"While the strip mall storefront doesn’t look like much, this local favorite is in the business of serving the best of Hawaii’s locally grown coffee. Unlike the rest of the U.S., Hawaii is uniquely hospitable to coffee farming, with each island producing countless delicious varieties. The café, in addition to brewing the perfect lattes, cappuccinos, and Americanos, has a small but mighty menu of breakfast and lunch basics with a local twist (ask for a toasted bagel slathered in guava butter). We like stopping by on our way to the airport to pick up fresh-roasted souvenirs for friends back home."

Google
Visited Maui for about a week and tried probably every coffee shop you could name, but by far this one was my favorite. I had to go back twice before I left because it was so good. I got the Iced Honey Latte and it was absolutely delicious. I’ve never boasted about a coffee shop like I have for this one. The vibes are calm and homey, and the employees are very kind. I would recommend this to every person visiting Maui for both coffee and non coffee drinks

Husband is a coffee connoisseur. We were recommended this place by an airport employee.. Boooy are we grateful she suggested it. We flew in Thursday and headed straight here. Hubby had the salmon on an everything bagel. I had the bacon and egg croissant and it was delish! I tried the lavender iced coffee and it had the right amount of flavor. Hubby had regular house coffee and it as up to his liking. We’re headed back home today and hubby needed his coffee fix. MCR does NOT disappoint. Today I tried their reishi coffee with coconut flavor and WOW soo good.

Delicious drinks all around. Whether you're a coffee fan or not they have amazing refreshing options. Staff were super friendly with great service, especially Beau. A must stop when visiting Maui!

Google
Absolutely loved this place! Had the best iced latte ever and service was fast! Also enjoyed breakfast sandwich that was delicious.

Google
The vibes are great. Staff who took my order was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a blended match drink which was delicious. A raspberry cream cheese muffin also very tasty. The female who took my order did tell me my breakfast wrap would be taking 10-15 minutes which I didn’t mind. Place wasn’t packed or busy. It was annoying that they took 45 minutes just for wrap. I kindly asked for an ETA twice. People who came and ordered after me, got their food. They compensated with a free pastry, which tasted like heaven. The matcha filling was out of this world and the bread complimented it so well. I will be coming back I just hope they don’t take forever next time.

Went to meet a friend I haven't spoken to in over 40 years. He invited me for coffee to this coffee house. The atmosphere had a comfortable feel to it with great decor. It is a smaller place that only had a few tables, which, to me, was a downfall, though. Coffee prices were higher than most places on Maui. The coffee was bitter and not to my liking.

Google
Cute coffee shop with delicious coffee, the best bagels I have ever tasted (get the everything/asiago) and the staff are very friendly and kind. We also heard the pastries are 12/10 but didn’t have a chance to try them.

Melinda

Google
My partners favorite spot to grab a latte/ chai when we’re in town! Friendly staff. Cute spot. Good vibes. Alternative milk options- coconut and oat. Free parking in small lot. Tables indoor and out. Restrooms available for customers, ask front staff for key. Close to airport and Costco.

Yelp
love this place! eclectic cafe with kind customer service and relaxed atmosphere :) my favorites: - huevos bagel (unreal. share between 2 people or you will have a kanak attack) - bullet coffee - pastries

Yelp
We went to Maui Coffee Roaster and tried Flat White. The coffee was really fresh and strong. The ambience and service are great. Loved it. I would highly recommend this place if you love coffee.

Yelp
I have been here several time. I like the coffee a lot better than the big chains plus I know this is a local owned business. The prices are decent and they use better quality coffee than the big chains. The food is always fresh. This time around we ordered a flat white and a cold brew for drinks, had the ham and cheese everything bagel.the food was tasty and the service was quick and friendly.this place definitely has more character than your typical cookie cutter chain. The photos and the decor here are great and just add to the ambiance. Will definitely be back again. Also a great place if you wanna pickup some good coffee for a decent price.

Yelp
Local spot hidden on the edge of an industrial complex. The breakfast sandwich is now on my top 5. Soft English muffin, oozy cheese and perfectly cooked egg will stay in the memory of my tastebuds until the next time. Coffee is STRONG....think jet fuel.

Yelp
I heard Maui was known for their coffee, so after hearing many good comments on this place, we had to take a stop. The shop is very spacious with lots of coffee and breakfast varieties. We got the Brew of the Day, which was a blend of hazelnut, chocolate, and macadamia nut. It was honestly so good! We were a little worried as it was a hot coffee on a hot day, but it was not an issue. The temperature of the coffee was perfect, and I could taste all the hints of hazelnut, chocolate, and macadamia. Paired with creamer, it was perfect. And the coffee was so well priced! With such friendly baristas and vibes, we would definitely return for more!

Yelp
The best local coffee you can get. Authentic and honest roasters. They have great coffee, great nick nacks and beans to take home! Pricy, but good beans costs money. The lady working took the time to explain the different beans and roasts to my bf and recommended some beans based on his likes and his normal order from Starbucks. That's always a good way to gague someone's taste! Who doesn't drink starbucks?! Great customer service! I am 100% coming back any time I am in Maui.

Yelp
Embarking on a quest for the perfect cup of coffee led me to this local treasure, a beacon for coffee connoisseurs who prefer the charm of independent cafes over the ubiquitous Starbucks. With its high praise and promising reviews, it beckoned. The Honeybee Lavender Latte, the day's special, was nothing short of a masterpiece. A symphony of sweet honey and aromatic lavender, it was the quintessential refreshment for the island's warmth, served over ice to crystalline perfection. While the prices may nudge the higher end of the spectrum, it's a small premium for the quality and experience offered. The cafe's ambiance is complemented by a cozy seating area, a selection of coffee-related products, stylish apparel, and bags that echo the island's vibe. The baked goods menu is extensive, each item seemingly baked with care and freshness in mind. It's a place where every sip and bite feels like an indulgence in island luxury.

Yelp
I think I've found my new favorite coffee shop on Maui, Maui Coffee Roaster located along Hana Highway, offer excellent lattes. I had the iced honey latte with two shots. It was full bodied with lots of flavor with a good amount of sweetness. I do like my lattes on the sweeter side so you may want them dial it back if you prefer less sweetness. Price is pretty standard for most specialty coffee drinks nowadays but in my opinion it's worth it for good coffee.

Yelp
I absolutely adore this coffee (and so much more!) shop! Beautifully crafted coffees and drinks and fun staff. A great place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Maui at its finest.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious coffee and the huevos bagel was spectacular! They have shirts and trinkets you could buy and coffee grounds. Stop on way to airport.
google avatar

Jen M.

Yelp
Google Maps made this place a little tricky to find since it looks like there is a Roastery in the building behind the building with the actual coffee shop. Inside there's a lot of coffee gear, choices for coffee, coffee beans being processed in store, and service was friendly. Luckily I came during a happy cap time where cappuccinos for one shot was $2 and two shots was $2.50. Flavor was very nice - but since I got it around 4:00 p.m., woo... I stayed up to 3:00 a.m. but my bad for ordering a double so late. will definitely return again to get some beans!
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
The bacon egg and cheese on a croissant is absolutely incredible! I come from NY and it's a must. The service is always wonderful as well as the ambience. These people work so hard and they are always pleasant to deal with.
google avatar

Yelp
The banner outside says "Voted the Best Coffee on Maui" so I was a bit skeptical, but man this place is great! We've tried different coffee places on most days of this trip, and Maui Coffee Roasters was the only one we wanted to come back to. My friend even bought coffee beans! You get a free drip/tea with purchase of 1 lb. They have a big menu that's not too overpriced, free wifi (it's a bit slow though), good food, air conditioning, lots of seating, and a bathroom. Overall very clean and wonderful experience! I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but I could really taste the flavors in their cold brews and hot coffees! I also got a Thai High Iced Coffee and banana muffin which were both delicious. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Curtis T.

Yelp
This is a go to coffee spot if you're looking for a place to grab coffee and meet. They do get really busy from morning to lunch. Parking is a little tight, but there are a lot of stalls wrapped around the building. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Their coffees have a good punch of caffeine if you need that extra jolt in the morning. I've had their mocha and drip coffees and both were great.

Yelp
A trendy coffee shop in which you can get anything coffee related. Use the Yelp check in code to get $4 off a pound of coffee!

Yelp
I'm not a regular here but I wish I was. They serve delicious coffee and many other drinks. When you walk in you smell the coffee right away. I ordered a cold brew with Mac Nut syrup and milk. Soooo delicious. I also got a Mac nut cookie that was amazing, forgot to take a picture. They also serve sandwiches, croissants and more. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Made sure we loved our drinks before we left. Will stop by again before we leave Wailea.

Yelp
Although they were voted as best on the island, I didn't find anything exceptional from them except for the prices and bagged coffee options. Having ordered through their online portal, I found it difficult to find someone to pick up my singular drink. I waited in line with others for 10 minutes or so as I observed drinks and bagels flying out the door. There were baked pastries in the glass case on the left and coffee appliances on the right. At the register in the back, there were various coffee beans that were purchasable. The person who helped me was friendly and she gave me my beverage that was stored in the fridge. My drink was a bit melty by the time I took the sip so I hope the format changes in the future to speed up the experience and retain the coffee presentation. =ORDERED= *Thai High Iced Coffee: having paid $7 for a small size, I expected the drink to have at least been accurate to its name. I took my first sip in anticipating of robust coffee flavor countered by the sweetness of condensed milk and fragrant nut based extracts--none of that occurred. The coffee lacked any body and classic elements of a Thai Iced Coffee. I can see why people stop by given their excellent selection of coffee beans but the beverages served were unacceptable, let alone should be served at the current prices. Maybe try out their bagged versions but I wouldn't pay $7+ for a subpar drink or $12+ for a bagel.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Friday for coffee and breakfast before embarking on Road to Hana. Greeted with 'Best Coffee in Maui' sign outside the door. Atmosphere was local and lowkey even though they sell a bunch of coffee and souvenirs. The Maui cold brew was light and not too acidic. I also purchased day old pastry (in picture) which was on sale. The breakfast wrap was a bit too salty for my taste. Would have purchased something else. Plenty of seats and tables indoors and some outdoors. Good place to stop by !

Yelp
I think this has the best coffee of the local coffee shops in Maui ! Love their lattes ! They know how to make it ! Just the right foam , extra hot but not burnt ! Service is pretty good most days . Ambiance is ok too , not that much seating its busy often hard to get a table if you want to have your coffee there .

Kamaka K.

Yelp
Great vibe and friendly staff!! The drinks and food are always yummy here. I always get a hibiscus tea for my drink. When I have my breakfast, I always get the breakfast burrito.
google avatar

Art C.

Yelp
They make a tasty cup of joe, but the cappuccino is sadly not what purists, like us, prefer. Just too big, too much... But still quite tasty.
google avatar

Sherene H.

Yelp
Best oat macadamia nut iced latte!! It is seriously so smooth and delicious. Not too sweet. Their ratio of milk, espresso, and syrup is perfect. So sad they are closed on Sundays! Super quick service and there are seats for you to enjoy your drinks. I finished my latte in minutes!
google avatar

Delvia W.

Yelp
Came here to buy coffee to take home. Danielle was awesome! I told her what I like and she made it happen!! Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Overall enjoyed my experience and recommend one stopping buy to purchase local coffee to take home. Hope you enjoy.

Yelp
Dropped by on a Friday morning around 8:30am. There were quite a bit of people lining up for food and coffee. I got a latte with vanilla mac nut flavoring. The coffee was good. It was smooth. The flavoring was a tad bit too sweet for me, but I liked the flavor combination. The coffee was a great way to wake myself up for the day.
google avatar

Wendy C.

Yelp
Came here for a quick coffee run before road to Hana! I ordered the ice vanilla macadamia nut latte which was one of the coffee of the day. You can pick one or two espresso shots. Overall, it was good with a lot of macadamia nut flavor but on the sweeter end for me. The wait wasn't too long and the staff was really nice! We sat outside in the sun while we enjoyed our food and coffee :) Would recommend this coffee shop if any one needs a pick me up before road to Hana!
google avatar

Jared D.

Yelp
Worth the flight over from Oahu. Best Nitro Cold Brew ever! Will try to come here every time I'm on Maui!
google avatar

J P.

Yelp
Amazing flavor. Worth the wait!! Great hospitality. Tiny hole in the wall. Beats any chain fast-food place for breakfast
google avatar

Sanjali P.

Yelp
Service here is friendly and the food is great! Had the best sausage, egg, and cheddar breakfast sandwich here! I love breakfast sandwiches so it's says a lot that this one was FAVORITE OF ALL TIME! The açaí smoothie was also very good. Only downside is that food took forever to come out! Otherwise great stop before heading to the airport.
google avatar

Jay P.

Yelp
Came here while waiting for food from Tin Roof, needed something cool for the kids and caffeine for the adults and there were plenty of options for both. The walls are decorated and almost like a local art museum. They also sell a huge amount of merchandise, beans, and, gifts. We were tempted to immediately grab beans and macadamia nuts for gifts but decided to wait till later in the trip. Beans are a wide variety of Kona from different regions. Each roasted In small batches with an efficient and eco roaster I haven't seen anyone else mention in their "about us". Flat white and iced coffee were excellent, brewed perfectly with good process, temperature, and timing. The kids got the dragon fruit smoothie and the entire thing vanished in under 5 minutes. I had a sip of it and it was very refreshing, freshly blended and cooling for a hot Maui day.
google avatar

Katie T.

Yelp
I can see why this is a popular spot! The line was to the door when I arrived, but it gave me time to look at the menu and all the various Hawaiian merchandise they have. It took about ten minutes for me to get to order. I got the Huevos bagel on sesame. I asked for the jalapeños to be left off but that was overlooked; I just picked them out when my order came. It was cheesy, tomato deliciousness. The drip coffee I had was really good! I wish the coffee bags had been set up at the start of the line rather than at the end as I felt pretty rushed to choose which bags I wanted once near the register. The woman taking orders was patient and also ground one bag for me based on the machine I use. Be sure to check in to use the $3.95 off a pound bag of coffee coupon. Also, with each bag purchased you get either a drip coffee or iced tea.
google avatar

Jerry M.

Yelp
If you are looking for a place to get fresh roasted Hawaiian coffee beans look no further. MCR feathers a robust selection of coffee beans you can bring home as gifts for the coffee connoisseur in your life. Forget supermarket and connivence store tourist gift coffee bags. You have no idea how long they have been sitting around in the supermarket slowly oxidizing. Why not get your beans fresh roasted? These guys got the beans. Also, from what i observed while buying the beans, they also make some very tasty looking breakfasts too. Recommend.
google avatar

Maria A.

Yelp
Worth the wait.. I had been waiting for weeks to try this place out after hearing sooo many positive things from friends. Def worth it! Really good breakfast sandwhiches!
google avatar

B L.

Yelp
Possibly worst coffee house ever? Cute inside but workers dgaf that's short for don't give a F*** to be clear. Order was taken by a barista with brown hair and blond bleached underneath. Nasty attitude. Not just with me but everyone else. We had just come from a 3AM wake up call to see Haleakala and NEEDED coffee. I got a Ube iced Latte and it sucked. Breakfast food is unreasonably priced. I mean, California prices are cheaper. Spent $60 for 2 iced coffees, 1 quiche (yuck), 1bfast Sammy (good), 1 bfast burrito (good). To add insult to injury it took FOREVER to get coffee and food.
google avatar

Maria R.

Yelp
This is a very popular coffee shop and it's great! Lots of great options- not only coffee, but much more! There are also pastries and more substantial food as well. There are small tables both inside and out. The tables are more set up for small groups, but big groups could pull some chairs together. This is a great place to meet with friends or to get some work done!

C W.

Yelp
When we were visiting Maui, we wanted to find the best possible coffee shop to get our daily coffee before all of our adventures. After trying other recommended here on Yelp, we're so thrilled to find this place and it was honestly our favorite coffee on the island. Thankfully we bought some of their beans to bring home too so we can continue to enjoy them! Highly recommend their 100% Kona pour over coffee it's a 10/10! Also enjoyed their Ube Latte with Oat Milk it was delicious! Still recommending this place to all our friends who visit Maui! Thank you!
google avatar

Basya K.

Yelp
Don't let this unassuming strip mall coffee shop fool you - it's worth the stop. I wanted a quick breakfast before driving to the airport and I'm so glad Google guided me here! My latte was strong (I can't stand those watered down or overly sweet ones) and my salmon eggs benedict had THE BEST hollandaise I've ever had. I didn't take a picture because I ate so fast! Haha.
google avatar

Christopher I.

Yelp
Yep this should be the first stop off the airplane before Costco and Whole Foods this cup of coffee will start the trip perfectly. Kona pour over takes 20 min and is worth the Waite
google avatar

Hemang S.

Yelp
Cute, local shop! We're a fan of the vast options and the snacks! Plenty of parking out front. Will definitely be back to try more drinks.
google avatar

Lucy H.

Yelp
Going to spend the last remaining days of being able to dine - in trying to eat and drink at all of my favorite places ... oh, the $$$ I will not be spending. Whatever shall I do with it?? I love the Smoked Salmon Bagel here!!

Esther L.

Yelp
Love this place. The coffee is tasty, the vibe is warm, and the service is friendly. Lots of extra items to buy for gifts and tee shirts. Also! Get the pandesal, you will thank me.

Yelp
We stopped in on a Saturday morning on our way to the swap meet for some much needed caffeine. The location is easy to get to by the airport and had convenient parking. It was relatively quiet when we arrived and the staff was kind and great about answering some questions we had. My husband was happy to see they had drip coffee vs just espresso and ordered a red eye. I opted for their cold brew. All the coffee was rich and well balanced.
google avatar

Joe P.

Yelp
Best coffee on the island! Highly recommend the house blend or the bulletproof coffee
google avatar

John A.

Yelp
I was in need of coffee! Did a quick search and found this brew house. Ordered a Black and Tan along with a tropical ice tea. Black and Tan - off the get go, bugah is strong. Packed a big "Hello". Tropical Ice Tea- this tea has tons on flavor. Note, this tea is unsweetened, I'm sure you can add sugar or sweetener to it. This tea is like drinking a fruit punch in a tea form. Definitely a must have if you don't drink coffee. Ok, I'm up!! Hello Maui!!
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
We needed coffee when we landed and Maui Coffee Roasters is very near the airport. The shop is super cute with a very friendly staff. I read others reviews and was intrigued by the chocolate cold brew. My husband got regular cold brew and we were both very happy with our choices. We stopped back in later in the week and got the same plus I ordered a bagel. Again service was speedy, coffee was great and the bagel was quite good. The vibes are lovely and the coffee is great, make sure to stop by when you are in Maui.
google avatar

Carlie M.

Yelp
We came here twice while on our vacation in Maui. They have a large menu with lots of tasty options. They also have a great looking food menu with delicious pastries! I got a hot honey latte both times! Not overly sweet but very tasty. The first visit, my husband got the bullet latte and the second time he got a cold brew. There something for everyone! They have great seating options and the workers are patient. Good experience!
google avatar

Sean G.

Yelp
Such amazing people and service! Not only is the coffee fresh and carefully made, but the food is awesome. I had the eggs Benedict, they are very good. That's not even the best part- I unfortunately left my purse there, and, being out of state, was duly devastated when I realized it when already past security. I called them to ask if by an off-chance they found it and could ship. They did! And not only were they friendly and helpful on the phone, they shipped it back for free. These are good people running a great business absolutely worth a try.
google avatar

Yelp
Located by the Maui Airport, we gave this place a visit to grab a coffee before catching our flight. The staff was very friendly and willing to explain the menu. We ordered the following for our party: Cold brew: smooth and fresh Thai High Coffee: sweetened with condensed milk, it was perfect cup of coffee. We asked for it iced. 100% Kona Coffee: a splurge and a treat. Super smooth and very aromatic. The kids got chocolate milk (standard, not too sweet) and a banana nut muffin and a giant chocolate chip cookie as big as the size of their face. Pastries weren't too sweet or too greasy that you see the oil seeps through the white pastry bag.

Yelp
A few days ago, it was time to stock up on beans, so we went to Maui Coffee Roasters. They've been voted number 1 coffee on Maui for good reason. I can drink most any coffee, but why bother when you can get the best. We got a couple pounds on the macadamia nut flavor, which should last us a few days, lol. But wait, there's more! With every pound purchased, you also get a free cup from the self serve urns. We planned to take our coffee and our Donut Dynamite treats (purchased earlier) to Stable Road for a relaxing morning on the beach. FYI, Maui Coffee Roasters has a fine selection of pastries and other treats for your enjoyment, too. Unfortunately, mother nature had other plans that clashed with my bright idea. The wind picked up as we arrived at Stable Road and a cold shower blew in. As my luck would have it, my car window would not roll up. After a little pleading, it decided to close. Whew. We detoured to a Kam beach on the south side for blue sky and our morning indulgence.

Yelp
Loved this place!!!! The coffee and pastries are amazing. The barrista was super nice as well
