I recently moved to the Swansboro, North Carolina area. Unfortunately I discovered my roof was leaking and I needed to find someone who could be here in a timely manner and do a good job. After several calls to roofers in the area (and beyond) I chose Maven Roofing. After a lot of discussions, thought and consideration, I decided to replace the entire roof as it would be the best thing to do. Having peace of mind was a big factor. I’ve owned several homes and have had to put a new roof on a few of them. I have to say that my experience with Maven is by far the best experience I’ve ever had! Everyone, from start to finish, that I spoke with was friendly, courteous and quite knowledgeable. Every question I asked was answered quickly and with precise expertise. The crew was especially hard-working, courteous and always had a smile for me! Their craftsmanship was top notch! From the moment they started working, I knew I had made the right choice! They certainly went above and beyond my expectations! Nothing is more comforting than knowing that you have a solid roof over your head, especially being so close to the water where we all know the weather can be pretty harsh at times. I had a leak on my roof and for some reason couldn't get it taken care of. But Maven Roofing sent Anthony Castro out and man this guy was Awesome. He took care of the leak, water tested and ensured the leak area was sealed in about 2hrs or so. I would HIGHLY recommend Anthony with Maven Roofing

Amazing experience with Maven Roofing replacing my roof!!! I couldn't be happier with the work that Maven Roofing did on my home. From start to finish their team was incredibly professional, courteous and efficient. Antonio and Austion clearly explained the process, answered all my questions and delivered high quality roofing products that looks fantastic. Luis was the site manager and was wonderful. He kept me updated with progress of project and went above and beyond to help answer any of my questions or concerns. Mario and his crew were respectful of my property and left the work area spotless. They were fast, efficient and the quality of their work is superb. Wow, these guys were awesome. We live in Ohio and visit our cottage in Sneads Ferry several times a year. At the end of Feb, 2025 I called Maven on a Thursday. Isaiah Smith and Joe (I forgot his last name!) came out the next day to inspect and quote. We accepted the scope of work and price. We were planning to return to Ohio on Sunday and figured we'd come back when they were available for the work. Well, they were able to do the work Wednesday, so we just stayed a few more days! Anthony Supeck was the Project Manager and Alex (never got his last name) was one of the leaders of the work crew. The crew was exceptional and obviously experienced. Every part of the job was well done. Very thorough, skilled and conscientious workers - and polite! Anthony did a great job keeping the job moving, ensuring all the materials were available and that the scope of work was fully completed. The weather was getting sketchy late in the afternoon, so he helped out with the work and they pulled out just before dark. Overall, I was impressed with Isaiah and Joe's visit and thorough explanation of the materials and methods. Isaiah visited the job site for about an hour to observe the work in progress and see if we had any questions or concerns. Anthony never hesitated to answer my questions. Alex and the work crew were remarkable. The way the roof was installed according to Florida hurricane standards impressed me and fill me with confidence. The warranty is awesome. Isaiah and Anthony each praised their employer. They love the company, the owner, their commitment to quality, and their desire to earn and keep the customer's trust. Isaiah said, "If this guy was selling coffee makers, I'd still want to work for him!" Maven is truly a professional roofing company. This ain't no Schmuck With a Truck who can slap down shingles! I appreciate the online customer portal. All the documents are posted there and all the photos of the job. I picked out some to demonstrate before, during and after. Now, of only I could find a roofing company this good for my Ohio home.....

We had JP Uribe come out to tarp our roof before more storm damage could happen, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He was extremely professional, kind, and courteous from start to finish. JP did a very thorough job, carefully securing the tarp and making sure everything was done properly. While working, he even discovered an additional leak we weren’t aware of and secured that too. His attention to detail and professionalism really stood out. A+ service — I’d absolutely call on him again!

First time homeowner ! And maven has made this whole process painless! Everyone communicates very well. We were able to push up the job by 2 weeks ! When I got my quote done Scott was knowledgeable and explained everything to me ! On the day of , the team arrived promptly and were very very happy about the snacks and drinks I left out for them! And Spencer communicated with me about the whole process while it was getting done. If I had question he answered it , in a way I would understand. Spencer deserves more than 5 stars, the whole team was great to work with. I’m excited to enjoy my new home with my new roof !

Maven roofing did an excellent job on my roof. Dylan, the project manager was very attentive and made sure everything was done correctly throughout the entire project. Everything went smooth and even the people in the office were polite and professional. I can’t say enough good things about this company.

Anthony & Fernando were respectful and went above and beyond to make sure my property was left better than when they arrived. They explained the issue clearly, showed up on time and stayed until the job was finished. I have already recommended them to a neighbor! Thank you!!

I hired these guys to do some work and as far as I knew the work was done right but I could not go up the roof to check. I noticed a leak on one of my walls and I had to be persistent to get them to come out. After the tech left they ghosted me with no response. I finally had another roofing company come out to look and lo and behold there were problems up there that were never addressed as Maven claimed there was nothing wrong. I don't believe this is a veteran-owned company as I am a veteran and their company is in Holly Ridge which has a strong veteran population. I think they advertise that to further their scam.

This roofing company milked my insurance for 40,000 dollars for a roof replacement just sheeting, sealing, shingles. For that expense, they shouldn't have used cheap particle board, but solid slates OSB boards. A lot of nail didn't hit the runners and they didn't order enough membrane material for the flat parts of the roof so they stretched it out and its tearing. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! INSURANCE FRAUDS.

Came out agreed on a price for roof repair. Completed work in a timely manner within budget.

Non-Stop soliciting! I've contacted them many times to stop soliciting. My roof is only 5 years old - they insist it needs replacing. It's inspected yearly (it does have a touch of algae). I've told them I have a roofer. Sure as shit, they showed up again the next day. I work from home - I can't have these nonsense interruptions. Take No for an answer!!!!! If you're business is so great, why do you have to constantly canvass neighborhoods for business?

We had a leak in our roof. Maven Roofing were attentive to fixing the problem. Great to work with and no more leak. They also offered us a warranty which we couldn't pass up. 100% will recommend.

Finally a roofing company that doesn't just try to push for a full insurance claim when your roof has a minor defect. They actually want to help with the specific issue and recommend a personalized solution. Love that they are military owned and operated too!​

After Florence we had a local company install a new roof which turned out to be a nightmare and now had to have a new roof installed. After much search, we went with Maven Roofing. They were very professional and courteous. They started early in the morning and were quiet while removing our outside furniture and covering our deck etc. The site manager stayed pretty much all day. After completion I had a small concern and they came right out and addressed the issue. We also like the fact they are a veteran owner company. So far we are happy and would recommend them.

I'm a local Realtor and was in need of an immediate roof evaluation. They were on-site within 45 minutes and provided written evaluation shortly thereafter. Austion Wright and the team at Maven were exceptional to work with. Highly recommend!!!

This is November10,2024 and I am still waiting For my money back with interest would be nice. * * * August 8th, I contracted with Maven Roofing to put a new roof on my home. I gave them a down payment. The job was to be down August 16th. Meanwhile no one had ever been up on my roof. Day came, no show no call. Around 2:30 I called the salesperson to find out what was going on. The next day I get a call wanting another $3,000 for my Porch roof, that was fine among other rip-off things. I was so sick that day. My pain was an 8 He called back again lowered it to $2000, no tape No guarantee. (All of this is being recorded.) I Said he was going to sign my name; the paperwork wouldn't come thru. I cancelled my contract and notified the county office about no permits. The 27 of August I got an e-mail from a representative of the company canceling the contract, and another ck was in the mail. What a LIE. This company is a scam. Next comes phone calls with INTIMITATION & ATTEMPTED EXTORTION. They ignore the BBB and The NC Attorney General's Office. Don't be fooled the go by several different names. A start with Maven. Out of Hamstead, NC or Tenn. Please send this on. I am 68 years old. I have not found no help yet. Talk to about 10 lawyers. This company is sad. I wish I would have looked at Yelp. All their call i am told are recorded. They also go by Maven Advantage, Maven Roofing & Solar. They gave me a license for NC and Tenn. I'm afraid to answer my phone. God bless. I'm waking up with hives in the morning from stress. I still have no floors in my living room. No Fixed roof. I just had major CANCER surgery on my left leg last Monday. They ignore The Attorney General Office. I'm Almost 70. Come on now ! This has happened to other people. I live on a limed income. God Bless! I cannot give a star in good conscience.

Run. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Called asking for a free estimate, unbeknownst to me they had my husband initial and sign a document as a "formality" while we waited to hear back from the insurance adjuster. Didn't go over in depth with him about what would happen if we decided to go in a different direction. They came and took pictures and that was it. Sent over a different tech (very nice guy btw) who just kinda hung out while the adjuster did her thing. They agreed the roof needed to be replaced. Spoke with a rep for maven who assured us all we owed was the deductible even when I asked about the depreciation. Next I spoke with a manager who said that was incorrect and after deductible and depreciation we would be out of pocket almost $9000 for this job. We are a military family on one income and I wanted to get a few more quotes before moving forward. At that point their original estimate of $13k had to come to down to match what our insurance valued the repair at. It was at this time they sent over three different contracts in one day because they had added in extended warranties and upgrades that we had not discussed. I was not feeling great about the whole thing and told him I wanted to talk to some other companies. He never mentioned being locked in as the new contracts had not been signed. He told us multiple times that we wouldn't find any cheaper. This was for a regular roof install. After speaking to other companies, we got price quotes for cheaper and the roof would be fortified/certified and still cost less. At this point I felt very certain I did not want to proceed with this company. They then sent an invoice saying because we canceled with them, they want 20% of estimate in liquidated damages. $2175 for talking to an adjuster and taking some pictures. Close to the amount our insurance paid us for the roof repair!!! There has been no physical work done on the roof, no date set, no materials ordered and I'm to pay them over $2000. They keep asking for me to call them and I refuse because I want everything in writing. DO NOT GET SUCKED IN. I wish I would have been there to read the fine print the day of the supposed "free estimate" because I would never have agreed to stick with them and waited until I got more quotes. Learn from our mistake!

Easily the worst experience I've ever had with a company. Agreed to pay for new roof in payments, and ended up getting overcharged. I could never reach anyone when I called, was always told I'd be followed up with and never had anyone reach out. Terrible experience, would never speak with me and always called my wife, who would tell them to go through me. I recommend absolutely anyone else.

Negative 5 is my real score. I am currently having to fight to have my deposit refunded after I realized how I had just fallen prey to unethical business practices. Super mad because I just went through same exact scenario with Roto Rooter two weeks before this. Went from $300 to $800 to $1k in a matter of minutes. So about Maven: Rain came in through range hood exhaust. Mold quickly grew. Maven said I should just call a small company because this job was too small. If I was going to spend $1600 then things would be different. I felt pressure because we cannot cook under these conditions. So I said OK. By the time he went back to his truck and came inside it was up to "around 2 thousand". Then when he said I needed to sign the estimate in my email to get started, there was no break down of the costs and it was $2200. Bad at estimating or good at escalating costs? Like an idiot I signed and paid 50% deposit. Shortly after I started to have buyers remorse because of recent experience with RR. Then. I realized he never even went on the roof. So I called for a refund. I keep getting "only technician can cancel and refund and he is on another call. We will call you back in 30 minutes." But they didn't. SEVEN phone calls later and still no refund. DO NOT USE! Google reviews are pure BS.

Outstanding service from start to finish. They are quick, efficient and the clean up afterwards left everything looking perfect. I highly recommend. They even help you assess the damages to help you with insurance claims.

We hired Maven to fix a small leak in the roof over our garage. They came out right away and quickly and patched up the roof with shingles that don't match the rest of the roof. The roof wasn't fixed and rainwater kept getting into the garage, I called them back because it wasn't ever fixed and they wanted to charge me full price again ($1200); begrudgingly the repair guy came back only to then have some sales guy try to sell me on a special spray over the roof with a warranty. Long story short-- they came twice to fix my roof, didn't fit anything and now I have to pay another company to undo their sloppy work and actually fix my roof. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I really don't know where to begin. We hired Maven roofing under the impression that their google reviews were legit. They proved to be wrong and the furthest from the truth. I guarantee they have made dummy accounts and created their own reviews. To start with the their advising video was misleading. The video shows a boom truck where the roofers slide the trash into the boom truck to protect your property. That's a joke. They threw everything off the roof with no concern where it landed. Old shingles, cigarette butts and roofing nails. They assured us they would use a magnet to pick up nails after completion of roof. They did not. We have a dog and he ended up getting one stuck in his foot. Finally the day of the job, it rained all day. I HAD a big waterfall pond in the front yard. (Before and after photos of pond) I called Isiah because they were not using the boom truck. There were all kinds of shingles in my pond and all over the yard. Air hoses were wrapped all in my rose bushes. I know some people don't care about things like this but we do. Especially that is not was advertised. I expressed my concerns to Isiah. He then called the project manager to fix our concern. The project manager returned to the site for a few minutes to have the workers put a tarp over the pond, but shortly after the tarp was on the other side of the yard. It was too late anyway. They had already punctured the liner of the pond. The project manager was only there an hour the whole day and never got out of the truck. I don't know how a project manager can run a job without getting out of the truck. They didn't start til 10:00 am and it was dark by the time they were done. The roofers asked if they could leave the boom truck and all their tools there since it was so late. We agreed. The next 4 days, serval workers from the company came out and picked up the tools they wanted and left what they didn't want. Mind you not one worker came to the door, we just noticed tools were being picked up. Everyday I called and asked when they were coming to get the rest. Finally on Christmas Eve they came and picked up the boom truck. Never came to the door. The whole process NO ONE ever came and knocked on the door. This company is unprofessional and misleading. By the way, this is NOT a owned and operated by Veteran's. It shows how much they respect our veteran's by advising false information. The review about Maven helping fix a customer's backyard pond. Now that is hilarious!!!

Before hiring Maven for roof repair, I read the reviews posted here for the various roofing companies and in my opinion and actual experience anything less than 5 stars for Maven is an outlier. From my first meeting with Austion to job completion, everything was smooth and professional with all the emphasis on my roofing needs and job satisfaction. Eli and Malon worked in a thoroughly professional manner and kept me informed each step of the way. At job completion, they left the property the way they found it. I recently moved to this area, and in all honesty, this is the only local company that did not act as tho they were doing me a favor rather than being hired to do a job. I could not have made a better choice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My husband and I had our roof damaged by high winds that took a number of shingles off, and we had no idea who to go with to repair it. Thankfully, we found Maven. Of any customer service experience I've had in my life, working with them has been the best of all. Our Account Manager, Nate, made the process run smoothly and easily-- from ensuring he was there when the roof inspector from the insurance company came to assess the damage to advocate for us, to facilitating our insurance billing process, to even offering to help my husband with a backyard pond project he was building, I was beyond impressed by the service he provided. The day that we met him, he personally ensured that a temporary emergency tarp was placed over the spots on our roof where the shingles were missing so that no further damage would occur prior to the repair. Nate and Beth (insurance liaison) were communicative, kind, easy to work with, and thorough. Nate made sure that everything was done perfectly, took the time to search for/pick up any excess nails left over from the job in my yard, and genuinely wanted to get to know me and my husband as people. He is truly the best, and I am grateful for all of the help that Maven provided us.

My husband and I just had our roof replaced by Maven. They were great to work with. Very responsive, easy to work with, quick and efficient service, and did a great job with clean up! We would recommend them for all roofing needs and would 100% use them again in the future.

If there were negative stars, Maven would be negative 10 stars. They done our roof several months ago. Our kitchen exhaust fan hasn't worked since, not to mention the crappy workmanship. Bowed shingle, lots of nails left in the back gutter, just the least of of it. Front shingles are bowed....... Service guy came out today, there was one excuse after the other as to why they aren't responsible. I will be filing complaints with the BBB & Consumer Protection Agency

I asked for a estimate to patch the roof and they came back with an $11,000 estimate for full roof repair, they were very friendly until they realized that my insurance company was not covering the roof and then they were very unhelpful and not communicating.

Mike Gonzalez and his team are absolutely amazing. Pricing was the best around and the quality was incredible. We finally would someone who had great pricing, quality product and excellent customer service! Thanks Maven team!!
