A Running List of D.C. Restaurants Closing Due to Coronavirus Precautions | Eater DC
"Following Mayor Muriel Bowser's order to close dine-in service (takeout and delivery remain allowed), popular Shaw wine bar Maxwell Park—which expanded with a second location in Navy Yard this month—said in an Instagram post that the shutdown "is a last resort for all bars and restaurants" and warned it represents an "indefinite and potentially very serious financial burden that many small businesses cannot sustain alone." - Tierney Plumb
Great park, lots of things to do for kids and adults as well. We enjoy playing the disc golf park, there is a small park and a bigger one, great way to spend time outside enjoying nature. We definitely like going there.

The dog park was ok. The disc golf course was great: we use to go every morning. We loved the snow and cold and chasing rabbits.

Clean and well kept. Merry go round is gone, it was replaced with grass. They've add a concrete bags set and a bocce ball course. The pavilion is nice and there is a walking path around the park too.

Great park, just that finding shade in hot summer days is hard!

Maxwell Park is a nice family park! This park has two big play sets, a merry-go-round, and two sets of swings. Their are multiple covered pavilions, water fountains, and restrooms. Their is also a basketball court and off street parking!

Grandaughter plays some of her softball games here. Nice fields. Plenty of bleacher seating. Clean restrooms. Sometimes concession stand is open.

Yelp
Decent community park for a road trip break for families with little kids. They have a picnic table area under pavilion with a bathroom building as well. Bathrooms were open when we visited - flush toilets and running water (Oct 2024 around noon) ... lots of open area it looks like for pets as well but nothing gated

Yelp
A lovely place for dogs to run (big area) and play. It has a designated area for small dogs and one for large dogs. There is a water fountain and benches to sit. Unfortunately, I cannot give it 5 stars because I have an American Staffordshire and most owners mistake him for being a pit bull. I dislike owners who have an opinion based on second hand knowledge.

Yelp
This is a nice, smaller park in Normal. We often come here to play tennis, however there is a playground for kids as well. The tennis courts tend to only be half full which makes for a nice option in town since other courts tend to fill up fast in the summer. The parking lot can get pretty packed though as it's located next to a school.

Yelp
This park was very clean and large for our little Prince to play. It was not crowded like Shepard Park was but that could have been because of the late night we were there. Love the different areas for large and small dogs. Love the waste bags they have available (even though I have my own) love the water fountains. Now if Bloomington can get a couple no leash dog parks on board that would be awesome. :)
