This is such a charming little café and homewares store. From the moment you walk in, it feels warm and thoughtfully curated. The coffee was genuinely lovely, and the range of pottery and ceramics on display was stunning, beautifully made pieces that you actually want to take home. I already know I’ll be back next time I visit Hanoi, ideally with plenty of space in my suitcase because it would be impossible to leave empty handed.
Unfortunately, the only thing that took away from the experience was the atmosphere at times. While we were there, several groups appeared to be using the café purely as a backdrop for photos rather than enjoying it as a place to relax. Tables were occupied for long periods by people bringing friends and photographers, ordering drinks that were barely touched or not consumed at all. I didn’t see any of these groups actually purchasing coffee to enjoy or buying any of the homewares, which felt unfair to both other customers and the business itself.
It was a shame because the space itself is genuinely beautiful and deserves to be enjoyed properly. With a little more management around this kind of behaviour, the café would be close to perfect. Despite this, the quality of the coffee and the stunning ceramics still make it a place worth visiting.
