"While the restaurant scene has some exciting newcomers, Maya del Sol is where Oak Parkers have been brunching and dining, al fresco when possible, since 2007. Beautiful little spot! It did not disappoint. Solo night so I had to treat myself. Food was good the atmosphere was great but the star of the show was my server Emilio. He recommended me dishes that I loved. Always checked up on me making sure I was satisfied and I don’t know how he did this but he convinced me to get dessert. If you go ask for him!

Google
First time dining at Maya, and the food was delicious. Our server Josh was attentive and explained the drink and entrée menu very thoroughly. You have the opportunity to ask for more spicy sauces that hit the spot just right. The dishes were succulent and full of flavor. Carlos Lopez, the bar manager, checked in on us throughout the night and ensured that we had a great dining experience. We are definitely coming back!

Google
The food was great, as well as our server was great. They also allowed us to have a very very small baby shower at our table on the patio. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Google
Always a great time. Staff is incredibly polite and friendly. The food is always topnotch and the wait staff have always gone above and beyond to provide amazing service. The alcohol selection is nice. The space is huge and still very cozy. Very conveniently located with parking and CTA options nearby.

Google
The food here is very delicious! The staff is always so incredibly nice. During our first visit when I told the waiter we had just moved to Oak Park he took it upon himself to write a short list of all the other great restaurants (besides Maya del Sol) in the area that we needed to try out! I live very close to here and can smell the wonderful food cooking every day they're open and wish I could afford to eat here every day! The tortilla soup and the queso fundido have been my favorites so far. My son had the lamb and really enjoyed it as well! The covered patio is very lovely and cozy without feeling crowded.

Google
Very disappointed that the restaurant is still charging a “hospitality surcharge “of 3%. Presumably the surcharge is to offset the rising price of the ingredients. That said, we paid $29 for six shrimp, $23 for one mushroom tostada with nothing special as ingredients. I would think that any extra price for ingredients would be included in those prices. Also, the portion size was small, on all the plates. My wife made the reservation For Mother’s Day. We’ve always had good meals at the restaurant, but the price, the 3% charge, the portion size has gotten out of control. You can get a better meal for less within two blocks. To be fair, the food was good, but not great. Nothing particularly innovative or exciting about the food. The service was good but again, not great. We had to ask for a clean plates and more water. Another point of contention is that they bring the bill and the credit card payment to the table, which I like but you have hardly have time to review the bill and then the lowest percentage for a tip is 20%. I know you can input your own tip, but then that’s another step. And, even more frustrating is they add the tax and then you tip on the tax which should not be happening. I will not be going back simply because of the price points, for food and service that’s good but not great. Maybe if you can get a seat in the back which is very nice alfresco dining and have a drink and an appetizer, specifically the large nachos which were very good but again nothing special or particularly creative. That might be the route to go. Definitely not a destination place for people who live outside of Oak Park.

Google
Overall this place was really good. Everything we had was delicious, but a fairly small menu (we checked it out before we went to make sure we had something that interested us). We had to sit inside due to the weather, but friends in the area said the outdoor patio is really nice. Service was really good and prompt, and food came out really quickly. Would recommend, and gave it a 4-star rating mainly due to the price of items, but worth it.

Google
Trendy location located in Oak Park which offers food inspired in a few latin American countries and not primarily focused on Mexican cuisine. We ordered everything to share for a party of 3. We started with the order of nachos which were pretty tasty I must admit, no beans for us, but I'd say with the small order you'll be good for up to 4 people to share it. The meat on them was packed with flavor and a decent serving of it. Followed thru with the market ceviche (varies depending on what market has to offer), I'd say this was the least impressive and I'd go as far as to not recommend it, maybe try something else in the appetizer section. The main courses were the barbacoa tacos, I must admit it was the start of the show. Delicious tortillas and flavor packed meat with some delicious sauces. Very good serving as well so if you're sharing you'll be good with a single taco even. We followed up with the cochinita pibil which was also good, came with tortillas and they were decent but just another cochinita, I would recommend ordering another round of tacos instead of this. Altogether it was a good experience, the service is outstanding and the outdoor seating area is really nice. The price point seemed a little steep but we also probably ordered a little too much. The people I went with also ordered cocktails which seemed pretty good as well. I recommend it. The birthday tres leches was a nice touch too.

Yelp
It's been almost 10 years since we've been to Maya and having good weather the other weekend, we booked an outdoor patio table. The outside is so beautiful and I highly recommend it. Our service was okay - nothing great. I feel she was new and timid. For example - I would have ordered another drink - had she come by to ask. But she never did. We then had to ask her twice for a spicy salsa...of which she brought us one that she said was very spicy. We thought it tasted like a sweet ketchup. For starters - we got the special ceviche - which was really good. The chef definitely has the ability to combine ingredients together. I got the Carne Asada and my husband got the Pork Chop. He felt the pork chop was a tad dry, but I loved my carne asada. Would we go back? Yes - if in the area, but not one that we would make the special drive for.

Yelp
I drive by this restaurant at least once a week and have been wanting to try it for a while now. Decided to go to their Mother's Day brunch buffet to get a little taste of everything and I was not disappointed! The buffet had SO many things to choose from but we loved the carne asada steak with chimichurri the most! Everything was very flavorful and the buffet was always stocked when we went up. We tried almost everything they offered and loved it all, except for the dessert options - the churros were the best but we weren't a fan of the cheesecake bites at all. Can't wait to try their dinner options! 9/10 brunch buffet!

Yelp
I work in the area and I've known about this place for a very long time. I finally was able to try it and was pleasantly surprised. The food we ordered was presented well and it was flavorful. It's a good lively spot for dinner and drinks in the suburbs.

Yelp
I was skeptical about coming here, but so glad I did! There are two seating options - indoors and an outdoor patio in the back. There are accommodations for small and large parties as well. I recommend you make a reservation, but if you end up walking in, I recommend you avoid busy lunch and dinner times. They welcome you with complimentary chips and salsa. Our server was extremely detailed and made sure to check in on us often. The mangaso cocktail was delicious, I can come here just for that again and again. The tinga sopes were absolutely delicious, I could easily eat two orders of those as my entree. The roasted chicken was juicy and flavorful. The blackened fish tacos were not worth it in my opinion, I would say skip them, nothing special. The churros for dessert were a perfect ending to such a wonderful meal.

Yelp
I came here on the recommendation of my friend to grab a bite to eat before going to the United Center. Nice place on Oak Park Ave. The server was outstanding but unfortunately the food was mediocre & pricy They had 1/2 price margaritas so we had a few. The blackened Tacos looked very good but looks can be deceiving. They are beautifully presented but unfortunately the tacos were tasteless. The blackened fish tacos also had onions, cabbage, peppers, pico mango & chipotle aioli (sounds good, looks good) but the flavors were flat & @ $18 for 3 tacos a bit too pricy. Maybe I should have ordered something else.

Yelp
We came to Maya del Sol for brunch on a Sunday, and we were able to be seated right away without a reservation. There were plenty of veggie options on the brunch menu! We ended up splitting a sweet and a savory (the best way to do brunch). The huevos rancheros was really good. I liked that instead of chips they gave a full tortilla. Then we also split the chocolate chip pancakes. Our server was really outgoing and engaging, and was quick to bring extra hot sauce and maple syrup when we asked. All of this was more than enough for 2 hungry people!

Yelp
Have been here a couple time- it is a cute place and has a nice patio from what I hear in the summer. The staff is very friendly but both times the waiters started very attentive and then went MIA. They do get very busy so maybe they are understaffed? The fire roasted shrimp is very good. I got the oaxacan old fashioned but it was too sweet for me. There complimentary chips and salsa is very good- good guacamole. The cookie dessert was really good but huge so definitely share it with many people. Want to come back to check it out in the summer

Yelp
We had an excellent dinner at Maya Del Sol recently while in town visiting friends. The chips, salsa and guacamole were excellent. Service was great and the atmosphere of Maya Del Sol was busy in a comforting way for a Thursday night. I had the halibut special with cuitlacoche sauce and it was delicious! If we lived in the area we'd be back often.

Yelp
Must try! One of my favorite restaurants! Love their French toast, carne asada and tres leches cake!

Yelp
Pleasant Atmosphere, Mediocre Food My recent visit to Maya del Sol left me with mixed feelings. The restaurant's ambiance was undeniably charming, with its warm and inviting décor creating a relaxed atmosphere. However, I couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by the food. While the menu boasted a good mix of latin dishes, the execution fell short of expectations. The flavors were decent but very bland, and lacked the depth and authenticity I was hoping for. We ordered roasted chicken which was very very dry and lacked seasoning and sauces. The next on the menu table wqs wild mushrooms toast Ada's which was sour and tangy for some reason. The squash was decent in taste. And the best of all out of the 4 dishes was the fire roasted shrimps. It had some decent flavored sauces and wild rice combination. On the positive side, the service was attentive and friendly, which somewhat made up for the culinary disappointment. They also offered valet parking service and got us blankets as it got chilly in the evening. Also decent drinks on the menu. In the end, Maya del Sol offers a nice place to spend an evening, but I wish the food could match the ambiance's level of excellence.

Yelp
I went to Maya Del Sol for my second time last Friday and again, had a truly wonderful experience. To start, the service is amazing - our waitress was extremely entertaining and had a wonderful personality while also being attentive our entire meal. I ordered the corn and ricotta tamales and absolutely loved them (I also ordered these last time and couldn't pass up since I loved them so much). I also ordered the rice and beans to complete my meal. To drink, I had the spicy margarita and although not as spicy as I am used to, it was still very good. Thank you Maya Del Sol for another amazing experience and can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
Went in for a bite to eat on a Friday night rather than staying home and ordering take out. I viewed the menu beforehand and was sold when I saw Platanos De Ropa Vieja on the menu. As it is one of my absolute favorites. My dining partner is vegetarian, so I was thrilled to see multiple options for them to choose from. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. We requested children's menus but only received crayons (we enjoy coloring as we wait for our food). However, since we studied the menu prior, we immediately put our appetizers in. Our appetizers arrived sooner than expected. I ordered the Platanos De Ropa Vieja, and my dining partner ordered Tamales. I found the beef a bit salty, and my guest found the corn maize quite sweet. In addition to the corn inside the Tamales, they said it was a bit overwhelming. However, we decided to order out entrees to go. To describe our entrees in one word, I'd have to say SALT. I ordered the blackened fish tacos, and my partner ordered the Chile Rellenos. My fish tacos were too salty to finish more than one in an order of 3. The Chile was not as described and certainly not worth the cost for cheese inside a pepper. I would not go back on my dime. Maybe if someone else is paying. We did not order drinks, so perhaps I'd go back to check those out. Overall, the service was good. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance and is great for dates, family, and friends

Yelp
Im a harsh critic, and this place was great! We loved the plantain with beef!!! I also loved the mushroom tostada and the entree chili relleno. The drinks are so yummy and they have yummy non alcoholic options. The place is near, tidy, trendy, and clean. The server was very patient, informative, and nice! Overall, great experience!!

Yelp
Absolutely loved the outdoor area and highly recommend choosing to eat there if you can, especially in the evening as the string lights illuminate. The food was fantastic! All the tacos were great, I recommend the barbacoa tacos, the ceviche, and the churros.

Yelp
Writing another review for their New Year's Day brunch! We have gone two New Year's in a row now. It's a pajama brunch, so if you come wearing pajamas, you can get a free mimosa or faux-mosa (which is probably just orange juice haha). The spread for the brunch buffet is amazing. I think my favorite is the salmon or the steak with chimichurri sauce. The french toast was really good too. They have breakfast classics too, like sausage, egg, and bacon. I really enjoyed the traditional ceviche though. The desserts were also really good. There is a churro that is filled with chocolate. I also got the chocolate mousse. I believe a bunch of these items are on their regular menu, but I loved having the opportunity to try a little of everything!

Yelp
Didn't like this place, it's not quality Mexican food. I guess if it "fusion" is Fake Mexican food.
google avatar

Yelp
Three ladies for drinks and apps b4 a show. Shared the fundido, stuffed plantains, and fish tacos. Ranked... 1. Plantains - Licked the plate. I could eat 6 as an entree 2. Fundido - Delicious, with shrimp and potatoes The fish tacos don't make the cut. Bland as ever, the toppings tried to save, but not even added pico de gallo helped. Didn't finish. Virgin Mangaso drink ftw!

Yelp
Ahhh Maya Del Sol did it again for me!!! My last review was 4 stars which really reflected a fulfilling experience, but I can't help but give them 5 stars now because it's quickly become one of my favorite spots near home to grab lunch or dinner. This time around I went celebrating my dads belated birthday, and they were so sweet to bring out a complimentary skillet cookie to celebrate with us. The service we had was truly amazing, he did an awesome job explaining each item on the menu, giving us his recs, and highlighting their specials for the week. I also love that they have a reward program (super helpful if you're a local to Oak Park area) and even have live music on selected dates. Every single food we ordered was flavorful, bright, and so tasty!! We went with: -Salmon -Nachos -Ropa vieja (Sooo filling and sweet and savory at the same time) -Monk fish (a special that week) -Traditional Ceviche I highly recommend Maya Del Sol! Plus: valet parking during the week and free street parking on the weekend

Yelp
This place has 2 main areas for dining, a full sized bar inside and a large patio out back. There is plenty of space to accommodate a large number of guests. We arrived for brunch with 4 adults and 2 small children. Their children's menu has a coloring picture on the back and they supplied a 4 pack of crayons for the kiddos. Our server did a nice job and they brought out the kids food right away just like we had asked. We tried several different cocktails and we all agreed that we enjoyed those. The Bloody Marie was especially tasty and a good choice, as well as the prickly pear Bellini. As far as the food was concerned, I had the blackened fish tacos off the main menu and was very disappointed. Most good Mexican restaurants are known for their seafood dishes and this one used so much seasoning, you couldn't tell that you were even eating fish. I did like the taco toppings though, but for the price, they missed the mark on this dish. My son ordered the steak skillet from the brunch menu and I was surprised to see it come out looking more like a steak salad. Ok, if that's what you wanted, but not really a skillet dish. The table also saw a Huevos Rancheros and a breakfast burrito from the brunch menu. The breakfast burrito was well liked and I was told the Huevos Rancheros was good. I would be willing try this place again and see if I had better luck, but I would definitely try something different and just know that it's a little overpriced for what you are served. Or just go for the cocktails and the patio!

Yelp
Had dinner here last week and was a bit disappointed in the food. It just wasn't very good for the price. My $27 plate of shrimp was kind of bland and the rice tasted off. Also, although it's only a few bucks, the 3% surcharge on all bills to "offset increasing costs" is ridiculous. We, the customers, also have increased costs. Everyone's costs have increased. If you're going to add an extra 3% on every bill, just be honest upfront and raise your prices so we can decide if we want to pay the true cost of attending your restaurant before we sit down.

J D.

Yelp
Food is great, they have started charging a 3 % service charge on the receipts "to defray costs". That is BS. Raise your prices, pay your taxes, stop swindling customers. The food is worth the cost but the dishonesty in prices leave a bad taste.

Yelp
After being seated, my wife instantly felt cold. The server Eli arrived promptly there after. I jokingly asked if he had a blanket for my wife. A minute later that's exactly what he brought. 5 star service! The Ambiance seemed romantic, lightsalsa music playing in the background. Dim, but elegant lighting really set the mood for great drinks and spectacular food robust with flavor. We eat everything on our plates. Maya del Sol is a must try! You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Saw a show at the nearby Arts Center and walked to this gem on Oak Park Ave. good service and great food! The homemade chips, salsa and guacamole are really good. The chicken enchiladas were also perfect. Their Sangrias- we tried both the red and white- were yummy. Highly recommended

Nyah C.

Yelp
I went here with my Mother to Celebrate. We were instantly seated without reservations, a plus since it was 8pm on a Friday. The restaurant is beautiful, spacious, nice music. My first issue is that my cup was dirty. I could feel/see the grime and lip-prints. We ordered the tamales, mole, and plátanos de ropa vieja as appetizers. The mole was smaller than I expected and slightly salty, which was disappointing. I'm vegetarian and always looking for yummy tamales and would rate this dish a 3/5. My Mom rated the plántanos de ropa vieja a 3/5 due to salty as well. Our waiter was knowledgeable on items when I asked questions, but wasn't as attentive as I would have preferred. We ordered the rest of our food to go, simply because the appetizers took away our urge to eat, but we knew we'd be hungry once we got home. Service: 3 Food: 3 Ambiance: 4

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants across all food categories, Maya Del Sol never disappoints. The service is always solid with very nice staff. The food is always excellent! Hint - Try the Nachos and thank me later ( - ; I did try the brunch menu and was not that impressed so I would suggest stick with dinner. Hope you enjoy,

Yelp
I can't say enough about the patio, its beautiful and has a wonderful atmosphere. Our server Phil was so nice, attentive and just a joy. We tried several things to share and everything was delicious. Please make a reservation for the patio asap! Shrimp tacos - three to an order, very good. Barbacoa tacos - three to an order, I did not try but my friends said it was good. Vegetarian enchiladas - sweet and savory, very filling. Traditional ceviche - please order this if you like ceviche, it was sooo good!! Guacamole - lots of onions and a perfect amount of cilantro and lime. This was really good! Fruta margarita - i had the guava and prickly pear. The guava was incredible with a great flabor. The prickly pear flavor was a beautiful pink and had a more subtle pear flavor but overall a great margarita.

Yelp
Always love coming here. One of our favorite spots in Oak Park. Great drinks (e.g. Sandra and specialty drinks), that pairs well with the food (e.g. ceviche).

Yelp
What a wonderful find. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgable. Our server Angel was great. So full of great suggestions and really did his best to give us a wonderful experience. They have a large drink menu full of specialty and standard drinks. I went with the mangaso, rum, mango, lime cube, and lime juice. Refreshing, delicious, and dangerously drinkable. The food menu is great too, choices for everyone. For an appetizer we got the tamales filled with sweet corn and ricotta poblano cream sauce. So delouse. For my meal I went with the rope vieja, a dish Angel described as Cuban comfort foot. I love these authentic dishes. Stewed beef, polenta cake, pico de Gallo, queso fresco, and Amarillo aloli. What a great dish. So full of flavor and texture. A very complex yet elegantly simple dish. Loved every bite. For dessert I had the churros stuffed with chocolate and cinnamon sugar. So sweet so good. We also had the tres leches cake. Spunge cake, rum cream sauce, toasted coconut, whipped cream and caramelized pineapple. Light flavorful and delicious. Incredible food, fanatic service, lovely atmosphere, and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend.

Yelp
This place was good! The habanero salsa was killer! The chicken sopes were good. The ropa vieja was a little salty for me. I also had the Jamaica, that was real good! Service was great! Very friendly and helpful and attendant! The place was decorated nicely. It was pretty busy when we went. So we sat at the bar. Parking is on the street or they also have valet.
google avatar

Carleen T.

Yelp
Best Mexican Food around! Great place to hang out on the patio and enjoy wonderful food! They have tasty non-alcoholic drinks and really unique salsa, too!

Yelp
We had high hopes for this spot. It came highly recommended by a friend. Our first impressions were very positive. We were greeted warmly and the decor was vey nice. Our server was very nice and made us feel welcome. The food, while it looked great was very bland and disappointing. We tried the Chile Rellano, Ropa Vieja, and Chicken Enchiladas. I wouldn't recommend any of these menu options.

Joe C.

Yelp
We've been here multiple times. Usually that means a restaurant will stumble at least once but I can honestly say that Maya Del Sol has never failed to meet my expectations and then some. Most recently we (along with 5 of our friends) tried out their new tasting menu, which seems to be their new Thursday night thing. We loved it!! Outstanding tasting menu with each course paired with a drink from whatever liquor they are showcasing that night. For us, it was mezcal. Everything from the drinks to the food to the service to gorgeous outdoor patio was amazing. We love this local gem as do our friends who drive from as far as an hour away for dinner here.

E J.

Yelp
I come here frequently for sit down and take out. They are consistently excellent and go above and beyond. This is arguably the best restaurant in oak park. How is their red salsa so good? Amazing vegetarian options and my wife and kids love the platanos ropa vieja and mini sliders. Great sangria as well
google avatar

Tosha R.

Yelp
I have been to Maya del Sol a few times over the years. Some items on the menus are hits while others are misses. The cocktails and service are consistently great with each visit. We started with the tamales which were very good but a bit too much of the breading. The filling and sauce were very good. My friend ordered the carne asada medium well. It looked and smelled very good. I ordered the chicken enchiladas which were ok. I've had the vegetarian enchiladas and found them to be alot more enjoyable. Also, would recommend the avocado relleno, the lamb chops special whenenever its on menu, and the fire roasted shrimp.

Yelp
I don't know what took me soo long to eat here. This place has been recommended to me for years now. How was my first visit? I absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, the staff is very nice, and the patio is perfect for a leisurely meal. All I can say is, yes, it's true I have been missing out. Its feels like a nice ocean side restaurant in California. I loved the risotto croquettes which to me were a nice Latin spin on Italian arancini and Iberian style cuchifrito. The plantains with mole were also a standout. The mole had a great depth of flavor the pared up well with the plantains. This will now become one of my go to places in Oak Park! I can't wait to return.

Yelp
Went for a co-worker bday. super time. drinks were on point. all the food was fresh and hot. nachos were spicy and crispy. ceviche no words. perfect. waiter was the bomb. outside was scrumptious. Colleen the host was not there today but she always greets me in the best way with her smile. keep doing what you do. wonderful.

Yelp
Last Friday, my team and I had the pleasure of dining at Maya Del Sol, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible service we received. After a long day of meetings, we were looking forward to unwinding and enjoying some good food, and Maya Del Sol exceeded our expectations. We had a party of about 22 people, which can be quite challenging for any restaurant to handle, but the staff at Maya Del Sol handled it with grace and efficiency. Our server, Erin, deserves special recognition for her outstanding service. She was attentive, fast, and incredibly patient with our large group. It's not easy to cater to the needs of 22 people, but Erin did it flawlessly and with a smile on her face. I have no doubt that Erin went home exhausted after serving us, but her exceptional customer service truly made our dining experience unforgettable. Thank you, Erin and the rest of the Maya Del Sol team, for your hard work and dedication. We will definitely be back for more delicious food and fantastic service!

Yelp
We came here for Christmas Eve with a huge party-- really grateful that they were open and willing to take us. There was a slight issue that we sat down and waited for about a half an hour but didn't have a waiter. We went up to the front and asked about it, and they immediately sent a manager (?) over who took care of our table all evening, and went above and beyond with appetizers and drinks to make us feel better. The food was great-- loved!! the tamales, the guacamole was excellent, and my fire roasted shrimp entree was great too. Spicy and hearty... with really inventive and fresh ingredients. Oak Park has some truly excellent Mexican food, from divey tacquerias to the most upscale... and Maya Del Sol belongs on the list of the best!

Yelp
This is a great spot, sad I just discovered it. Met an old friend for Happy Hour. Specials were alright - pickanna margarita, sangria and Mexican beer are half off. The margarita was a little sweet. We split an order of nachos which were really good. The real star of the show is the patio. It's is huge and sun drenched. Great service as well. The wait staff frequently checked on us and topped off water. Everything came out quickly.

Yelp
Officially, I've been to Maya Del Sol twice in two weeks. Once for dinner and once for brunch. For dinner, I came on a Wednesday evening and got their non traditional ceviche along with a drink that tasted like skittles lol. The person I came with did chips and salsa, the carne asada along with the cheeseburger. Our service was divine and the food arrived pretty quickly between ordering and receiving. On the way out we noticed there was an outdoor patio area and that's what prompted us to return. Now on to brunch... I did brunch on a Sunday around noon and instantly we were seated. We chose outside because the weather was beautiful. We ordered two prickly pear Bellinis, chilaquiles (add chicken) and the vegetarian enchiladas with only the queso fresco. Our Bellinis were sub par - definitely a huge fan of prickly pear because it's amazing when it's picked right and in season. Unfortunately, our drinks gave artificial colored cheap champagne. You felt buzzed if you had one too many but if you really wanted that pear taste, this ain't it sweetheart. Our food - delectable. The vegetarian enchiladas were more favorable than the chilaquiles, but both definitely were seasoned well. I do wish the egg on the chilaquiles were two sunny side up rather than open face omelet style. Our sever, Marina, (yes she gets a shout out) was phenomenal. She literally knows what it means to be a server, give good customer service and provide great food recommendations. Will I return? Possibly to show others a good time but I've had two amazing experiences and definitely want to explore other restaurants. I'm all Maya Del Sol-ed out for right now. Lol

Yelp
Everything was excellent the ambiance, the food and the drinks. We sat outside on the patio. Very pretty. I highly recommend it. The food and drinks were great. And despite that they are always busy, the service is still good. My only complaint is the price. I have no problem paying for their high quality food and drinks. I just hate that they charged an extra 3% "hospitality" charge for 2 people and then still force you to pay a minimum of 20% or higher tip. I normally pay 20% or higher tips anyway, but their computer still forces you to tip at least a minimum 20%. I was not aware of the extra 3% "hospitality" charge until I got home.

Yelp
Wow this spot is unreal. The menu has so much to offer with upscale Mexican entrees 'with a twist'. I had the fish tacos and my husband at the carne asada. The flavors were so amazing. Portions were big but the food was so good you cant leave anything behind! Complimentary chips and salsa were very good as well as the margaritas! I recommend sitting out in their patio if it's a nice evening because it's gorgeous. Staff was prompt and friendly. 10/10 recommend.

Yelp
One of the nicest outdoor dining experiences we've had! Reminds us a lot of LA, San Diego, New Mexico type feel. Very open and comfortable. The food was spectacular as we both had brunch times. I had the chef's special eggs Benedict while my wife had the steak and eggs - both were phenomenal! The chefs eggs Benedict had pork belly as the English muffin - bananas!!! I will dot that again for sure when it's an option. We also suggest getting the empinadas as those were excellent. The brunch drink specials are also good, $5 mimosas and sangria, but by May want to consider the bloody Mary or bloody Maria as another option - also take a look at the Bellini's as they have varying fruit options. For dessert we opted for the chocolate pancakes - also something to consider for a future visit. Make sure to go, excellent food, beautiful atmosphere and spot on drinks!

Yelp
Everything we ate was delicious! We had the fire roasted shrimp and the carne asada. For the appetizer, we had tge tinga sopes. Everything was bursting with flavors. Our server was super friendly and very attentive. I couldn't find one thing to complain about. I will definitely be going back with family.

Yelp
I could have sworn I had posted a review of Maya del Sol years ago when I first came to get the experience for a blog post. I see that never happened. Instead, it looks like I had posted the photos. Years ago when I came, I fell in love with the dinner menu. Everything was a hit every time. They certainly don't compromise Mexican did, even with the new takes applied in the recipes. Due to the pandemic, a year passed since I had returned. Recently came back during brunch and now I'm a fan of their brunch menu. Service is always top and even with restaurants opening for in-house dining, I appreciate being able to get a seat without having people on top of me. And, as usual, the did is worth repeat visits.
