Maui Gold Pineapple

A great food and farm tour with amazing pineapples and pineapple products. Can’t recommend this tour enough. See our Tour on YouTube (search Tonya Alexis and Pete - Maui Gold tour). We did the basic tour and got three small free pineapples at the end of the tour. Tasting the fresh fruit in the field was a one of a kind experience. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful experience. Enjoyed the views, the learning, tasting pineapple, taking one home. Totally think this tour should be high on the list of best things to do in Maui. Taking a pineapple home makes a great souvenir. And a special thanks to Brian for a great tour!

We visited Maui Gold and toured the pineapple farm/fields. It was very fun and informative. During the tour you are taught the Hawaii pineapple industry history, the farming process and much more. You even get to taste pineapple on the tour! The gift shop is nice too, with cool merch and pineapple related snacks.

The tour started with sn Overview then into the processing plant. Lots of interesting details about the process e.g. pineapples that don't float in the float tank are not processed for sale. After the plant we went into the fields by bus. We saw every stage of the process from fields in fallow to newly planted to ready for harvest. Of course we also had taste testing. Nothing like nicely ripe, very fresh pineapples, right in the field!

This was a neat experience. Shiloh was out tour guide - great guide, very informative! There is way more work into growing pineapples than I ever thought. We bounced around the field, learned the history of pineapples on Maui and how to pick a good one we we get home. Our tour was just over an hour as we had a small group. You might think that this is expensive, however after learning about the place and having some pineapple - well worth the time to stop. Mahalo.

I had a wonderful experience on the farm tour! Our guide, Kennedy, was extremely knowledgeable & fun. It was so cool to pile into a tour bus & head up a dirt road into the working pineapple fields. We even got to eat fresh cut pineapple right next to the harvesters. To top it off we got a pineapple to take home!

We had a wonderful tour! Our tour guide Brian even kept our rambunctious 10 year old boy entertained. Brian kept it fun and we even learned along the way. The best part was the delicious pineapples we got to sample on the tour and the ones we go to take home. They even package them for your flight home. This tour was a big win!

Amazing place! Be warned, however, this will recalibrate your taste buds for what a pineapple should taste like. The canned trash you get from the grocery store will never be good enough after this tour. The tour itself, was very informative, a lot of fun, and well worth your time and money. Yes, you will get to taste some Maui Golds and they even give you one to take home (ours didn't last past that night at the hotel).
