My mother and I came here during our stay at Lost Pines Resort. Sitting outside, we loved the atmosphere and the ambience, with a fire pit behind us and a lively indoor scene in front of us. I ordered the brisket tacos, and my mother ordered the pasta puttanesca. We waited at least 45 minutes, but the food did taste wonderful. The brisket tacos were filled flavorful brisket and crunchy onions. On top were some pineapples to bring some sweetness to the dish. My mother’s pasta was very tasty, and the olives mixed with the noodles were a good addition. However, the garlic bread included with the dish was not very soft and did not taste like much. Even though we waited a long while, our waitress told us that we could get a dessert on the house. We took her up on her offer and ordered the Maverick’s brownie, an extremely rich and decadent dessert topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle. Overall, everything tasted wonderful, and though the kitchen may have been a little backed up, we had a good time.

Great place at Hyatt Lost pines resort. They do take walk-in. Fortunately we could get in a weekend. All the other restaurants needed prior reservations. The place is nice and the servers are attentive. I think because it was weekend it took sometime for the server to get to us. Food is expensive. We ended up paying $100+ for 4. I do have to say that food was good and true texas flavors. Patio sitting is available with space for kids to play. Great place for a nice dinner. They are open till midnight which is great if you are staying at the resort.

The bright n stormy cocktail was refreshing. Enjoyed the brisket tacos with salad and the chicken with gnocchi.

Food and service was great. That being said the prices still didn't quiet match. $13 for cup of soup of the day is excessive. Great soup but not $13 soup. Chicken club was nothing special. Brisket tacos were excellent. The pineapple Pico brought a tang that was a pleasant surprise. I worked at the Hyatt over 15yrs ago and I was very happy to know the brisket is still smoked to the same perfection. We got the wings with sauce on the side(great great grandma can't handle the heat) and I found the Buffalo cream sauce was light and tangy with a heat that still allowed you to enjoy the flavor of the sauce. I had the Wagyu burger and added bacon because bacon. It was great. The sauce compliments the beef and was applied with care as not to make a goopy dripping mess. We were celebrating my birthday and we got a piece cheese cake. They beautifully wrote happy birthday on the plate. No candle no singing (thank goodness) but it tasted amazing. Thick with a smooth creaminess without being heavy. The crust flavourful letting the creamy texture shine. Not a crumbling or soggy mess, just right. Overall the food was amazing but the bill was heavy even after having a couple of their great drinks. The one thing that I felt was missing on their menu was loaded nachos. In general there was no shareable food. It's like the made it for only singles. This can be a deal breaker for many people and I feel they may have shot themselves in the foot. Full and half order nachos would be a great addition. A family resort without a family option on their menu. I know they host conferences, but what better way to bring people together and strengthen bonds then to share a meal together.

We dined here while staying at the Lost Pines Resort this past weekend. For lunch we dined with the kids: they messed up my burger….i told them well done and the burger came out rare. Waitress asked if I wanted it fixed but I decided to go with the chicken sandwich instead which my wife also got. For dinner I dined here at the bar and the service was good however: I got the chicken wings but it felt undercooked. The only good part of the meal was the dessert I got: the warm cookie sundae is highly recommended! The waitress at lunch and the bartender for dinner were super nice. Would I dine here again? Not sure at this point.

This place was absolutely delicious 🤤 The food was amazing and our waitress was awesome 👏 It took a while for them to seat us even though the place was empty but that was ok we didn’t mind. Otherwise it was awesome. I recommend especially if you are chilling at the resort.

The food was great, and our first visit was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, the second time wasn’t quite the same. Our food took over 40 minutes to arrive, and our waitress never refilled our drinks or checked on us during dinner. Thankfully, Maheshwar was amazing and really turned the experience around—thank you for making our visit much better!

These brisket tacos were a great decision! Rich flavor - spicier than my wife expected. So meaty. Server gave great advice on menu.

Yelp
What a find! Delicious food, very friendly and accommodating staff. Great patio & lots of comfy booths inside. They have a great wine selection, and full bar/cocktail menu. Prices are a bit on the high end but worth it. Definitely need to call ahead for a reservation on weekends and peak hours. But we jumped in last minute and there was open seating at the bar. Was perfect for just the two of us. Great salads, and wide selection of appys & mains, something for everyone. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Very slow service, food allergy was not communicated to the kitchen, and food was cold as well as an incorrect order. The server was nice but very limited knowledge of the menu.

Yelp
We are staying at Hyatt's Lost Pine's Resort and Spa for a dance convention. We went to Mavericks after a night filled with dance. We were starving. There was a wait and we were told an hour but it was only 30 minutes. The food was delicious but it took a very long time to come out or get service. The portions were big and the quality was great. We will be eating here again today.

Yelp
This is a restaurant inside Hyatt Lost Pines Resort. They recently changed the menu and added a new vegetarian items. We tried cheese curds and korean cabbage crispy tofu. The items are pricey as expected at a resort. The total came out to be around $45 for those two items. The taco dish came with two tacos and a side (we chose fruit). The tacos were uniquely flavored with a sweet and sour sauce but very messy. The fruit was a cheap mix of grapes, pineapple, honeydew and cantaloupe.

Yelp
The food is good, service good, and the ambiance is great. We always eat outside because the bar is so loud and it is so cold. Outside it is beautiful and so peaceful. At dusk it is fun watching the children (and adults) make S'mores on the large fire pit. We are already looking forward to our next trip.

Yelp
Stopped in several times during a recent business trip. The staff here is always super friendly, but we were here during a conference and over a 4 day period they seemed completely understaffed. If you know the bulk of your business is conference attendees and you clearly know when the conference is happening, you'd think properly staffing the place would be a good idea. Sometimes our wait times just to get a drink were quite ridiculous. The food is decent, it's basic pub grub slightly elevated. Pretty much everything we ate here was solid and not a lot of complaints, aside from the wait times. It's a great place to grab a bite to eat or stop in for a night cap if you are staying at the Hyatt lost pines. Just don't be in a hurry because it's not going to work out well for you.

Yelp
One of Hyatt Lost Pine's hotel dining options so prices are admittedly higher than may be expected. We found a nice selection of appetizers and entrees and were able to be seated both with and without reservations. Dining is both indoor and outdoor with a limited number of tables outdoors. Credit cards accepted including AmEx.

Yelp
Eeesh. One of the few options here at the resort and it isn't an option. For a roadhouse to only offer one steak and get it wrong? Maybe a renaming? Steak was a bad cut, over cooked, and not a trace of salt or pepper to be found. Completely bland. Hospital heart menu steak. Sides were also underwhelming. Food was brought out cooled. Limited dessert options. Tortilla chips are cheap store bought yellow corn chips. Queso was good though. Extremely glad I didn't pay for it.

Yelp
We dined here while staying at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and had a good meal and enjoyed the convenience of its location on the property. When we arrived it was quite busy, however there was no wait which was nice. The bar area was very crowded, but the ambiance wasn't necessarily disturbed. We were quickly greeted by someone, but then without notice our server changed (and never introduced themselves, so it was a bit confusing). The menu had dietary and allergy information labeled and they were able to swap out the tortillas to make the brisket taco gluten free. The tacos were delicious, and I also enjoyed the house salad. My boyfriend ordered a cheeseburger and said it was a "6/10" and a bit underwhelming. After our food arrived we didn't see our server (either of them) for the rest of the night really, about 30 minutes passed, and had empty waters and eventually empty plates while we waited awhile. I ended up going to the host stand to ask if we could get the bill and one of the hosts helped us out. (They were great!) When we saw the server again, nothing was acknowledged and they just gave us a receipt and we headed out. A bit odd, but overall a decent meal.

Yelp
Ambiance: it was dead we were the only couple in the entire restaurant. Place is cute and clean. Service: the service was very slow, I want to believe they forgot our order because we waited over 40 minutes for our food (which sucked because we were planning to eat at another restaurant but they opened an hour later). We kept asking the waitress how long would it take, I had ordered a salad with a steak on the side my husband ordered a burger. She said she would check in but never came back to tell us how long until the food finally came by. The whole time we were there, there was only another family that walked in and ordered, what could have possibly taken that long to cook?! Food: The food was mediocre for the price, I was really hoping it would be great since we don't have that many options in Bastrop. The steak was so small and thin, the salad was nothing special. My husbands wagyu burger was nothing extra ordinary. Very disappointing will not be coming back.

Yelp
Jon was a great server! He was fun & inviting. The pretzel was great! Curds were ok. All of the reviews of the brisket tacos made the dinner even more anticipated - and it was so disappointing that they were mostly cabbage & maybe one slice of brisket. 3 of 4 us ordered them. Tell customers that menu item is sold out Now you've lost credibility as a Hyatt caliber restaurant & we will be hesitant to return & stay at the resort.

Yelp
We almost didn't go here bc of the reviews so I feel compelled to share our experience. We were seated right away outside. There were hummingbirds right next to us, scenery was awesome. Fireflies as the sun went down. So fun. We ordered the crispy Brussels, pretzel, spinach dip, and cheese curds for an app. All were great and they came out so fast. We were a big table and that was something I was so impressed with, we were in and out of there way faster than I anticipated. We got roasted chicken and all the salads, which were passed around to share bc they were really great. All were awesome and again came out so fast. Our server, Erin, was perfectly attentive. Drinks were pretty good. It was pricey but probably expected prices for a resort. I thought the food was good and some of these reviews were far from our experience. It was a nice meal and I wouldn't hesitate to come here again.

Yelp
The service is bad. This is the primary reason for my negative review. It's been tough to get a table, there are a lot of open "reserved" tables, and the staff is less than attentive. We've stayed at Lost Pines twice recently and it was the same both times. The food isn't bad, elevated bar food, and they have a few healthy options.
