The fields are flat and void of serious holes. There is 92% grass which is good but the dirt spots aren't that big of a deal for it to be noticeable when you're playing a sport. The size of the fields are just big enough. Looks like a great spot!

Playground more than 50% boarded up. Equipment missing. Metal exposed through the plastic coating. No good for toddlers at this point. Boring for older ones right now. Injury hazard for all. Go to Twila Reid instead. Only 1.5 miles away.

I wanted to update my visits to this park. I've visited several times since my previous review and I don't have anything negative to say about any of my times spent here. It's crowded on the weekends due to people playing sports but always plenty of parking and no problems with walking my dog. I am excited about the future dog park that will be opening soon. It looks like it ready for visitors and it's going to be the best dog park in the area. They have a real nice dog park once the gates are open and because of being Anahiems newest dog park they have done a real good job. It looks like it will be bigger then the others and nice see my photos I posted. Good park, I just went there for a walk with my dog and we both enjoyed the fresh air. Definitely will be going back.

It's a nice park but one of the bathrooms are closed the other one is open. It is not dirty there. There are a few baseball diamonds a dog park and playground and the library

This is a pretty park with a rock riverbed that has a few wooden bridges. There are two basball diamonds and a childrens playground. This park also attaches not only to an Elementary school, but also a library! How neat. Lots of trees, a few benches, and giant yard of grass. The riverbed was empty, so though the map says creek it is more of a bed waiting for water. I mean, LA... what water? Right? Anyway, it was nice. Fully recommend heading over to walk. Oh, so yeah there are two bathroom houses; one in the middle of the park was locked today, the other open near the baseball diamond. Yes, there is parking on both streets.

This is a nice big, clean park. There are baseball fields, a dog park, playgrounds, barbecue grills, picnic tables, and lots of trees.

I only visited the dog park, but it was very nice. 2 fenced in areas (little dogs in one, big dogs in the other). Right next to a public library! The people were nice, and dogs well behaved. Restroom was clean and stocked. Plenty of parking was available (mid day, Sunday). Running water for the puppies and parents, grass and sandy areas within the dog play area, shady and sunny areas. Plus benches for us to sit in while watching the dogs play.

Yelp
Good park to bring your dog, it also has a library to check out books and movies. Friendly park.

Yelp
Great park located next to the library. Large fields , lots of shade, two parking lots. Active soccer games, baseball , football. I do have to warn you this park does not feel safe in the evening many people suffering with addiction and compulsive behaviors rally here in the evening. Gates are locked and if you get trapped in there you will see what I mean.

Yelp
I really want to give this park a higher than average rating but I cannot. Don't get me wrong, we love the playground at this park. We pull into the school parking lot off Orange since that's where the playground is. My 4 yo enjoys the equipment, there's a decent amount of shade and benches for me to sit and watch. I come here to multitask by letting my kid play and walking our dog. The kid climbs, swings, slides and meets new kids while I walk on the sidewalk with the dog that circles the playground. My issue is really the restroom. They're disgusting (like most parks I guess) but this time my 4 yo really needed to pee and they were LOCKED. Why would you lock the bathrooms during the summer when there are families at the playground and kids sports teams out on the fields? To keep the homeless out I assume? If that's the concern then perhaps the city should invest in more frequent facility maintenance or park monitors. Most of them don't bother anyone or cause trouble. There is a library nearby with restrooms but we bring our large dog so we can't use the library restrooms when it's just me, the kid and the dog. Annoying. Other than the restroom incident, we really enjoy this park.

Yelp
Toward the beginning of the year me and the wife began to take a real fascination in finding new and exciting parks and places to walk and get some exercise around our area. Having driven past this park on many occasions I remembered this place and we decided to walk from our house about 2 blocks away and check it out as I remember seeing people walking here. After arriving the we saw that the park itself is very small, located next to a library and the only real place to walk is a small dirt path between Orange and Broadway (About 1 Mile both directions). The park although small does have a baseball diamond where practice could be held but not much else. There also seemed to be several homeless people sleeping on the grass between the park and the library which doesn't bode well to always feeling safe. We will probably stick with Laguna Lake or Yorba Regional for our exercise unless we can find something else in the area.

Yelp
I walk in the park for exercise it's ok but the men's bathroom was terrible no toilet paper and very dirty

Yelp
Not at all a good park. Attracts crowds of undesirable, less than pleasant people that camp out around the park, which makes it potentially dangerous for children and pets. Unfit for those that want open, free and clean parks. Visually unappealing and possibly dangerous. A little on the small side too. Unless you get there very early in the morning, with only the intention of running on the tiny track, or walking your dog, this isn't a good park. It should just be called a community center for the homeless.

Yelp
I live directly behind Maxwell Park, and over the past several years the drug addicts have taken it over. I haven't brought my granddaughter to the park for 5 years, and have recently quit walking my dog here as well. Used syringes, human feces, encampments of approx 75-100 drug addicts fill the park daily. Personal property is scattered about from one end of the park to the other. The only people using this park are the addicts! I wish the city of Anaheim would permanently close this park if they are intent on simply letting it turn into the encampment!

Yelp
I come here to play softball weekly. This is not my fav park . Its so shady! I The fields are ok, the bathrooms are a mess and parking lot is limited as well as dark. Not a girls best friend.

Yelp
Get ready, homeless are out, funds are in. City planning a whole lot of new ideas for this park. Dog park in the work of planning stages, I am excited.

Yelp
I go to this park several times a week to walk my dogs because I live right by it. It is an okay park. Restrooms are horrible so stay away from them. There are a lot of homeless people but they don't come up to you. It's very annoying to hear people complain about the less fortunate. Parks are basically the only place you can go when you're homeless.

Yelp
Everyone needs to leave the homeless alone. They can not help what has happen to them in their lives. They didn't want to be homeless duh does everyone really think that they chose to live like everyone treats them like they are unwanted. Don't be like the heartless cops that has been handing out tickets out. Because really hello how is anyone in their situation supposed to pay any tickets that's really stupid to give homeless a ticket they are already depressed and feel like the human race turned there back on them. A ticket is going to make it worse. Please don't be heartless to them this world has been showing a lot of that lately to them more more. They don't get the privileges of choosing a lot of things that people that live in houses get to do on a daily bases and that people take for granted.

Leslie W.

Yelp
Used to be nice but has been taken over by a "homeless" encampment. Trash and human waste are now the standard. Not to mention used needles and loose dogs. Don't even like driving by any more.

Yelp
Dirty and can't park your car near the library because the homeless have their doors to their cars open and their dogs tied to the parking lot tress . Too much Trash and in the park itself has people hanging out by tr he tress. Bathrooms are dirty and the 2 bathrooms in the park. Only 1 is open ..I'll never take any children to this park and it's too bad because it's near my home
