 we decided to go after complaining to manager, waiter question me about having ordered appetizers.

My husband and I went to Mattitos for Margarita Day and we were not disappointed. Our waiter Roberto was very nice and polite. Our food came out quickly and tasted so good. I'd recommend this location to anyone looking for good drinks, food and service.

My family & I had the pleasure of being served by Roberto. Not only was the restaurant extremely busy with 20-30 minute wait to be seated but they were seemingly understaffed. Roberto was the highlight. He made sure our drinks came out quickly, our food was hot & his thoughtful service was much appreciated. Service like his is what makes the dining experience worthy of a 5 star review!

Roberto took such good care of us! He suggested the green chile shrimp tacos and they were to die for! This was our first time at Mattitos and we will be back!

Came in during lunch hour, ordered their Pollo con Mole and it was delicious! Chicken was juicy and the mole sauce was chocolatey not spicy. The cilia rep lime rice was alright but I enjoyed their spanish rice more. I also tried their flautas and the Martin plate. Food portions are very filling and worth the price. I was serviced by Roberto who made the experience great. I received prompt and attentive service. I'll definitely be coming by again. For authentic taste of Mexican Cuisine with a beautiful restaurant, this restaurant is worth the try!

Roberto is an outstanding and attentive server! My meal of Lite Chicken Fajitas was delicious, fresh, and served quickly. The flan is outstanding...not too sweet, but rich and creamy. It was a lovely meal. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and quiet. There is music, but the volume allows for conversation and personal thoughts. Thank you, Mattito's!

Roberto our server provided the best experience we have had. Not only was he quick but very friendly too. My wife and I got the PACO and it was great it gave us a chance to try a little bit of everything and it did not disappoint.

I come here every other month or so with a group of colleagues from work for some drinks. The drinks are great and the service is always wonderful. We always have Roberto as our server. He is fantastic and always takes great care of us! The chips, salsa, and queso are great here as well.

Ahhh Roberto, I am always so lucky when he serves me. His service and the food are top notch and why I keep coming back. Great view of the city going by with a excellent frozen marg at the window seating.

I went at 4:30pm on a Friday. The bar was mostly full but I got a seat at the end. Next to me was a tray with four or five bowls of chips and salsa. I assumed a waiter had set them there for a moment before taking them to a large table. After more than 5 minutes of sitting there, one of the two bartenders who had been talking with each other took a break to ask what I would like. They gave me a menu and then grabbed a set of chips and salsa from the tray that I was sitting next to. After waiting that long to be greeted, and seeing the low standards for basic chips and salsa, I got up and left without anyone noticing or caring.

Good Tex-Mex and a good price, and it's super convenient if you work at The Centrum. Roberto is amazing. Always great service, and my first stop when I come into town and need some "real" Tex-Mex. As a Texas to Montana transplant, this is a good thing. I've never had a bad experience here, and the food is always delicious. Also a KILLER happy hour.

OKAY YES YES YES Went on my birthday. Seemed they were short staffed but didn't let ANY of us realize that. They were so accommodating, and the food was TO DIE FOR.

The beef fajita meat is cooked to the ants degree and put into a pan with which they serve it from in the kitchen, is very well over cooked, and margaritas, I think taco cabaña has a better Margarita than they do. For me, their stuff is crap.

Roberto is an awesome server!! He was very attentive and made some great suggestions. The food and margaritas were delicious! I had the Enchiladas de mole and my husband has a burrito. Both were very flavorful and the mole sauce was the best I've ever had. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend a visit this restaurant!

The food taste and quality was absolutely superb. The service, not so much. Chips and salsa right away. About 10 minutes later waiter appears. Very proficient with taking orders. Zero chit chat. Had the attitude of being very busy and maybe a bit overworked. She got our order perfect. We wanted more chips and salsa. We asked a male waiter for more chips and salsa. He would not do it. He has to check with our waiter. No more chips. Extra salsa when lunch was served. My wife wanted a side of ranch dressing. Asked another male server for this request. No luck. Had to check with our waiter. 10 min later, she showed up wanting to know what we wanted. There appears to be a policy at Mattito's that wait staff will not assist each others tables. I would recommend Mattito's simply because the food is so good. Be prepared for a bit of slow service.

I used to eat here once a week for 20 years. I also brought my office staff for happy hour a few times a month. Food has really gone down hill. Today. I waited over 10 minutes for the bartender to show up. She then took cold chips with salsa from below the bar. I ordered the chili relleno and cheese enchilada. Relleno came without the toppings and was not good. Cheese enchilada had ranchero sauce instead of chili con carne. Over all the food was a 2 out of 10. After so many years I won't be back.

Fajitas are great along with the great staff. Request Roberto when you come in! Also the location is perfect snuggled in the heart of gayborhood

Roberto was amazing!!! Ask for him!!! Wry attentive and funny. Didn't even have to write my order down and I noticed he didn't with any of his other tables. I want him every time I come. Food was also hot and fresh and drink was also good.

I ordered my usual tonight, Chicken fried steak with the trimmings......delicious, as always! I'm not sure what was going on, but when I arrived, there must have been 50+ people waiting to be seated and served. I was very happy for the restaurant to have such a crowd. My to-go order was sitting on the counter, so I checked the contents and found my name on the ticket; I finally got the bartender's attention (she was VERY busy) and told her I was taking my order and I just wanted her to know that the order belonged to me. She replied " OK, I don't really care, take it if you want you, I'm too busy to question you" "JUST TAKE IT"; these comments where entirely inappropriate and so rude, but I'm trying to remember that she WAS very busy; just trying to "let it go" since this restaurant has been extremely good and fair to me, always. I'll see them, again, next week! ONCE AGAIN, IF you haven't eaten her, please do! The FOOD and the SERVICE is typically extremely excellent, you'll be so happy, I promise!
