Perry’s James Beard-Winning Japanese Chef Credits Mom for Cooking Skills | Eater DC

"At her first professional gig the chef demonstrated a playful, boundary-pushing take on traditional Japanese dishes, notably an okonomiyaki topped with black garlic aioli and prosciutto that blends classic technique with non-Japanese ingredients. This early work showcased her willingness to experiment and reinterpret comfort-food classics." - Emily Venezky

Maxwell Place Park is a beautiful spot in Hoboken! The park is clean, peaceful, and very well-maintained, making it a great place for a walk, picnic, walking your dog or just to relax by the water. There is a closed dog park and playground for kids..Tables are available to sit and have picnic. Bathroom is available in this location. The highlight is definitely the amazing New York City skyline view, which looks especially beautiful when it is dark. The only downside is that parking can be a challenge in the area, so it’s best to plan ahead or come by public transportation if you can. Overall, a wonderful park to enjoy nature and the city views!

Ideal place to enjoy the city views and exercise on a long journey that lends itself to these seaside sports activities in New York.

Read my review on Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse. Fantastic.

Discovering this park was a pleasant surprise! The views of Manhattan were spectacular!! The weather was beautiful and the park was peaceful. It had a dog park and a playground for kids. Lots of tables if you brought a lunch. Lots of park benches if you just wanted to take in the views! Bonus is that they have a nice public toilet too!

Maxwell Place Park offers an incredible view of the Manhattan skyline and the Hudson River, making it a great spot for relaxing or taking a walk. The park is well-maintained, with clean pathways, benches, and ample green space. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful place to sit by the water or a spot to take stunning photos of the city, this park is perfect. Its proximity to Hoboken’s main streets and the Hoboken Historical Museum adds to its charm. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Really nice park has kind of 2 parks, there is an inland portion across a street witg a bigger dog park and basket ball court and larger playground. The waterfront all has a dog park and playground just smaller. Has a small beach area [like 50' wide] and bathrooms in the boat house. Has maybe 10 tables tons of benches on the walking path near the water. Nice place

I love this park! In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful places in Hoboken. Good green esplanade, beach area with kayaking, playground. And also you can see some Canadian geese.

Yelp
Amazing spot. 1) Great place to come and enjoy the nice views of NYC skyline. 2) Lots of spots to have a picnic and relax on a nice day. 3) The park is open 24/7.

Yelp
Probably my favorite little piece of Hoboken. It's the best for views and also has a dog park and a playground for the kiddos. In the summer the hoboken cove boathouse operates here too for kayaking and paddle boarding.

Yelp
Love this park. It has a beautiful view of NYC with plenty of space to lounge out without feeling like you are on top of the next person. It is also not as well known as Pier A which is good. They have a playground and a dog run so it satisfies all your needs. There is also an frozen yogurt shop (16 handles) nearby so we would normally get some frozen yogurt and walk around the park. Apparently they also do kayaking from the beach area but that isn't my thing. Cool park overall!

Yelp
I'm an uptown girl, and I prefer this park head and shoulders above Pier A. It's farther from the train station and has no porta potties so you don't get the vagrants. You don't get as many people in general, which is nice if you wanna spread out on the lawn with a blanket and catch some rays without inhaling someone's secondhand smoke or getting hit in the head with a football. It can get rather goose poopy at some times of the year so be careful where you lay your head. For those of you with rugrats, there's a playground at the near side. Just keep them there, I don't pay exorbitant monthly copays for birth control for no reason. I don't have my own and I don't wanna hear yours, either. Finally, in case you're really drunk or just stupid, heed the "no bathing" sign next to the rocky beach. We don't want people coming out of the Hudson with a third eye or something.

Yelp
A Small Park With a View of the Hudson Having one of the rug-rats mentioned in an earlier review I spent the majority of my time here at the playground in the park. We found it after visiting Pier 13 for a social get together. This park has a small toddler park near the trees. There are 2 gated play structures and 2 gated swings and toddler swings. The playgrounds have rubberized grounds to keep little ones safe from little falls. This park is on the small side without any full sized fields or playing courts available. There are walking/jogging paths along the Hudson. 2 small dog runs are also located near the playgrounds. There is a station to rent some City Bikes near the street. And a small green space well suited for a little picnic or just relaxing in the sun. This place is in FULL SUN so plan accordingly. Drinking fountains are available but restrooms are not. Bathrooms can be found across the street at the frozen yogurt store. The Park is Also next to: Free kayaking with Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse Elysian Park Pier 13 or P13R according to the shirts ;)

Yelp
If you are visiting NYC for 4th of July, the only good thing about being in NJ instead of NYC? Well the view of the fireworks. If you are on the NYC, you better believe the traffic is awful, very crowded and the view is of NJ! Where as if you are on the NJ side you get to look at the fireworks and the Manhattan skyline. I came here for view the 4th of July Fireworks and it's glorious!

Yelp
Waterfront-ish park/dog park with a relatively rugged (tiny) 'beach' area.
