The 17 Best Restaurants In Sun Valley

"Did you forget your vintage blanket robe or buckhide suede jacket? Don't worry: you can buy both at Maude's, a coffee shop that also happens to have some clothing for sale. Floor-to-ceiling windows means there’s great light in this spot, which is perfect for sending off some emails at one of the mismatched vintage tables with fellow remote workers.  The menu is short and to the point—pour-overs, lattes, cappuccinos—and you'll probably be mocked if you ask for anything like sugar-free caramel syrup in your drink. For food, choose from a selection of locally made pastries, including donuts and muffins, as well as a menu of toasties—try the Trash Toast (EVOO, melted cheddar, tomato, sea salt, and pepper) before checking out the attached vintage clothing store." - hayden seder

Maude’s - Review - Ketchum - Sun Valley - The Infatuation

"Did you forget your vintage blanket robe or buckhide suede jacket? Don't worry: you can buy both at Maude's, a coffee shop that also happens to have some western clothing for sale. Floor-to-ceiling windows means there’s great light in this spot, which is perfect for sending off some emails at one of the mismatched vintage tables with fellow remote workers. The menu is short and to the point—pour-over drips, lattes, cappuccinos—and everybody who works here probably has strong opinions on oat milk. For food, choose from a selection of locally made pastries, including donuts and muffins, as well as a menu of toasties—try the Trash Toast (EVOO, melted cheddar, tomato, sea salt, and pepper) before checking out the attached vintage clothing store." - Hayden Seder

Google
This place is so cool!! Iced latte was great. The lemon something muffin was delicious, and very lemony. The woman that waited on me was very pleasant and went right to work on the latte and there is a bit of seating outside where I was able to sit in the shade and the cool breeze and just relax. Definitely check Maude's out if you get a chance.

Google
Cute little coffee shop with tasty snacks and good coffee. It is combined with an eclectic clothing store. This shop is comfortable like a favorite sweater. Plenty of parking on the street.

Catie Case

Google
Very charming local cafe with yummy toasts, coffees, teas, etc. The shop is fun to pop around before or after you eat, and the space is filled with vintage clothes and decor.

Really nice place and great coffee! The staff the best

Google
Visited here this morning before my flight out of town and wish I would have tried it earlier on in my trip! Great coffee and service, the baristas were all so nice and the western/vintage decor was perfect! I had a cappuccino with oat milk and honey as well as avocado toast that I forgot to take a picture of, my bad! 10/10

Google
Maude’s is the coffee shop in Ketchum. They are a true community hub with perfect coffee, delicious homemade treats and super hip vintage clothing. A must visit when visiting Sun Valley.

Google
Delicious food and espresso beverages served by warm and welcoming people. The setting is so pleasant and quaint. I am especially fond of their avocado toast (I add a hard boiled egg to it) and almond milk latte but everything is tasty.

Google
Best coffee in town. The employees and owners are the nicest people you’ll ever meet! Best fresh squeezed oj since south FLA! Great bites, oh and they also sell cool vintage clothes!

Yelp
Good lattes and vintage clothes. Honestly the staff and service are so nice, I tip them 2x

Yelp
Smells SOOO musty and moldy in there. I really wanted a matcha so I decided to go in to order asap to get out of there asap from the moldy toxic smell. But they were understaffed and literally did not take one order the whole time I was waiting in line so I left. Looks like a cute vibe but the air is toxic.

Yelp
I came in for a bagel and cream cheese. I don't understand how I got a burnt bagel that was cold...How is that even possible?

D H.

Yelp
Matcha was excellent, one of the best I've had in town. Cool little space too. But the signage at checkout is... off putting. I have no problem tipping, and I usually do, but snarky guilt tripping doesn't belong on a payment screen. It just made the experience feel weirdly passive aggressive. Would still come back, just hope they rethink the tone.

Yelp
I've long loved this coffee shop but unfortunately the woman working here with dark hair is very rude. Like full on confrontational and dirty looks to well-intentioned, kind customers. It's such a bummer because she either hates the job or the clientele, and takes it out unnecessarily on whoever comes in across her at the wrong time. The coffee and bagels here are so great. It would wonderful if management coudl address the issues with this staff member.

Lawrence E.

Yelp
Awful service, extremely rude staff. We walked out after ten minutes. There are certainly better places in town that will treat you a bit nicer!

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Super cute but very popular so be aware of long lines. Coffee, breakfast burritos, etc. Staff was hustling but at least 15 min wait.

Erich M.

Yelp
Went in the other day to grab a coffee, and there was a sign saying you would receive bad service if you didn't tip. Really rubbed me the wrong way. Wont be going back. Coffee was ok not great.

Yelp
Favorite coffee shop when in town. Has a fun, friendly vibe with wonderful coffee and offerings. Love the plentiful indoor and outdoor seating option which are all great during the fall season...winter, not so much.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
BEST COFFEE IN TOWN!!!!!! Get the almond milk dirty chai - to die for!!!! And for a special treat the fancy toast is delicious.
google avatar

Courtney S.

Yelp
Terrific! Super nice staff! Well made coffee! Great Gluten Free offerings that don't taste gf! Best frittata I've ever! Clothes are expensive but there are some treasures to be found!
google avatar

Lydia S.

Yelp
Enjoyed a mocha, delicious, nice staff, cool building. Any location with lots of horse motifs gets extra points with me. Vintage clothing store attached.
google avatar

Liz H.

Yelp
Great coffee and baked goods and fun atmosphere- nice indoor and outdoor seating and fun shopping too! Worth a visit!

Isabella S.

Yelp
Matcha is pretty good coming from someone who gets matcha from Japan. Interior is very cute and the staff is very nice. Minus one star for a lot of black spots on the avo toast. The bread is perfect but seeing those black spots on avo toast made it a little unappetizing. Maybe I'm weird but I don't think you're supposed to eat the black parts of the avocado.
google avatar

Kristin H.

Yelp
Can't say this is a pleasant experience. Took forever, drip coffee was pretty terrible, chai was not good, toast came late and was cold. Barista a bit rude.
google avatar

Brandi G.

Yelp
Friendly staff and nice vintage atmosphere, latte was great and not just warm milk. They didn't have white chocolate for my usual white chocolate mocha but not a lot of places seem too.

Yelp
This is a great little coffee / vintage store with an awesome selection of high quality vintage, western-inspired clothes. However, two things irked me about my experience here. (1) Their hours are 7:30 am - 5 pm, however the clothing section of the shop does not open until 10 am. This is not stipulated on their website, nor when you google their hours, and there were no signs in the shop (or anything to notify at all, aside from a chain blocking off the area). I sat there for several hours in the morning, watching many would-be customers eagerly scan the clothes while they waited for their coffees (though I saw many of them also looking confused as to why it was not open). Folks coming to the store explicitly to shop the clothes should know the actual hours of the store - and it seems like a bad business move to ignore those early morning coffee customers. (2) The shopkeep who looked after the vintage section was fairly intense and honestly made me uncomfortable while shopping - she openly stared when I sifted through clothes, and was very particular about where I could set down my coffee. Apparently, the only acceptable spot was on a small side table next to a rack of a clothes. (Which is fine... I understand not wanting to risk damaging counter tops or spilling on clothes, but perhaps in that case just have a no beverage policy, or some sort of sign asking customers to set their cups down in a specific spot?) I'll be back because the shop was great, but a bit of an awkward experience overall.

Sarah C.

Yelp
The coffee was sooo yummy. Not bitter but with that roasty taste--idk how else to explain I'm not a coffee expert LOL. Took one star off bc the clothes were so cute but so expensive. Bad case of overpriced vintage :/

Tyler R.

Yelp
My boss, myself, and 2 employees came in Saturday morning. They only serve coffee in 8 and 12 ounces? Kind of odd. The main problem was when my boss ordered an almond chai. When she got it it didn't taste right and she asked if the put almond in it. The man making drinks said they didn't have almond flavoring but they used almond milk. She asked why he didn't say that when she ordered and he said they had a posted list of flavors. He also added that if she didn't like it she could go to Java (where we wanted to go but they were closed for some reason). When she told him that he told her, "well, I guess you won't get what you want today." Being short staffed is not an excuse for such a crappy attitude. Who talks to customers that way? Maude's should evaluate their staff and do some training.

Jennifer F.

Yelp
This place is so fun and the people are probably the friendliest coffee house people in town! The drinks are always on point! Try the freshly made baked goods! The banana muffins are so good! An added bonus is if the shop dogs are there! So cute!

Yelp
Oatmilk cappuccino was deliciously creamy and foamy! A couple seat outside. I enjoyed the coffee shop and store combo.

Yelp
Rude staff and owners, overpriced vintage and coffee even for this town. Trying to make Ketchum something it's not...
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
I've been in Ketchum for over a week. Have been here several times for coffee but whoever the girl is with dark hair and bangs, owner or worker, she is incredibly rude and I will not be back.
google avatar

Kim P.

Yelp
This review is for the coffee shop only (I was not there when the clothing store was open). I dropped in and got a bagel after the other popular cafe around the corner was overly busy and not making food as a result. They were busy but the cashier was super polite and let me know courteously that she'd be with me in a moment. My order was ready in less than 10 mins and was very good. Simple, fresh ingredients. I'll be back to try their other types of toast!

Yelp
Maude's Coffee and Clothes is a VERY welcome addition to downtown Ketchum. The coffee here is made-to-order and they have a lot of options with a full espresso machine, alternative milks, et al. The baked goods pastries I've had there have always been tasty [coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, cookies]. They also have lunch breakfast items like tamales that you can grab to go or get heated up. Tasty! You can find a spot to sit inside [air-conditioned] or outside on one of their little bistro chairs. Half of the store is given over to clothing and accessories and this is where Maude's shines even brighter. Their merchandise is mostly vintage or dead stock and seems to have been chosen with a careful eye. The women's wear includes a lot of interesting dresses and...separates? I'm not sure how'd you describe them. There are great vintage trucker hats, western wear shirts, and belt buckles for dudes. Classic pendleton button-up shirts could appeal to ladies or gents. The lady proprietor is super helpful at finding you something interesting. tl;dr version: Maude's is a great place to meet a friend for coffee & a bite OR to buy cool vintage clothes.Check it out!

Lauren W.

Yelp
Such a cute place! Great coffee and a cool selection of clothes to browse while our drinks were being made. Will definitely visit again the next time I'm in town!

Yelp
Good coffee and snack! Awful vintage store. I got a "vintage" shirt (with stains and super yellowed armpits that didn't come out with bleach. I didn't notice in the lighting at the store. But it did have a cool graphic). Shop attendant said it could go for $70 when it was priced incorrectly at $35 (supposed to be $60). He sold it to me for $45; no returns. Found online for $25 brand new. It was sold at urban outfitter. Wtf! Totally not a vintage item. Pretty lame. Would NOT shop here ever again. Food was very yummy though. Will get more coffee and snacks for sure. Great fresh orange juice! Go to the cafe, skip the shopping!

Yelp
coolest clothes and coolest people in the valley for coffee- get the gluten free avocado toast with an egg and sprout, so yummy!

Yelp
We were in Ketchum and stumbled upon Maudes for coffee. I really loved it! The coffee was delicious and the bites looked tasty as well. There is also a vintage/ artisan shop within. Really special things inside and cute, well appointed! Only problem was that it was closed on Mondays! We would have gone that day as well.

Yelp
The patio alone is a great reason to have drink at Maude's. We bought chess at the thrift shop and played it on the patio. The owner is so helpful with giving tips on what to do in town.

Yelp
A classic stop whenever we are in town; the funky vibe of this place really is the draw, with a pretty darn good latte to boot! If you're looking for an interesting place to peruse vintage treasures while waiting for a delish caffeinated beverage, look no further! Such a cool concept and a great place to people watch and grab a cup of joe. With small tables inside, it's not really a camp out and do all the things place, although it's not impossible, but rather a sit and savor and head on out sort of joint. Looking at all the fun items they have in the shop is definitely a huge part of why I keep heading back each time, as is the cool artwork and good lattes. While I value their focused caffeination menu, know that this isn't the place to get all sorts of flavors in your cup; you'll find they have the classics and that's it! With a few bites available as well, it's a good snacking spot but don't expect a full ok brekkie. Can't wait to get back to the area and stop on in!

Yelp
Great coffee, clothes and company. What more could you want from a local coffee shop?
google avatar

Brenda C.

Yelp
This place is awesome!! My favorite drink is a mocha latte I highly recommend coming here and trying something off their menu. The people who work here ALWAYS make you feel welcome, which is why I love this place so much. I live in Bellevue, but if I lived closer this would be my everyday coffee stop! There are tables and stools to sit it and they also have clothing and accessories which you can look through and purchase while you're drink is being made. If you're looking for coffee, I recommend skipping Starbucks and giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This place is amaaaaazing. The only coffeeshop I go to when I'm in town. The gluten-free muffins are amazing, super friendly staff/owners. Nice patio. And check out the clothes, too.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Best coffee in town! Quick service and great atmosphere. Check out their shop as well, super unique selection.
google avatar

Ella V.

Yelp
Best addition to Ketchum in a long time. If I had my way, I'd put it at the top of the list in the #1 coffee spot slot. The best pastries, coffee, service, and ambiance in the café community; you can even browse for a new jean jacket while you wait for your drink. Free Wi-Fi, too!
google avatar

Marlena H.

Yelp
A very tasteful concept, as for me, it was too pricey . Should have tried a drink but was concerned about price
google avatar

Jason K.

Yelp
The baked goodies are delicious. Local beans and the taste is great enough I don't need to add cream which is saying something. The service is friendly and fun.

Yelp
Yummy treats, the BEST coffee, beautiful clothes and friendly customer service. The front patio is a great place to relax and enjoy scenic views of downtown Ketchum.

Angela L.

Yelp
Excellent coffee and vintage clothing selection. The couple who owns and operate the business are experts in both areas, personable, patient and helpful in every way. Their taste is impeccable, you won't be able to just go for a coffee without leaving with some of the best vintage finds.

Kami T.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Ketchum. I'm from the Salt Lake City area. This is the most pretentious coffee shop known to man. I ordered a vanilla macchiato. The lady/owner stated "macchiatos don't have flavoring, I'll make you a vanilla latte because that's clearly what you're asking for". I'm nice, so I took the vanilla latte without arguing, and failed to mention to her that I frequently buy flavored macchiatos at Starbucks. Is she really this clueless? Does she not know what her competitors are selling? To top it off, the vanilla latte was the most tasteless, disgusting, watered down coffee I've had. I would walk down the street and go to Starbucks before ever going to this place. Such a shame because I try to buy local, but this pretentious, yuppie business can't hold a candle. The clothes are also items that a person wouldn't have even worn back in 1982. It's also not clear where you're suppose to place your coffee order. Don't go inside, you'll get shooed out quickly. Nothing good about this establishment.

Lindsey T.

Yelp
Very tasty new coffee place in downtown Ketchum. Had a delicious cappuccino and a very good scone. Nice place to hangout and relax on a nice summer day.
