I showed up at 6 pm on a weekday, and had to wait an hour to be seated. Because I was alone I got to jump past the 8 or so couples/groups in front of me.
Once I was seated at the counter I was absolutely confused. If I had not had a nice English speaking lady next to me explaining what to do, I would've just be lost. You can either grab plates in front of you from the rotation, or you can order specific items from the menu. When ordering the items you just write down the number, and how many of that item you would like. You then give that to a waiter and they will take care of that for you. They have a rotating "fish" that will bring you your special ordered food, and once you take it off the tray you push a red button in front of you to send the fish back to the chef.
I picked this place because it was known to have quite a few vegetarian options, and it absolutely did not disappoint. There were at least 10-12 veggie options - my favorites being the Inari, tamago (egg nigiri), avocado tempura, fried eggplant, and that's just off the top of my head. The seaweed pate was a pleasant surprise, but the natto and okra sushi's were absolutely disgusting - I didn't realize both items had such a phlegm like consistency to begin with. The soy sauce provided is NOT vegetarian, I believe it has bonito flakes in it. I've read other reviews on happy cow that stated that the chefs will bring you BBQ Sauce (which is vegetarian) or something else if you want it.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a variety of vegetarian options, which can be hard to find in Tokyo.
