Downtown’s New Summer-Ready Rooftop Bar Keeps the Tequila Flowing as Late as 2 A.M. | Eater DC

I would say if you could go anywhere else, go there instead of here (or any Atlas restaurants). There are tons of restaurants that are actually offering Mexican food that you don’t have to go to as a status symbol or something. I didn’t go here by choice of course, but I was willing to see why people are so excited about it. Very limited menu, even more limited for vegans/vegetarians. I probably wouldn’t recommend it if you have dietary restrictions, as the only options were like asparagus tacos for a main. If you go here you are getting scammed in broad daylight, let me just say that. $9+ for a single taco? Insane. It’s not even just about the prices too, I got the sweet plantains and the “street corn.” The street corn was nothing like actual street corn, it tasted like canned corn with some bland feta on top of it and two slices of chili. Not good at all, and $14 for a little plate of it. The service was also lacking for a high end restaurant, we had to keep asking for water refills, drinks and food took a long time, and food came out separately so people were waiting for their food while others were able to eat. Overall, just not worth it, you would be better off going to a REAL Mexican restaurant. You’re in Baltimore, there’s plenty of good options. But sure, go here if you want to drop a bag for bland food.

What a wonderful Valentine's Day surprise! We walked in without a reservation, and were fortunate enough to get a table in the lounge area. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, coffee was just ok. Atmosphere was very cozy and charming and the live music was a very nice addition to it! Highly recommend this place for any occasion!

As a lover of Mexican cuisine, I selected this restaurant for my birthday for an elevated Mexican experience. The location is fantastic being right off the water. We requested outside seating and the weather cooperated perfectly. We were able to watch the sunset from where we sat. Our server was personable, funny and attentive! He even sung a birthday song for us, it was hilarious, sorry I can’t remember his name. I’ll be going back for the chicken chiccharonnes by itself!! They were cooked to perfection and soooo good!! No complaints around the table. He made sure we liked our drinks and had them done over until we were all satisfied. I loved entire my experience here and will be going back!

Google
I visited the restaurant on a Thursday evening, so it wasn't busy at all. Despite that, the service was excellent—we were seated shortly after we arrived. The waitress was lovely and kind, showing great patience when I asked for recommendations. Our food arrived quickly! While the rockfish with sweet potatoes was insanely delicious, I did not enjoy the mocktail I ordered and ended up sending it back. Everything else was wonderful, including the decor.

Google
We celebrated a special occasion here last Sunday and really enjoyed the overall experience. Service wasn't as polished as the food and decor but it was good enough and didn't take away from an incredible array of dishes we had. Everything from the guacamole, green chorizo and queso fundido, palomilla fritters, street corn to the churros were excellent. Sets a new bar for Mexican food on the east coast. Cocktails were excellent, well balanced and well presented. Lovely seating inside the dining room as well as the patio, beautiful views in every direction.

A stunning culinary gem in the heart of the city! Maximón is a feast for the senses—from its thoughtfully curated ambience to the stunning, eclectic decor, this Mexican-inspired restaurant is truly a beauty to behold. Whether you're out for a casual dinner or celebrating a special occasion, Maximón offers a versatile and inviting space that sets the perfect tone. I visited on a weekday afternoon, which turned out to be the perfect time to truly soak in the atmosphere. The restaurant was pleasantly quiet, allowing me to fully appreciate the decor and enjoy a relaxed, unhurried meal. To start, I ordered the Guacamole and Chips. This wasn’t your average guacamole—Maximón adds a creative twist with unexpected ingredients like feta cheese, giving it a tangy richness that played beautifully against the freshness of the avocado and the crunch of the chips. A delightful start that definitely stood out. For the main course, I couldn’t resist trying both the Carne Asada and Grilled Shrimp tacos. Each taco was packed with flavor, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into balancing every element. The Carne Asada was tender and smoky, while the shrimp had just the right touch of char and spice. Every bite was a harmonious mix of textures and bold, vibrant flavors. I highly recommend Maximón to anyone looking for a unique dining experience that goes beyond the typical. I’m already planning a return visit—this time for their weekend brunch, which I’ve heard is just as exceptional.

Awesome waterfront bar at The Four Seasons with great views. Appetizers and drinks were great. Excellent pomegranate orange margaritas. Only ding - no pinot grigio but they have chardonnay.

Google
Beautiful ambiance on the water. Food was generally good. Guacamole had plenty of lime and the chips were the perfect thickness and crispy. Tacos were good, but don’t compare to west coast tacos. Churros were okay. Drinks were excellent. Service was fair, did need to flag down servers for water a couple times.

Yelp
This is my review after visiting Maximin three times. My hubby is a lover of Mexican cuisine, so I get to try all the Mexican restaurants. This is a bit upscale taco place. The location is fantastic being right off the water. We sat outside on a perfect weather day and inside when it was too hot. We were also able to watch the sunset which was a plus. Their oysters are FRESH!!! They were so good. Salsa was amazing ! We really enjoyed all their dish! Servers were great and bartender was so kind. Absolutely a must place if you are around that area.

Yelp
Came for lunch while visiting Baltimore for the day. The guac was delicious. The quesadillas were good, but a little bland. I loved the corn tortilla, but the inside cheese and protein (I had shrimp and my wife had beef) was just a bit bland. The sauce on top helped, but it needed a little more. The place is beautiful, as you would expect from a Four Seasons hotel, and the view is fantastic. The service was excellent. I also loved that the menu is well-labeled for food allergies (which, as someone gluten-free, I really appreciate).

Yelp
I came here with some friends to celebrate our September birthdays. It was not my choice to come but I was out voted. I choose not to eat at Atlas Restaurants because they are usually overpriced and underwhelming and this experience was no difference. I will admit, we had great service, the ambience was very nice and upscale (especially with the live music), and the drinks were great. The food was a letdown. The chicken tings tetela was ok but I don't think it was worth $12. Also, the roasted chicken was meh. Not horrible but I wouldn't care to eat it again. I didn't care for the risotto it came with either. And honestly, the way it was plated didn't sell it to me. The only thing I did love other than the drinks were the trio of desserts they gave us on the house for our birthdays. The churro was my favorite. So as I mentioned before, overpriced and underwhelming. You pay more for the ambience and the Atlas name because the food didn't do it for me.

Yelp
The food and service were top tier, but what really caught my eye is that the establishment is dog friendly!!!! I didn't know this until after visiting so you know I'll be back.

Yelp
Stopped by Maximón for drinks and an appetizer, and wow--instantly felt like I'd been transported into Latin America, whether Mexico, Spain, or somewhere in between. The outdoor waterfront seating truly feels like a resort getaway, totally out-of-country vibes right in Baltimore. We only had drinks and chips & salsa, but both were outstanding. The cocktails were super refreshing, and the chips were perfectly crisp with fresh, flavorful salsa. I didn't expect so much from a light snack, but Maximón delivered. Can't wait to go back for a full meal!

Yelp
Randomly walked by on a Saturday evening. There was a group learning bachata i Believe on the pier, infront of the outdoor Maximon bar/ seating area. Seating is first come outside, we found space at the bar Had a few drinks. Didn't get any food. Chill time catching up with a friend and those around us Good times along the water. three bathroom stalls for women, and at the end there was no toilet paper or hand towels. I told someone about the issue, hopefully they mediated everything soon after I would def. come back, esp. on a late summer night

Yelp
bruh sometimes i wonder to myself how in the world do people even come up with such genius ideas when it comes to food. i've ordered lobster a couple of times at different restaurants but this lobster right here is the most exquisite lobster i have ever had in my life. loved it.
google avatar

Khoi N.

Yelp
This restaurant gives you Cabo vibes with the outdoor seating. You have great views of the harbor and plenty of shade from the sun. My friend and I shared the Maryland crab fritters, roasted chicken, plantain fried rice, carne asada and shrimp tacos. The chicken was cooked perfectly as it was not dry and the black mean mushroom risotto was absolutely delicious. I loved the tacos as they were packed with plenty protein. The tacos were fairly large. The service here was 5 stars. Mason was kind, patient and made us feel very welcomed. He told us about Atlas restaurants groups rich history. Now this is not your typical taqueria or Tex Mex place. It's more elevated so you are paying for a premium experience.

Yelp
My husband and I had an impromptu date night and decided to give Maximon a chance. I have heard many great things over the years about the restaurant and was very happy to finally give them a try. My husband an I had an all-around great experience and will return soon! The restaurant is kinda hard to find. It is located at the bottom of some fancy hotel. Better signage would be great to make the location easier to find. The ambiance within the restaurant was amazing. When you step-in, you feel like you have been transported out of Baltimore. There is also outside seating, but it was rather a cold nice, so we didn't take advantage. There was a live band preforming during our visit. The music wasn't overwhelming, it was a nice addition to match the already amazing ambiance. The service was amazing. Our waiter was efficient and friendly and offered suggestions when asked. The food was AMAZING!! Very tastefully and extremely flavorful. It is a bit on the pricier side, but the flavors were well worth the price.

Yelp
A dear friend treated me to a meal here after she took me to the spa again. We ordered the oysters from the raw bar, yellowtail ceviche, and huevos rancheros. While I believe the quality of ingredients and cook on everything was good, you must embrace the tourist tax in order to fully enjoy it all. For the cost of our meal, you can tell it's partially going to drive up the perceived decorum of a waterfront spot. Staff were very knowledgable about the menu, polite, and a little rushed as they seemed to be trying to juggle turns of the dining room with an odd flow of customers. Still, everyone seemed to be in great spirits (cocktails in hand helps!) I would go back if invited, but would not suggest it if asked

Yelp
Maximón is an absolute gem! The food was incredible--every dish was full of bold, fresh flavors, and beautifully presented. The seafood was very very fresh and one of the highlights from Maximón's raw bar was the yellowtail ceviche, the flavors are insane! I also enjoyed the Grilled Shrimp, Wild Blue Catfish Frito & Carne Asada Tacos, The Chicken Chicharrones, Tuna Tostados and Smoked Chicken Wings! The ambiance was warm and inviting, with stunning decor that made the experience even more special. I suggest going during sunset so you can catch the restaurant glowing and also enjoy the ambiance during the night. Service was also amazing Victor, our waiter, was very attentive and helpful. Dejon, one of the restaurant managers, also ensured that we had an amazing visit! This place is a must-visit, I have been a handful of times and never have any complaints or issues. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Server Edwin was very nice. Enjoyed all the food but especially the fluffy pancakes! Love the vibes here

Yelp
Have to say this spot was a nice surprise. The portions are generous and food is very good. The only skip in my opinion are the wings, but the rest were delish. My fave was the queso fundido. We sat at the bar after dinner and the bartender made me what's essentially a Spanish espresso martini and it was maybe the best drink I've ever had. He was the best! Overall, would definitely go back.

Yelp
Typing this review as we're getting up and walking away from the table. We sat for 30 minutes and watched as surrounding tables were seated and served before us. I recommend Maximon to anyone with a day to waste.
google avatar

Yelp
Sat outside for a quick drink. It gave the vibe of Mexico. Cabana like seating area outsi, trees/grass blowing and even an outside bar. I'll come back and try food. But, our waitress was def good the 2 times we saw her but she disappeared for a long time and never came back... eventually after swirling our heads around several times, another waitress came over to say she was pulled in the office :-/... then she took care of us.
google avatar

Yelp
We came in for a quick breakfast/brunch on a Sunday. It kind of felt like we were there in between meals? The service was wonky and there wasn't a drink menu and the menu for food wasnt the brunch menu i had read online. We asked about drinks and our server just said, we have a bar, so we can make whatever. Which was a fair response lol, I just wanted to feel inspired. Food was excellent. Loved the pancakes and Norteño. No crumbs left behind. We sat outside by the water. This is a must if weather permits!
google avatar

Yelp
Loved the live music and attention to detail for our special night (a birthday). They accommodated our request for a celebratory dessert and the seafood was delicious and fresh, as were the cocktails!
google avatar

Margo V.

Yelp
Interesting flavors and unique blends. Everything tastes fresh but I was hoping for more of a pop. The Chilatole soup was unlike anything I've had so perhaps the flavor is meant to be very subtle but it just seemed bland and the corn, crab and other toppings were underwhelming. The smoked wings very well cooked and juicy but again underwhelming flavor. The lime served on dude gave much needed brightness but the sauce gave dimensionless HEAT without any flavor (and I like Hot and tolerate it better than most). The Cardinal Sin cocktail was great and many other drinks looked intriguing so maybe a good place to gather for drinks to start the night. The staff is very nice and music keeps a fun feeling atmosphere. There were several other items I was curious to try but I'm not sure I'll be back.
google avatar

Yelp
The food and drinks were phenomenal! We normally don't condone paying $10+ for street tacos but these were worth the price. The drinks were very complex as well and overall customer service was perfect! Also got lucky and was able to enjoy some nice latin jazz! Want to shout out out the bartender Selah (Sayla?) for really being attentive and helping provide a welcoming atmosphere :)

Yelp
Maximon is located inside the Four Seasons hotel. It's Mexican-inspired menu is really one to try. I had the Crunchy Mahi Mahi taco ($11) and it delivered on crunch and flavor. It was the perfect balance between acidity, with a slight kick. I came with a group of 4 for a birthday celebration. They did have a live band playing music. At first, they sat us in the back, where it was dimly lit. We could not even see the live band. The manager did accommodate us and moved us to a better table. The live band was a bit too loud and we could not really have a conversation without asking the other to repeat themselves several times. They also have a bar outside, which looked nice to go to during the summer time.

Yelp
Stopped in for drinks and a small bite with my hubby. This is a beautiful restaurant as expected being in the Four Seasons. The service was good and our small bites were tasty. Nice place to cool off and get a small bite when you are at the inner harbor. I had a fish taco and it was bursting with flavor. Sorry, no pics.

Yelp
Celebrated my fiancés birthday! I would return 10x more to explore the menu snd enjoy the beverage selections. Inside is its own perfect oasis, beautifully decorated. We staggered our order, oysters and fritters to start. Both lite and refreshing, aioli with fritters perfectly spiced. The Mahi taco was my favorite of them all, absolutely crunchy! The local rockfish was on the smaller/thinner side. My fiancé ordered the roasted chicken (not pictured), awfully dry. Black risotto was a gem. Service was a bit slow even with the staggered order.

Yelp
Came here with a large group for a friend's birthday brunch and we had a lovely time. Space - The ambiance is gorgeous! It's on the first floor of the Four Seasons and matches that luxury vibe. There's a beautiful blend of stone, wood, greenery and fabrics reflecting Mexican and South American cultures and styles. It's upscale casual. Food - Everything we ate was delicious and something I would order again. The tuna tostadas were fresh with great flavor and the crab omelet had a generous amount of crab meat in it. The guacamole was a standout in our group - folks were surprised how well the strawberry complimented the saltiness of the dip. It's a great combo! Service - The service was good overall but spotty and confusing at times. We started at the bar with the bartender and then moved to a table when it was ready. Once at the table, the bartender kept coming over to have us order drinks directly with him, even though we had a waiter who understandably wanted us to order through him. At one point the bartender "forgot" to make one of the drinks because we had ordered it through our waiter. It was also a busy Sunday so there were times we were waiting for a while to order more drinks or food. That being said, we did get a few nice birthday surprises from our waiter and all of the drinks were made very well.

Yelp
Casual upscale dining with Mexican and South American cuisine. Located in the Four Seasons hotel with patio seating and direct views and access to the walkway on the harbor of Baltimore. Went here for lunch when visiting a friend who lived nearby and she highly recommended this place. We sat outside in their patio at a table under shaded umbrellas. Great casual chic ambience. Everything I tried was flavorful, fresh, and nicely balanced. Pricing is up there because after all, it is a Four Seasons hotel restaurant. I ordered a grilled shrimp taco $13 and the Maryland crab fritters appetizer $23. Shrimp was nicely grilled and the pineapple salsa and avocado crema sauce was just right - finished this in 3 bites. The crab fritters are a small, bon-bon size, so I was glad the filling was mostly crab and not filler. It came with a garnish bed of arugula greens tossed in lemon juice. My friend and I shared the Guacamole $16. It came topped with white strawberries, cotija cheese, and cilantro. I think I also tasted bits of cactus or starfruit in that mix. My friend told me that at other times she came here, the fruit in the guacamole changes (could be grapes, figs, or goose berries instead etc), depending on what's in season at the time. Very delicious and unique! Definitely get the guacamole here.

Yelp
Here for breakfast this morning with a party of 7 including two toddlers. Place wasn't crowded but still took well over 10 minutes to get seated. Service was slow and the food was at best average. I cannot see us returning.
google avatar

Yelp
Maximon on a sunny day is where you go when you want to pretend you are on vacation. It was kind of a shocking find for me on a weekend trip to Baltimore. They've curated the interior and landscaped the exterior so that you feel immersed in the tropics. It was a wonderful way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world and sip a cocktail in the sunlight. They weren't very busy at brunch which was surprising but it might be due to the prices. The food was pretty good but the portions were rather small. The yellowtail ceviche was my favorite but is not very filling. The norteno was not my favorite but my dining companion enjoyed it. Overall 10/10 vibes, definitely where you go to feel boujee. Recommend for dates or if you wanna feel like an influencer
google avatar

Sophie G.

Yelp
The ambiance is stunning--right on the waterfront with a perfect view of the sunset. Service was excellent: attentive, friendly, and helpful with navigating the drink specials. The cuisine blends Mexican and South American flavors with a modern twist, offering a creative take on traditional dishes. If you're looking to impress with a romantic, upscale dining experience, this spot delivers. While you might find more traditional fare in simpler settings, the elevated atmosphere and top-notch service made this experience well worth it.

Yelp
Maximon continues to serve great drinks and food. The indoor space is absolutely gorgeous and the outdoor space is the perfect summer spot. The service feels so elegant and the waiters/waitresses are so knowledgeable. Really reminds me of my trip to CDMX.
google avatar

Kristi P.

Yelp
Maximón is on the first floor of the Four Seasons hotel. Beautiful seating both inside & outside. We did not eat any food for this trip. Just some quick before dinner drinks on a Saturday night - glass of wine, a spicy margarita & champagne. The live singer was very good & definitely added to the vibe. I'd say our server was not the quickest so I docked one star. Also pricy but again it sits in the Four Seasons so that is to be expected.

Yelp
We were staying at the hotel and had breakfast included so stopped in on Sunday morning at around 9:45am for breakfast. They were understaffed and having issues but we were seated at a nice table with a water view after about 15 minutes of waiting. The hostess actually took our drink and food orders, bc they were so understaffed, but did a good job and all was right when it arrived at our table. We tried many things off the menu to use our breakfast credit: avocado toast, yogurt parfait, crab omelette, side of pork sausage, side of fruit, daily muffin (blueberry) and coffee and tea. The star of the show was by far the yogurt parfait. The yogurt was SO good. Smooth and creamy with a wonderful taste - it really tasted homemade. The granola and fruit atop was perfect and I added fresh honey. The avocado toast was also delicious - great portion and size with fresh and yummy toppings. The pickled cherry tomatoes were a nice touch! Hubs did not love his crab omelette - he said it was bland and the crab didn't taste that great and it was missing cheese. The pork sausage was very good and warm and savory. Coffee and tea were mediocre. Tea was served where they bring the box to you and you steep yourself, not what I expect at a fancy hotel/restaurant. The blueberry muffin did not taste housemade and was bland. All in all - my two items were the stars and were yummy and fresh and healthy. Gorgeous water views and nice ambiance inside and decor. For dinner they have live music and a stage.

Yelp
Okay so updated rating since my last visit (about a year ago). Complete 180 y'all. I loved my dining experience at Maximón! I ordered the spicy marg and the stuffed pepper with a side of chicken. It was so yummy and came with tortillas. Bae ordered roasted chicken, gave me his plantains (mucho gracias) and some drink he liked. We also ordered chips & salsa then churros for dessert. I'll be honest I didn't care for the churros. Not enough sugar lol. It was a lot of food so we took some home. My lovely server, Noel, gave me a complimentary sangria. She was so nice. I will say I wish the tables were bigger. Yes, there's only two of us, but we had a lot going on on that tiny table lol. Would recommend & return.

Yelp
Service was awesome! Vibes were very tulum and gorgeous. I ordered the crab cakes for appetizer which was okay. For entree, I ordered the rack of lamb which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. I also got a side of Brussels sprouts which were charred to the right amount. Overall good restaurant!
google avatar

Yelp
Really nice place inside the Four Seasons on the harbor! Loved the decor and luxurious feel of this place. Did I mention very very expensive....almost Ruth Chris prices on food for small portions! You have been warned....other than the price it's a very nice spot to hang out at!

Yelp
Celebrated a friend's birthday at Maximon. The restaurant was gorgeous with lots of greenery and they were able to accommodate our large group. I forget our servers name but he was absolutely phenomenal and made our experience top tier. The food was so yummy. For an appetizer I had chips and salsa others had chips and guac and the beet salad. As my main I had the whole lobster which was superb and their double fried potatoes as a side. My boyfriend had the new york strip. Others had mahi mahi tacos, rockfish zarandeado, and more. For dessert the table had a few orders of churros with caramel and chocolate sauce. I had the maximon margarita and shared a bottle of rose with friends.
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is good and tastes very clean, but the cheesecake is the best I've ever had. I love the atmosphere of this place, too. No other bakery or restaurant cheesecake has come close to this one!
google avatar

Alice L.

Yelp
Ambiance: cute decor, really nice outdoor space Food: decent but nothing amazing; crispy mahi taco was great, asparagus taco just ok, the amount of sad salsa you get in a large shallow bowl for $13 is actually appalling, desserts were just ok Service: awful - from the host who didn't know how to validate parking, to the waiter who asked us what we'd like to drink even though he didn't bring us a drinks menu, to the long wait times to get our food, to the manager who swooped in at some point and tried to take a glass still half full of wine from the table. Overall: if you're going for a business meeting using your company card, this place is great. otherwise, i've been here 2x, and neither food nor service are worth the price tag. plus, don't forget valet parking still costs $22 even after validating for dining at the restaurant.

Yelp
My salad was fresh and perfectly portioned. The services were amazing--very friendly and attentive. We sat at the bar, which had a perfect atmosphere for happy hour. The bar was clean and didn't smell like dirty clothes, unlike some bars that do.

Sallay F.

Yelp
$10 per taco is insnaity and unnecessary. BUT they were super tasty and the ambiance was beautiful. I would give it 5 stars if their tacos weren't unnecessarily over priced.

Yelp
Every time i go to Maximon I am blown away by the ambiance, experience, and food. The service is always exceptional and the presentation + flavors of the food is always excellent. My go to's are the guac (which always feature a seasonable fruit), chicken w/ the black bean risotto and plantains, and the plantain fried rice.
google avatar

Yelp
This is no longer the Maximon of the past. Went for my 40th birthday celebration with my wife and the service was very disappointing. Arrived and the hostess made a big deal of saving the outdoor seat for us but when we got outside well over half the tables were still empty. Order a drink and apps to share. Asked to bring out the food spread out. Was informed after 10 minutes after ordering that the bar was backed up 25 minutes (never heard of a bar this backed up). Food came out all at once and there were more plates than the room we had on the table. When we asked if some of the dishes could be set back to be put under a warmer to free up room, we were told it couldn't. Shortly after getting the dishes, the staff started trying to take plates off the table prior to asking if we were ready for them to be taken away (happened 7 times during dinner). The drink came out right before we were done with our dinner. I took a taste and it wasn't what I ordered (Mule instead of a Gin Martini... Hard to mix up). The waitress, to her credit, identified the miss (after serving and walking away) and brought out the right drink (and comp'ed the drink). We had to ask for our water to be refilled. It would be ok if there was a single miss over a meal, but it's clear the quality of service was degraded (note: Maximon was not at capacity). We expect more from a high quality branded restaurant. We were regulars (both personal and business dinners) at Maximon and other ATLAS restaurants. Not anymore.

Yelp
Saturday afternoon lunch with my husband to Maximón was a lovely experience. From the time we walked in we were greeted with friendly, inviting vibes. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and good-spirited. The space is beautiful and easily enjoyable because of the well executed design. We began with drinks and an appetizer. My espresso martini was delicious, well made! My husband had a tequila flight which he really enjoyed. Throughout the course of our meal the server was able to recommend drinks based on which tequilas in the flight my husband most enjoyed. We liked sampling the different tequilas and their flavors. For our appetizer we had the crab fritters - a good bite full of flavor. Two tacos were enough for me. Each bit burst with wonderful flavors that were delicious and well developed. My husband enjoyed his turkey sandwich. Everything was delicious even something as simple as fries performed above our expectations Looking forward to returning here for the dinner menu and a night of live music!

I had a lovely experience here with family. The hand crafted cocktails offer great flavor combinations, and the food was spectacular. I particularly loved the lobster and their guacamole but my family raved over the steak and chicken wings. They have a variety of menu options and service is truly great and attentive. This restaurant is located in the Four Seasons; it is beautiful and elegant and you cannot go wrong whether you sit in the lounge or restaurant. I will certainly return the next time we are in town.

Yelp
Hidden away in the Four Seasons hotel is the amazing Maximón. Had the opportunity to try here for dinner and was blown away. Mason was an incredible server and his recommendations were spot on. I tried a sampling of appetizers, an entree and of course dessert. All around the dishes were amazing. Perfect seasonings, flavors and just the right amount of spice to let you know the chef is a genius. Beautiful restaurant, inner harbor views, quiet and a general relaxing pace for your dining experience.

Yelp
We had a reservation on a Friday evening and were sat on time. We sat at an outside table with half the table being concrete and half chairs. I mention the concrete because it was built in with a flower bed which meant bugs were crawling around a lot so I would recommend other seating. It is right on the water which was pretty. The food was pretty good but price to portion was low which you could probably expect from the Four Seasons. They did have live music inside a jazz band. I would consider this a great spot for happy hour but not dinner.

Yelp
Ok so first of all the customer service is top notch!! We went for my friend's birthday and the bartender made sure to make her drink perfectly! Came over to ask what she had a taste for and delivered options. Then they gave her a birthday card. Loved that!! The food was so good and came out quick. The waitress let us take 10 mins away just to take photos outside, the setting was amazing so we appreciated that. The meal of the night was the swordfish, the green mojo was so delicious.

Yelp
The service was amazing with Renee & Carlos. We had a great time conversing & enjoying our time here on the water. We were drawn to the place as it was lit up & seemed enjoyable from the start. They made the experience better than we imagined!! Go see them today!

Yelp
What a BLAST... This was my second year celebrating Día de Los Muertos at Maximón... And it was even more fun than the last. The restaurant is in a really ideal location in Baltimore City, they have an exquisite cocktail menu and food options which are all devine. When there is warmer weather, the restaurant also has a beautiful outside bar and seating area which overlooks the water. I'm not sure how often they host events, but will definitely be on the lookout for more opportunities to visit/celebrate at Maximón!! The entertainment was great - incredible fire dancers, two face painters, salsa dancers, tequila tasting stations and an amazing DJ!!

Yelp
Starting off with the staff, they are PHENOMENAL! They are all very personable and kindhearted. The food is delicious and the ambiance is wonderful and picturesque. This was my 2nd time coming in 2yrs. I brought a friend from out of town and she said, I quote, "I will be gate keeping this place" lol. She is a restaurant connoisseur, foodie, an amateur chef. Hopefully that helps you make a decision. A must go!

Yelp
A thoroughly disappointing experience. Got through the entire meal before the Irish coffee we ordered was brought out. Ordered a $26 3-egg omelet to find that it was just folded eggs. (Really small eggs at that.) Nothing inside. Some pancetta-type ham on top. The huevos rancheros was good and it was nice to have live music on a Sunday morning. The decor was lovely and felt like we were transported to Mexico. I'm sure the service and food aren't always this poor...we were just truly shocked at the experience, being as though it's inside the Four Seasons!
