Maxanab Hotel Tulum

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was an amazing experience. Special thanks to Mario, Jose, Luis and Milo for making the experience even more special. The front desk staff was so attentive to all our needs before and during the trip. They made it so easy to plan and help with recommendations for our trip. Phenomenal experience. We truly enjoyed how this hotel match the perfect anniversary celebration vibe we were going for. It was more laid back and relaxing than some of the other hotels in the area. The breakfast was amazing! We literally couldn’t wait to wake up just to eat the breakfast! Hands down 10 out of 10! Thank you to all the staff for making it so memorable!! We can’t wait to come back !!

Best place to stay in Tulum hands down. The hotel staff was wonderful and make you feel at home. Luis, Milo and the other staff took care of everything we needed and they were the best people. Whenever we go back we are going to Ma’xanab Hotel. They make you feel like you are their family. Once again Luis was the best and he made sure since we are vegetarian, we could get the food that we wanted. |Thank you for everything

We had a fantastic stay at Ma'xanab. The staff went out of their way to help us. My wife had broken her foot just prior to coming and they very kindly upgraded us to a more accessible room and helped us arrange wheelchair hire. Thanks in particular to Valeria . The restaurant/bar and pool area was beautiful, offered great food and drinks, and we were looked after very well by Milo, Luis and the rest of the team.

My husband booked this hotel as a surprise for my birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. The atmosphere is beautiful, the details are thoughtful, and the entire experience made me feel celebrated.||The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, and every corner of the property feels warm and inviting. I truly loved everything about this place — it was the perfect setting for a birthday getaway, and we’ll definitely be back.

I visited Maxanab Hotel in Tulum for a day pass and was truly impressed from the moment I arrived. The experience was nothing short of exceptional.||First, the parking was spacious and easy, which made the arrival stress-free—a rare find in Tulum! The front desk staff welcomed me warmly, and I have to give a special shout-out to Fabiola, who was not only incredibly polite and professional but also had such a genuine, warm smile that immediately made me feel at home. She answered all my questions with patience and made sure I had everything I needed for a relaxing day.||The restaurant was fantastic—the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re in the mood for a light bite or a full meal, the menu offers something for every taste.||The highlight, of course, was the breathtaking view of the beach. The vibe was serene and luxurious, with plenty of space to relax and soak in the natural beauty of Tulum’s coastline.||Maxanab strikes the perfect balance between laid-back beach vibes and upscale service. I left feeling refreshed and already planning my next visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, pampered beach day!

This place is the perfect weekend getaway! Great views of the beach with cabanas, a lovely pool, and amazing room sizes. The service was incredible - everyone took care of us, especially Mario and Milo. You should definitely book this stay!

Actually nice hotel, really clean and also well furnished. The rooms are more than spacious. Both breakfast and dinner were very very good. Unfortunately, it was very noisy in our room because the power generator was too close. When asked by the hotel staff how the night was, we had also expressed this. We were then offered that we could move to another larger room for 1000 MXN more per night. Is of course a special offer of the hotel to us. Normally it would cost 2000 MXN. Since we only had 1-2 other couples in the hotel, this has a bland aftertaste. In any other hotel you would get a better located room as goody if there is not complete occupancy. Fair enough we survived despite the noise. Otherwise, as already described in other reviews, this is about generating unpleasantly penetrating sales and tips. Too bad actually, would be a nice hotel.

My husband and I enjoyed a room with a private pool in May 2024. During our stay we also booked a full body massage. The food was good not great, the massage was fantastic and the room was nice & big. We booked a private luxury car service through the hotel to come & go directly to the Tulum airport and were told we’d have courtesy stops on our way to the hotel but that didn’t happen. We were also told the car would have snacks, drinks and WiFi and it did not for either trip from or to the airport. I am leaving 4 stars because I don’t feel as though the car service they booked for us was a good value and the food was overpriced.
