13 Diners in Las Vegas for Heaping Plates of Bacon and Eggs | Eater Vegas

"This colorful and candy-coated diner on the Las Vegas Strip celebrates classic diner culture with greasy spoon food that is jazzed up with sprinkles and cotton candy. Go for Fruity Pebbles French toast and cotton candy pancakes or more traditional with cheeseburgers and biscuits and gravy." - Janna Karel

Maxie’s Diner replaces Canter’s at The Linq Promenade - Eater Vegas

"Maxie’s Diner opens on March 15 at The Linq Promenade, serving breakfast to late night beneath the High Roller. It offers items like cotton candy pancakes, Fruity Pebbles French toast, peanut butter and jelly tacos, and more. The space is renovated with a diner aesthetic and will offer a grab-and-go menu as well." - Susan Stapleton

Maxie’s was such a great place to eat. The location was easy to get to, the wait wasn’t too long, and the food was amazing. The only complaint was the one of our lattes was not made correctly. Other than that, everything was delicious and our server was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Google
My breakfast burrito was very good I had with turkey sausage & turkey bacon…my also enjoyed her egg white omelet. My pineapple mimosa was very very good.

Came here for breakfast. We stayed at the Horseshoe and this restaurant was a short walk away. My sister and I are from North Carolina and we had been trying to find sweet tea for days. Maxie's came through for us. The waitress told us they made their sweet tea fresh everyday. It was great. My sister got The Maxie's Classic and I got the Denver Benedict. Everything was delicious. I would definitely come back here next time I'm in Vegas.

Google
I go here for the blueberry chicken sandwich. It's unique and memorable. The flavors are not something you think would pair well, but I really enjoy this sandwich. I paired it with garlic fries.

Google
Club was really good. "World famous benedict box" did not live up to the name. It was good, but not a lot of egg and mostly just bread. But everything else was great!

We came and had lunch. I had chicken & a waffle but chicken was kind of fried hard tasted like it was old & redipped in the fryer. My husband order bone in wings received boneless then had to wait about 20 minutes for his food. The drinks were really good ($3 margaritas, cheapest we've seen) so we came back later with another couple from our group.. while we were here this time, the bartender Jennifer asked 2 white guys if they wanted salt on the cup, and I said I wasn't asked if I wanted salt. So we were like "oh you're privileged b/c she didn't ask us".. he asked the bartender why she didn't give us salt & she said it doesn't come with it.. He said, "But you asked me & didn't ask them?" Doesn't make sense. We were glad that he asked her in front of us, but at the same time, it shows people true colors. It's like our money is good enough for you to take but it doesn't come with the best service! Smdh #Its2025 #PlanDaylight Gave them a 4 star because the morning bartenders were great!

Google
Came here on a Wednesday morning at 9:40am and didn't have to wait for a spot for 1. I was hoping to catch the early bird special that ended at 10am per the menu online, but was disappointed there was none. I ordered the Maxie's Classic breakfast which came with a decent amount of food. I thought I requested 1 bacon and 1 sausage, but the server ended up adding one of each for $3 each. Total came up to $24.95 before tax/tip. I think I would have tried something else for that budget. Guess it's breakfast on the strip afterall. Overall, nothing special with the food and I don't think I'd recommend or come back.

Google
Hey found another Gem in Las Vegas! Maxie's Our Tyrique Bartender was outstanding. The food was great huge portions. My husband and I our retired Chefs. So we tend to set the bar higher. Well it seems every where you go prices are crazy. But here they are reasonable. Keep up the great work!

Yelp
We went looking for a decent Cafe with reasonable prices within walking distance of several Casinos, for brunch. This is it. Located at south end of pedestrian mall/canal between Venetian and Palazo resorts, steps north of the convention center, and the overhead railway. Menu items are plentiful, well prepared and tasty. Restaurant is spacious and atmosphere is pleasantly quiet. Servers are pleasant and attentive.

Yelp
Hard for me to write a review for our breakfast at Maxie's. The service struggled the entire time we were there and we were there for a long time. Coffee was just okay, but not great. Our server was never around after we placed our order and we would've liked our coffee and waters filled at least once during the hour we were there. Our food came and my eggs Benedict wasn't cooked to how I ordered it and we wanted hot sauce any ketchup, but again our server was no where to be found. The runner dropped the meals and turned so quick, we couldn't even ask for anything. Server never checked on us. Had to flag down a different waitress to ask for drink refills and the bill. Food was okay. Heavy. High priced. I likely wouldn't go back.

Yelp
I would of given 5 stars but our favorite manager Gino wasn't working. Seriously anyone who reads this he is a delight. He's inviting, asks us questions when walking us to our table and always come by to check out our food. We HAVE NEVER had a Manager like Gino in all our decades of trips here. What a gentlemen he is, he made us feel warm and invited and all his suggestions spot on! Hats off to the kitchen crew as well! We are in Vegas for 2 weeks. Ate breakfast and dinner here 4 times now. Why the 4 stars? We were sat with this guy who had a ton of attitude, he was extremely rude and we wanted Gino there to tell him. The other manager we noticed just sat in the corner of this table. Watching this teenagers run around with there phones. I never seen that. Any how back to Atlanta. Go to Maxie's and visit the best manager is all of Vegas Gino and we are serious! Just don't ask for Zack! Weird how that guy is to his customers. And he disappeared multiple times. Other wise our next year trip will do the same visit Gino and eat amazing food. It may look casual but the food is out of this world!!!!

Yelp
We met friends here for one of the most wonderful breakfasts ever. I ordered a Bagel with Cream Cheese, but I also got to sample Chicken and Waffles and some of Maxie's Classic. The Bagel and the Chicken and Waffles explain themselves, but the Classic deserves a description: 2 eggs with pancakes and your choice of bacon or sausage. Substitutions like waffles, an extra egg, ham steak, or potatoes are available. Kelvin S., our server, was friendly and funny, and he added to the fun we were having sitting on the patio. There may be a line, but the wait is worth it!

Yelp
Maxie's has a bit of a "classic" diner feel and is located near the High Roller. The service was good, though I think I beat the crowd so the staff wasn't running around like you see in many diners. Food was hit or miss. The Breakfast Potatoes were amazing. They reminded me of Arby's curly fries but more consistently cooked and in an easier to eat format. The Eggs Benedict on the other hand wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The eggs were leaking yolk when it made it to the table and there was WAY too much spinach under the eggs. The bread was tasty but the ratio to the toppings was off. I know it's part of their thing, but I think this would be better if they used about 2/3 of the bread.
google avatar

Tommy K.

Yelp
First of all, Maxie's is a great place to eat breakfast on the strip, don't get me wrong. I just wouldn't recommend the chicken and waffles. The chicken has no seasoning or flavor at all and the waffle was not what you expect from a belgian waffle. Everything else I saw looked really good and the service was quick and they kept my coffee filled up. As long as you don't order the wrong thing like me, you should be fine. It's a cool place to eat and relax from walking around.
google avatar

Yelp
Reasonably priced brunch right on the strip!! The eggs Benedict here are to die for!!! They're incredibly filling and taste amazing!!! Only downside here is having to park in one of the hotel parking lots but if you go on a week day you can usually end your lunch in 1 hour! Parking is usually free for the first hour.

Yelp
An average diner with a bit of an old time feel. We dined just as it opened for the day- no line, no wait. Our server was friendly and engaging. The menu was run of the mill. The food was good- not craveable. There were some fun French toast coverings on the menu but I stayed with a breakfast sandwich.

Yelp
This outing proved to be quite underwhelming. Opting to explore a new dining spot, I decided to give this restaurant a shot out of curiosity. The chicken, while crispy and thinly sliced, was disappointingly dry, comprising only two small pieces. The waffle failed to leave a lasting impression, lacking any distinguishing characteristics. The breakfast potatoes, while adequately crispy, were passable, as was the overpriced half avocado, priced at a steep $6 or $8, if memory serves correctly. Service was pretty slow and there was blasting country music.

Yelp
Ok. So this is a much better visit. I went right in. Make reservations through open table. It's much easier . The food was good I had the Mexican omelette and the coffee with half and half. It was there fast . Really fast . My sever was very nice and very helpful with the menu. I will be back.

Yelp
Service was great even on a busy morning. We ordered : Turkey club was great for sharing since I had a small appetite this morning . Wanted something fresh and not too filling so this was perfect . Eggs Benedict* box was ginormous lol . It was good but so much bread Country fried steak was decent

Yelp
Maxie's was the perfect place to grab breakfast, after an incredible massage at The Linq Spa, the morning of my daughter's wedding. I ordered the Eggs Benedict Box, and she ordered The California Benedict Box. They were not only a fun twist on the traditional Benedict, but also delicious. We each enjoyed a mimosa while people watching and relishing her last meal as a single woman! Cheers!

Yelp
Extremely overpriced breakfast spot that also serves lunch/dinner and cocktails. I had The Maxies's Classic with 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon and 2 slices of French toast that approached $20 with the $3 up charge to substitute pancakes and adding cheese to the eggs. I really wanted some breakfast potatoes but a side was $8 and after seeing an order that a friend got, I didn't regret my decision to not get them because the portions didn't come close to justifying the price. It was just down right skimpy! The service was ok and and our server kept walking away when we're ready to order or had questions despite the dining room being pretty empty. Everyone else at the table was satisfied with their orders and the cocktail my bestie had was quite delicious! They also let you keep the glass as a souvenir. Given the price point and average taste, you're better off heading to Hash House A Go Go where the portions are almost too much and the food tastes a lot better.

Richard S.

Yelp
Eggs Benedict was cold when served. Dish itself was 80% bread. Overpriced (but what isn't on LV Strip). Restaurant looks "junky " -- first thing you see entering is a drink statio. Dining room is a long, dark hall -- very unappealing visually. At our end of dining room was an open closet with a stack of empty boxes, yellow wet floor A- frame and large chrome ashtray looking thing. Many TV screens does not constitute decor. Very disappointing. Second bad to si-so experience in two years so won't be eating here again.

Yelp
Located just outside the Linq Casino, near the Ferris wheel. They feature a 24/7 breakfast menu, which is an excellent place to resolve your hangover or late night snack. I highly recommend the Denver Eggs Benedict: slices of ham, grilled vegetables, poached eggs over a quarter loaf of toasted bread. They top this masterpiece with savory hollandaise sauce! Incredible taste and flavor!

Yelp
Visited here for happy hour 3 times this month and I'm addicted! LOVE that they have happy hour till 8pm Thurs-Sunday; what an incredible find on the Strip! The happy hour food portions were surprisingly large (especially the chicken tenders) and delicious, as were the drinks (esp loved the mojitos). I agree with a prior Yelper that the cherry on top was our server: Katrina. All 3 times she greeted us with a warm welcome and was friendly and attentive throughout. She even remembered us when we went back on our return trips! Truly a standout gem. The restaurant was pretty quiet when we arrived around 6:30pm on a Sunday but started getting more busy by the time we left at 7:30. I really hope more people realize the awesome potential of this place now that it has expanded from just a breakfast/brunch into an evening establishment! Two thumbs up, will be back for sure, at least to see our new favorite server - Katrina!

Yelp
We got breakfast here on a Sunday morning. It wasn't crowded but the menu looked decent. I was happy to see they have blueberry hibiscus tea. It was a nice change. Our waitress was pleasant, although busy, she was prepared and helpful. I got a breakfast sandwich, scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese on a bagel. It came with home fries. The fries tasted like French fries, very crispy and tasty. The sandwich was very full, but the plain bagel was a bit bland. In any case, I could barely finish the sandwich. My husband got a short stack of blueberry pancakes. They were delicious and fulled with blueberries. I shortly regretted not getting pancakes. The only problem here was that the menu price is not the price they charge (my guess is they haven't updated the prices on their menus) and there is no restroom. But, for the price they did charge and the wualof the food, I would recommend!

Yelp
We always stop by for breakfast, as so many items to choose from served large portions by friendly staff. Today Tiki Hubby had to try the Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast 2 steaks, 2 scrambled eggs and home fries. Plenty for 2. Food okay but not as yummy as last time when we got the Benedict Boxes they are famous for. Eggs dry, CFS prepackaged and then deep fried. The peppers in the potatoes were my favorite, sweet flavorful green, red and yellow.

Yelp
My family and I came here for breakfast on the last day of our trip since it was near our hotel. Service: The servers were kind and patient. We were seated upon arrival. Food: We ordered the Turkey Club sandwich that came with fries, Guacamole & Chorizo Eggs Benedict Box, Maxie's Classic and a cup of Vanilla Cappuccino. I thought the food was quite delicious. I recommend coming here for breakfast/brunch. I think it's worth it for the price. I would definitely come back next time.

Yelp
It was our first day in Vegas and we went to the Promenade first. It was mid morning and we were getting near hangry. Maxies was right there and looked empty so we figured why not. We sat down outside, it took our server a little bit to come over but that was okay because we were ready when she got there. I never order cappuccino but someone else ordered one and I heard them say they had flavors, so I ordered a pumpkin spice cappuccino. I got the chorizo avocado eggs Benedict - eggs hard poached; I got my 7 year old cotton candy pancakes, and my oldest son got the country fried steak. I saw the pictures of the Benedict in the menu but I didn't really understand what it was. It was better than I expected it could be! So much food and every bite was delicious. The cotton candy pancakes were a sight to behold, pancakes with a huge cotton candy on top. My son was covered in blue before he ever got to the pancakes. My other son finished his whole plate. This was a welcome surprise, especially because of the 3.5 stars it has on yelp.
google avatar

Christine P.

Yelp
Garden Burger - lacking sauce, very dry, but the fries and toppings were pretty good. Veggie Flatbread- they need to toast the bread, it was way too soft and felt like it was uncooked. Definitely ask for the bread to be toasted or grilled next time. Mac n cheese - kids didn't like it at all. Weird flavor to it. Disappointed in how they only allow you to order the malt shake for $18 with a souvenir glass, and if you don't want the souvenir, then it's the same price. Overall the service was great, quick and food was pretty good. Other restaurants had a long wait, but this place didn't, and we were short on time, so I'm glad we had a chance to try it out.

Yelp
I see this place highly recommended as one of the Vegas staples for tourists for their picture worthy presentations of the classics. I'm gluten free and they do have offerings. But the pics from the media and menu don't match the reality, or didn't for me. I already really dislike spending money on breakfast when a dozen eggs and slab of bacon to feed a crowd can be bought for about $15. Also I'm used to gluten free costing more. That also being said I'll pay $50 for a lobster Benedict that tastes good and I can actually eat with my allergies. I was happy to see the gf pancake option for me with fruity pebbles. It cost $3 more for gluten free and $3 more for fruity pebbles. It's about $10 a pancake. The menu pic vs my plate are pretty drastic. Underwhelming. Didn't eat more than 2 bites of the pancakes and eggs and sausage are eggs and sausage. Maybe it was an off day. I'm not sure but it's a standard breakfast at inflated on the Strip pricing. My bf got the burger with no bun because gluten free buns are pretty blah and prob a good thing he did. Another $3 gluten free upgrade would have been insulting at that point for the quality of what we ordered. It's not bad. But IHOP would have been cheaper and equal or better quality than we experienced. I wanted to love this and do more. Also, forget any of the Benedicts if you have gluten allergies. As phenomenal as those looked I think they could go along way offering a celiac friendly bread choice on those

Yelp
This place is an overpriced attempt at a "Denny's" menu. No knock on the service as our server was great. She was super friendly, extremely attentive and was willing to offer suggestions of things to try and things to stay away from on the menu. The vibe is exactly what you expect for a stop and dine-in place on The Strip.
google avatar

Kathy K.

Yelp
We had a tasty, but pricey breakfast by the Linq wheel. Perfect spot for those with a breakfast sweet tooth as they had some sugary concoctions. We went traditional and food & service were great.
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Casual breakfast spot that has a great variety of breakfast items. The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary compared to other places in the area. Staff were friendly and the service was super quick!
google avatar

Laura F.

Yelp
I was actually looking for a different restaurant when I came upon Maxie's. It's located across the wall way from Yardbirds, just a few steps away from the High Roller. It's a small restaurant, has 6 big screen TVs, indoor and outside seating. Arrive early they get busy very quickly. I arrived at 9AM and had a 20 min wait. They place you in a queue then text you when your table is ready. I had the eggs & protein, my steak was cooked exactly the way I asked, eggs scrambled (not runny). You have a choice of your protein. Serving sizes were perfect. Taste was good. I liked that the waitress verified my order by repeating it back to me before placing it. You can place a togo order as an option. I saw several people pick up their togo order and then eat outside. If your looking for a place to grab breakfast, give them a try.
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
The food was great I enjoyed the garlic fries and the burger was also great. We ate outside the heaters kept us warm and we got to enjoy watching people explore the area.
google avatar

Willy T.

Yelp
I sat outdoors during my visit and it wasn't super pleasant (especially compared to San Diego or Los Angeles). I had a seat right next to foot traffic and it smelled funky at times, not an issue with the establishment though. I ordered a California Boxed Benedict and a latte. The first thing I noticed is that the hollandaise sauce is more foamy/airy and less runny/thick than I am used to. Asides from the texture, it still tastes pretty good. I really liked the chopped onions added on top. It adds great textural contrast and a pop of flavor that doesn't overwhelm. The avocado was used very sparingly, I would've appreciated more avocado in this dish. The mushrooms and the spinach taste fantastic. The benedict had two poached eggs on top. Overall this was a filling brunch, but did not make me stuffed. It's not the best thing I've eaten in Vegas, but I enjoyed it and can't think of any other place that serves boxes benedicts.
google avatar

Korin V.

Yelp
We went to Maxie's for brunch based on location and pictures online looked good. Unfortunately was dissatisfied with the food. There was no wait and we were sitter at a nice table. Our waitress was very friendly and you could tell was very busy. For being busy she took our order in a reasonable time. Wait for the food was quite a while. Once received you could tell the food had been sitting under the warm for quite some time; all dried out and hard. The textures and flavors were all very bland and boring. The birthday cake French toast was absolutely disgusting. Waitress was wonderful and sweet but the food is not worth the cost. The bill was very expensive.
google avatar

Sasha J.

Yelp
Wife had gluten free pancakes with berries and a massive cotton candy surprise which she LOVED!!! I had the breakfast burrito which was OK but not great--it was a bit dry to my taste. I prefer a wetter style burrito. Not a fan of the 3% "convenience fee" which I do not feel is convenient in any way.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
We stopped in on our way to a convention. Breakfast was good, just simple, typical stuff. Good flavor. Pretty reasonable for Vegas, I guess. Minus one star for no bathrooms.
google avatar

Bianca F.

Yelp
Maxie's is located near the Flamingo hotel which is where we stayed at during our visit to Las Vegas. I loved the aesthetic with the 90s hip hop and R&B music videos that was playing on the tv screens ! I was boring and got the eggs , potatoes , sausage and toast breakfast but I seen that Maxie's has these massive French toast plates that I one day will need to try! Definitely did not want to fill up on that before my 6 hour plane ride home , haha !
google avatar

Stephany C.

Yelp
If you don't mind the wait this is a good breakfast place. Our order included the gravy and biscuits in my friends opinion they had good flavor and consistency. I ordered the French toast and they had a really good vanilla flavor with fresh fruit can't beat that. Overall a good breakfast nothing Wow about what we ordered. Service is good with the exception of having to ask for the straws 5x and getting the same " oh yeah let me get them" and seeing that the waitress had them in her apron ‍. The hostess was very nice and what helped waiting outside were the misters . The weather was waaayyy to hot .
google avatar

Richard S.

Yelp
Stopped here for brunch during our latest Las Vegas trip. I had the Vegas Breakfast which was three eggs any style (I had scrambled) with house potatoes, toast and sausage. The eggs were light and creamy. The potatoes were crisp on the outside, yet tender on the inside. The sausage and toast were ordinary. I also had a very good cafe mocha. Service was prompt and polite and they are wheelchair accessible.
google avatar

Steven M.

Yelp
HIGHLY RECOMMEND RHIS FOR BREAKFAST The server was very friendly. The food was very good . For in the middle of Vegas. The food to price ratio was very reasonable . They worked with our larger group quickly to seat us . Great family atmosphere .
google avatar

Danielle W.

Yelp
This is an American diner style restaurant. It's bright and cute inside. The service was really good and friendly. The food was so-so. The BLT bread was the kind that kinda cuts the roof of your mouth. We also got the chorizo Benedict, the meat tasted like breakfast sausage, didn't seem like chorizo. Mimosas were a good pour, but a little heavy on the flavors so it was a bit sweet for me. Looks like a lot of sweet fun items for kids on the menu. For me it just didn't really hit the mark.
google avatar

Crystal P.

Yelp
Was intrigued by the description online! Love a Benedict, and these were good. Not the best I've had, but good.
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Had the Denver omelet and the chicken fries steak. Pretty solid food. Good portion nice customer service too. Regular prices for the strip.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Very cute diner feel in Maxie's. Indoor and patio seating available. Delicious pancakes and perfectly-cooked over medium eggs with bacon. Our server was so friendly and very attentive. The food was ready quickly even though they were fairly busy. It was a bit stuffy and uncomfortably warm inside, but it was hot outside and the doors were open. Don't go to Vegas if you can't take a little heat.
google avatar

Mika D.

Yelp
Popped in here before the Super Bowl festivities began. The customer service was good, and the food came out fast. I had a basic chicken and waffle with a deliciously made latte that our sweet waitress Carolina suggested.
google avatar

Marques W.

Yelp
I'm shocked there's a demand for disgusting sugary food like this, no one enjoyed their food in our party. On top of that the restraunt is in a hall with tall ceilings, it's extremely loud and the worst vibe for a restraunt imaginable!
google avatar

Jayni A.

Yelp
Wonderful service. Enjoyed this eggs Benedict in a sourdough loaf. I also enjoyed how much spinach came inside of it.
google avatar

Lisa F.

Yelp
A girls trip for 9, and I was the only one that did not go on the Linq High Roller ferris wheel. I asked the hostess if I could get a drink and sit at the bar. She explained there is not a bar, but they'd fix whatever I wanted and I could sit outside, so I did. Great people watching, and perfect cocktail.

Frog J.

Yelp
An absolute gem!!! 10000% recommend! Christine took great care of us! The food is phenomenal, and the staff treat you very welll! The atmosphere is so welcoming and warming! It a lovely place! I would definitely come back here again! I ordered the chicken wings with habanero sauce and a Bloody Mary! 10/10 would eat and drink again!!!

Hana S.

Yelp
Great place! Went here for the first time, drinks and food were delicious and came out promptly. Our server, Katrina, was super friendly and amazing. Totally recommend this place, indoor and outdoor tables.
google avatar

Luis R P.

Yelp
Great location. Great service. Their brunch menu was great too with many options and large portions. The food was great. This is a very good diner or brunch place. They do have mimosas and other drinks too. Cons: no bathroom at the property
google avatar

Ki R.

Yelp
We have eaten' here only a couple of times. This last time, we ordered biscuits and gravy, and their classic benedict boxed. The benedict was more like a floretine because of the spinach. For the price point, the food portion is right, but as for the presentation, the plates need a bit more finesse and color. I know that this is just breakfast, but at the very least, put a piece of parsley and an orange wedge on the plate. Also, the benedict lacked flavor. The hollandaise sauce was a bit bland. As I mentioned, the prices are very reasonable. The service was ok and adequate, nothing over the top. It was busy for a Friday morning, but surprisingly, it was not too loud or chaotic, and we were seated pretty fast. The breakfast burritos and pancakes are good.
google avatar

Steve M.

Yelp
Stopped into Maxie's for breakfast one morning and were luck enough to sit outside in the patio. They have plenty of breakfast options including the fruity pebble waffles which look amazing but there is no way I would try them. The breakfast burritos were huge and no one could finish them. The ham steak and eggs was also very good. Service was ok although we asked for water and never received but oh well it wasn't that big of deal. Definitely would eat there again when on the Linq promenade.

Tellis H.

Yelp
Found a great location off the strip to grab some good dinner food / breakfast. Maxie's hit the spot; they serve good American cuisine. I had breakfast, the standard and the kids had burgers and fries along with a milk shake. On the pricey side, but we are on vacations. I would come back; the food was great and yes; they do have a patio for eating and people watching.

Yelp
Sat outside great people viewing Ordered guacamole chiorzio egg Benedict it was delicious. Husband got vegas special and loved it. Zackery our Waiter was great!Good experience!
