Matty J's Bakery and Cafe

A+++ Impressed. We tried two sandwiches both grilled and just wow, delicious and filling. Will definitely return and recommend.

Matty J’s is my favorite place to eat in Saline! Their sandwiches and treats are delicious and everyone who works there are always very friendly. My favorite sandwiches are the Pesto Mozz 2.0 and the Turkey Rueben, they are both very filling and always well made with quality ingredients. The Millionaire’s Shortbread and Peanut Butter Brownie are favorites as well.

Matty J's Bakery and Cafe is a hidden gem in Saline, Michigan. All the bread is made fresh by the ladies and the skills to make a beautiful sandwich with so much flavor 💖💖 Matty J's is differently a 10 in my book and all my customers have said the same 10/10/10 Thank you ladies for showing me the best service and sandwich ever.

We were in the area and wanting a quick lunch. Pleasantly surprised by the selection and quality. I had a delicious and unique sandwich. The homemade bread was a real treat and the sandwich was so flavorful! I don't live close by but will definitely be back!

You cannot go wrong with anything you order from here! I would take a picture of their pulled pork, apple cheddar sandwich but it's gone. I inhaled it. I love their food. the chocolate with strawberry butter cream cupcake is so yummy.

This is the best sandwich shop in the area. I would put Matty J's up against Zingerman's any day of the week. 2.0 Pesto Mozz and the Roasted Potato Bacon Sandwiches are my personal favorites. Fantastic place with fantastic people behind the counter. I cant recommend Matty J's enough.

This review is purely for the sandwich I had, as a colleague picked it up for me. I got the Cuban sandwich and as there wasn't anything wrong with it, there just wasn't much to write home about either. The bread and pulled pork were excellent. I would suggest offering a better mustard option as this one tasted like GFS mustard that was almost flavorless. The pickles also tasted cheap. This sandwich could be as good as it's almost $11 price tag with a couple of tweaks. I will give this place a try again, but I would order something different.

I love going to Matty J's. Everything on the menu is delicious. This is a great place for lunch and a wonderful bakery all around. The portions are generous- I always say I am going to eat half of my cookie or millionaire shortbread with lunch and save half for later...but I never do. :)
